  • Diff between Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoice

    Hi all,
What are the differences between commercial invoice and excise invoice?
Which one is more related to SD?
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi,
Commercial Invoice contains information more specific to customer (Pricing, Tax, Payment terms), which becomes a part of recievables.
For Commercial Invoice, there is no need for advance declaration of the Number Ranges for the Document.
Excise Invoice contains information related to excise duties which has to be payed to the Excise authorities and also other statutory requirements .
For Excise Invoices, every manufacturing company has to declare the Number ranges (Per Excise Group/Series Group) to the excise authorities beginining of the year.
Nowadays most of the buinesses are directing toward common (Commercial *** Excise Invoice) printout , though in SAP its still a separate transaction for posting.
I hope this clears your doubt.
    Reward points if thie helps.

    Harsh

What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and
Invoices/Excise Invoices? Also I understand that we can combine 2~3
invoices and can create one commercial invoice? If it is possible, how
    to create the same?
    cheers
    shalsa007....

    Hello,
A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. Commercial invoices are utilized by customs officials to determine the value of the goods in order to assess customs duties and taxes.
In general there is no standard form for a commercial invoice although they tend to contain many of the following features:
    •     seller's contact information
    •     buyer's contact information
    •     consignee's contact information (if it is different from the buyers)
    •     invoice date
    •     a unique invoice number
    •     sales terms (usually in incoterm format)
    •     payment terms
    •     currency of sale
    •     full quantities and description of merchandise (Generally this includes unit price and total price. Product descriptions should be consistent with the buyer's purchase order. Including the Harmonized System commodity codes can be helpful, especially in countries that are WTO members.)
Excise invoice “Original for Buyer copy”, whether  prices are inclusive or exclusive of excise duty.
The invoice in which the Excise duties are included.
As per Indian tax system, Excise duty (16%) is payable by each manufacturing unit on the value of manufactured goods / on the value added. The manufacturing plant is supposed to submit an excise duty report on fortnightly / monthly basis. Various registers (RG1, RG23A, RG23C, PLA) are maintained for that purpose, which record all the transactions including movement of goods, cenvat credit available and cash balance available.
In SAP, we use transaction j1id for configuration and j1iin, j2i7, j1i5, j2i5, j2i6, j1ip for creating, extracting and printing excise invoice.

  • Creation of Delivery, Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoice in PS Cycle.

    Hi,
Pls explain how can we create deliveries, Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoices through PS cycle.
    Thanks and Regards

Assuming that the requirement is to differentiate only in print out, it is better to maintain the pricing condition in Euro itself instead of INR.  With the help of ABAPer, you can fetch the value as per the requirement.
Moreover, even if you change the customer master currency or document currency, it will not fetch the exact net value.
    thanks

  • Difference between shipping invoice and fiscal invoice?

    Helo.
Can anyone tell me the difference between Shipping Invoice and Fiscal Invoice?
    Regards
    Points are assured

    Hi Kulkarni,
    Invoice Processing
    Process
You can use this business process to display and process invoices both in SAP Enterprise Buyer (SAP EBP) and SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS).
As supplier or service provider, all invoices that you enter or process in SAP Enterprise Buyer must be approved by a responsible internal employee. For goods and services with a low purchase value, invoices and credit memos can also be created without a purchase order reference. Moreover, it is also possible to create express invoices in the check status application.
In SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS) invoices can be entered with reference to a purchase order, shipping notification, or contact person before they are sent to the customer.
If, following a purchase order, the goods supplied or the service provided turn out to be defective or the price charged is too high, you as an internal employee, supplier, or service provider, can enter and process credit memos or subsequent debits/credits in SAP Enterprise Buyer
i think the invoice generated during a particular fiscal year is fiscal invoice.
    thanks

  • Note 951952 - Incorrect excise values if batch split in MIGO for import PO

    Dear participants,
We have applied Note 951952 - Incorrect excise values if batch split in MIGO for import PO,
    for following issue,
While doing import goods receipt for batch split quantity,
excise base value is calculating for entire amount not by splitted quantity.
We are unable to solve this issue.
We are using SAP ECC release 6.0 level 11 whether above mentioned note can be applied or else any other
new notes to apply solve this issue.
    Advance thanks
    Regards,
    A.Jeyakanthan

Thanks for reply, will check note is applicable for current package level.
Actually we found excise base value is same for GR of batch split quantities for same material
with valuation type import duty free.

