Error on PortalComponentContext init

Hello. I am new to Portal Development using SAP NetWeaver.
I am currently using 2004s version of the developer environment. I followed the tutorial on Go and Create of the SAP documentation. I create a simple JSPDynPage using the wizard.
On my jsp dyne page, I just placed a textView:
<hbj:textView id="welcome_message" design="HEADER1">
      <%
            welcome_message.setText("HELLO THERE");
      %>
</hbj:textView>
When I deployed this to my web as, and tried to view this under the PDK Component Starter & Viewer of the Java Developer tab, I encounter this error everytime.
com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentException: Error in init method
Component : MyPortal.JSPDynOne
at com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentContext.init(PortalComponentContext.java:251)
I can't seem to identify why this error is occurs. Can anyone help? thanks.

Check if you have the following in your portalapp.xml and JSP file
In portalapp.xml
<application-config>
    <property name="PrivateSharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.htmlb"/>
  </application-config>
AND
<component-profile>
        <property name="tagLib" value="/SERVICE/htmlb/taglib/htmlb.tld"/>
      </component-profile>
In JSP put this line on top of the page
<%@ taglib uri="tagLib" prefix="hbj" %>
You can also try something simpler like
<hbj:textView text="Hello There" design="label"/>

Shubhadip

  • [Solved] 'New' error messages during init after updating initscripts

    After updating to the latest initscripts, I got some error messages during init that I hadn't seen before.  They occurred during one of the UDev steps, and were caused by an attempt to load an IDE module despite the controller being disabled.  The controller shows up in Windows devmgr too, so I guess it's a failing of the mobo or BIOS.
    In any case, I downgraded and found that the errors were nothing new.  I'm just curious if the appearance of the errors during init was by design or a happy accident.

  • W500 not starting - HELP - unable to locate BIOS ROM; Fatal error during GPU init

    hi gurus,
    Following problem:
    when i start W500 (ubuntu) it stays with the black screen, not even displaying initial ThinkPad message, where you might press the ThinkVantage blue button, to go to BIOS. It just stays black and does nothing.
    Than I press Power button for a few seconds to shut it down and try again. Still black screen.
    The same procedure again and again and sometimes  W500 boots up, sometimes wants to go to recovery mode, sometimes not.
    Sometimes, after the black screen it displays the message:
    Invalid ROM contents
    ERROR Unable to locate BIOS ROM
    Fatal error during GPU init
    Anyone had the same problems?
    What are the possible checks i might execute, to check up W500?
    cheers
    lenowiow

    Update: I have now tried compiling vbios.bin and int10.bin directly into the kernel. No success.

  • Suddenly "Fatal error during GPU init" during boot - radeon

    Hi,
    after a rather abrupt shutdown my system doesn't boot correctly anymore.
    I have an Asus laptop with an ATI radeon HD 2400 (so the sticker on the laptop says - I'm not really a hardware guy)
    Before:
    While booting, the kernel/console output had bigger, somewhat non-high-resolution letters. Halfway in, the letters changed into a smaller, higher-defined font which was more "beautiful".
    Sorry, I don't know what mechanism that is, so I had to describe it that way.
    After:
    This doesn't happen anymore. Rather, I get this message during boot (this is a copy out of /var/log/errors.log):
    Jun 21 17:59:55 localhost kernel: [    4.081919] radeon 0000:01:00.0: Fatal error during GPU init
    Jun 21 17:59:55 localhost kernel: [    4.082998] radeon 0000:01:00.0: no bo for sa manager
    Jun 21 17:59:55 localhost kernel: [    4.083059] [TTM] Trying to take down uninitialized memory manager type 1
    I already tried the following:
    - reinstall xorg and xf86-video-ati
    - sections "Enable KMS" and "Troubleshoot KMS" from that wiki entry:
      https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI
    - scream and slightly hit the side of the laptop
    Nothing worked. Could anyone tell me where to continue searching? I'd hate to reinstall a 1-week old system.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

    If you remove the ati drivers, the mesa-drivers are used I think.
    Since the open source drivers don't work, you should try the closed source drivers (ATI Catalyst) from the AUR. Installing this is a bit of a hassle. The catalyst driver does not support Xorg 1.12, so you have to add a repository for Xorg1.11 and downgrade (see the wiki page). Then, you should install either catalyst-utils and catalyst-hook from AUR (as described in the wiki) or catalyst-total (which combines both and is also mentioned in the wiki).
    See the Catalyst Wiki for all information.
    Catalyst Utils in AUR
    Catalyst Hook
    Catalyst Total
    edit: I just read the wiki. It seems like there is an easier way to install things now: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AT … repository

    I'd assume it's hardware failure, if the motor doesn't respond, not sure what you could do yourself to check.  If you have an active support contract for the codec that camera came with, I'd open a TAC case, most likely will have to RMA the camera.

  • *ERROR* Failed m_WaveList- Init(). hr=0x80040154 with Cisco TSP

    Cisco TSP 8.6(2.2).
    I am trying to install Cisco TSP on a Windows 7 32bit workstation, but I am having issues.  We are using a management program called "Connectwise".  My boss wants to be able to dial a customer within the "Connectwise" program to log calls.  Our other office has a Shortel phone system and Shortel's TSP program works fine.  I've installed Cisco TSP, configured CTI ports, configured a CTI routepoint, enabled the user for CTI, and associated the user with the CTI ports/route point.  When I try to dial a number within Connectwise, nothing happens.  Within the Cisco TSP logs these errors are logged:
    16:23:36.418 HDR|05/07/2012 CiscoTSP001.tsp,Error
    16:23:36.418 |   CSelsiusTSPWaveList::Init() *ERROR* Failed to get ISelsiusNTWaveCtl interface.

