Getting wrong output of Year in webi Graphs

Hi All,
My requirement is to give year,month,week,day drill in a graph in webi.I have created the objects in universe and given the hirearcy . when i drag the Year object in the graph it is giving me "7/1/05" which is wrong data wereas the year object in the universe level shows "2009". The remaining objects in the hirearchy like month,week and date are giving me the correct data.Please let me if there is any solution for that.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Teja,
Try this if you are DB is Sql Server....
To display month number -Datepart(mm,datefield)
To display month name - datename(mm,datefielf)
To display year - datename(yy,datefield)
To display Week datepart(wk,datefiled)
To display Quarter - datepart(qq,datefiled)
I hope it will help you.
Cheers,

  • Wrong output from filter

    Hi everyone,
    I'm using an equi-ripple bandpass filter for my ECG signal and getting wrong outputs. Any idea why?

    Hi Gerard,
    What kind of wrong outputs are you getting with the filter?  Furthermore what kind of signal are you getting from your ECG signal?  Would it be possible to put the vi on the discussion forum?

  • Cosuming web service using consumer proxy - not getting the output

    Hello All,
    I am not getting the consumer proxy output structue filled though the web service is successfully executed. I did the following steps.
    1. Created a webservice form RFC BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST
    2. Created a consumer proxy for the above created WSDL document.
    3. Tested the service by executing the proxy directly by feeding the input in the XML (sales document and partner view). it is working fine
    4. Created a program to access the consumer proxy by passing the input(same input as per XML). I am not getting the output in the proxy output structure ( but I can see the RFC is successfully executed and having the right values in the debugging mode).
    Is this the issue is due to the date fields (XML cannot consider a blank date )?
    Please note: the partner output table parameter in the bapi (output I am looking for ) is not having any date fields.
    Please help me to sort out this issue.
    Thanks,
    Gopi

    Hi Gopi,
    From your description, I assume you used the SE37 transaction's menu option Utilities -> More Utilities -> Create Web Service -> From the Function Module, to expose the BAPI concerned as a Web Service.
    If this is the case, then it is possible that you are falling foul of your SAP User ID not having the necessary Remote Function Call authorization to execute the BAPI.
    A prerequisite for successfully calling an RFC-enabled Function Module (which is what a BAPI is) is that the User ID used to call the function module must have the required RFC authorization (Authorization Object S_RFC).  For example, when calling function module BAPI_CUSTOMER_GET_ROOT, if the User ID lacks the requisite authorization in the target system, the following error message will be received by the Consuming application:
        User <User ID> has no RFC authorization for function group V02HBAPI.
    Notice, as you can see from the above message, RFC execution authorization is implemented at the Function Group level, not at the Function Module level.  In othere words, granting a user the authorization to a function group (authorization object S_RFC) enables the user to execute all RFC-enabled function modules contained within that function group.
    I am guessing the BAPI works for you in debug mode because you are not calling the BAPI remotely.
    Let me know if this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Andy.

    Hi,
    I am getting the correct output when i am running the standard query 0CQM_PCQMCCSI_Q0001 in the BEX analyzer.I am getting the wrong output if i run the same query through web.
    It is displaying the different key figure and characteristic in the output which is not defined in the query.
    If i copy the same query as Z query and execute it ,it is working fine in both BEX Analyzer and Web.
    Kindly suggest me regarding this.

    I am getting the following error while launching an java web start apllication.

