Failure Installing 4.3

Question

I am trying to install SJSMQ 4.3 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 but the installer throws the following error.

Error: Invalid root in registry key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion"

With 4.2 I could get a JAR file and I just needed to unzip and MQ was installed. Is such a JAR file available for 4.3

I searched around for that error you are seeing and
found a couple of references to it being a Java
installation problem and then the JDK Selection in the MQ Installer
can't handle the invalid reference. Possibly the previous
Java that was installed did not get uninstalled
properly and now there are incompatible Java components
in the registry and/or the "CurrentVersion" value is invalid.
The post says to:
o uninstall all Java or JDK software via the control panel.
o Make sure all Java or JDK software are actually removed from
the folders.
o Search the registry for any key or value containing "java" and remove it!
o Install the new JDK again.
o Make sure you have PATH & CLASSPATH set properly. Check that the "BIN" directory of
the JDK is in your PATH.
Then try installing MQ again.
