I am developing an ASP page for Windows 2000 IIS 5.0. If I am
developing on my desktop which is XP Pro, I have setup the local
IIS webserver and everything works well. If I choose to develop ASP
pages in Dreamweaver on my Mac OS X, what do I use as my local web
server? Can I use just configure and use the Apache server on the
Mac side and perform my Live Data views locally and then just
publish on over to Windows for the IIS? This is just confusing and
I wanted to get some insight.

Hello. I am using PeopleTools 8.49. I run a process in Process Scheduler successfully but cannot see its output report. It seems that there is a procedure to configure Report Manager at first so that all reports are stored in Report Manager after run processes in Process Scheduler.

Report Manager is a utility in PeopleSoft to view Reports from a different place than Process Monitor. Navigation: Reporting Tools -> Report Manager. It has fours pages: List, Explorer, Administration and Archives.
PSDSTSRV generates a message after a process gets posted in process monitor in order to display reports in Report Manager - List and Explorer page. Hence Integration Broker setup needs to be done and PUB/SUB App Server Processes required to be up and running. Here are the configuration steps:
- Navigate to PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Service Operations
- IB needs to be configured for four services
•PSRF_FOLDER_CREATE
•PSRF_REPORT_CREATE
•PSRF_REPORT_DATE_CHANGE
•PSRF_REPORT_DELETE
- Open Service Operation PSRF_FOLDER_CREATE and make it active in General tab.
- In Handlers tab add a handler and make it Active. Handler name might differ from the screenshots's name but the Application Class definitons must match. Package name is same as the service operation name.
- In Routings tab, add a routing definition and make it active. Not sure, but I think only one routing definition must be active at a time... Sender and Receiver node are the local nodes - in my case it is PSFT_HR... to confirm your local node, go to PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Nodes and search for node...
- Repeat the above activity for rest of the services PSRF_REPORT_CREATE, PSRF_REPORT_DATE_CHANGE, and PSRF_REPORT_DELETE also. Configuration is almost similar e.g., make the service active in general tab, Add a new handler and make it active (class id would differ for all) in handler tab, Add a new Routing Name and make it active in Routings tab.
You might want to navigate PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Integration Setup -> Routings / Services to check your routings or Services definition and status.
Here completes IB configuration from PIA. A prior understanding of IB setup would help troubleshooting or any kind of configuraiton understanding in case something looks missing here.
Next step is to start the PUB/SUB App Server Processes... Once these server processes are up and running, reports would get displayed in Report manager - List/Explorer page.
Of course, basic IB setup is pre-requisite for the above activity to work. This includes Gateway configuration (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Gateway), Gateway Setup Properties (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Gateway -> Gateway Setup Properties), Quick Configuration (PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Quick Configuration) where you need to Gateway URLs and IB domains are active.

Need help : cannot anymore select local info in site definition only remote

Hi
I made the mistake choosing in site deffintion for remote info and not local info
Now it seems impossible to reverse it cannot anymore select local info in site definition only remote
So now I can not make the site normally.
I've closed dreamweaver a couple times and tried it again and even my pc but it seems to be something irreparable?
Does anyone know a better idea than reinstall?

You are on the Basic Tab of the Site definition dialog in DW CS3. Unfortunately, that's also the more confusing way to define a site. Nevertheless, you'll note that there are 3 selections across the top of the dialog:
1. Editing Files
2. Testing Files
3. Sharing Files
Have you already filled out the first two?
A site definition in DW *could* only have the first of those three filled out - you really only need the local site defined until you are ready to upload your files (assuming you are only creating static pages - that is, pages without server scripting).
To define most remote sites, all you need to do is to select that you connect to your remote server using FTP, and then to state the folder within which your website files are stored on the remote server (often this is a folder called 'www' or 'wwwroot' or 'public_html').
In my mind, the better way to define a site is to go right to the Advanced tab - it's less confusing because you just fill in all of the fields without going through this 'wizard-type' interface....
So - does that help at all?

How to configure local disk on OVM Server as storage space to create VMs

Hello,
We have installed OVM Server 3.1.1 on a machine that has 250 GB of Hard disk space [Single disk].
While installing used an option - Remove all partitions and create a new default partition layout.
Around 4GB has been used and remaining 246 GB is left as free space.
From OVM Manager - the server is discovered but didn't discovered the physical disk [i.e. remaining 246 GB raw disk space].
Can someone help me to understand how to use local disk as storage space for creating and running VM's.

You can? You've used every conceivable BIOS out there? You must really be full of yourself. There is absolutely no BIOS that I know of that gives this basic function. BIOSs do not "hard partition" anything. A "BIOS" is not made for such things. Do you even know what "BIOS" stands for?
I wonder why there is some many wanting to do this and are having problems.... I mean if it is such a straight forward thing to do..... It must be down right "intuitive".
You maybe speaking of a RAID "BIOS" but you obviously think you're not. Some motherboards have integrated RAID abilities. Intel RST comes to mind... BUT this isn't a feature of a MOTHERBOARD BIOS.
I've got some $50,000 servers that will not break a single hard drive up into multiple logical drives..... Now, I haven't worked on a "Stinkpad" for many years. Don't want to. However, I have never seen one that would do what you're saying you're doing.

