Fonts missing in CS2 that show up in other programs

I recently moved my copy of Photoshop CS2 to a new Windows 7 computer and all seemed to work well until I had need for a specific font. It's not there. The font shows up in the Windows Control Panel and in other software, like MS Word, but it's just not on the list in Photoshop.
I'm not sure how to proceed, but that missing font is an important one for me and I'll appreciate any help that might be available.

After checking my font inventory against those that show up in my PhotoShop selector window, I find that there are several that appear in the Windows Control Panel, MS Word and other Office applications, as well as Acrobat and InDesign, but not in PS. It appears that PhotoShop is the only thing that has this problem, so the solution should be within that process. I've followed a suggestion found in another thread, by deleting the PS font list files, but that seems to have no effect.
This is an especially thorny problem since my firm's logo depends upon one of the missing fonts. Is there any possible solution in re-installing PhotoShop, or even in an upgrade to a later edition? I'd prefer not to spend the money for the latest, but have to solve this problem somehow.

Often, when fields are close together, the blue frame that shows the field gets in the way of selecting nearby fields. I often wished there was a way to turn this off. Well, I got my wish. How do I change my Mail photo id tag that shows up in other mac users mail?

I looked around for what I thought was the obvious places like system preferences in Mail and accounts. I do not have a login setting to my mac since I'm the only one using it so I have no log in photo. The pic that is up is of me when I first got my mac and I'd like to update it. Where can I edit that outgoing photo of me which is ugly that shows up in emails I send to mac users?! Thanks, Matt

Mail isn't sending the photo. The Address Book photos are put on incoming mail that matches a user in the Address Book. You need to retouch your photo in the other users' Address Books.
It is possible other users could be getting your picture from a server. From Address Book's Help:
"A picture can appear in a contact’s card even though you haven’t added a picture yourself. If a picture whose filename matches the contact’s email address and whose file extension is .tiff (such as [email protected]) is located on your computer in a folder named Library/Images/People, or is located on a computer or server you’re connected to in a /Library/Images/People folder, the picture will automatically appear in Address Book, Mail, iChat and other applications where the contact’s email address is used."

Will LR tags show up in other programs?

If I ever decided to stop using LR and switch to some other program, what type of metadata would be included with all of my images? I really only use LR to add tags to each image. Would these tags show up for my images in other programs?

You have to instruct Lightroom to write the tags to the files (or in the case of RAW, sidecar files).
Select the desired files and then Metadata->Save Metadata to File

Fonts missing in Flash that are installed

Hi there,
I've created a layout in Illustrator using Myriad font,
however when I import into Flash (on the same system) it says the
font is missing. Sure enough Flash doesn't have Myriad in the font
drop down, even though it is installed on the machine & visable
to other apps. What's the problem?!

A bit of additional information... The Myriad font is a True
Type. It was installed under C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Adobe\Fonts so I have installed it under C:\Windows\Fonts and
restarted Flash, however it still doesn't show up?

Not receiving some mail that shows up on other servers

Sometimes I do not receive all emails in Mail. I can however find them on my service provider's email app. It only seems to happen with a couple of senders, but not all the time. At least I'm aware of those because they involve business dealings that I apparently missed. I've checked 'rules', rebuilt the mailbox, checked the firewall and resent the missing message from my server's account. All to no avail. HELP!
This problem is not new to me with Leopard. I also had this problem with previous OS versions.

I restarted the device, I verified that I have internet, I even deleted the account and re-entered all that information again.
It reloads nearly all my emails fine, in fact all of them that I know of, EXCEPT for this one from my friend, sitting at the top of my inbox on my iMac. It's an email sent by my friend from his iphone, with a 126K photo attached.
Is there some reason iOS would refuse to show me this mail, like a junk filter?

Muti-page HTML Web Engine that shows filename or other details

I am getting frustrated with the limited web support in Lightroom 2.1. I am looking for a very basic HTML based web engine that can show labels, flagged status or name on the thumbnail page. I don't have the time to figure out the SDK and start writing my own.
I have tried the TTG engines, which will allow you to put additional info into the thumbnails, but it dumps everything into one page and it doesn't stack the thumbnails correctly.
Can anyone point me to something that would work. It just shouldn't be this hard.

Right.
There are 3 ways to use CSS:
Inline: styles applied to the HTML code between the <body> tags. This is not usually recommended.
Embedded: inside <style> and </style> tags between the <head> tags in your HTML document. This code is applied to only one page.
External: a physical file that contains nothing but CSS code and applies to all site pages that are linked to it.
If you have a unique style you want to use on a single page, either use embedded CSS (in the HTML document itself) or set up a unique class in your external stylesheet.

I am encountering a missing font error on Adobe Illustrator for a font that I recently bought - Centrale Sans Bold. This font is clearly installed in the system's font folder and is also showing in the font list on Adobe Illustrator. But when I open an existing file containing this font it is giving the error "The document uses fonts or characters which are not available or are in a different format than originally specified".
We have also bought Centrale Sans regular from a different website as we couldn't find both on one, could that be clashing somehow?
Also the existing file was created on MAC plattform and we are using a windows plattform to open it. That to me doesn't seem like an issue as all other files are opening up fine and I have bought around 47 fonts and only this font seems to be not working. I have also written to the website I bought it from but I have also bought around 20-25 fonts from them and all the other fonts are working fine too. Maybe its an illustrator related problem?

There is one way its getting fixed. Once I update my Adobe Illustrator CC to Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 it is further allowing me to go into the system folder and allocate the font to the file so that it can replace it. My only concern now is that our MAC partners who will receive these files back from us have Adobe CS6. We will down save it to CS6 but I hope they won't experience any font issues because of us using CC 2014? Any light you can shed on this?

Select Object Type LFA1 and click on execute button.
Than click on Fields tab, Find your required field and click on execute button.
Than enter vendor list for which you want to find out the list.
And click on execute button.

With the current version of iTunes the left-hand sidebar that you could get to show has been removed. Now when a device is connected you should get a device icon towards the top left of the iTunes screen next to the content type icons - click on that and you should get a list of categories down the left-hand side for the phone, one set selecting and syncing content from your computer's iTunes, and then a second set for showing what is currently on the phone.
Does that device icon show ?

I am missing the safari icon that shows number of pages open

Missed calls can only appear in your missed call list if your phone knows about them. In other words, if the phone rang, but you did not answer.
If a call was missed because your phone was turned off or not in a strong enough service area to receive the call, then it will not show up on your phone.
