  • Excise Duty not calculated at MIRO

    Hi
We have upgraded the patch level of SAP_APPL  from 10 to 11. Now, in PO we have assigned a tax code for calculation of excise duty at 14.42%. In the tax details in PO Items, system is showing the calculation of excise duties correctly. When the excise invoice from vendor is posted through J1IEX . Here the system is passing the entries
    BDE Dr
    Cess Dr
    SECESS Dr
           Cenvat Clearing A/c Cr
When we do MIRO, system is passing the following entries
    GR/IR Dr
         Vendor A/c Cr
The correct entries to be passed shoudl be
    GR/IR Dr
    Cenvat Clearing Dr
             Vendor A/c Cr
When we were on patch 10 for SAP_APPL, system was passing the entries correctly. However, after the upgradation, system is not capturing the excise details. We have maintained all the related configuration in J1ID and also maintained the condition records in FV11.

    Hi,
Check whether "GR based IV" is active for the PO line item under "Invoice" Tab. If not then active and check or do a complete new cycle with this indicator as active and check.
Also check that in MIRO, you are selecting the tax code of PO at Header level in "Basic Data" Tab also.

  • Commitment item not picking while MIRO posting for Service entry sheet

    Hi to all,
We have activated Fund Management in middle of the year where there were purchase order completed to till MIGO. When we do MIRO now system unable to pick commitment item from FMDERIVE.
We have created Commitment item as 50/3 combination ( No budget check ) and assigned to GR/IR clearing account.
We also activated trace in FMDERIVE and checked MIRO  posting and found that derivation is working properly but while posting it is triggering error.
Some one advise me as it affected daily activities.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Y.Kiran Babu

    Hi,
For the purchase order completed and the related MIGO created before FM was implemented, you need to run FMCN and FMCT.
I will explain to you in detail all the information related to the matter.
First of all, it seems to be in your PO that does not have FM account assignment (funds center and commitment item) in account assignment TAB. In addition, the error occurs usually also because in your SES the FM account assignment is missing.
For GR and IR documents FM always takes the major part of the FM account assignment from the PO.
You can fill these account assignments by using the programs RFFMCHAN/RFFMCHAT.
FMCN/FMCT must be run for the first document in the chain, which is the PO in case you don't have a PR assigned to this PO or an earmarked fund document. If you have PR's assigned to the PO's please run FMCN/FMCT for the PR first.
When executing the FMCT transaction, ALL documents selected in one group must be tested and processed successfully TOGETHER. If any one document fails, the ENTIRE group is shown as in error.
Therefore, first step is to ensure that the reference PO has a valid FM account assignment and is updated in FM. This should be done by FMCN/FMCT and subsequent posting with FMN4N (see reconstruction note 189761).
The SES itself might not be changed by FMCT. Therefore you should fulfill the FM account assignments in SES manually or with a custom program.
Please check also your table FM01X. As an alternative solution, you can enable one of these flags in table FM01X, depending on your business needs:
FLG_PO_PROTECT if you want to always inherit the fm account assignment from the reference PO and therefore skip FMDERIVE
FLG_FMDERIVE_FORCE if you always want to force a call to fmderive in all cases
FLG_SES_OVERWRITE in services, if you wish to overwrite the account assignment from the SES with the derived values from FMDERIVE.
You can find more information about it in text part of notes 1146677 and 923672.
FMDERIVE is skipped for GR/IR lines and the Commitment item is inherited from the PO regardless of whether or not the GR/IR line is FM relevant. This is SAP standard behavior.
If you want to force the Commitment item to be derived from the GL account for the GR/IR line, you can use the FLG_FMDERIVE_FORCE flag as described in note 923672.  This will allow FMDERIVE to be called for these lines.  Please be sure to fully test this to ensure that FM account assignments that you do not want to be overwritten are not incorrectly derived.
Bear in mind that for PO´s that does not have account assignment you should run FMCN/FMCT + FMN4N. For this you would need to check the flags and which one is more related to your needs. With the appropriate flag marked in FM01X (active with X) you should be able to run the transactions without any issue.
Based on note 189761, after doing all the previous suggestions and the issue does not appear anymore, I suggest you to run the following programs:
    1) FMN0 for this PO/GR to see if the actual values are correct in FM table FMIFIIT (FM actual line items).
    2) Run report RFFMRC04 (transaction FMAF). The reconstruction programs always update the totals records in Funds Management. Therefore, you do not normally need to reconstruct the totals records.  However, if you suspect there are data inconsistencies in the totals records, you can analyze and correct these using the report RFFMRC04 (transaction FMAF).
If you correct the totals records, you must do this before you reconstruct the assigned values (see below).
    3) Run reconstruction for AVC
You can also reconstruct the assigned values using the following tools:
o  Report BPINDX03 (transaction FMBV) for former budgeting
o  Report RFFMAVC_REINIT (transaction FMAVCREINIT) for the Budget
           Control System (BCS)
Make sure that no other system activities (postings, budgeting) are carried out during a reconstruction (commitment/actual or assigned values).
I believe that this resolve your inquiry.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Posted Excise duty not appearing in MIRO