    17:02:12.513 |   CSelsiusTSPLink::getMessage() *ERROR* Receive() failed with error 0.
    I have tried to use the Windows "Dialer" program to test as well, but receive this error:
    One or more telephone device drivers are incompatible with TAPI.DLL.  Install an updated version.
    I have installed Cisco TSP with both the WAVE driver and the new MEDIA driver.  I receive the same error with either driver.  I've also tried this on multiple workstations, but get the same error.
    Help

    I engaged TAC and the engineer pinpointed following error from the CTI Logs:
    Login User Id:platju Reason code.:-1932787595
    This is the Cisco documentation on this error code:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/jtapi_dev/8_6_1/constantfieldvalues.html
    The engineer suspected LDAP server is not able to authenticate CTI based connections correctly although HTTP based connections (CCMUSER Web Page access) or JTAPI based connections (UCCX) are working fine.
    We created an application user in CUCM and the Dialer.exe showed Cisco Line as expected. The engineer did assign all CTI roles (Not only Standard CTI Enabled) except Secure CTI ones. The End User didn't work no matter what we try.
    As of now, I've asked the AD team to look at their side or engage Microsoft to debug it at their end. Hopefull that'll resolve the issue.

  • Firefox pops up an error message on certain pages, all other browsers work fine, how can I make firefox ignore the "error" [e2219] css init error: ReferenceError: g is not defined

    Basically I want to replace the Ajax Control Toolkit Slider in favor of the Component One Studio for iPhone Slider for better mobile/desktop consistency (the ajax slider doesn't work well with iPhone). I created a simple page that works on every browser and platform (iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows) except Firefox, which fails on every platform. I have already tried disabling all plugins (safe mode) and clearing cache, I have also tried this with different versions of Firefox on different platforms. I posted this error on the Component One forum but since this only occurs with Firefox I believe this is a Firefox issue.
    I searched for this error on the forums and Google but didn’t get any results:
    ''[e2219] css init error: ReferenceError: g is not defined''
    The console has this message:
    ''[12:05:26.954] uncaught exception: [Exception... "prompt aborted by user" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: resource:///components/nsPrompter.js :: openTabPrompt :: line 462" data: no]''
    You can see the error by visiting http://www.componentone.com/i/
    Visit the same URL with IE, Chrome or Safari and there is no error. If I click [OK] the page loads normally enough for me. Is there some JavaScript or CSS line I can put in the page to make Firefox ignore the error? If so that would be great because even if there is a fix put into Firefox itself there will be those millions of users out there that will not upgrade.

  • Error in Scheduling INIT Info package

    Hi All,
    We have a standard extractor in CRM which we have replicated to our BW system. We also had transfer rules ready as a part of the BI content, but were present as 3.x data flows. So, we migrated the 3.x data flow to 7 successfully and finally created an INIT info package since the data source was meant for delta extraction. Now, when i schedule my INIT info package, i get an error saying that "Job was terminated in the source system". I also traced this issue in the source system and i found that there was a run time error which says
    Runtime error - OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
    "An exception occurred that is explained in detail below. The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not  caught in procedure "CRM_BW_CMG_LINKS_INIT" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a  RAISING clause.
    Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the CLEAR statement."
    Can anybody help me out with this? What shud i do now?

    Hi Sandeep,
    Thanks for the useful pointer. Can u throw some more light on this? What exactly does it mean when you say, "Replication of the connection object"? Does it refer to the replication of the Data source or is it something else?

  • SIGSEGV error occurred during init a JDOM element

    HI!

    J org.jdom.Element.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;)V

    It is also shows in the log that 100% use of PermGen space. Why this segmentation fault occurred? Is it related to JDK or JDOM?
    In my understanding, problem is related to JDK and occurred due to 100% use of PermGen space. But I am not sure as Problematic frame is J.
    Another interesting point is "error occurred during error reporting (printing native stack), id 0xb".

    +> I am little bit curious about- how memory allocated in PermGen space? Is this a same way as heap (grows incrementally upto certain limit)?+
    PermGen space stores class structures and class metadata, it doesn't grow much while the program is running, it allocated memory when classes are loaded by classloaders. Also, programs that performs bytecode instrumentation (hibernate, spring, jboss seam, etc.) requires more permgen space than other programs as it modifies class structures.

  • Handling errors in OBIEE init block

    Hi,
    Is there a way to catch an error in the execution of an init block? Looks like the only way to figure out that the query for the initialization block has failed is by looking at NQServer.log and there is otherwise no alert or indication that some failure has occurred at all.
    I would like to be able to alert an administrator as soon as an init block query fails.
    thanks.
    Edited by: srrao on Nov 24, 2010 2:19 PM

    You can do some "insert or update" in the init block or use DB triggers to catch fails. select user_name from table(orabi_auth(:USER)) Orabi_auth inserts information about logged user in DB and returns logged user name, so I can analyse it later.
