Error in commitment check when creating maintenance orders
I'm getting an error " Error in commitment check" when creating the maintenance order for procuring the spare parts which is an non-stock item. I checked the cost for the particular Cost center/GL there is no money in that, so thatu2019s the reason for getting the error, so when we did testing in DEVL and QA, we put money into the cost center/fund/functional area and the issue has been resolved.
Now my client said they donu2019t want that control and they want to remove the commitment check so that you can create maintenance order even though you donu2019t have money on particular cost element.
FICO person told that there is no AVC check in place, also there is no budgeting control implemented, she also told that when they create Purch requisition directly they are not getting the error even though cost is not in that particular cost element but she wonder why it is giving error when we create the purchase requisition thru Maintenance order.
I have referred the experts forum to figure out this issue, but everywhere they mentioned this is due to budgeting or funds management issue and ask me to contact FICO person to remove the control, but there is no such person as current FICO person is an end user trained in SAP.
Your help is appreciated

Error on ATP check when Creating a Sales Order
Hello,
I encounter error on ATP check while creating a Sales Order.
The error is when I create Sales Order using material A, with or with out indicating the Plant and Storage Location, the Purchase Order quantity is returned on ATP check, but when I create an SO with out indicating the Plant and Storage Location, no PO quantity was returned. Note that we applied SAP Note # 387482 to automatically determine the Storage Location. I have also checked material maintenance in MM03 of Materials A and Material B and nothing was different, they have the same Availabity check condition.
Is it possible that the SAP note that I applied causes the error?
By the way I have noticed that when I create Material B and manually populate the Plant and Storage Location there is a pricing error(but it returns the PO during ATP check).
Thanks.

Error in Depot Repair when creating repair order for SR
Hi,
I am getting the following error in Depot repair when creating a repair order for a Service Request :
"The Service Request Customer (GEJ Service Provider) does not own this item instance (&ITEM_INSTANCE). Please choose another instance. (IB_INSTANCE=21777)"
An Item Instance was created for customer A (Owner), then party relationship was created in IB with another customer (GEJ Service Provider).
Now a SR is created with customer as GEJ Service Provider and this item instance is selected.
The error is coming up when trying to create repair order for this SR.
Any idea how to resolve this issue?
Regards,
MohammedMohammed
Please refer to this in Metalink note that says Deport Repair 11.5.10 enhancements and search for this ER number.
ER: 4723163
Service Request and Repair Order blocks of Depot repair do not allow ability to change Installed Base ownership of an item or creation of TCA relationships between existing TCA parties before creating a service request or repair order.
Ability to automatically change ownership for an install base tracked item when returned for repair.
ER 4723163
Patch 4910836
Look like you have applied this patch.
Coming to the issue you cannot achieve what you are trying. The only option is to add this subfunction Depot: Allow Change of IB Ownership to your menu of the resp you are trying to use and the message will be different:
This allows you change the ownership and create a repair order.
Unfortunately customer relationship is not going to help at this time. YOu may want to log an SR and see if that is intended in the future. I checked R12.06 but the same behavior is exhibited there as well.
Good luck!
Thanks

How to check, when the Maintenance Order was deleted
Hello Experts,
Can you please tell me of how to check for the maintenance order that when it was deleted and who has deleted that.
If any T-Code is there or at the Table level also to check the requirement.
Regards,
Yawar KhanIf you want to track when you have put deletion flag, you can track it using above mentioned techniques.
If you archived (deleted) permanently, then using archival history only, you can check I guess.
Check these links. While deleting maintenance order, we can hisorical order with same number. Using that creation date, you can track.

Getting error when creat sales order and Stock Posting
Hi
I have created enterprise structure, xd01, mm01, ovkk but I count't post stock.
When create sales order getting error is that
1.This material is not defined for sales area 1000, 10, 00.
And if i use this T.Code MB1C,
2. Parameters for plant 1000 not maintained in Inventory Mgt.,
*3. Unit *** is not created in language EN.*
Thanks in advanceDear selvi sankaran
1) Compare the sales organization, distribution channel and division of customer and material. In your case, either of that should have been created differently. Maintain the same sales area and retry
2) Go to omi8 and maintain the required parameters to your plant
3) Go to Material Master, select "Additional data" and click on "Descriptions". There maintain "EN" under language.
thanks

Subcontracting Check Box in Maintenance Order
Hello
Help me to know if we are able to create the PR via control keys PM02 & PM03 then what the use or funcationality of subcontracting check box in maintenance order.
Regards
KapilDear Abhishek,
The same error message refers to one of the following material provision indicators getting to me also:
"S" - an entry within table T417 is missing where KZBRS (A&D-Specific Material Provision) is not set
"X" - an entry within table T417 is missing where KZBLF (Rework Material from Subcontractor) is not set
"F" - an entry within table T417 is missing where field ADSUB_DEFDLV (Deferred Delivery) is not set
also, i Insert a row with S and keep MPCust and MPVend blank and Check the A&D MP box
getting following error "
Op. 0010 must have exactly one component as 'Rework Material to Subcontr.'"
Can u tell me the config for MPI?? -
Object RESB within Critical Area - creating Maintenance Order
Hi All,
We are getting warning message while creating Maintenance Order. It says " Object RESB within Critical Area". After checking we found that 90% of the number range for reservation documents have been consumed and it is maintained in settings that the warning will come up when number range enters last 10%.
we have changed this setting to 5% but still the issue is not resolved. We are still facing the same warning message.
Kindly guide.
Regards
DMDM,
This maybe due to the buffering of the number range numbers on the application servers.once these numbers are exhausted and new block of numbers are picked up from the database server this should go off. Ideally you may want to adjust to a new number range so that this warning message doesn't irritate the end users.

Error in Commitment Check - see costing log
I've encountered error when saving after release of wbs. "Error in commitment check (see costing log)", this error hinders me to create PR for several wbs. please advise how to resolve this issue.
I looked everywhere in CJ20N to find this Costing Log and I can't find it or figure out how to open it!!
in my case here I deliberately caused the error by assigning a budget of 95% of the plan --> the plan is all commitment items (material components)
but I want to check that so called costing log and see the errors in it.
Your help is highly appreciated -
Error in Commitment Check message
We are on SRM 4.0 and have funds availability turned on in the backend system (ECC 5.0). A user created a shopping cart using multiple sources. However, after the cart was approved, it would not transfer to the backend. We are getting the error message "error in commitment check". I looked everywhere I can possibly look and have not found anything wrong with the accounts. I even tried to create the requisition on the backend using the same sources and did not encounter any problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this problem and how to resolve it?
Monique StephensWe were able to correct the problem (sort of). The user had created the shopping cart using multiple accounts and split them by percentage. The percentages were two decimal places (for example, one account was getting charged 16.66). But, if we changed the percentage to a whole number (ie 17), the cart went through successfully.
That brings me to another question...is there a limit on the number of decimal places in SRM. I know in SAP, we can only go one decimal place. But, I don't know if that is in config or not. If there is a limit, is there a way to prevent users from going beyond the limit while creating the cart so that we don't encounter this problem in the future?
