What are Apple's exchange or return policies? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the support pages.

    sorry to say - you can not exchange or return it if there are any visible damages.  and because of the macbook being dropped, if there are any visible sign of being dropped, your warranty might be considered void by apple.
    as steve359 has mentioned - it is not covered under warranty.
    i hope your macbook is still runnng fine with no issues - i hate to see a good macbook go to waste.

    I bought a lenovo y50 (8gb ram l, i7 4710, 4Gb nvdia gtx860m)
    18 days ago (15 april,2015) and now i got to know that a new version of y50 is soon releasing with a better graphics card that is nvdia gtx 970m frm the older one which is 860m.
    what i want to know is that can i return my laptop so that i can buy the new one or can i get an exchange offer for that new upcoming laptop ? please help me . its only 18days

    Best way to get some information about this is to call Lenovo Post sales team.
    Try calling Lenovo Sales team and ask for options.

  • Horrible experience trying to exchange/return Samsung S5 at store #457

    So I have had a family plan with sprint for over 10 years now, have 5 lines and alway ls do an upgrade when it's up.
    This time one of my line is up for an upgrade so went from my iPhone 5 to the Samsung S5. Great phone lots of features to get used to but phone i originally purchase at location 472 in Union nj, was faulty as I seem to not be able to hear people on the other side of the phone. 
    Bought the phone on July 6th, did the software updates needed one I got home and went to work like normal,  threw out the day got onto using my phone which seem of cause I could barely hear them and they could barely hear me, so went to the store in Rockaway nj to exchange it or return it if need be on July 12th.
    Only to find out that best buy doesn't honor their written return policy.
    Was turned away dismiss that the phone had any issues,  the call volume was fine and issue was the life proof case I bought with it, even after we tested without the case still they found the phone to be working fine volume call level. They would do a swap fora new unit but if I still had the same issue with the new one they wouldn't refund the phone, even thoughi was with in the 14 day return period.
    Have bought stuff from best buy for years now, but no more. 
    Not looking to buy into headaches,  I want to spend my money on stuff where there is peace of mind, knowing if something is wrong and with in return or warranty guidelines I will be taken care off. 
    Manager on duty have me a online support number that dreams with online order as to deal with customer issues.
    This place is a joke,  they mistreat clients as they know nothing Will happen and they are giving out wrong information,  called that number and they claim they don't have a corporate office or customer relation number, or a regional office number.  
    Last time I ever set foot in one your stores or buy stuff from your company at all,  wasted an hour explaining the issue at store level with no results turning me away toa different store cause I didn't buy the phone there,  wonder is I was to buy something there would they also tell me to go buy it at another site. 
    Wasted another hour on phone that was given by employee at the store to find out they couldn't do anything cause they deal with online orders only, answer I got was go to place where you bought it from, I bought it at best buy, should be able to return it at any best buy, even the moon if they had one there and that wad the closest to me.

    Cell phones can definitely be a blessing or a curse at times. I speak from experience. From what I hear, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a great phone! I’m sorry if you have been inconvenienced by the issue you are having with the phone and its case. Considering the time you have invested into this, I would be equally as upset.     The store may have been trying to inform you they would not swap another phone for this same issue, because it is likely you will receive the same result in lessened volume levels as long as you are using that case with for that model phone. I recommend looking into other cases if you are unhappy with the effect it has on your phone’s speaker, rather than looking to perform an exchange on the hardware itself.

  • IPhone 4 exchange /return for iphone 4s

    can I return or exchange iphone 4 8 gb  bought at verizon store for iphone 4s 16 gb at the apple store and pay the diference the phone is only 1 day old. verizon has a 35.00 restock fee does anyone know if this can be done?

    Yes, within 14 days (or 30 in ca) any fee would be via Verizon.

    So, I went out and bought a Zen vision:m. Drove home, put some songs on it, tested it. Well. Not that easy, but you get the idea...
    Wasn't too impressed. Nice device, but some things I didn't like. The fact that playcount is increase when you START playing the song as opposed when you FINISH the song. The fact that album art does not seem to transfer to the device (or at least not display). The fact that I need this strange adapter to plug it into the computer. So I decide I am not satisfied with this product, and go back to the store to return it.
    Here is where it gets interesting. I bought at Cambridge Soundworks, which I value for their generous 45-day return policy. Unfortunately, this policy does not apply to MP3 players. Which they "forgot" to mention when I bought it, but it's in the fine print somewhere on the bill. So I am stuck with a product I don't want.
    It gets better. Had I bought this device at Circuit City, I could return it withint 30 days. Had I bought this device at Best Buy, I could return it within 30 days. Had I bought it directly at Creative, I could return it within 30 days. Sure, some of these shops might have had a restock fee. But all those shops carry the vision:m for the same price. But because I bought at Cambridge Soundworks (which is a Creative company) I can NOT return it. Not even for a restock fee. Even after exchanging my model which then stopped working altogether for a sealed new box...
    So. First a warning to all potential buyers of Creative MP3 players: Double-check the return policy. To be on the safe side, don't buy at Cambridge Soundworks. You can't get a worse deal on customer service.
    And then, a question to Creative: How can you justify that your product is sold for such vastly differnt terms? I went to the Creative.com website, and you sent me to Cambridge Soundworks. You sent me to a dealer that has a worse return policy than you have. And they claim they "have to do it because you dictate those terms to them". Can someone please explain this to me?

