Full Equi address data by Address number via RFC

Hi, I'm programming in an SAP ERP system, and try to get some equipment releated information from a partner IS-U system. In particular I would like to get an equipments full address data from the IS-U system. Now, I found the BAPI with function module BAPI_EQUI_GETDETAIL which already provides me with the address number of the equi in IS-U, but so far no luck to find some RFC enabled function module (or the like) to get the full address for this address number. On the other hand, this equi is bult into a functional location. But the situation is similar here: I can make it to an address number of that functional location, but did not find a way to translate that adress number to the full address date. Somebody around who knows [a|the] solution for this problem? My other way would be to write an RFC enabled function module myself, but I would be happy not to need to... Thanks, kind regards, Holger

Hi Holger,
You can try ADDRESS_GET_DATA, it's RFC enabled and part of the Basis component (so should be in your IS-U system).
However, the prefix of the description reads 'obsolete', so I'm assuming there's a replacement for it out there somewhere.

Multiple address number fields on a table

Hi. I have a Z table which had an address field ADRNR data element AD_ADDRNUM. When maintaining the table via SM30, there is a function button "Address" to maintain this field. I have just added a second address field ZCRED_ADRNR data element AD_ADDRNUM. Now every time I try to maintain these addresses via the function button in SM30, I get a message "Address for object ... not found. Do you want to create a new address?" If I choose to create a new address, the address number in ADRNR is changed (eg from 0700264579 to 0700264580) and the address number in ZCRED_ADRNR appears as @NEW000000 - even though I only got one "Edit Address" popup. If I look on table ADRC there is a record for the old address from field ADRNR (0700264579) is there, plus the new one (0700264580) but there is no record for ZCRED_ADRNR (@NEW000000).
Could anybody tell me what I've done wrong?

Looks like somebody created some sort of check in your table maintenance via the predefined events for table maintenance. So try to find out in which event this check is triggered and why.

Changing address number in KNA1

adress for customer is stored in ADRC, ADR6, etc................with adrnr as key.
Adress number is stored in table KNA1.
how can i 'connect' another adress number to KNA1 without doing 'hardcoded' table-update (which is dirty).

I have customer A with its adress data with e.g. adrnummer 123.
I have customer B with its adress data with e.g. adrnummber 321.
I want customer B to have the adress of customer A, so customer B needs the adrnr 123
I'd strongly suggest to refrain from such changes that are not supported by the data model. I.e. within standard SAP you cannot create two customers with a reference to the same address. The storage of addresses via central address management (i.e. ADR* tables) is completely transparent to the user and not visible.
Let's assume that you'd implement what you're trying to do. Now changing the address of customer A, automatically changes the address of customer B. Thus in order to show the link you'd have to somehow make a grouping indicator visible that ensures that customers with the same address reference can be identified via the user interface (i.e. XD03, VD03, etc. transaction and not SE16 on KNA1). Using a grouping indicator other than the address number would require to keep the two in sync. Possible, but a maintenance issue.
So without further information your data model sounds quite strange, as it's unclear why you'd have to reference addresses instead of syncing up addresses automatically. I.e. if you have a program that somehow can identify customers A and B as customers, which should share an address, then it shouldn't be too hard to update the address fields instead using standard SAP functionality.
I do understand that you'd have possibly trouble ensuring address consistency when addresses are changed (i.e. simultaneously on A and B), but if you think about your model, you can see the same issue. I.e. customers are not locked on address level, so two people could change the address for A and B at the same time. Since they share the address, the last update would win and overwrite the other updates. I can see already the help desk getting all those calls from users asking why the system doesn't work...
Long story short, my simple recommendation is Don't do it!.

