Error when downloading adobe reader

hello,
I am trying to download Adobe reader; however, i recieve this error message ERROR 1935. I have tried to change the server and i tried several links but i was not successful. I have windows 8 and I am using google chrome and internet explorer.
Thank you,

That happens during the download, or during the install?  Is there anything else beside the number 1935?

  • How do you fix Error 1324 when downloading Adobe Reader?

"Error 1324. The path My Pictures or the volume is invalid. Please enter it again." appears after 96% of download occurs when downloading Adobe Reader onto my home computer Windows XP Home Ed. v2 sp3 64 processor. Tried downloading again and same thing happens - used Windows Internet Explorer as browser. Any ideas on what to do next?  Will try downloading using Google Chrome to see if that works. First time using the forums - think  I need to move it to Adobe Reader Forum

Thanks Pat W. I stand corrected. The error report occured during installation. My Pictures and the Adobe folders reside in My Documents - the path(?) C:Documents and Settings/Denise/My Documents/My Pictures. The Adobe folder also resides in the My Documents folder but not within the My Pictures folder. Just wondering where the Adobe folder should be.   If I have an external drive on and a backup copy of Adobe is in it, would that be what you mean by a folder in "My Documents" is pointing to somewhere other than the C: drive? I have turned off my external drive and retried the download. Not successful. Will try your last tip re: the support site from microsoft. Thanks for any other clarification you can provide.

The instructions on the Adobe site for Firefox are out-of-date and only apply to older versions of Firefox. You have the most current version of Adobe Reader (ver. 9.3.2) shown in your plug-ins. For future reference, use the instructions below for updating or installing Adobe Reader. You can see your version in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins, look for "Adobe PDF Plug-In".
<u>'''Install/Update Adobe Reader for Firefox'''</u>: your ver. 9.3.2; current ver. 9.3.2

  • Getting Error When downloading Adobe PDF Reader

Screenshot of the error is below. I've tried every fix in the book and have had this error for months. Most frustrating part is that It's cutting into my work and Adobe has no customer service, so no direct help on that end.
I am looking to see if anyone had a proven solution to this. Thank you.

This is one of the install problems I have never seen a real solution.  It somehow has to do with the Microsoft .NET Framework.
What is your Windows version?  What are your installed .NET Framework versions?
What I would try if I encountered that problem is to run the MSI installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi (English version 11.0.0), then update to
    11.0.10 (Windows 7, Vista)
    11.0.08 (Windows XP)

  • "No screen reader support" error when launching Adobe Reader 9.1

One of my users has to use the default magnifier on his Windows sessions (we run Server 2003 Citrix desktops on thin clients) due to his having limited eye sight. However, whenever he opens a pdf Adobe Reader pops up with this message "No Screen Reader Support: This version of the Adobe Reader does not support screen readers. Information about downloading a version with screen reader support is availalbe at http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download
After this error, Adobe Reader shuts down.
If you go to that link, it just directs you to latest download for Adobe Reader which is currently 9.1. I installed this version, but it made no difference, despite it being the very latest. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? Thanks.

I've come across a similar thing
I traced it to the Local Text Echo (Speed Screen Latency Reduction) component.
I use the java client - when this component is enabled - you get the message. When its disabled you don't
The local text echo component must be being interpretted as a being a screen reader.
Did you manage to work round the message?
