How to contact Customer Relations

I hope someone can help me. I won't bore you with the long story (unless you ask ;-) but the headlines are that we have two S10 netbooks for my wife. The first one has yet to go a year without requiring warranty work, and the second one now is starting to have problems. Re: the first one's previous 2 warranty problems, Lenovo service was great. They fixed it and returned it in record time, which made me feel good about Lenovo desptie the problems. Both times, Lenovo service turned a problem into a positive experience.
Now, with both having problems, I have contacted warranty support 3 times in about 24 hours. All 3 times, the phone guys in the Phillipines were friendly, appropriate, and helpful. The problem is at the next level.
Call 1. The supervisor nixed repairs on both, including one that was deleivered from Lenovo on 6/15/09, because they were both out of warranty.
Call 2. The tech guy said he could take care of the newer one but not the older one (the one that has not gone 1 year without something breaking). He looked for a supervisor, could not find one, but a colleague who was "a senior guy" told him that the way it's supposed to work is that I get a supervisor who will then escalate the issue to Customer Relations, then Customer Relations will contact me. But, since no supervisor was on duty, I should call back during business hours with the case number, and get a supervisor.
Call 3: I did as directed. Supervisor said that Customer Relations would not accept issues for computers that are out of warranty. He said that while my "claim is valid", he cannot escalate it to Customer Relations. He also said there is no way for me to contact Customer Relations. When I asked if he thought it appropriate that a machine would not make it through a year without breaking, he said, "That's normal. That's why the warranty is only for a year." (I am not making this up.) Since I could not believe what I was hearing, I asked him if I understood him correctly, that he was saying my problem was just bad luck for getting a Lenovo computer that would not function for a year without requiring repair. He said, "It happens. The same thing will happen with another manufacturer." (I am not making this up either.)
I want to bring this to the attention of Customer Relations, but it appears I cannot do so. We are early adopters of Lenovo netbooks, and are repeat customers who have made positive recommendations to others about Lenovo. But this changes all of that. I want to get in contact with Customer Relations, as the response we received is not only unacceptable but also rather shocking. I hope you can help me get in contact with them. thanks....

If you have not been able to get in touch with customer relations, please send me a private message with your name, address, phone, and the model and serial number of the system in question.  If you have any reference service case numbers that will be helpful as well.
I think we should look into individual situations, review and provide an appropriate answer, however, I want to be careful that we don't mis-use customer relations as a way to simple escalate with an expectation of free service beyond the end of warranty as that defeats the point of the warranty.  I don't believe that is your intent, and not the case here, but I think it is worth mentioning for the benefit of all.
I would recommend that extended warranties be considered - they are not that expensive, and enable Lenovo to continue to provide service beyond the standard 1 year warranty period.

    Ok - so this is now my 3rd ipod mini that had broken, all for different reasons. This latest one is just outside of its warrenty and the hard drive thing seems to have gone. I have spent all day going through all your suggestions and trying some stuff of my own and nothing works. It is driving me crazy.     What do you do?  Post here and hope they respond?  That's all I can figure is what must be the way? Wow you would think there would be an email for them or a link or something.     First thing is I want to complain about this person here:  I had some questions on a product and called up and got Charly 1-20295539207.  He was horribly incompetent. He took 30 minutes just to, "get my information" which only consisted of just email and name.  How can it take 30 minutes for that?????  But trust me, Charlie absolutely makes it easy to waste that much time and still not get an answer to your question.  So after he spent 30 minutes gathering my, "info" (i.e. name and email) he told me he could not help me and to call back even though I told him 3 times up-front what I was calling about. All of the Sony reps are the absolute worst and they all have the same idiosyncracies, making you repeat your issue over and over and over and over being one of them. Then, after you tell them what the issue is - 4-5 times, they say, "How can I help you"?????????  WHAT???? I JUST TOLD YOU 4-5 TIMES AND THEN THEY ASK SOME OBNOXIOUS AGGRAVATING QUESTION LIKE THAT?   You have to be kidding me?  I am not making any of this up. It's absolutely abusurd and criminal how the sony reps are.   So I asked him, IF YOU COULDN'T HELP ME WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT AT THE START AND WHY DID YOU WASTE 30 MINUTES OF MY TIME FOR NOTHING GATHERING, "ALL" OF MY INFO?????  HE SAT THERE IN SILENCE AND SAID NOTHING.  that is the other thing these aweful reps do. Thay all do it.  They sit in silence and say nothing. THEN you have to ask them over and over and over again the same question and they never will give you an answer but will then say, "HOW MAY I HELP YOU"!!!!!!  It's insane what they put customers through. It's like talking to low iq people.   It';s clear that sony only hires people who are inferiour as regards tech knowledge, customer service knowledge, and who don't know how to talk on the telephone.  So I was 45 minutes total and after 30 minutes he told me he could not help me even though I told him in the first minute why I was calling (despite the fact I had to repeat myself over and over wasting lots of my valuable time). so why did he keep me on the phone allthat time if he could not help me? Why didn't he tell me at the start? How do I complain about him? IS there some type of corporate escalation department? IN addiiton I never got my problem solved. I need help w the media go that has screwed up all of my pictures.