    Is their a reason why the warranty is insufficient to meet your needs?
    It would seem a more logical course of action is to submit the problem to Apple for resolution. If they can't reasonably repair the unit, they will replace it.
    But to answer your exact question,... The return policy of Apple permits 14 days to return a computer without a restocking fee. If the circumstances are extraordinary, I'm sure there is some consideration given. However, you have not indicated that such exists. Nor did you indicate whether you bought the computer direct from Apple, or a reseller, which may have a different return policy.

  • Exchange Address Policies

    Can you show me your Address Book Policies?
    We have custome one with priority 1, that applies all the appropriate email domains to a user.
    However there is also a Default policy (priority Lowest) that adds @internaldomain.local and  X400 c=US;a= ;p=internaldomain;o=Exchange;
    Do I need both of those? I haven't seen them listed in tutorials on Address Book Policies, most just have the external mail domain

    The answer is yes.
    We can change the priority of an e-mail address policy, however we can't change the priority of the Default Policy. The Default Policy's priority will always be "Lowest". If we want to move a particular policy up the list, highlight the policy and click
    Change Priority in the Action pane. We must have at least two EAPs aside from the default in order to see the Change Priority Action pane option.

  • Please someone help asap with exchange/return question thank you

    purchased a tv last night friday april 30th,2010. I opened it and put where i needed to, it is too small. Do I have to pay the restocking fee if I take back today and get another Tv thats larger? Essentially I am gonna get a comparable tv thats larger, around same price if not more. Very confused dont wanna pay $300 for 15%, not sure if it applies here, thank you. Box is perfect condition all things put back nicely.

    Relax. Assuming all parts are accounted for, and the TV is in new condition(and you have the receipt), there will be no problem exchanging it.

  • Is there a way to exchange/return a SA 540?

    My vendor says that the SA 540 is used so they won't take it back and Cisco tech support is saying it isn't broke.  Any suggestions on what to do with it besides using it as a paper weight? Here are the problems I'm having with it:
         - The WAN connection doesn't support 10MB, we upgraded our line to 100MB at our cost but still would prefer to using the 10MB line. Tech support is saying to put a switch or a hub between the line and the SA, that is poor solution long term.
         - The SSL clientless option doesn't forward DNS requests properly on Windows XP or Vista
         - There is no Cisco client that works with Windows 7.  The new release of QuickVPN does not connect no matter what I do and no SSL client
         - The speed of the unit is slow.  With a full duplex 100MB line there should be no latency with our VOIP system and there isn't on our old router which is odd because it is 6 years old.  The only reason we wanted to upgrade was for the VPN connections which aren't working.
         - The duplicate username/password for IPSec and SSL users.  Why can't they just be one account and allow access to the appropriate connection.
         - Lack of documentation for client configuration and VPN setups.  I've followed the example in the manual and I just can't get clients to connect that quickly.
         - We are running firmware 1.21.1 and have troubleshooted with Cisco on a number of these problems but no real answers. For small businesses that can't afford to have this just sit on the shelf and wait for the next firmware there doesn't seem to be any answers.
    Any helpful suggestion would be appreciated.

    Most of the issues you reference here are fixed in a firmware release will be available in the very short near term.  I can't give exact dates, but we are talking about the very near future.

    I have had a IMac 27 inch since march and it is the newest one. I dont like it, so can i return it for a macbook pro? I have the receipt and everything that it was bought with.

    If it is past 30 days then no you cant, which by what you said in your post; you purchased in march. If it is in the past 30 days then you will most likely only be able to do it through corporate apple. To the best of my knowledge the Apple retail stores aren't fit to handle returns and exchanges all that well. So call 1-800-my-apple or chat with an apple store rep to ask about exchanges. If you want directions for how to chat then just ask, they are lengthy so I don't want to type them if you aren't going to use them.

