Error in Broadcasting

Dear Gurus,
We are facing an error in one of the 15 settings created for a Query while all others are working fine only this one is giving a problem while execution.
It gave the following error while broadcasting :
The following error text was processed in the system P24 : Invalid partial field access: Length 0
The error occurred on the application server otc160_P24_11 and in the work process 1 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
And the following error came up in ST22 :
Short text
    Invalid partial field access: Length 0
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', wa
caught in
procedure "PRECALCULATE_1" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the executed program "CL_RSR_PREC_SERVER============CP", the system
attempted to access the field
"L_S_WBSTORE-CLUSTD" using the length 0.
However, a partial field access with the length specification 0 is not
allowed.
If anybody is aware of the problem and has faced a resolution of the same could you please let me know about the resolution.
Our system has been upgraded to EHP1 Pack 4 and since the same thing is working for other settings it doesnt seem to be a problem with System Pack.
Regards,
Den

Hi Yi,
There was an issue with Master data not maintained for the setting. Hence this was an issue.
Could you please check all the Mater Data and check.

  • Broadcast Error while broadcasting a template

    hi...
    I am facing error while broadcasting a template as a PDF file.
    Error: com.sap.ip.bi.base.exception.BIBaseRuntimeException
    I cant find any other details for this error.
    I am able to broadcast the query.But i am not able to broadcast the template which includes the same query.
    When i tried to assign a different query to thesame template, its working.It means that template is working fine.
    The problem is the combination of the actaul query and actual template is not working.
    I also checked with the support desktool and the configuration settings which are fine.
    There are no error logs found. When we execute the template for broadcast it should initially communicate with the BW system and then from there we wil recieve mail.
    But here when i am executing i am not able to see any logs in BW syetem, the report is not getting communicated with the BW system.
    There are 4 queries with their corresponding templates for which templates are not getting broadcasted. The queries are designed for top n customers. These queries have offsets and also for one of the query there are exit variables.
    I want to know that is there any problem with the query or some setting problem which will make the combination of query and template work properly  i.e broadcasted properly.
    Can anyone please provide some inputs????

    this seems that the Portal engine set up with your companys portal and Web application designer is not working...
    u mighte need toa pply OSS notes.
    have you checked it on SAP service market place.

  • Error in Broadcaster - An Active RFC Server could not be found

    Hi all,
    I am trying to broadcast a workbook to my mailbox through Information Broadcasting, i am trying this in BI 7.0 system.  In the Broadcasting wizard, I gave my mailid & the other required credentials.  But when i click on Schedule, i am getting a Error message "An Active RFC Server could not be found.  Error occured during processing of framework class CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_EXCEL, type PROD".
    I checked in SU01 & my mailid is already added there.  So, where am i missing or is there any settings need to be done for the Broadcaster to work?
    Thanks,
    Murali

    The precalc server is not needed if you are generating html output, but certainly is mandatory  for the Broiacaster to run/distribute BEx Excel Workbooks.
    The BW needs access to a Windows computer that has Excel on it.  The BW connects to the Precacl and sends it a request it run a BEx wkbk, which the BW then can email to users.
    The precalc server is a Windows Service.  You can install it locally on your desktop, or it can be installed on a windows server.  There is a little config that needs to be done.  The How To Troubleshoot Information Broadcasting link in the other resposne will provide all the steps.  You should obtain the most current version of the software from SAP.
    You'll need a precalc server for each BW system in your landscape that you want to broadcast BEx wkbks from, so if you have Dev and QA systems, you'll need precalcs for them as well.

  • BIBaseRuntimeException error when broadcasting to print

    Hi all we have sps 16 with all the recomended patches e.g. sapkw70018....
    and still we have the problem of broadcasting to a printer.  I have a query that is broadcasted upon data change to the printer. problem is when the query is too big (variables have lots of records) it give the error message com.sap.ip.bi.base.exception.BIBaseRuntimeException and if the variables have few records it prints.
    could it be a java setting some sort of timeout so that if the query or number of records are large it drops the connection and gives the error message?? (the same query with the variables broadcasts to the portal no problems)
    Can anyone please help.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Avinesh

    Hi Jeroen,
    Maybe you don't have in the TSP03 table the Printer Declaration for the LOCL Output Device (TSP03-PADEST field).
    Please take a look at SE16 transaction to confirm it.
    NOTE: Try to see also the ADS_GET_PRINTER_ATTRIBUTES function module and the LFP_PRINTPRI include, the error you are getting is occurring in the Line 60 of that include.

    Daniel Carvalho.

  • Error while broadcasting report to few users only!!