  • WHINE ISSUES - UPDATE apple customer relations/tech

    Just wanted to let you all know:
    a. Many of you are aware of my unique situation (going through 3 replacement macbooks and all having the whine) I spoke to apple today and talked to cust relations first - been working with them for the whole case. Basically, he said that they are still working on a fix for the whine and the whine is apparent in many mac books regardless of build date. (as i have a week 13 now)
    b. Senior Tech Support - told me that there is information that he is not allowed to disclose but that the basic idea about the logic boards being revised is accurate. Many of them are being repaired in texas, however, it seems as if that doesn't eliminate the noise altogether. Of course, I asked, "So is the logic board issue resolving the whine issue then, cause based on what you just stated, it doesn't sound like it" And for this he told me he he cannot share any other information but they are working on it.
    So this is just an update to you all - I'm not saying any of this is "official" but I am telling you this is a first hand conversation/update from apple.
    My guess is that many of the logic boards aren't really making a difference and the problem is with something else. Something that is probably pretty huge - design flaw? I don't know

    Thanks for the update! Boot Camp is far from my priority list - I too am having a hard time with the high-pitched whine. Although I am still on my first MBP, I have had the logic board and inverter replaced at a local Apple Authorized Service Provider. The inverter corrected the screen buzz, but the whine issue remains the same. The firmware update changed nothing.
    Today I contacted customer relations because I am still unsatisfied. I'm in Canada, so options are limited here. Canadians do not have the option of sending their MBP to Apple for repiar (not that that has proved successful for the Americans who have sent their's to Texas). But at this point, I am done running bck and fourth to ASP's.
    I'm curious to know exactly how you managed to get your MBP replaced through customer relations. During my lengthly conversation with customer relations (Apple Canada), the person I was dealing with had me on hold while she consulted tech support. She came back and tried to tell me that the sound is within normal specifications and so on ... I'm sure you've heard it all. I hard to get a little more firm with her that there is nothing normal about this and I do not find it acceptable. I have requested a replacement MBP, but she said she will need to review this with her manager and get back to me. She's arranged a call back for tomorrow afternoon. So my question to you is .. did they give you a hard time about sending a replacement?? if so, how did you get them to send the replacement? Did you get the replacement first or did you have to send yours back before they sent a replacement?
    Any information or tips you can give me would be appreciated so I am better prepared for tomorrow's call if they still don't want to send me a replacement. I know the chances are that I will I get another MBP that emits the infamous whine, but at this point I have nothing to lose.

    Contact Customer Relations & ask them. If you need it right away then go to the Chat with a Support Agent website. The online chat support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    I need to contact Adobe in order to cancel my renewed membership. Membership was renewed on Nov the 6th. According to Adobe's policy I can get full refund within a month (which I guess counts since date of renewal). BUT I CAN'T CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! Moreover the monthly cost of renewed subscription is $42 plus taxes, while last year it was $30 plus taxes. Meanwhile on Adobe's webpage there is an offer going on for a monthly $30 plus taxes for new subscriptions!!!
