File transfer_only comming in

I am on 10.5.8, running iChat 4.0.8 (I am new to this)
I can receive files but when the same person try to send one to me it does not work.
The only option when I see the file name that he is trying to send me is "Decline" or "Save", if I click save, am empty file appears on my desktop, and the progress bar just keep rolling.
The chat part works fine.
Please help;
PS: The buddy trying to send file says he has version 5 of iChat.

Hi,
You can have Screen Names (Accounts as iChat calls them) from several places.
Some log in to AIM such as AIM name, Apple MobileMe IDs and the older @Mac.com ones.
Then you can have Jabber ones including the GoogleTalk ones.
The first bit for all is the same.
1) GO to iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts
2) Click the Plus Button lower left.
3) Select the type of account/Screen Name that it is.
4) fill in the Boxes
5) Press Done Button
You have to have registered a Screen Name first.
Entering what you want as a Screen Name does not mean it will Register it.
Adding Buddies to the List would be next.
You will notice in the Drop down that I changed to read AIM that they are sub-divided in to AIM and the two Apple ID types and th Google an Jabber ones
You can add Buddies from the top three types to any Buddy list you have with one of those IDs i.e Apple IDs to an AIM Buddy list and Vice Versa. (Generically AIM Buddies)
You can Add Jabber Buddies to a Google one (or Vice Versa) (Generically Jabber Buddies)
What you cannot do is add AIM based ones to a Jabber based ID Buddy list.
If you have a MobileMe Account and have added it to iChat then you have an "AIM" Buddy list in the generic sense that it logs in to the AIM servers and if your Buddy also has a AIM name you can try that Buddy List/Screen Name for them to try sending files.

When in DFU mode and connected to the computer iTunes does not say anything but iTunes will see the iPod and you can restore the iPod via iTunes. When in recovery mode and you connect, iTunes will say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I suspect you have created the documnet's in Pages 08 or earlier. Do you have the iWork 08 DVD so you can install it? Then update to from this link Pages 08 3.0.3 Use it for you older documents and use Pages 5 only for new documents.

Picture files all come up as same scenery image

I am new here, hope I am in the right forum, apologize if I am not. All pictures in my hard drives come up as an ocean shore scene. I have to double click each one to get the correct photo, but I can't look at them all at once to compare which one I want to work with. I have Windows Vista Home Basic, Adobe 8 and Flash 10.3. Am I looking in the wrong place for an answer? Appreciate any help.

Thanks for your reply. I seem to have trouble getting anyone to understand what my problem is. I'm just new on here, not very computer smart, and I may have gotten in the wrong forum, but I had to start someplace. Haven't talked to anyone local that can fix the problem. Problem-
All my picture files; paint, documents, digital camera, external hard drive, anything within my computer and not on line, are shown as an ocean shore scene (maybe a screen saver) instead of the pictures that are in the file. They all come up with the proper headings and I can double click and see the proper picture one at a time, and slide shows are OK, but I need to be able to see all of them at one time, instead of that screen saver picture. Windows Photo Gallery is the only file that comes up right. All pictures show there in their proper image.
If this don't make sense to you, I'll understand. Thank you for your time anyway. Take care.

Where do you state that you need to email the files to someone else?
Where do you state that you need to edit them?
This was my response ....
You can't edit any of these files without a compatible iPad app like Documents to Go (Excel, Word) or Pages (Word files).
You can open and view the files as mail attachments but you will not be able to edit them. Explain exactly what you are doing and maybe you can get meaningful instructions.
Basically I said the same thing as Julian and I thought that maybe if you explained EXACTLY what you were trying to do, it would be helpful.

I was trying the "How to BI JAVA SDK in a Portal iView and get the following error.
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sap.portal.services.api.connectorgateway.IConnectorGatewayService. Fix the classpath and try rebuilding this project.
I have the following in my portalapp.xml file
<property name="SharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.ivs.connectorservice"/>
and i have also added the jar file "com.sap.portal.ivs.connectorservice_api" in the set of lib's
Has some faced a similar issue? or can someone suggest how I could possibly resolve this.

After compiling with javac which works perfectly, rmic fails with the message below. I have added the -verbose flag in an attempt to make it more clear to me however, the error does't make sense, why would rmic complain about a missing '{' where javac wouldn't? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

What is your program - Photoshop Elements 9 or Premiere Elements 9? If Photoshop Elements 9, you have posted in the wrong forum. You have posted in Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing). Although Camera Raw allows for the import of raw format image and dng into a Premiere Elements project as source media, you cannot "process" it in the Camera Raw dialog. You need Photoshop Elements for that.
If your program is Photoshop Elements, please re-post your thread in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum or wait for a moderator here to see your thread here and move it from here to there.

Does your current problem exist with and without antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Are you getting an error message (number/code) associate with your Help Menu/Update?
The latest version of Camera Raw that is supported by version 9.0/9.0.1 seems to be 6.5. Do you have that currently installed?
If you cannot get the program's Help Menu/Update to work for you, then download and install Camera Raw 6.5 from the following from Adobe

What camera are you using to generate your raw format images.

Hi. I developed a project with an older version of SAP NetWeaver and Web Dynpro and have now updated to newer versions (SAP NetWeaver 7.1).
I now tried to reimport the project and have 2 errors, i can't solve.
"The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.AttributePointer. Fix the build path then try building this project"
"The type com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.AttributePointer cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files"
Does anybody know, how I can fix these problems?

I stupidly uninstalled the version of iTunes I had working on my notebook when the update kept failing and am now unable to get anything happening at all.

I had probs with 7.2. Reloaded 7.1 works fine. I think 7.2 needs some more work before it will work for me.
