Group by in Jquey in SharePoint designer.

Dear All,
I am trying following jquery for getting all task status of specific user. I want to group by by status and percentage should be calculated as per group by status.
Can anyone please tell me how to group by by Status ?
Expected Result:
Status           Percentage   AssignedTo
In Progress   50%              Harish
Completed    60%              Harish
Unassigned  10%              Harish
Query:
$().SPServices({
                operation: method,
                async: false,  //if you set this to true, you may get faster performance, but your order may not be accurate.
                listName: list,
                CAMLViewFields: fieldsToRead,
                  CAMLQuery: query,
                      //this basically means "do the following code when the call is complete"
                    completefunc: function (xData, Status) {
                        //this code iterates through every row of data returned from the web service call
                        $(xData.responseXML).SPFilterNode("z:row").each(function() {
                            //get the title field (Speaker's Name)
                            var Status = ($(this).attr("ows_Status"));
                              //alert(Status);
                            var PercentComplete = ($(this).attr("ows_PercentComplete"));
                            //alert(PercentComplete);
                            var AssignedTo=$(this).attr("ows_AssignedTo");
                                 //alert(AssignedTo);
                            arr.push(Status);
                            arr1.push(PercentComplete);
Thanks,
Harish

    Hi,
    If you want to use Radio button instead of Dropdown list for the Group by selection, we can use JavaScript to generate the Radio buttons and hide the Dropdown list. When there
    is a selection made on Radio buttons, we will trigger the change event of the Dropdown list and filter the Data Form with the corresponding value.

  • Sharepoint Designer always crashes when using the Sharepoint people/group picker in a Workflow

    SharePoint designer 2013 (sp1) crashes consistently when doing the following:
    Create workflow
    Create email action
    In the email To field select People/Groups from SharePoint site
    SharePoint Designer crashed and says "Microsoft SharePoint Designer has stopped working"
    This issue has been reported before in SharePoint 2010 on TechNet as a bug in the software, but with no proper resolution.  I am very surprised that it is still an issue in 2013 version (sp1 which was released Feb 2014) and Microsoft have not tried
    to address this.
    I have read elsewhere that the fix for this is to only have a single IIS binding for the site being used (ie not have additional alternate access mappings).  However this is not possible for us as we need the additional alternate access mappings.
    Any help/suggestions gratefully received.

  • List view web part not reflecting changes made to list view in SharePoint Designer

    Dear All,
    When adding a list view web part containing a view modified in SharePoint designer (e.g. conditional formatting applied, or group headers modified) I'm finding that the changes made in SPD are not reflected in the web part.
    For example, I go into SPD edit a view, and the view appears correctly when I go back into SharePoint, however when I link to the view within a list view web part it results in losing the changes made in SPD.
    Becasue it's a publishing page I'm unable to edit the contents of the web part in SPD.
    I'm sure this is expected behavior but how do I get around this?

  • SharePoint Designer 2013 workflow - creating new items in the list

    Hi,
    I need to create a workflow in SharePoint designer 2013. Basically the flow is like that:
    There is a Request List where people submit their requests. The requests have status: Submitted and Completed.
    Once the status goes to 'Completed" there should be a workflow triggered that creates an entry in another list; VoC list and populate VoC columns. Additionally there should be an email send to the requestor that the request has been processed.
    I tried to do that but I failed - what do I do wrong? It keeps telling me that there is an error in workflow.
    Could you, please help me? Thank you.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Jowita

    With this command it populated the Voc list. But when I tried to add additional fields, the workflow did not work. Fo example, I've got a column "Requestors Name" in Request List and I would like the same column in Voc List to be automatically
    populated with the data from Requestors List. I set Field Requestors name to Value Current item:Requestors name but it did not work :-(
    What do you mean by "VoC column is already created in VoC list"?
    And one additional question: is it possible for the workflow to automatuically create new columns in the VoC list?
    Hi Jowita,
    We could use workflow to populate values in column but not populate new columns, so the column should be created in list manually before workflow.
    As I understand now, you need to use workflow to populate at least two columns in another list, and one is person or people type. I captured a screenshot for your reference, pp column is in person or group type in both two lists, please set return
    type as Display name:

  • How to see/use Target Audience column in SharePoint Designer Workflow (SharePoint 2013 Online, Designer Workflow)

    Hello,
    I'm attempting to use use the Target Audiences field in a SPD 2013 workflow, in this case just attempting to log the value to history for testing purposes.  This is failing saying the column does not exist.
    I enabled Audience Targeting on the list then create a simple workflow to log the value to history when the item changes.
    I change an item and the workflow starts, but when it gets to any action looking at "Current Item:Target Audiences" it stops and says:
    HTTP BadRequest to <site url>/_api/web/lists(guid'XXXXXXXX')/Items(4)?%24select=ID%2CTarget_x0020_Audiences
    The field or property 'Target_x0020_Audiences' does not exist.
    But it does.  It is listed in the list setting and enabled for the content type.
    I ran the listed API through an API program and sure enough, Target Audience is not listed in the results object.
    I'm 99% sure I've enabled this and that the field is present and the workflow is valid.  I ran the same situation on two lists to ensure it wasn't a hiccup, same results.
    Is this a know issue?  I couldn't find anything obvious online saying you cannot see this field via workflow, most of what i found said this would work.
    Thanks an advance for any input.