Its just as easy to run virtual box and use the virtual box templates for Oracle VM. In fact, its more practical if you want to run Oracle VM on a laptop for testing purposes than blowing everything away and attempting to setup different LUNS on a single hard drive.

Although it's more reliable to use a separate location (such as an NFS share) for a storage repository, you can use a local disk of your Oracle VM Server instead, thus taking advantage of the local storage option. Beware, though: Oracle VM Server 3.0 doesn't allow you to utilize the unused space on the physical disk it's installed on. For local storage, you'll need at least one more physical disk. In other words, you'll need a total of two disks at minimum on your Oracle VM Server host if you want to use local storage. In practice, though, local storage is not a primary use case. The major downside to this approach is that local storage, by definition, cannot be shared between different servers.

ok folks here is the question. i have OD setup and i configured network users to get updates from my software update and it works just fine. the one thing i cant figure out is how can i configure local machine accounts to get updates from that same server.
any help would be appreciated.

OK I understand what you are saying. In which case why dont you apply the managed preference at machine level?
Failing that create an account on the server which is the same as your local admin account. Ideally all the local admin accounts should have the same name and password and the name should be different to the server admin account. One or both of these suggestions should work. HTH

we have a scenario,our client receive goods with 101movement type into quality inspection stock.
once stock is passed quality check stock,then we will take into unrestricted stock with 321 movement type.
failed in quality test will be rejected.please give me suggestion how to map the scenario.while i am testing
the process in my sandbox,its asking batch number.its not allowing me to post unrestricted stock with 321
movement type.how to make batch as optional in this scenario?if batch is mainted for the material,how to
configure the process.we are not using QM module.

In Batch management config in Logistic general, Check for the movement type 101 & 321 whether batch creation has been activated to Manual, Automatic, or no creation. In your case it looks like for mvt 321 batch creation is set to manual & for 101 no creation.
if batch creation is set to manual, enter a manual batch no & proceed.
But to cross verify wheter 101 has generated batch or not please check the stocks in MMBE.

working with ESS/MSS enhancements. I just imported DC from NWDI and create the application in NWDS.
But unfortunately I don't have access to Dev J2ee Engine to deploy and check my applications. I installed developer work place in my local machine.
Now have to test the applications which are related with ECC (like updating DB and fetching detailed from DB). for that I need to configure local J2ee Engine with Dev ECC.

When I am trying to create and set to Jco RFC Provider in visual admin,
For creating I am giving the parameters of Dev ECC gaveway host & Service details and Direct application parameters.
When setting to Jco RFC Provider I am just trying to Connect to VPN as I need to connect Dev ECC. once I connect to VPN My local J2ee is shutting down as well visual admin also disconnecting.
I am not understood what's the connection wit Local J2ee Engine and VPN connection. Is there any netwrok connections I need to perform Or what else I can do to resolve this issue?
Can you please any once suggest on this at earliest.

How to configure old AirPort Base Stations with current Mac

Hi everyone,
I noticed that you can't use the current AirPort Utility to configure old AirPort Base Stations. I'm talking about the pre-Extreme models that only had 802.11b (Graphite and Snow). It won't find them and even entering their IP manually won't let you enter the configuration.
Copying over the older AirPort Admin Utility from a 10.3 system won't let you configure them either, the app itself runs fine though. You need to use an older PPC Mac with OS 9 or max OS X 10.3 if I recall correctly.
Is there a way to do it directly from a current Intel Mac running Leopard?

Question marks/drivers in Device Manager on Mac Pro Win Xp

I have attempted to slipstream and install the SATA drivers onto a separate drive in my Mac Pro. It is confusing though, some people say use he ACHI version of the drivers while others say use the RAID. I used the raid. Anyway I did not install the chipset drivers but used the drivers produced by Boot Camp 1.1. I installed them after the Win XP install. When I look at device manager I have question marks (?) by the following items;
Other devices- Base system device, under System devices-Intel 5000 Series chipset PCI Express x4 port3-25E3, port5, port 6, and port 7. I also have a driver with question mark called PCI device. Does anyone else have similar issues. What should I do if anything? Thanks.

I used the Raid drivers as well and have very good performance on any drive activity. As for the other drivers, most people have had luck with using the BootCamp 1.1 Mac driver CD that you can create from the BootCamp Assistant.
It covers the Intel chipset drivers, Ethernet drivers, and typically the Audio chipset. My system still have '!' on the Interl 5000 Series Chipset PCI E x4 port 3-7, but seems to have no effect on the system. The last PCI device would most likely be your Audio Chipset, again try the CD created by BootCamp.

Configured local login on the console, but forgot to create a user...

I saved the config, restarted and now I can't log in. Is there any way to undo this change? Should I just follow the normal password reset procedure (press the mode button, backup config, etc) and then create a login this way?
I assume so, but I'm 50/50 on if I should just clear the whole thing out and start over since I'm not THAT far in.

Hi,
First check out that you are able access the router via telnet or console,I mean if your are getting the username prompt.If you are getting the username prompt then try the local username which you have configured.If that isn't working then try for password recovery to make this router as if like new one.
