Excise default for Import GR

Dear Sirs,
Import PO Prepared.  MIRO for customs done in INR.
When GR is done, the excise values are defaulted automatically, however the values are not defaulted in INR.  The values are in the currency which are mentioned in the PO.
Any suggestions
Viral Bhinde

Hello,
At the time og import migo, you will be refeing the MIRO number done for the customs .
So in the pop up message asking for commercial invoice number (customs miro), we should enter the miro number and the year.
If we missed out to enter the customs miro document year, system will pick the currency from PO as default.
Hope this is what you were looking ofr.

  • Maintain Excise defaults for pricing condition in TAXINN procedure

    Hi all,
I post this message as I'm customizing CIN part for creation and calculation of excise invoice. I have read lot of post but i'm a bit confused about right procedure to adopt. I try to explain:
I'm doing a stardard sales flow (sales order -> delivery -> commercial invoice -> excise invoice) and the only method I have found to flow excise values in excise invoice is to insert pricing conditions in India -> Basic settings -> Determination of excise duty -> Maintain excise defaults for TAXINN procedure.
In this table I have insert pricing conditions I use in my SD pricing schemas (in this case I use a copy of JINFAC). I have insert pricing conditions corresponding to BED % and BED total, and also CESS % and total and S&HCESS % and total.
If I remove pricing condition from this table, corresponing value in excise invoice, when I create it, become 0.
My dubt is if is correct to populate with table to flow excise values in excise invoice. I ask it as I have read differents approach and differents customizing settings applied in similar situations. In particular, I have found documentation in which, for TAXINN procedure, is recommended to leave blank "excise defaults" (with exception of CVD condition). What is the right method to use?
There is one right procedure or, as it seems reading posts, someone have to do his "proper CIN customizing" based on results that have to obtain?
Thanks in advance for any contribute that can help to clarify this situation.
    Regards
    Gianpaolo

    Hi all,
I think to have found solution to my dubt.
If I use "condition based Excise determination" I have to insert records with pricing schema (if is a copy of standard J* schema, like ZINFAC that is a copy of JINFAC) and excise pricing conditions in the transaction below:
India -> Basic settings -> Determination of excise duty -> Condition-based Excise determination -> Classify condition type
To determine value in excise invoice seems that program check before table in transaction described before. If in this table don't find records for pricing schema-excise pricing condition the program check also table in transaction below:
India -> Basic settings -> Determination of excise duty -> Maintain excise defaults
If during this second check find excise pricing conditions insert, can determine equally the values of excise in excise invoice.
This is the result of my checks. I hope this could be useful for other people with similar problem.

  • Customising the RAW fine tuning as default for importing. In Aperture 3

    RAW Fine Tuning.
    I use a Canon G11 PowerShot camera.
I’m being unsuccessful customising the RAW fine tuning as default for importing new files, so each new RAW file imported come into Aperture 3 with the changes from the Apple default.
All I want to do is: reduct the boost from 1.0 to 0.5 and Hue Boost from 1.0 to 0.5.
I made the said changes by moving the sliders.
Then from the cog wheel (in RAW fine tuning) click on save as preset ( give it a name )
I now see it in the list , I click on it - click save as camera default - it now say camera default next to my custom settings.
However when I import new RAW files into Aperture 3, it imports the file with the Apple settings not my custom settings that are marked with camera default.
NB, I had not problem changing the above in Aperture 2 - I have done it before and I believe I have gone through the procedure correctly
    Can anyone please help
    Thanks Martin

    Hi Matthew
What I'm doing is: setting the RAW fine tuning camera default ( to my custom settings) , so all new files being imported into Aperture 3 will take my custom settings as they are imported into Aperture 3.
I did this will Aperture 2 without any trouble . now I have upgraded to Aperture 3 the RAW fine tuning camera default is Apples and I have to change it from Apples to my custom preset.
It shows I have changed the RAW camera default to my custom settings in the drop down list but when I import files - they take the Apple preset not my custom settings ? ?