    Hello folks,
We are capturing Excise invoice in MIGO and then as per the vendors
excise invoice we change the ED in the captured excise invoice and then
post it. We have noticed that in some cases the exise duty posted in
J1IEX is not the same which is appearing in MIRO. first we assumed that
it is appearing only for the changed items, but then we found this is
only in case of some invoices and not for the all invoices of those
    items.
please let me know what to do.
    regards

Why do you change excise duties while posting ? Vendor is a dealer ??

  • CIN: Excise Duty (JMOD) & ECESS (JECS)

    Hi Gurus
    Need yr expertise...
    Question 1:
Do we need to maintain the 100% for JMOD in VK19 (application TX) or VK11? Reason is if I maintained 100% for JMOD in VK19 (application TX), it is working fine as the excise will be pick up from J1ID and in the SO, the excise duty will be added in the net value. But if I maintain 100% for JMOD in VK11, excise duty will be also pick up from J1ID but the excise duty is added in net value and tax in SO. Which is correct? As far as I understand excise duty should not be added in tax in SO..
    Question 2:
JECS is not picking up from J1ID.. I have maintained exactly like JMOD meaning 100% for JECS in FI.. In SO it is showing as 100% but if I maintained 2% than it is showing as 2% in SO.. Why it is not picking up from J1ID?
    Pls advise on the above..
    Rgds..Vinz

    Hi Vinz.
Please find the answers for your questions below:
Q.1 Do we need to maintain the 100% for JMOD in VK19 (application TX) or VK11?
Ans: Maintain 100% for JMOD in VK19 (application TX) only. No need to maintain any condition record for JMOD in VK11.
Q.2 Explanation of Net value and Tax value
Vinz. See, JMOD being condition from FI Side fetches the condition record via tax code (100%) and then takes 100% of what is maintained in J1ID.
Excise Duty is getting added to Tax Value because condition record has been maintained for JMOD (application TX ) and you have not made JMOD as statistical in your tax procedure.
Excise Duty is also getting added to Net Value because of SD Side condition JEX2 whose condition record has been maintained in application V (via VK11) which is Of Course not a statistical condition.
That is the reason it is coming in Net Value(Due to JEX2) as well as Tax Value(Due to JMOD not marked as statistical in Tax procedure)
Q.3 Which is correct? As far as I understand excise duty should not be added in tax in SO..
    Ans:  Correct.
Total Central Tax to be marked as statistical in the tax procedure
TAXINJ , so mark JMOD as statistical in Tax procedure.
Q.4 JECS is not picking up from J1ID..
Ans : Plz check following :
    1. Formula 366 has been assigned to JECS in Tax procedure as well as pricing procedure and Formula 353 (if factory sale ) or Formula 356 (if depot sale) has been assigned to JECX in Pricing procedure. And Formula 366, 353 and 356 contains the changes required for Edu. Cess
    2. Conditon record for JECX has been maintained in VK11 as 100%.
    3. Check you have maintained 2% in J1ID for column ECS%.
Hope this sorts out your issues. Please come again if you have any doubts.
    Plz reward if found useful.

Now problem is that system is not allowing MIRO transaction due too much excise duty.

    Waiting for reply.
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
If possible reverse the consumed one then reverse the material docu, post the excise invoice again and cancel the invoice.
    OR
You need to adjust with Journal entry in T Code J1IH.

  • Subcontracting with excise duty ??

