Having problems with my HP C4280 photosmart printer Please help

For the last few days my C4280 has been acting weird,I go to print something very basic and it starts to print then stops then starts again then stops keeps doing this until its done with what I am trying to print. I have unplugged it and have uninstalled and reinstalled has not helped at all. What is wrong with my printer?:

Also it does this when I am just making a copy . Also like I said when printing something say my work schedule things like that it starts to print then pauses then prints the pauses til its done printing a simple paper. Its like its waiting for something thats all I can think of to ask for help. Do I need to just go buy a new printer???

HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OS 10.6.8 PRINTING WITH XEROX PHASER. MacPro crashes when printer warms up. Does anyone have a solution? 6360 DN

I've been using Macs since 1984. Have been using Xerox Phaser printers for ten years. But with the last update to OS 10.6.8 last summer, I've had problems with crashing when printing. My MacPro crashes when printing via ethernet prot with Xerox Phaser 6360DN or when the printer warms up. Worked fine with OS 10.6.7. Internet postings suggest this is a common problem for all Mac users with Xerox Phaser printers. Apple put out an update to 10.6.8 to address the problem. I downloaded it but it did not solve the problem. Have tried all the Xerox drivers along with Apple drivers. Can't solve the problem. Xerox says it's an Apple problem. Does anyone KNOW how to solve the problem?

Having Problems with 10.5.57? Then Please Read!

If you've installed the 10.5.7 update and are having problems there are some possible remedies. Most often the problems are created by an existing problem in the system that is updated. Here are some things to do that could help:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Download the 10.5.7 Combo Updater and reinstall the update. Prior to installation remove all third-party peripherals. Use only the original keyboard and mouse that came with your computer.
3. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder and repair permissions again.
If this does not solve your problems, then you need to restore the backup of your old system, then follow the above instructions. If that doesn't solve your problem, then you may need to reinstall OS X from scratch or have your computer checked for possible hardware failure.

Having problems with my new iPod touch can you help me a first time user?

I cannot locate my photos in the iTunes library, I have no problem with the Music entry, is there something I have to do to create a library entry?
Also I do not get the photo folders only the individual photos in one large file (3500+) good quality but not good for specific look up, again is there anything I need to do to have folder organization?
I'd appreciate any help that I can get, and would thank any particant in advance

Hi Kappy. I have located the photo files from the sync to my ipod, by the way I am a Windows XP user, and what is showing is a file called 'ipod Photo Cache' which contains folders which have the photo conversions of what is in my 'My Pictures' folder, this cache folder follows at the end of my photo library content.
The cache folder files have an extension of .thumb these are conversions for the ipod and appear to change when I delete or modify any photo in my library and to further complicate things these photos (.JPG format) have an intermediate conversion to a (.cpt format)which are contained within my photo library folders. None of this bothers me since I have my photos on the ipod which is of great value to me.
Thanks for your efforts on my behalf, I will now let this rest and proceed to other new challenges in the ipod world.

HT1414 I am having a problem with a black screen.. Please HELP

I am having black screen issues. Have tried all the resets and no luck. I hear it but cant see anything. I called support and they said pay more money for it to get resolved. I cant see paying money for something i dont ffeel i caused. I left it charging and went out for several hours and came back to a black screen now its gonna cost 149.99 for telephone support that may or may not resolve the issue. Funny the first time I called them it started working again andthe price to get support at that time was 119.99 then they proceeded argue with me that it was not fixed and i would have to pay them to fix it. The darn thing is only 8 months old never been scratched dropped or abused in any way. Someone please help me get his apple ipad working for my daughter. This is her fun she doesnt do much else and i cant seem to figure out what is wrong with it...It is still under warranty and they say just to send it in is going to cost 99.99. I feel im being taken advantage of by the support comapny apple uses....

After selecting the Crop Tool you should see a little icon in the Options bar that allows you to select what kind of grid overlay you'd like while cropping, along with some options that define when to show it...

Having a big problem with my 6 day old macbook, please help!

