How to have vertical lines in NSTableView?

how to draw vertical lines in NSTableView? thanks.

Where do you want to draw them? If you're referring to vertical lines where two columns meet, it's just a setting in Interface Builder, though you can do it programmatically too. Select the NSTableView in Interface Builder and click the checkbox for "Vertical Lines".
You can do it programmatically as follows:
to have vertical lines:
[tableView setGridStyleMask: NSTableViewVerticalGridLineMask];
to remove vertical and have no lines:
[tableView setGridStyleMask: NSTableViewGridNone];
Hope this helps....

  • How to have vertical line appear programmatically between columns?

    Hello,
      For a forecasting report, I need to draw a line between "past" columns and "future" columns.  Unfortunately, just turning on a right or left border is not satisfactory (spaces between rows gives a "dashed line" appearance).  An SAP marketing type told us "Oh, you can have a line drawn automatically on your report, based upon some condition".  I've looked and looked, and cannot find any built-in programming objects which would provide for this.  I'm using Crystal Reports XI Rel 2.
    Any ideas?

    If you've tried drawing a line, and enabling "extend to bottom of section" and that didn't work...
    Would it be true to say that the height of the sections where you want this line to appear within vary as you go through the report?  Do you want the line to appear at a different x-position depending on some value?
    I have a fudgy fix or two, but I need to know if you just missed he "extend" trick first!
    Cheers,

    hi narendar,
    Welcome to SDN.
       u can go for box command.
    Use the box command with zero width for vertical lines.
    Position the line by x position and y postion.
    syntax :
    BOX <xpos> <ypos>
           <width>
          <height>
          <thickness in twips> twips.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 scans have vertical lines.

    I have a OfficeJet Pro 8600 and my scans have vertical lines.  Copying does not have the lines.

    I used the ADF and the flat bed to scan; both having lines as a result.
    In one of the forums and they thought it was static.  It was suggested to have the printer on and then unplug it.  Wait 15 seconds and plug it back in.  That did the trick.  No more lines.  I guess with winter bringing on more dry air, static is prevalent.
    Problem solved.
    Thanks

  • I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges.

    I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges. There are no lines when copying, faxing or scanning, only printing. I have cleaned the glass, scanner and even dusted where the toner cartride slides in.  Any suggestions?

    Sorry but I have worked on laser printers for over 20 years and never encountered your issue.  That is of course if you are explaining it correctly.  When you make a copy to be printed or print a reports page from the printer or send a print job to the printer, if in all these cases you get the line, then yes the issue is either the toner cartridge or the fuser.  If you make a copy to be printed and it prints without the line (Put original in adf, press copy button and print should come out), then you have one weird unit since it does not make sense since the print formatter on the unit whether making a copy or printing from the computer or unit itself uses the same hardware.  Now to test if the printed copy has a line then just put a sheet of paper on top of the feed tray and do a self test from the printer.  When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing.  Remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below.  If the defect is present the toner cartridge is the issue and if the image below does not have the defect, then the fuser needs to be replaced.  Best I can do.  Good Luck.

  • How to type vertical line on macbook pro keyboards?

    Please tell me how to type vertical line on macbook pro keyboards?

    (1) It sounds like you might be using a Spanish keyboard. You should specify this to begin with. Unless you do, the default assumption is that you're using a US keyboard. The advice you received is correct for the US keyboard.
    (2) To see how to enter any character available with your current keyboard, enable Keyboard Viewer, as described here
    <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.7/en/mh35878.html>
    (3) There is no "alt" key on a Mac keyboard. You are talking about the Option (⌥) key. See (search for "Alt key" in)
    What's it called on my Mac?

    Switch 101: On Windows, I used to...

    (4) My advice is move on from Fraise. AFAIK, it's dead. Try TextWrangler, which is free and more capable.

    Disabling "Automatic Graphics Switching" seems to work to resolve this problem if there are random lines that appear around windows and glitches in the display.

  • How to draw vertical lines in SMART FORMS

    Hi Guys,
    Can anyone please let me know how to draw vertical and horizontal lines in smart forms, i have to do this in the secondary window.
    thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
    In the window output options you have option of check box to get lines.
    Then you need to give the spacing for vertical and horizontal.
    Another option is putting a template on window and getting the boxes, but it is quite little bit complex.
    Put the cursor on the WINDOW in which the lines you want.
    Right click on it>create>complex section.
    In that select the TEMPLATE radio button.
    Goto TAB TEMPLATE.
    Name: give some name of line.
    From: From coloumn.
    To: To coloumn
    Height: specify the height of the line.
    Next give the coloumn widths.
    Like this you can draw the vertical and horzontal lines.
    If the above option doesnot workout then u can try the below option also
    any how you can draw vertical and horizontal lines using Template and Table.
    for Template First define the Line and divide that into coloumns and goto select patterns and select the required pattern to get the vertical and horizontal lines.
    For table, you have to divide the total width of the table into required no.of columns and assign the select pattern to get the vertical and horizontal lines.
    if this helps, reward with points.

  • How to stop vertical line between columns repeating in 2nd column

    Hi there,
    I have a report in which the details sections are repeated over 2 columns. I want to have a vertical line going down between the columns, however I don't seem to be able to place the line in the "dead space" between the sections, so I end up with the line repeated at the right hand side of the second column.
    Can anyone suggest how to draw the line independently of the columning format?
    thanks
    -KarenB

    oh duh! of course! The problem only started when I shortened the line to the last details section while trying to fix another problem... thanks for the tip! All fixed.
    cheers

  • Why does my MacBook have vertical lines?

    My MacBook has a white screen and rain ow vertical lines. I have never dropped it. It has done this before and the disappeared after awhile. How do I fix this?

    Hey Kaylaree1994!
    To me it would sound like you have a failing display. There are a lot of funny things monitors/screens/displays can do when they deteriorate and/or eventually start to fail. The lines on your screen could be a result of broken pixels. Normally there isn't much of a promising solution to this sort of situation. If you still have your warranty in place then you have nothing to worry about! Take it into an Apple store to visit the Genius team. They might be able to help you, and worse case scenario, replace your screen or the entire Macbook depending on their decision.
    Not exactly positive news but I hope this helps!

  • How to draw vertical lines that are visible in preview mode?

    Hi all,
    I need to draw vertical lines on a document. The lines must be same as we draw using line tool.
    I could draw the line using CreateLineSpline() method of IPathUtils.
    The problem is that these lines are not visible in preview mode. Please tell how can we make lines that are visible in preview mode.
    Please help, I'm running out of time.

    CodeSnippetRunner has the answer:
    Utils<IPathUtils>()->CreateLineSpline

  • How to have a line down middle of page betw 2 columns but...

    for some graphics, the graphics flow over the two columns. In setting up a template, how to make that line be flexible so that when there is a graphic that takes up more space, the graphic has an amount of white space around it..(would that be an object style). Ok, would you put the line on the master page?

    If you are referring to text wrap when you say outset, then it will push the text in the main frame out of the way, but it won't push the rule or leave a gap next to it. The only way to do that is to adjust the rule or hide it with something (like the [Paper] stroke).
    If the caption frame is going to be below the image, this gets more complicated, especially if the image isn't always at the top of the page. About the best you can do for that is to apply the same stroke to both the image and caption frame, and have them overlap or touch, which means you can have spacing between the two from the width of the stroke to twice the width, but not more. You'll also need to fill the caption frame with paper to knock out the rule.
    If the image group will always completely cover one end or the other of the rule you can pay with different width strokes for the two frames.
    It might be best to put a grouped image/caption frame in a library, already styled, or leave one on the pasteboard somewhere.