    Hi experts
Can anybody explain me , how subcontracting procees haes been done with excsie duty ?
In short somebody can explain me  here only , with any link.
I should know , how the excise invoice has being created and how capture and post the same will be happened ??
While sending the material for job work. the excise duty value 'll be less .
While receving as finished goods from subcontractor excise value will be more , so hopw this will happen in real time .....???????
    Thanks
    SAP-MM

    Hi.
Your scenario comes under u201CSubcontracting Under Full Payment of Dutyu201D .
The basic requirement is that in your pricing you should have manual condition (JEXC) for entering the excise duty of the finished goods which you are getting from the subcontractor.
Rest of the thing is normalu2026
1.First create a sub cont PO as usual. But under conditions you should enter the Excise duty liable on that finished goods
against the condition JEXC.  Later you maintain the BOM.
    2. Do the transfer posting of the child components.
    3. Based on this transfer posting document create a out going excise invoice at J1IS. Here what ever the excise duties comes
will be the excise duties of child components.
    4. After this physical send the child components along with the excise invoice.
    5. Later the subcontractor process those child components and send you the finished goods along with his excise invoice.
This excise invoice will contains the excise duty applicable on the finished material. Anyway you have maintained this at the
time of PO creation against JEXC condition. If you found any difference in the excise value what you maintained in PO and
that form the subcontractor excise invoice, then amend the PO to the correct value.
    6. After that first before GR only capture (not Post) the excise invoice with reference to PO.
    7. After that DO the GRu2026
    8. After that Post the excise invoice.
    9. Finally do the payment by MIRO to the subcontracting vendoru2026
Hope this will clarify your doubt.

  • Excise duty in manual and vat by using taxcode

    Dear Experts,

    1. I am trying to capture the excise duty 2% and vat 5% for a item a while entering the price for the item a as 300.
    2. I done the following step in MM settings.
    3. In Define calculation schema by using condition type JEXC and account key as VST. i am giving a manual input.
    4. For VST i did the account determination in OBYC setting also.
while raising the PO i am giving the input as said above in point 1. by PO shows the value of excise duty 12 and vat 15.
After taking the MIGO entry and i tried to capture the MIRO entry i am not getting the value of excise duty 12 in the MIRO document.
CAN anyone help me in this regards.
    Thanks in Advance
    hari.

    Hi ,
Are you using JEXC condition type for manual excise?
If it is right, please put this condition type manually while creating PO, and please dont use excise tax codes.

  • Manual Excise duty with fixed amount in Sales order

    Dear Sir/Madam.,
This is regarding manual excise duty with fixed amount in SD Module . I
have created three conditon type ZEXP,ZECS,ZA1X for BED ,CESS and HSED for manual excise duty with fixed amount, other than the standard condition type JEXP,JECS,JA1X , because  my TRADING SALE scenario needs both condition type with fixed percentage and fixed amount conditions also.  After the pricing procedure updation for trading sale, I have tried to create the sale invoice with VF01 , it is ok till  the VF01 for manual excise duty but when ever I tried to excise posting with J1IIN. the manual excise duty show only zero, whiile we used the  standard Condition type JEXP, JECS, AND JA1X with fixed percentage  8% -2% -1%  our over all steps are ok till J1IIN for excise invoice, mean BED ,CESS and HSED shown correctly.
I have done some experiment with the TAXINN tax procedure in (Logistics general > tax on good movments> india> basic settting>determination of excise duty> Maintain excise default), I have replaced the condition types  JEXP, JECS and JA1X with the ZEXP, ZECS and  ZA1X in the corresponding filed. then after my manual excise duty with fixed amount data  was reflecting
in the J1IIN and it start to work properly with the excise duty but my fixed percentage condition type stop to working mean, it was now showing the duty at the time of  excise duty posting J1IIN .
I want to use both the condition types in the same TRADING SALE scenario. May anybody help me to solve this issue.
    With Regard
    Vijay Kumar

    Dear Mr. Siva,
Sorry for the late reply, actually I was out of touch from this issue for few days. I am sending you the detail about my configuration----
I have assigned this condition type as following ...
    TAXINN     ZA1X     A/R AT1 Quantity based
TAXINN     ZECS     A/R Cess Quantity Based
TAXINN     ZEXP     A/R BED Quantity based
    Condition type information
         Control data 1
    Cond. class       D  Taxes
    Calculat.type     Q  Commodity
    Cond.category  D  Tax
    Rounding rule         Commercia
    StrucCond.
         Change which can be made---
Manual entries      C       Manual entry has priority
Still it is not showing the duty at the time of (J1IIN)
It may be I am missing some configuration or wrong configuration.
    give me some hints...
    thank you