    The java code is as follows:
    SimpleSerial.java
    import java.io.*;
    //import java.lang.*;
    //import java.lang.ClassNotFoundException;
    Interface class for SimpleSerial.
    If you don't know what an interface is, don't worry. An interface defines the functions
    that can be called by implementors of this class. Currently there are two implementors,
    SimpleSerialNative, and SimpleSerialJava. There might be more in the future.
    SimpleSerialNative requires the file "SimpleSerialNative.dll" to be in the same folder as your Java
    project file. It's that simple.
    SimpleSerialJava requires the correct installation of Sun's Javacomm communication package. It's much
    more powerful, but it can be tricky for the newcomer to configure, and use.
    If you have problems with one, why don't you try the other.
    A VERY SIMPLE IMPLEMENTATION:
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    SimpleSerial ss; // delcare the SimpleSerial object
    ss = new SimpleSerialNative(2); // The argument is the commport number. There is no Comm0.
    ss.writeByte((byte)'a'); // write a byte to the serial port
    // Give the PIC chip time to digest the byte to make sure it's ready for the next byte.
    try { Thread.sleep(1); } catch (InterruptedException e) {}
    ss.writeByte((byte)'!'); // write another byte to the serial port
    String inputString = ss.readString(); // read any string from the serial port
    System.out.println("I read the string: " + inputString);
    A few important things to note:
    1. When you write data to the serial port, it just writes the data, whether or not the PIC chip is
    ready to receive data. There's no handshaking or signaling. If you send data and the PIC chip
    isn't ready for it, it will be ignored. Some PIC chips have a hardware UART which will buffer a
    few bytes of data for later retrieval. But this isn't a cure-all. If the buffer fills up, it
    creates an error condition which prevents further data from being read. You need to include
    custom PIC code to reset the error flag.
    2 In contrast to the PIC chip, the computer has a rather large hardware buffer. If the PIC chip
    sends serial data to your computer when you're not around to read it, it gets stored.
    3. If you make a call to readByte(), and there's no data to be read, readByte() waits until there
    is data. If you want to know how much data (if any) is available, make a call to available().
    4. Conversely, if you make a call to readBytes() or readString() and there's no data to be read,
    readBytes() returns a byte array of zero length, and readString() returns and empty string.
    5. If you want to use Sun's JavaComm package instead of this code, subsitute your calls to
    new SimpleSerialNative(2);
    with
    new SImpleSerialJava(2);
    public interface SimpleSerial {
    // These are copied right out of WINBASE.H
    // Most applications should be fine with the defaults.
    public static final int NOPARITY = 0;
    public static final int ODDPARITY = 1;
    public static final int EVENPARITY = 2;
    public static final int MARKPARITY = 3;
    public static final int SPACEPARITY = 4;
    public static final int ONESTOPBIT = 0;
    public static final int ONE5STOPBITS = 1;
    public static final int TWOSTOPBITS = 2;
    Returns the number of bytes available at the time of this call.
    It's possible there are more bytes by the time readByte() or
    readBytes() is executed. But there will never be fewer.
    public int available();
    public void waitForData(int n);
    public boolean writeString(String string);
    returns TRUE if port is fully operationsal
    returns FALSE if there is a problem with the port
    public boolean isValid();
    Be sure to close your serial port when done. Note that port is
    automatically closed on exit if you don't close it yourself
    public void close();
    Reads a single byte from the input stream.
    Return value will be from -128 to 127 (inclusive)
    If no data at serial port, waits in routine for data to arrive.
    Use available() to check how much data is available.
    If error, returns 256.
    public int readByte();
    Reads all the bytes in the serial port.
    If no bytes availble, returns array with zero elements.
    Never waits for data to arrive
    public byte[] readBytes();
    Reads bytes from serial port and converts to a text string.
    DO NOT use this routine to read data. Char->Byte converstion
    does strange things when the values are negative. For non-
    text values, use readBytes() above
    public String readString();
    Writes a single byte to the serial port.
    This writes the data, whether the PIC is ready to receive or not.
    Be careful not to overwhelm the PIC chip with data.
    On pics without a hardware UART, the data will be ignored.
    On pics with a hardware UART, overflowing will loose data AND require
    the UART on the PIC to be reset. You can reset the UART in PIC code,
    or manually turn the PIC off and then on.
    NOTE: A byte has a value in the range of -128 to 127
    NOTE: If you want to write a character, you need to cast it to a byte,
    for example: simpleSerial.writeByte((char)'b');
    public boolean writeByte(byte val);
    For more advanced use. Gets the input stream associated with serial port
    public InputStream getInputStream();
    For more advanced use. Gets the output stream associated with serial port
    public OutputStream getOutputStream();

    Notes:
    1) Please use the code tags when posting code or JNLP/HTML. It helps to retain indentation and avoids asterisks and plus sings being interpreted as formatting marks. To do that, select the code/JNLP etc. and click the CODE button seen on the Plain Text tab of the message posting form.
    2) That launch file is invalid. You might check it (and the project in general) using JaNeLA.
    3) The only place that SimpleSerial class could be, that the JRE would find, is in the root of aeon.jar. Is it actually there?