    Thanks so much Lisa, for the clarification.
    I understand what you have explained, and have seen several similar explanations that have lead to my confusion.  Can you elaborate a bit, maybe for the sake of future information seekers?
    I understand that audiences can be defined using the rules operations in Central Admin, but it seems another standard function is to just directly assign existing SharePoint groups.  I think this is what you mean above, but this is also the point of
    my misunderstanding.
    In this particular setup I have only used existing SharePoint groups with no audiences defined in Central Admin.  List Item A has a target audience of SharePoint group X, just that simple of a setup.
    Assuming the above is valid, I would then like to see or alter the groups via SPD workflow.
    Based on the following posts, I was under the impression this may be possible (but obviously not fully clear and thus I posted this):
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/5eb984ba-55a3-4da7-a904-c34b2fece84c/how-do-i-set-the-target-audience-using-sharepoint-designer-workflow
    http://www.sharepoint-tips.com/2011/01/setting-target-audiences-with-code.html
    (sorry about lack of links, my account must still require verification)
    So in SPD, I set a simple action such as "Log Current Item:Target Audience to history" (note the I am able to select target audience in SPD like any other field with no errors).  At this point I am assuming everything is valid as SPD is treating
    the field like any other string field.  When executed the error in the above post comes up.
    So to confirm your explanation, this is not supported?  Even though the field is available for selection by design, it is not capable of use and known to produce errors in all cases of its use?  The first post above is 100% wrong and you cannot
    use SPD to set/view the target audience field?  The second post is also wrong as it seems to present the fields as available for alteration using string concatenation?
     If in fact the field is present by design, but also impossible to use by design, is this potentially a bug as the field is not supposed to be available if it will always produce the error when used with no error in SPD during compile?
    Thank you again for the reply and I hope we might be able to provide a rock solid answer to this for future seekers.

  • Workflow Manager and SharePoint Designer publishing error

    Hello all,
    I'm hoping for some help in fixing this issue.
    I've been trying to publish a workflow using SharePoint Designer only to find that I get this error:
    "Errors were found when compilint the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run."
    After clicking on the advanced button it shows error:
    System.InvalidOperationException: Operation failed with error Microsoft.Workflow.Client.WorkflowCommunicationException: The request was aborted: The request was canceled. Client ActivityId : 6a78ad9c-6ac6-f03a-0680-003bd46e5f68. ---> System.Net.WebException:

    Ensure that the target endpoint address supports SSL and try again.
    Target endpoint address:
    Note: the message cuts off after the "Target endpoint address".
    Looking on the SharePoint server, when I try and pull up the Workflow Manager site (https://localhost:12290/) I get this response:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <Code>AuthorizationError</Code><message><Message>The caller does not have the necessary
    permissions required for this operation. Permissions granted: None. Required permissions: ReadScope.</Message></message></Error>
    I am running this farm with HTTPS and I have registered the SP workflow service with the appropriate application. I have also set the Workflow Management Site bindings in IIS to utilize the same certificate as the default SharePoint site.
    At this point, I don't know if the error that I received from Designer is related to the Site error, although I do know that I also have a Development environment that is able to publish workflows just fine. However, this farm uses HTTP rather than HTTPS
    so I can only assume that the differences are what's causing the issue. I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks!

    Hi,
    As I understand, you encountered the issue when you published a workflow on SharePoint 2013 workflow platform.
    I wonder does it work well before when using 2013 workflow platform? If it works before, did you install any updates or change the configuration to the workflow related settings?
    If this is the first time after you installed workflow manager 2013, then I’d recommend you try re-registering workflow service per the link below and post the result:

  • SharePoint Designer Workflow to email multiple recipients listed in a custom list

    Hi all,
    I created a workflow in designer attached to a form library. I also have a custom list "Admins" containing names of persons that serves a different purpose but would also like to be used as recipients for the workflow email everytime a new item in the
    form library is created.
    I have been searching the net and tried out few work arounds but so far able to send to only one person in the "Admins" list. The list has a column "Admin Name" which is of type "Person or Group".
    Thanks in advance!

