Have to PURCHASE additional microcell to get service to work in my home? REALLY!!!???
I've been an AT&T customer for awhile, gone from 1 to 3 mobile "lines" but this really bugs me. Ihave poor quality reception of the cell signal in my home, sometimes missing calls and texts unless I walk around and get lucky or go outside. I am being told a microcell will most likely, and I believe them fix my issue. Unfortunately, for the priveledge of being an AT&T mobile customer for years I must PURCHASE equipment myself in order for my mobile devices to work in my home. So again, for the lack of signal strength throughout most of my neighborhood, I have purchase equipment for AT&T shortfalls? Funny, a neighboor had the same issue with another carrier and in a few days a FREE similar device was delivered to the door and once installed his phones work beautifully.Like AT&T otherwise and loyal customer, but perhaps time to shop around?

All iPads are Wifi, so it will work fine when you have a wifi connection. If you have a 3G iPad and it is AT&T, requiring a microsim, you can purchase prepaid sim cards from a carrier in Italy. If you have a Verizon iPad 2, it uses CDMA, which is very unlikely supported in Italy, whereas AT&T is GSM, which is widely supported around the world.

Do you have iCloud configured on the iPhone and on the MacBook Air? If not, you'll want to do that for seamless transferring of contacts between the two devices. If you have an iCloud account already, set it up on the phone first. If you do not have an iCloud account I'd recommend signing up for one on the computer first as it's easier to navigate the setup screens. Once iCloud is setup on both machines the contacts will automatically sync (faster if the iPhone is on wireless).
Regarding email, you'll need to ensure the email on the iPhone is configured for IMAP/Exchange. You'll then want to configure that same account in Apple Mail (or whatever email program you intend to use on the MacBook Air). -

You'll need to purchase the new Apple TV to play 1080p video. The 2010 Apple TV was only capable of displaying 720p video.

I just updated my phone and it is now stuck with usb cable and itunes logo and itunes on my computer says I have to restore. Can I get my phone working again without loosing my photos?
There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

When I upgraded to 10.7.4 I lost the ability to use a lot of my previous software that was intel based. My Adobe suites for example. So for $29 i now have to spend $1000's to get these to work. What has changed with Mountian Lion. I am not rich?
The reason your applications do not work in Lion/Mountain Lion is that they were written for the older PowerPC CPU that all Macs used up to 2006. When Apple made its transition to the Intel CPU, they licensed software that they included in all versions of OS X (from Tiger to Leopard and optionally, Snow Leopard) called Rosetta.
Rosetta miraculously allows PowerPC applications to work on the Intel processor transparently; you do not know it is even present.
The problem is that after 6 years of the transition, Apple's license to use the underlying software expired for OS X Lion and all version thereafter (and it is doubtful that the current owner of the software, IBM, would relicense it, even if Apple were inclined to do so).
So you do not have to accept recriminations from others for previously using Rosetta without even knowing it was present and running!
So for those of use that need to upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion, I have offered the option to install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7:

If you are unable or unwilling to update your inventory of PowerPC software, this solution offers you an alternative for not more than the $29 cost of Snow Leopard and $79 cost of Parallels (cheaper via internet sources).

Do you have to purchase through iTunes to get Extras?
I purchased Star Trek through my ATV and I don't see any of the extras. Am I missing something. Would be lame if you have to purchase through iTunes on your Mac to get the Extras.
I see now how to access the Extras. Didn't know you had the play the movie to get the menu where Extras are included. Very weird.

2nd Hand iPod just purchased but can't get it to work on PC - help!?
I have just purchased a 2nd hand Ipod Nano 4GB 3rd generation. It is loaded with a 1000 songs but I would like to remove some of them and add my own. When I connect it to my PC, it comes up but everything is greyed out. Does this mean I can't do anything with it except listen to whats on there? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)