  • Exchange 2013 - The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is rejecting message submissions because the service continues to consume more memory than the configured threshold

    Noticed at about noon that no emails had been received all day. Began to investigate and found that the MS Exchange Transport service had been set to deny email submission because it was using too much memory on the server (91%). 
    The error message makes me think that we may have been getting used by malware or something similar.“The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is rejecting message submissions because the service continues to consume more memory than the
    configured threshold.” 
    There are also several warning messages that list particular IP addresses and say that a connection from that IP was denied because there were already the maximum number of connections (20). 
    From what I can tell, all of the IP addresses are from Taiwan. 
    The time period for which some emails may be missing is from close of business yesterday ( 4/3/2014) through about 12:45 today (4/4/2014). 
    From the time I spent reading and trying to figure out the error, I think we may need to readjust our throttling policies to prevent this from happening. 
    The exchange server is currently running at 90%+ CPU and 50%+ memory usage the majority of the time, and I’m not sure how to fix it.
    Also, I cannot get into EMS I get a access denied message from the destination computer. (Exchange server) I want to get into there to change the throttling policy back to default, since we disabled it.
    The Error reads:
    The WinRM client cannot process the request. The WinRM client tried to use Kerberos authentication mechanism, but the destination computer <Exchange> returned an 'access denied' error. Change the configuration to allow Kerberos authentication
    mechanism to be used or specify one of the authentication mechanism supported by the server. (How do I do this?) To use Kerberos, specify the local computer name as the remote destination. (I'm trying to use EMS while logged into the local Exchange server)
    Also verify that the client computer and the destination computer are joined to a domain. (Exchange is on our domain, and the computer trying to connect is the same computer) To use basic, specify the local computer name as the remote destination, specify
    Basic authentication and provide user mane and password. Possible authentication mechanisms reported by server.

    I assumed control of this exchange system already in place and I do not have much experience with exchange 2013 or server 2012. I do know 2008, but that doesn't help very much in this situation.
    Recent changes to the system:
    About three days ago we switch our sessions policy to allow many more connections, and I believe this caused the issue. This is what I changed it to:
    Made the registry DWORD (32-bit) "Maximum Allowed Sessions Per User" and modified the value to 1000. Location of registry change @ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
    I just changed it to 10 from the 1000. I'm hoping this solves this. So far no.
    Also, I am not the best in the shell or command line interfaces. Any help would be wonderful!

    Apple will exchange your defective iPhone for one of the same model for their standard out-of-warranty exchange price. They will not upgrade you to an iPhone 5S as part of that program. Apple does accept trade-ins toward purchase of a new iPhone through retail Apple Stores in the US. I've not seen the amount they will allow, so you'll need to talk to your local Apple Store. In a few other countries Apple also works with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; select your country as appropriate on this page:

    Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs.
    None, however, will give you much for a phone that has hardware issues, if they'll give you anything at all.

    That would depend on who you bought the case from and their return policies. If you bought it from Apple, then you have fourteen days from date of purchase to return it. If you purchased from a dealer, you'll have to ask the dealer about a return.

    Where did you buy it?
    If you bought it an Apple store less than 14 days ago in the U.S. (I believe its 28 for the U.K) you can return the phone for a full refund, and use the money towards the purchase of an iPhone 6, but you will have to pay the difference.
    If you did not buy it an Apple store, you would need to contact the store you bought it at to inquire about its return policies.
    Apple does not do exchanges though.  If you are past the return period you will have to sell the iPhone 5s and use the money to buy an iPhone 6.

    Just got my finance's birthday present of an iPad3 delivered today (oh the timing - thanks Apple!). Ordered from an Apple reseller, but reseller not willing to refund or swap for the iPad4. Spoke to Apple support who didn't seem to care and kept pointing me to the reseller; is there anything I can do?

    Thank you for contacting ****** regarding the release of the new iPad, announced by Apple.
    There have been a number of reports in the news, that Apple are allowing their customers to return recently purchased iPad’s in exchange for the new iPad, within their own stores. However, Apple have not released any formal communication to ****** to confirm this is the case and therefore any such offer made by Apple is not supported directly by ****** at this time.
    Any request to return goods to ****** will be subject to our standard trading terms and returns policies which can be found here.
    Really I think it is up to Apple to make an official announcement; I'm still only hearing rumours about this one store in San Francisco that has offered this deal and not whether it is official policy yet.

    If you purchased from an Apple Store, you had fourteen calendar days to return the product, so at this point you're beyond the official return period. You can contact the Apple Store from which you purchased the Mac and ask if they could make an exception for you. If you purchased from an independent dealer, than as woodmeister said, you'll have to ask the dealer about their return policies if any.