  • Excise base value is not changing in MIGO excise tab for Import  PO scenari

    Dear Gururs,
We are using MIGO to capture & Post Excise Invoice for our Import PO (PO type ZIMP). the problem is, when we change the qty in MIGO Qty tab, corresponding base value is not getting update in Excise tab. we are not creating the planned cost mIRO directly we do the GRN.
    Please suggest a solution.
    Thanks
    Shital

    Hello Shital  ,
You are using the India Scenario right?
The issue can be because you have not assigned a zero tax code to the line item. For India please make the tax code field in PO as mandatory so that the user does not save the PO without atleast a zero tax code.
Maintain the tax code & proceed. You will see the tab in MIGO.

I have another question Regarding Subcontracting
When we send the material to supplier it is done thr' 4(5) (a) excise challan whose limit is 180 days (material should come back to parent company within 180 days)
But now Excise has issued new amendment / form ie 4(5)(b) for sending the CAPITAL GOODS ie dies/ moulds etc for the production purpose at supplier's end against form 4(5)(b)  instead of  4(5) (a) whose validity is @ 2 years or more
Is there any standard format in SAP for that? OR

  • How to make iMovie the default for importing from video camera?

I successfully imported 5 or 6 mini discs from the video camera, then on the next download attempt I saw a pop-up box. The box said something like "what program do you want as the default for downloading?" I was thinking iMovie, but apparently clicked iTunes (too many iTerms), and now when I put the camera into PC CONNECT mode, iMovie won't start up as it had before. How do iReverse my mistake and make iMovie the default again.
P.S. - I already tried Preferences in iMovie and in Finder.

If you are talking about having the default be Hebrew-Qwerty, then just make sure that in system preferences/language & text/input sources you have only one box checked, the one for Hebrew-Qwerty.
There is also an opportunity to choose this during initial setup, you have to click on a button to have it show you all the keyboard options, I can't remember.

  • Base value in excise tab for import PO

    Dear all,
We have a import purchase scenario where in the base value while capturing the excise invoice in MIGO is incorrect.
The PO value is 5000 EUR (400000 INR) with PO ex.rate as 80. The CVD caluated in PO is 540 EUR (43200 INR) which 10% of (PO value + Basic customs duty). While posting invoice in MIRO the CVD value posted was 41040 INR.
While posting GR for that particular PO the CVD value appearing is correct as per invoice which is 41040 INR but the base value is 427,938.46 INR.
And if we check the CVD value with refernce to GR base value it is 9.5% instead of 10%.
Request to kindly to let us know is where exactly the system picks the value or how does the system calculates the base value.
Secondly if we change the base value the taxes also change since the % does not match.
Would be grateful if we get some suggestion on this.
    thanks and regards,

    Thank AP for the reply,
But incase of import purchase we maintain it in pricing procedure.
    thanks and regards,

  • Locking the default options for IMPORT

Could we have a more definitive way to establish personal defaults for IMPORT.
When I import from my camera card, I normally start in the Folder sub-panel of Library and do a right-click "Create a new folder inside ..." and then after that is completed I select the folder just created and right click again and "Import to this folder ..."
This brings up IMPORT with my destination already visually established AND the folder already created within my folder structure and then all I need to do is quickly verify my options and click IMPORT in the lower right corner.
But for the life of me, I couldn't get my options to be sticky ... e.g. preview resolution, destination, etc.  I'd set them, do the IMPORT as above, finish it and when I'd go back in they wouldn't have been left the way I set them.  But I knew that sometimes this DID happen.
Turns out that if you invoke IMPORT via the button in the lower left corner of Library and complete the sequence (rather than import to this folder via a right-click) ... then options set from that initiation point are sticky and are rembered the next time you go in.
My question is: could we not have a more specific way of saving the defaults on the screen so no matter how you entered IMPORT, you can establish your default and 'lock' it.
    jc

The best you can do until Adobe sees fit to make properly sticky is to use import presets. Please forgive if you already knew that...