    You will not be able to do this specific task with SharePoint Designer workflows.  Like you stated, it can only target a specific value, based on the value in anoter column.  The easiest work-around would be to create a SharePoint security group
    that contains the users, then target that group in the Send Email action.  Just make sure that the group is configured for membership to be visible by all users.  I know it is not ideal to manage information twice, but this is a limitation of SharePoint

  • Granting access to SharePoint Designer on a SubSite but not the Site Collection

    Is it safe in SharePoint 2010 to give a user the ability to use SharePoint Designer on a SubSite of a Site Collection and not give them permission, other than Visitor access, to the root Site Collection (Parent Site collection)?
    Most importantly, I want to make sure the only damage a user can do is to their own subsite, and not do anything that will impact the Site Collection.
    I created a test user and granted it FULL access on a test subsite and only view on the parent site collection and was able to use designer logged in as the test user.  I was able to modify the subsite pages and create workflow.  I was not expecting
    this to work based on the following statement in KB article
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2592376
    Overall, an user needs to be a member of one of the following groups at the site collection
    level to be able to use SharePoint Designer and modify SharePoint content:
    - Site Collection Administrators
    - Designers
    - Owners
    Does anyone have any advice on this?
    Thanks!

    I think I just found out why in SharePoint 2010 I'm able to give a user "Designer" permissions on a subsite and "Read"  only permission on the parent Site Collection root site and they can still use SharePoint Designer with
    no permission issues in the subsite.
    http://suehernandez.wordpress.com/2013/02/15/sharepoint-designer-2010-you-do-not-have-permission-to-do-this-operation/
    From the Article: "Turns out the reason for these varying behaviors is this:  In 2007, new sites would automatically inherit their
    master pages from their parents.  If you made no changes to that, it inherited right up to the top.  So it’s looking at the master page from the top, in those circumstances.  And as we’ve seen here, if you don’t have Design permissions to it,
    it doesn’t work.
    In the case of a new 2010 site (just a regular Team Site), the new 2010 behavior is to use the Master Page in the gallery it has in its own site.  And since the user is an Administrator (Full Control) of that
    site, then no problem getting to the Master Page!"
    Does anyone have any experience with this?

  • Caml query to check current logged in user - SharePoint designer

    Hi,

    If the logged in user (current user) is a member of a specific group. e.g. Group Name = ISS Owners, ID=5

    CAML Query – Membership attribute
    Kindly help in resolving caml query issue.
    Anandhan.S Remember to 'mark or propose as answer' or 'vote as helpful' as appropriate.

    The second condition is pretty straightforward
    <Eq>
    <FieldRef Name="AssignedTo"/>
    <Value Type="Integer">
    <UserID />
    </Value>
    </Eq>
    but I don't think you can do the former. The <Membership> condition can only be applied to a <FieldRef>, not a generic <Value> argument.
    But what would be the purpose of the first condition in the first place? It's invariant, not related to specific list items. Or is the requirement to return all items if the user is a member of a group (Administrators?), but only assigned-To items if not:
    If so, is there some way you can refactor the check for the former condition into some higher level logic?

    Hi,

    actions to get Approver's name but none of them giving Approver's name, all are them giving Item creater's name only.
    1. Workflow Context: Current User
    2. Current Item : Modified By
    3. Task Process: Item Modified By
    Can anybody help me out to resolve this issue?
    Thank you,
    AA.

    Hi AA,
    As I understand, you created an approval workflow and assigned it to multiple accounts. And you would like to get approver’s name in the workflow.
    I tested the issue via creating an approval workflow and assigned it to everyone, then I logged in as another account and approved the task. When I accessed workflow history list via
    http://sitename/Lists/Workflow%20History/AllItems.aspx . I found approver’s name in one of the items. Then I returned to Approval task, and found out that [%Current Task:Modified By%] stored
    the approver’s name.
    You could use [%Current Task:Modified By%] parameter to get approver’s name. Please go to
     Approval process in your workflow and change the behavior of a single task, then you could get it per the reference below. If you would like to use it in workflow, you could set a workflow variable to it and use the workflow variable.

  • Add an MSSQL "Linked" Server Object as a Data Source in Sharepoint Designer

    This is a hard question to research as there are "Linked Data Sources" in SharePoint Designer.  NOT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. :)
    In Microsoft SQL Server you can create Linked Databases.  I'd like to find a way to use a Linked Database as a Data Source in SharePoint Designer.
    Why?
    A common question in SharePoint Communities is how to go about adding an Oracle Database connection in SharePoint.  I am attempting to discover a way of linking an Oracle DB to MSSQL and then connecting SharePoint Designer to MMSQL.  I do this
    with the hopes I'd get more control over development in SharePoint Designer.  Right now it is painful to use Oracle as a Data Source.
    David Jenkins

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add an Oracle Database connection in SharePoint.
    It is recommend to use the business connectivity services to connect to the Oracle database.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff464424(v=office.14).aspx
    http://sharepointjournals.wordpress.com/2011/06/06/business-connectivity-services-bcs-with-oracle-using-visual-studio-2010-part-1/
    You can also use the Oracle database as data source directly instead of use a linked server.
    In the SharePoint Designer, click Data Sources tab in the Ribbon, in the New group, click Database Connection.
    Then you can configure the database connection to the Oracle database.