  • NOOB Question - Cannot seem to get the output in a text or CSV file - Please help!!

    I was able to put together a script which finds members of a certain AD group, filters down the users, and then calculates the number of days till a password reset is needed.  I am able to get on screen exactly what i am looking for, but cannot seem
    to figure out how to get the same data to a file.  What i am doing wrong?  two goals here:
    1.  Create a spreadsheet with a list of users whose password is about to expire.
    2.  Down the line automate an email to users whose password is about to expire.
    Here is my code:
    ## Get List Of Users in Password Change Lockout that do not have an expired password or a password that never expires
    $Names = (Get-ADGroupMember -Identity "Password Change Lockout" -Recursive |`
    Get-ADUser -Properties * |`
    Where-Object {$_.PasswordNeverExpires -eq $False -and $_.PasswordExpired -eq $False} |`
    Sort-Object name |Select-Object -ExpandProperty SamAccountName)
    ## Get Password last Set values for all
    Foreach ($Name in $Names)
    $VAR1 = (Get-ADUserResultantPasswordPolicy -Identity $Name).MaxPasswordAge
    $VAR2 = (Get-ADUser $Name -Properties *).passwordlastset
    $VAR3 = (Get-ADUser $Name -Properties *).name
    $DTPC = (New-TimeSpan -Start (Get-Date) -End ($VAR2 + $VAR1) | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Days)
    Filter users to those who need to change thier password in 15 days.
    If ($DTPC -lt 15)
    No matter what i try between the {} after the If statement, I cannot get the output to a file.  However, if I use a Write-Output I get exactly what i looking for.  I feel like i am forgetting some basic concept and could really use some help.  Thanks.
    Matt
    Matt Dillon

    Hi Matt,
    I generally create an empty array (something like $out = @()) at the top of the script and then use $out += $desiredOutput inside of the foreach loop.
    Outside of the loop, you can then pipe $out to Out-File or Export-Csv, depending on your needs.

    (p_words in varchar2, -- words to be translated
    p_to in varchar2 , -- language to translate to
    p_from in varchar2 ) -- language to translate from
    is
    l_res varchar2(2000);
    l_words varchar2(2000);
    txt varchar2(2000);
    begin
    txt:=utl_url.escape(l_words);
    l_words:=regexp_substr(httpuritype('http://translate.google.co.in/?hl=en&tab=wT#'||p_from||'/'||p_to|| txt).getclob(),'"(.*?)"',1,1,null,1);
    Dbms_output.put_line( l_words);
    end;
    While converting from polish language to english language I get the output as
    SQL> exec trans_new_prc1('hen','pl','en');
    text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2
    But i need the exact string in polish language, which i am not getting. Please guide me.
    Even while converting it into chinese language, i get the following message
    SQL> exec trans_new_prc1('hen','zh-CN','en');
    text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2
    Please guide me to get the output exactly in chinese language.

    I think the problem is, google translate is not giving that info with this URL ! I removed REGEXP_SUBSTR and get all html code from HTTPURITYPE, in returned code, there is no translated word info!
    for the code
      exec trans_new_prc1('hen','ENGLISH','AUTO');result is:

  • I can't get the file attachment in a web form to work

    I have a web form made in Business Catalyst that I'm having some problems with. I have added a file attachment option, but I can't get this to work properly.
    When a user chooses a file and sends the form, the message that is being sent includes the name of the file that was attached, but not the file itself! What am I doing wrong?
    This is the web form (in Norwegian, but you get the idea of where the file upload is) In this form, the file "produktark_plusstjenester.pdf" has been attached.
    The e-mail that is being sent now looks like this (I have removed the private information). But as you can see, it mentions the file produktark_plusstjenester.pdf (94,45 kb), but it is not attached in the e-mail itself.
    Hope someone can clarify this for me

    File on web forms is attached to the case. Go to the case in the admin and you can retrieve the file.