  • Goods receipt for import material

    Dear all,
The excise tab does not appear during goods receipt of imported material. But when are doing the goods receipt for domestic material the tab does appear.
Even after posting goods receipt and while trying to capture excise details in J1IEX i.e. incase of imports CVD, CVD-Ecess, CVD-HEcess and additional duty, the system asks for the invoice number and then throws a message that PO does not contain any selectable items. We have defined as separate pricing procedure for imports.Have maintained the material and vendor details in J1ID.
Request to kindly suggest any settings that we need to check so that the excise tab appears for imported material also.
    regards,
    mahesh.

    Hi,
    Import Process: -
    1. ME21N - Create Import PO
    2. MIRO - Customs Invoice
    3. J1IEX - Capture Bill of Entry
    4. MIGO - Goods Receipt
    5. J1IEX - Post Bill of Entry
    6. MIRO - LIV for Vendor Invoice
    7. MIRO - LIV for Clearing Agent
Following condition types to be used in MM Pricing.
    JCDB     IN:Basic Custom Duty
    JCV1     IN : CVD
JECV     IN : Ed Cess on CVD
    J1CV     IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB     IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB     IN : H&SECess on BCD
    JADC     Addnl Duty of Custom
Mandatorily, use a Zero % Tax Code in Import PO.
Import Duties will not come from J1ID, in J1ID only you have to mainatin material and Vendor (Customs Office and Import both) excise details.
Above all, check the Excise Defaults for CVD conditions in SPRO > LO > Tax on Goods Movement > India > Basic Settings > Mainatin Excise Deafults

  • SECess for Import Purchase

    Dear Gurus,
I am using Taxinn procedure. Also At the time of import purchase I am calculating SECess 1 % with the help of Condition JESH . I have assigned this condition at AP AT2 cond. in taxinn and also in prising procedure for import as in import we dont use taxinn directly.
Still when i capture and post excise invoice for import, SECess is not getting captured.BED i.e. CVD, AED, ECess are fine.
    Please Help.
    Regards
    Nilesh

    1) Goto invoice tab in PO and check if you have maintained a condition record for JEX1 and JSEP.
Also ensure that there is a tax code assigned in the invoice tab of PO.
    2) Also check that have you entered some value in commercial invoice for IN: CVD SecCess
    3) Check the same in condition tab of PO.
I think it will work after that!!

  • Excise capture in import PO with sub transction Type

    Hi Gurus
Can anyone tell me how to make the settings  while capturing Excise Duties for import PO in J1iex sceen.
I am unable to get the Sub Transaction type IP when trying to capture excise for import PO. I have made all the config settings for imports PO. only thing i am unable to get the AED amount  in the J1iex screen( all the other values 16%,2% and 1%  are flowing well).
    Please suggest some solution
    Its very urgent
Points will be rewarded for valuable solutions
    thanks
    kavitha

The only way to do it is to assign a small notional value (like 0.01 USD) to the item, so that the conditions tab does not disappear.
The only problem will be that the GR/IR clearing account will have an open entry, which can be cleared via MR11 with minimum accounting impact.

  • Base Value for Imports

    All SAP Gurus,
While capturing / posting excise invoice for Imports, which value to be considered as base value?
Is it the value of material only or some duties and other costs to be added over it to consider it as base value?
In our case material value + BCD is displayed as base value, while capturing / posting excise invoice.
    Is it correct?
If we want to take some more conditions (or delete some conditions) from being calculating as Base amount, what should be done?
    Please reply.

  • Cenvat clearing for IMPORT

    Hi
i had selcted the accurals in condn type and assingned a key of fr3 . here my cenvat condition values shud not add to material . but still i see the values are cumulated at GR .
    Please help how to avoid
    chris

    Hai,
1.Maintain excise defaults for CVD related condiitons in SPRO - IMG - Logisitcs general - Tax on goods & movements - India - Basic settings - Determination of excise duty - Maintain excise defaults.
2.If CVD values are added to the material cost, then check the material type in J1ID.
Maintain this input material as a raw material or capital goods like assets, tools or consumables as per ur requirement in Material & chapter id combination in J1ID.