My macbook was working fine, I haven't had much of a chance to install the hardware that came with it until tonight though. I was starting to install the first disk that came with my macbook, when I saw that it would take over 3 hours to install. SInce I need to go to bed early I decided to cancel and figured I could start tomorrow after work.
Well, I turned my mac back on to see if it was still alright, and my mac hd is missing off the desktop, it doesn't even show the main toolbar/taskbar that's across the top of the screen unless I'm in safari. A message keeps coming up that says spotlight quit unexpectedly. I tried hitting all three options (ignore, report, and restart) different times and the window still keeps coming up.
I put the disk back in my computer to see if I could just start to install it again but the computer isn't even recognizing that there is a disk in there.
PLEASE HELP ME!! This is a brand new computer and I can't afford for it to break.

I hope you invested in AppleCare. It extends your warranty for three years and also gives you three years of phone support. MacBooks come ready to use, as far as I know. The discs that come with it contain software, not "hardware" are provided in case of problems. Take your MacBook back to the Applestore and they will take care of the problem. If it is unfixable, they will replace your MacBook, but you only have fifteen days, after which, they will repair your MacBook, but not replace it (unless it is totally FUBAR) Your sales person should have explained all this to you. I'm having problems with my new Vision:M too. Help Ple

I just received a new Vision M which was purchased from an online retailer. My first disappointment was the absence of a charger that plugs into the wall. All that is provided is the USB cable.
I installed the software on my computer (Windows XP Pro) and connected the Vision M as instructed; and nothing. It's not charging, nothing lights up and it shows no signs of life. I tried various USB cables and ports with no different results.
Have I overlooked anything? Why doesn't this thing start up, or start charging? My next step will be to repeat this process on a different computer.
Please help. I have only 7 days to return this device it turns out to be defecti've.

ok new zen vision m needs 5+hrs charging to have enough power for your PC to recognise it. a wall charger would help, especially for new zen. in meantime, ensure your PC is having the preferred system requirements using this tool

I am having trouble with the jQuery tabs browser. Please help!!!!!!!!

I inserted the jQuery tabs browser and it is not working properly. I was just testing it so I haven't changed some of the coding yet or the wording. The problem is that when I test it in live view it shows actual tabs but when I look it up on the remote server it shows the word tab and then has paragraphs under each word. I want the tabs. Not sure what to do. Anybody please help. I am getting very close to my launch date. Thank you ahead of time.

     When we tried to migrate our application from Tomcat 4.0.4 to Tomcat 4.1.10, we found that the relative path references like ../xyz/ab.jsp are not properly interpreted by Netscape and the url seen on the address bar is something like this (http://www.sww.com/../xyz/ab.jsp. Also dynamic jsp forwarding support seems to have changed. While forwarding, the dynamic parameters attached are automatically url encoded. We have tested our application on Tomcat 4.0.4, there were no such issues. Since we have used these sort of things in many places in our application it will be difficult for us to change in all those places. Can anybody tell us what we can do about it?

When I run http://www.xyz.com/swiz/test.jsp with the above code, the url is displayed http://www.xyz.com/swiz/../sebase/common_login.jsp in Netscape address bar when the application is run on tomcat 4.1.10. With Internet explorer and opera, it reads http://www.xyz.com/sebase/common_login.jsp. But on Tomcat 4.0.4, there is no problem even with Netscape. Since we are tracking the urls in many places in our application, we are having problem because of the above said type of url interpretation.

SMS Problems with 10.1.0.4181 - Enterprise, please help!!

A number of our users are having trouble with SMS messaging since installing 10.1.0.4181. Users are all Z10s on Telus, using ActiveSync (not running a BES).
SMS messaging will freeze up randomly, and not allow users to send messages. Messages can be received, but not read or replied to. If you try to go into a conversation through either the hub or the Text Icon on the home screen, the conversation does not display. The screen appears blank, and tapping on the message box causes the keyboard to appear and the message box to disappear. Further, it appears to be stuck on the most recent conversation. (i.e. If you try to open a previous conversation with a different person, it isn't possible).
Anyone else having this problem? It doesn't seem to get fixed by refreshing the hub, doing a complete restart, or pulling the battery.
Can we roll back, or will a fix be available soon?