  • How to get rid of compounded keys on WebI report

    Hello,
    I am (very) new to Business Objects and Web Intelligence, and have created a Universe on a BW multicube.<br />
    When I setup the WebI report doc, the Fiscal year (and Fiscal Period/year) are showing with the Fiscal Variant as a prefix (e.g. Z3/2009). <br /> <br />
    Using a formula to 'strip' the characteristic to 2009 confuses the data (as there is no 'key' of 2009, only Z3/2009).
    Filtering by Fiscal Variant (the Z3 part) doesn't seem to change things, or even putting the fiscal variant in as a column (these techniques used to work quite nicely in Bex and Web Bex).<br />
    Is there some magic I have missed in the Universe building process (which I have purposefully kept very simple, as there are plenty of these to build!!).<br /> <br />
    I am sure folks have seen (and sovled) this before, as Fiscal Year (and Fiscal Period/year) must be used often, and these are standard SAP time fields.<br />
    However, i can find nothing in help or even forums (perhaps I am not searching for correct key words).<br /> <br />
    I haven't tried building the universe off a Bex Query, and am kind of reluctant to do this, as it builds in another layer to maintain.<br /> <br />
    Anyone know how to get rid of the compounded part of the (fiscal year) objects?<br /> <br />
    Your help and comments are much appreciated.<br /> <br />
    Regards,<br />
    Martin.

    Hi Ingo,
    I am also facing the same problem.
    I have an object Showing (TR/1223xxxx). I was able to remove "TR/" in bex by dragging the compunded object in Rows section and supressing it to "No Display" but in Webi I am still getting (TR/1223xxxx).
    In Webi if I create a formula and trim the above value, i am getting "#UNAVAILABLE" in Key Figures, i.e. measures (smar Measures)
    Is there a way to get rid of this compunded value.
    One more requirement, in Bex Query, I am giving dislay as "Key and Text" but in Webi, i get only "Text" for that object. I have to explicitply drag and use the Object - key (detail object of that particular dimension). Is there a way to get both Key and Text in Webi using a single object.
    Kindly help. Thank You!

  • Not getting any output when running the Webservice through Xacute

    hai all,
    I am using a transaction as web service to be called in another transaction in the same server. I can see the output of the web service in the tracer, when I execute it in the BLS. But if I run the same transaction via xacute query I am not getting any output. I had read in one of the threads that reference document has to be assigned. I tried doing that also, but no luck. Can somebody pls. throw some light on how to use reference document & whether it is required in my case?
    Thanks,
    vidhya

    Hai Rick,

  • I cannot get the Output Module to work. I was able to get the button to show up, but when I click on it, nothing happens. i need to export a PDF asap

    I cannot get the Output Module to work. I was able to get the button to show up, but when I click on it, nothing happens. i need to export a PDF asap. I am trying to export 33 PSD files in BRIDGE to a PDF like I used to do on my other computer with bridge.

    Let's start with the general things.
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

    And Actually i am trying to generate this output format type because , wer are using Zebra Printer to print lable and it is a XML enabled bprinter and understand this specifice XML DTD type. We found when set Output type to XML, it was not generating XML in accordance with DTD which Zebra printer understand Hence we are tring to use TEXT output.
    Please suggest.

    I get the solution for this issue.
    The solution is to use XML Publisher etext temaplate.
    Etext is used to get text output in any format.

  • Getting month from Calendar Year/month...

    Dear All,
    I'm using Webi 4.0 SP6 and I need to get months from Calendar Year/Month which I'm using in a query to display on Cross Table along with brands.
    1. Is there any standard function available to convert Calandar Year/Month (Say: 201401 to Jan or January).?
    2. How can I get month from Calendar Year/Month for cross-table?
    I will appreciate your reply.
    Many Thanks!!!
    Tariq Ashraf

    Tariq,
    Month =  Substr([Cal Year];5;2)
    Month Name = If Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "01" then "Jan"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "02" then "Feb"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "03" then "Mar"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "04" then  "Apr"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "05" then  "May"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "06" then  "Jun"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "07" then   "Jul"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "08" then  "Aug"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "09" then   "Sep"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "10" then   "Oct"
                             else if Substr([Cal Year];5;2) = "11" then  "Nov" else "Dec"
    If you have data like 20140101 then simply use = formatdate([Date];"Mon")