Today I have received the same error message while processing an inbound ORDERS IDoc. The error is due to the partner segments E1EDKA1 which contained:
PARVW     AG
ILNNR     SHOPS02020001
PARVW     WE
ILNNR     SHOPS02020001
When I changed the data in this segments as shown below it works:
PARVW     AG
LIFNR     SHOPS02020001
PARVW     WE
LIFNR     SHOPS02020001

Mac Mail displays full email addresses instead of contact name

I use the Mail application on my MacBook for managing multiple email accounts and use the Contacts application to manage my address book (self explanatory).
For example: I have saved PayPal's email address ([email protected]) into my address book as "PayPay" because of the high number of emails I receive from them. In Mail, each email I have received is displaying the full email address of the sender, rather than their address book name (whether it be a company or friend/relative) and this is making it to spot senders while scrolling.
Is there a setting where if the email address is in the Contacts app, the name of that particular contact appears rather than the full address?

whether your number or email address is desplayed depends on how you have Caller ID set.
Settings -> Messages ->Receive At ->Caller ID (chose what you want displayed)

How to get the Personal Number from Address Number

I have one requirement which is as follows.
I have one Customer. I am fetching Address Number(ADRNR) of this customer number from table KNA1.
I want to find the Personal number linked to this Address number and Customer.
Is there is any table or FM from where i will get the Personal number of the Customer using Customer number and Address number?

I found FM BUA_BUPA_BUT020_GET to read address data from buffer.. using this i can update external address number field. but i am not able to see phone related fields in buffer.
how to update phone related fields in buffer ( in any of the BADI).

You can get the information from the table ADRC Addresses (Business Address Services)
Field name for telephone number TEL_NUMBER
For Email address
SMTP_ADDR
And you have the common field between these two tables
ADDRNUMBER

How to set default bill to/ship to flag for addresses imported via DTW?

Hi experts,
I'm currently preparing the initial import of Business Partner Master Data but I'm struggeling a bit with the logic behind the dtw templates.
From my perspective the best way should be to import first the Business Partners general information and then import all addresses with the seperate address template. But how is it possible to define the default bill to and ship to addresses in this template!?
As alternative way I thought about importing the default ship to and bill to addresses with the general master data and import all additional addresses with the address template. But the geneal BP template seems lacking some fields like street no for example!? What means these addresses will miss this information.
What is your recommened way in this case?

when i am doing sales postings by using standard IDOC (ORDERS) i am getting this error "Specify either address number or address handle(AM53)" .
Why this type of errors is come.
Is it xi issue or Functional issue.

Since the problem is happening during processing, there might be something missing in data part or maybe some custom logic issue (if implemented) in ECC.
Another possibility, if PI missed to map Address fields in IDoc segments because of which this issue was encountered.
Please verify these points.
Also, I found similar problem in another thread.

Please check the customer master record.In Customer master record,make sure that you have maintained proper address. Check in VBPA-ADRNR wheather the data is correct or different for bill to party

My problem is i need to give partner address number'ADRNR' in 'partners' ( table parameter).
currently if i will give all the address informations.the bapi itself creating the address number internally....and it is reflecting in 'order_keys' parameter
i want to give the address number externally.as i need to pass only address number 'ADRNR'to the bapi.,so that it will retrive all the address informations what i have created for address number creation.

But ..i require to create externally...because..i need to create single delivery for dwo diffrent line items.those line items have all the inputs same...but it is creating different deliveries.as bapi is considering the same ship to party address for both the line items as different...for that issue..i have tried with putting previously created address number manually....in the partners parameter of bapi...ex:..if i am putting same address number for two different..line items of same values ( same address)...it is creating one delivery which is my requirment....but for the next line item with different shipping address i need to pass different address number....
for this only i need to create externally address number which will populate address information from that 'partners' parameter before entering into the 'sd_sales_document_create'...and i can pass only the partner address number into it...means both of the two line items.....

Problem with vendor address number in LFA1/ADRC

Hi,
We've had a really strange problem occur and we can't find out how it happened. We have two vendors who have somehow started to share the same address number in ADRC (field LFA1-ADRNR contains the same value for both vendors). Both vendors are old and have been on our system for a few years.
We use SRM but I'm told the master data is maintained in R/3 4.7 (although it is possible to maintain it in SRM, we don't use that process).
Can anyone suggest how this could have happened, and moreover, how we can change the address number on one of the vendors to point elsewhere. We can't find any transaction and LFA1 isn't maintainable in SE16.
Really appreciate any help that anyone can offer!

Our addresses should be unique. I've downloaded table LFA1 and we only have two vendors which share the same adress number - and this is an error.
The problem with sharing the address number is if we try to change the address for vendor 1, then the same change applies to vendor 2. This is not correct.
Is it possible that two vendors have somehow become linked like parent and child? Can anyone explain how this could have happened and how we can undo it?