OK, if your OS is indeed 10.1.0.4181 and your radio is 10.1.0.4634, according to BBerry you have a misaligned radio. People have been having issues with this update. Your radio should probably be 10.1.0.4182.

Problem with zen-nano-plus!! please help

i have the zen-nano-plus 52mb. and i try to update the firmware with latest version but i don't delete the music files in it.
i have started the instalation and the program asked me to delete the files on zen. (i didn't care keeping the files, so i continue the instalation)
when the program began to delete the files, after in few seconds i received an error messege from windowsoperating system reported error. the limit time on semaphore it's over.) now i have an 0.00.00 firmware version and i can't use the zen-nano because it's not starting. i have tried with the recovery tool but same situation it happend again. please help me if anybody knows something!!!!

Go to Creative.com and click the Support link. Look for the firmware driver for your Zen Nano and follow the directions. I had to do this to fix my Zen Nano Plus, because it had the exact same problem that yours had.

Problem with my ipods audio!! Please help!

When I play any audio on my ipod, it usually only comes through one earbud. Even if the headphones are brand new, and in perfect working order. My brother has a perfect working set of headphones, and when he uses them with his ipod, they work perfectly. Then when I plug them into my ipod, the sound only comes through 1 earbud (the right side). Then if I lightly pinch to the upper right of the click wheel (right under the screen), it will start to work. But I sometimes have to pinch in different places. What could be the problem???? Do I have to send it in to be repaired? Please help!!!

Problem with XP/Vista Network...please help

Hi. I have been trying all day to configure my new network. I am using a wired wrt54g on a vista pc and using a wmp54g wireless adapter on my xp pc. I can connect to the internet from both pc's so the network connection is there. The problem is that the two pc's cannot see each other?! For about 10 minutes they were both on the map but when I tried to share files and a printer I lost it. I cannot get them to see each other now no matter what I try. Please help. I am new to all this.

In Vista go to adaptor properties choose tcp/ip click advance then wins and enable netbios over tcp/ip. Vista should see the other network computers when check workgroup if you have set up network properly. Graphically if you want to see the xp computer on vista have to download lltd to all xp computers. this worked for me. Did a restore point in case before.

Problem with I-Trigue 3400 (static)! Please help!

Alright, I bought my first set of I-Trigue 3400s about 2 weeks ago. Less than a few hours after using them, static started to come through the right speaker. This would happen intermittently for the next 2 days before I decided to exchange them. I was told it must of been a manufacturing defect and not to worry.
Well, I got a 2nd set of the I-Trigues to replace my first set. Everything has been swell for the past 2 weeks until last night. Last night and today I am once again getting static over my speakers. I tried fiddeling with the wires thinking it might be a loose connection and I also tried shutting off my computer and any nearby electronic devices. Unfortunately, none of my attempts have resolved the issue. This time the static is coming out of both speakers, although it is really bad and loud with the right speaker. I tried switching the left/right plugs around for the speakers, and this just made the louder static come out of the left speaker instead of the right one..
PLEASE HELP! My speakers haven't even lasted me two weeks!! And this is the 2nd set of 3400s I buy!!!!
btw, I've already sent for my rebate, so I don't think I can exchange my speakers for the THIRD time!

Hey! I've got the same problem with the same kind of speakers! When im listening to something volume is coming down and after a some time its coming back to its previous level! Coming back to its normal level can be forced by turning the speakers on and off! thats all i've discovered...
i also heard that some of creative speakers have kind of (f**k i dont know the word in english :P ) which works like that: when subwoofer is hot it automatially turns the volume lower to save your speakers from burning form hot :P or something like this :P
hmm... what i discovered that is no matter what i connect as source of music! effect of volume is the same
or maby you discovered the reason of this?