  • Maintaining difference currency in commercial invoice and Excise Invoice

    Dear Exparts,
My client's requirement is, for export process, net value of Delivery *** Excise pro-forma invoice and excise invoice would be in INR, but the net value of commercial invoice would be in EUR. I changed the currency EUR in the customer master sales area, sales tab. and maintain condition record for PR00 in INR. can anybody advice me, apart from that settings what should I do.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Different currency in Commercial invoice and Export excise invoice

    Dear All,
Our company wants have EURO currency till commercial billing.
Of course, we need to maintain INR for Excise invoice and ARE1.
But Excise invoice will be created with reference to Commercial invoice only.
Then how this currency conversion will happen?
Is it enough if we maintain exchange rate only?
Since the commercial invoice is in EURO, by default the same currency should be copied to "Excise invoice".  or By defualt system will create Excise invoice and ARE1 document in INR only.
    Please clarify.
    Regards,
    Mullairaja

    Dear All,
If the currency in the "Commericial invoice" is different from the "Company code currency", while posting the amounts to "Accounting" which value will be considered?
Posting will be happened in Company code currency or Document currency?

  • Difference Between Capture invoice and Only part1 in Migo

    Hi All,
I am doing GRN posting in MIGO, its a excise material, in which i am selecting ONLY PART1 option in excise invoice tab.
After posting the document if i go and look into this GRN no in display mode it is not at showing this Excise Invoice tab.
Can any one tell how the scenario will work if i select --
    1. ONLY PART1,
    2. Capture Excise Invoice.
    3. and other option like Capture excise invoice and post excise invoice.
    4. No excise entry.
Also let me know is there any link between this and Accounting ie., J1IEX & MIRO....,
Please help me out in this.
    Regards,
    Nagaraj S
Edited by: Nagaraj  S on Jul 23, 2009 3:29 PM

    Dear Nagaraj,
RG23A register have 2 components, one is quantity part (part I)& other one is value part(part II). While doing GR you have the option of updating the Part 1 only, capturing excise invoice & posting excise inv.
Normally "only Part1" option will be used when the goods recd from vendor with no excise invoice enclosed (expected later)& you want to make Qty receipt. In this case you will update qty part in RG23A register & later capture & post excise invoice in J1ieX.
Second option is Capturing excise invoice in GR. In this case you will capture excise invoice at the time GR (here Part1 will get updated) & later post the excise invoice in J1iex t-code. This procedure will be used by most of the companies since qty part will be done by stores person & excise value part by excise officer separtely. This procedure will have a good control over the value part as it be double confirmed by the excise officer befor posting.
Third option where you can post the excise invoice directly at the GR level iteself & this process no need of J1iEX t-code.
However the selection of second & third option is controled by the CIN config setting.
For non excisable material select no excise entry.
    Hope you understand.

  • Commercial Invoice and Stock Transport Order

    Hello Experts,
My client is using stock transport orders which sometimes results in cross border goods movement. I am not able to find any functionality for creating commercial invoices to be used for these types of shipping.
    Any ideas?
    rgds
    GAR

    Hi Gar,
Usually when there is a crossing of borders, it is a movement between 2 different companies code, therefore the intercompany purchase is the usual flow.
If you mean that the flow is between plants of the same company code between different countries, maybe you are talking about "Plants abroad" functionality.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/34/60b1a0ae724effe10000009b38f91f/content.htm
Previously, the plants of a company code had to belong to the country of that company code.
As of Release 4.0A, it is possible to deviate from this rule for European company codes with European plants.
I never had to use this functionality at a customer site, but that sounds like your requirement
Also allows internal billing document for intrastat reporting, so feel free to evaluate!

  • Difference between Parked invoice and posted park invoice.

    Dear All,
I am trying to create a new program to extract the invoices posted by MIRO and MIR7.  I have no problem to find invoices posted by MIRO in RBKP and RSEG.
However, as currenty one user will use MIR7 to park invoices and another user will use MIRO to post the invoices, I don't know how to sparate the parked invoice and posted park invoice. C's I have found that the parked not posted invoice and posted park invoice were all displayed in RBKP with transaction code MIR7.
    Thank you very much
    Emma

    Hi,
    *Park*
If the Invoice document is missing some information that is required for posting. In this case we will park the document. Here some preliminary checks will be performed.  Balance might not be zero. But in this case updates were performed.
    *Post*
The invoice was posted online and verified as being correct(Balance must be Zero). Updates were made.
Please use RBKP-RBSTAT field to find out the different type os status.
    I hope this helps.

  • Amount Difference in sales order and billing for one line item

    Hi experts,
User created one sales order with three line items say line item10, line item20
Line item 30.Line item 10 value is 5024.26 EUR in sales order. He did delivery for three line item and invoiced. But the problem is that the line item 10 value is changed i.e. 5024.28 EUR in Billing and the remaining line item values are correct. All the line items having same item category.
I asked the user to cancel the invoice and PGI. He did that. And again he created the PGI and Invoice. But the value of line item 10 become 5024.27 EUR and again he cancels the invoice and the PGI. and again he created the PGI and Invoice. Now the value of line item 10 is correct i.e. 5024.26EUR in invoice.
Note: No changes are carried out from sales order to billing and even in material also.
I checked copy control settings also all are correct.

    Hi
I think this is standard SAP issue of rounding the condition records at item level. Can you please share the netvalue for all the three items and the header net value at sales order and invoice level.
    kind regards
