Free game issue

I am new to Apple and thought I would try a free game App but it is requesting me to change my Apple id (I do not want to change it) and it will not allow me to type or cancel the box or the game.  Can anyony assist me please.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • I download two free games from itunes, it is not showing up on my iphone. Help

I downloaded two free games from itunes, it is not showing up on my iphone as an icon.  I see it when i have my phone linked to the computer,

I think I may have confused you and I apologize. But you are also confusing me now.
If you were not using restrictions before, then that is why the Allowed Content for Movies in in accessible. You can only access that if you had set a restrictions Passcode. If you do not have restrictions set, then it is a non issue and don't worry about that suggestion.
Were you actively using restrictions on the iPad? If you weren't then you don't have to enable it now. That will not do any good.

  • I downloaded a free game and my credit card informed about a spending of 1 dol...  What is it about?  Was it not a free game?

Hi.  I've just downloaded a free game (gizmonauts) and inmediatly my credit card informed about a spending of 1 dol...  What is it about?  Was it not a free game?

You may well get additional temporary authorization holds on your credit card.  Anytime you use the iTunes or App Store and you are asked to verify your account, which happens periodically (especially if you have not used it in awhile), an authorization hold may appear.
Again, they are not actual charges - think of it as Apple's billing system simply asking the credict card issuer "if I charged a dollar to this account, would the charge be honored?".  When the bank's system replies affirmative, the hold is removed and disappears from your account.  But no charge is actually submitted to the bank, nor processed by the bank.

  • HT1349 Hi can u help I've been trying to download games and it's showing declined on my card detail when I have purchase games before not even allowing me to download free games can u help please

Hi I can not download as my card details keep saying declined even with free games I have purchased games before can u help

There seems to be a problem with your payment details with the credit card associated with your Apple ID. You need to correct that before you will be able to download anything. Use the Settings app to check payment detail.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on your Apple ID > View Apple ID > enter Apple ID password > Payment Information
View and correct your payment information. You could have an expired card. Your card may be blocked by the issuer of the card.

  • Price was charged for free game listed in appstore

I installed  game called "Clumsy Ninja" which was shown as free in appstore, but it was charged 60 rupees for the purchase when i proceeded with installation.
Expected Results: Free game from appstore should not have been charged.

    Hey there prashant2894,
It sounds like you installed a free app and were charged for it. When you get the email receipt for the purchase I would recommend using this article to report an issue to our iTunes Store support:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933
To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

  • Safari closes windows, opens App Store promoting some free game or just crashes. Virus?

My iPad air is barely a month old and I'm having issues with Safari closing, crashing or closing the tab that I am reading and opening the App Store as if I'd selected to download a free game. At first I thought this last issue was that I was touching adverts while navigating, but no, it appears to choose to do it all by itself. Is this a virus issue? I have cleared history, caches and cookies. Is there a way to reformat the iPad? Thanks in advance!

  • 'Free' games on app store

There will be a question, so please stick with me.
I had an interesting chat with some mates tonight. It was regarding a game 'clash of clans' which is free to download & then entices you to spend enormous amounts of cash once you're hooked.  i've read of some users spending up to £1000 per month on the game. Supercell, the developers, are grossing around £2MM per day....
Anyway, heres the common theme from our discussion. We all have kids.  We all think that apple should put in bold lettering above the game that it is not actually free,  by a long way. In fact, i think that you should have a separate category for these 'not free' games. Also, given that super-cells monetization tactics are morally questionable, we don't think apple, a company we all quite like, should be actively promoting them.
Heres the real problem. We have all tried to write very negative reviews on the app store. When one of my mates asked 'what did you write', i went on  the app store to check. It wasn't there. Neither were any of the reviews the rest of the group has tried to post. Further to this, if you look at the reviews on the app store for this game, very few allude to what I've mentioned here. All the 'bad' reviews are 'its great, but i cant login' etc. 3 people in our group had tried without sucess to post reviews months ago, and i don't think we are in a minority. Furthermore, if you go on the android review sites for this game, there are literally thousands of scathing reviews for this game.
My questions. Why aren't genuine negative reviews being posted? Why do apple advertise these games in the 'free' section? They are clearly not free.
One of my mates is the founder of a large parenting website & shes going to commission an article on this (i.e. 'parents - don't let your kids download this / why on earth do apple allow this on their store without a health warning / why are these games in the 'free' section).

Since you provide almost no information at all about your issue, it is very difficult to guess.

  • I'm trying to download a free game but it's says purchase details

Hi can someone help me please I'm trying to download free games which I've done many times before now it's sayin purchase details wen its a free game

    Hey Jessy_vicky,
Thanks for the question. Try changing your payment information to “None”. If you are unable to select “None” as a payment option, see the following resource:
Why can’t I select None when I edit my payment information?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366
Using an existing iTunes Store or App Store account
If you have an unpaid balance or payment due, you can't select None as your payment type. To see which order you need to pay for, view your purchase history. When you sign in to the store, you may see a message that there was a billing issue with your last order. Click the Billing Info button to see the order.
After you pay for the order, you can change your payment information to None.