  • Excise duty actuals

    Hi experts
    Excise duty actual
While creating PO tax code selected as exise duty actuals
Ex: Quantity 15000 Price Rs.25 per unit  (this price including excise duty)
    VAT 4%
While booking MIGO the following entries are updating manually (Excise duty)
    Basic price : 125000 (GR/IR credit)
    BED  10 % : 9250
    ECS  2 % : 185
    SEcess 1%: 93
While booking the MIRO the following entries are updating
    Vendoru2026.  Cr    1,40,043.00
    GR/IR clearing a/c      Dr  1,25,000.00
CENVAT clearing a/c  Dr   Rs 9,250.00
    CENVAT clearing a/c  Dr  Rs.185.00
    CENVAT clearing a/c  Dr  Rs.93.00
VAT Purchase          Dr.5515.00 ( as per invoice VAT 4% should be Rs.5,381.00)
System is wrongly calculating VAT 4%
Please let me know what could be the solution

    Hi,
    As per ur issue
While creating PO tax code selected as exise duty actuals
Ex: Quantity 15000 Price Rs.25 per unit (this price including excise duty)
    VAT 4%
While booking MIGO the following entries are updating manually (Excise duty)
    Basic price : 125000 (GR/IR credit)
    BED 10 % : 9250
    ECS 2 % : 185
    SEcess 1%: 93
    BUT IT SHOULD BE
    BED 10%       : 12500(125000*10/100)
    ECS 2%         : 250(12500*2/100)
    SECESS 1%  : 125(12500*1/100)
Then in MIRO it becomes as folows
While booking the MIRO the following entries are updating
    Vendoru2026. Cr 1,43,390.00
    GR/IR clearing a/c Dr 1,25,000.00
CENVAT clearing a/c Dr Rs 12500.00
    CENVAT clearing a/c Dr Rs.250.00
    CENVAT clearing a/c Dr Rs.125.00
    VAT Purchase Dr.5515.00 (137875*4/100)
So your calculations are wrong just check the percentages carefully

  • TAXINN SD For Excise Duty where to maintain TAX CODE in condition record?

is Tax code necessary for excise determination in TAXINN in SD Scenario? While maintaining condition record ( JEXP) for Excise access sequence JEXC doesnu2019t has Tax Code field Whereas for Sale Tax determination ( JCST/JLST) access sequence JLST /CST which has Tax code field . (In TAXINN we create Dummy tax code (blank))
is it true whatever I have written ? If yes then what is use of tax code where it triggers in FI Posting? Why we use only for Sale Tax not for Excise duty?
If u go to SAP Std condition type & access sequence provide for CIN in SD (TAXINN) While maintaining condition record ( JEXP) for Excise. Access sequence JEXC doesnu2019t has Tax Code field . do u think we should modify that create field for Tax code ..... Pl check in system & answer the question .......I hope u understand what i want to ask.

    Hi,
As per my knowledge, Excise is not Tax its a Duty....
Excise gets added to your base price and the tax is calculated on the whole amount and not only the basic price.
Say if u r manufacturing a material and u r under excise regulations, then without paying excise duty you can't move the goods out of your premises, Here even before you sell the material to a customer the excise duty is paid from you. But when u will be selling the material to a customer, the customer is charged the excise duty which gets added to the net value and then the sales tax is calculated.
If u see a sale order condition tab page, there are two fields
    1. Net Value      2. Tax
Net value is the value which includes the excise duty and the tax is only the CST/LST/VAT.

  • Subcontracting with pay of Excise Duty

    Dear All,
In Subcontracting with pay of Excise Duty,
How much % i have to maintain in Condition Type JEXC & how could i get the accounting entry mention below in MIGO & Excise flow in BED,ECS & SECS fields.
    CENVAT Input BED - Dr
    CENVAT Input ECS - Dr
    CENVAT Input SECess - Dr
    CENVAT Clearing A/c - Cr
    Plz suggest...........
    Thanks

    Hi,
Indeed, in subcontracting process u donot need to pay any excise despite the material sending to the vendor is excisable one. Here in this process:
    1. U have to create a subcontract  challan with J1IF01 and take a print out of the challan with j1if13 and send with subcon material.
    2. Transfer the material from our stocks to subcontractor vendor with 541 movement type.
If the material is not received from  the vendor with in 180 days u have to pay the CENVAT credit amount taken at the time of  purchasing.
And, u can take the credit again after receiving the material again using J1IFQ.
If it is of  inventorised excise type, u donot need to think of it as the values r gets added to the material at the the time of purchasing itself.
    Regards,
    Bhuvan