    Hello everybody,
                                We have a report which is scheduled for broadcasting to all users daily.Report data is hierarchy based.
    But, for few users report does not go, in  RSRD_BROADCAST_LOG we found following warning i.e. message with YELLOW signal light
    '<userid> not usable for Jobstep'.
    What is mean by this warning and how to correct it?
    I have checked the user profile, his email id is correct and the Comm.Meth is 'INT E-Mail'.
    Regards,
    Priyanka Joshi

    Hi Priyanka,
    Just a guess, check a user type for the user for which system shows warning .. I think it will be other than "Dialog". It could be background,communication and some other type. This types of users are  not meant for receiving broadcasting .
    Try to change the user type to "Dialog" and it should go through.
    Hope that helps.

    Mr Kapadia

  • RSRD_X_PRODUCE_PROXY error in broadcasting job

    Hi,
    After system copy i am facing a problem in Production system that is
    The Brodcasting Jobs are getting failed due to the given below error
    Error log :
    Java system error: call FM RSRD_X_PRODUCE_PROXY to ProgId xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on host xxxxxxxxx with SSOnot authorized: No login m
    Message no. RSBOLAP018
    Diagnosis
    An error occurred in the BI components on the SAP J2EE Engine.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator to have the error analyzed in detail.
    Procedure for System Administration
    Start the Visual Administrator, log on to the SAP J2EE Engine and choose "<J2EE_SID>" ->"Server" -> "Services" -> "Log Viewer".
    The file "defaultTrace.trc" includes detailed information about the error that occurred. In Windows, you can find this file in the Log Viewer under "Cluster <computer name>" -> "Server <server number>" -> "<drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<INSTANCE>\j2ee\cluster\server<NUMBER>\log". ". In Unix, the file is located under "/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/server<NUMBER>/log".
    If the file does not include enough detail about the error, you can increase the log level to obtain more information. To do this, choose "<J2EE_SID>" -> "Server" -> "Services" -> "Log Configurator". On the "Locations" tab page, choose "com" -> "sap" -> "ip" -> "bi" -> "webapplications". Using the selection list on the right side of the screen, you can increase the log level, whereby "DEBUG" represents the log level with the most information. You can save your settings by choosing the "Save" icon. The change to the log level is active immediately. Once you have successfully analyzed the error, you should set the log level back to its default value using the appropriate pushbutton; continuous writing to the log file negatively affects the overall performance of the system.

    Hi,
    There are issues with communication between Java WAS and ABAP WAS. Make sure that the system - connection tests for system in System landscape of Portal, userid in JCo connections and the userid/pwd given JCo RFc providerin Visual Admin of Java stack are working fine.
    Please refer to the note - Note 888687 - BEx Web Java: Analysis of communication/logon problems for further details

  • BW broadcasting error

    Our BW team has broadcast reports that run every day between 8:00am and 9:00am. Yesterday one of the reports received a termination status . The error is:
    "Java system error:Bean PRTRFC_BASE not found on host wawnsx20, Progld=WAWNSX19C_PORTAL_EPP"
    We usually see failures every day for stores (can range from 1 to 30 per report). The failure error is:
    "Framework class CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_PRECALC type PROD did not deliver a document"
    Our Basis team seems to think they are resource issues causing this to happen but not sure how to go about try to determine if it is truly a resource probelm causing these errors.  Anyone every come across these types of errors when broadcasting???

    Hi,
    Please reproduce the error and prepare the file  "supportdesk.zip" as described in 937697.
    Please have a look into the file systemifo.txt in the zip file.
    At the beginning of that file you can see the status of your system configuration and check if there are many "red lights". To go into further analysis of the broadcasting problem it is necessary to configure the system in a right way. In the description of the "red lights" there are some hint and notes. If the problem still exists after configuring the system in a right way then please create a message to SAP.

  • Error Broadcasting to KM

    We are getting an error when broadcasting and it only happens occasionally.  If I resubmit it works fine.  Can anyone suggest what might be causing it?  Nothing appears in OSS for RSBOLAP014.

  • Identifying Oracle Shutdown or session errors

    Oracle 11.1.7.0:
    We need to make our application be able to accept user requests or submissions on the queue even if Oracle is down or if Oracle is having some problems. For that purpose I need to identify specific Oracle error codes. I looked up online and found Jboss's exception sorter class. It looks something like this:
       public boolean isExceptionFatal(SQLException e)
          String error_text = (e.getMessage()).toUpperCase();
          /* Check oracle specific errors for broadcasting connectionerror
          return (error_text.indexOf("ORA-00600") > -1) //Internal oracle error
             || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-00028") > -1)  //session has been killed
              || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-01012") > -1)  //not logged on

             || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-01033") > -1)  //Oracle initialization or shutdown in progress
             || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-01034") > -1)  //Oracle not available
              || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-02396") > -1)  //exceed ed maximum idle time, please connect again
             || (error_text.indexOf("ORA-03111") > -1)  //break received on communication channel

    1. shutting down the instance.
    2. filling the archive log destination with temporary files (which you need to clean up later).
