live environment (Exchange server) . Backup exec is installed in exchange server2010 only. When i started restore its restoring full database (around 35GB). i am doing this first time in live environment. Kindly help me.
Thank you.
Karan

Hi Karan,
Based on my knowledge, Backup Exec offers 2 ways to restore Exchange data.
1. Using Mailbox database restore.
2. Restore individual mailbox or mail items from the backup set.
Besides, I'm not familiar with the third-party software Backup Exec. I recommend you ask more assistance about Symantec Backup Exec from Backup Exec vendor.
What's more, we can use DPM to restore individual mailbox.
Here is an article for your reference.

  • How can I change gmail inbox/sent items display from conversations to individual messages

I use an iPod Touch 5G with IOS 8.1 to access email using the GMail app.
I want to change the inbox/sent items display lists to show individual e-mail messages.  I don't like the "conversation" display on my small screen.  It is too hard to read important info in the thread.
I don't see anywhere in my app to change that type of display.
    Thanks.

Go to Settings>Mail and turn off Organize by Thread. This applies to all mail accounts. It can be set to only apply to one account

  • I accidentally deleted my 1&1 account in mail and inbox / sent items lost

Can anyone help please?  I have transferred my domain name from 1&1 to godaddy today and the domain transfer has been successful but in the process of trying to set up my Mail account I inadvertently deleted the old 1&1 account from Mail preferences.  I didn't think that this would be a problem as all of the emails must be stored on my hard drive once they had been delivered to Mail, but when the 1&1 account had been deleted I lost all emails from my inbox, sent items and deleted items.  The personal folders that I have created to store emails in are all still there, but I am very worried that I have lost all of my sent items and all of the items in my inbox that were awaiting replies.
I have looked on here and people refer to going to Library and then Mail folder, but I don't have a mail folder.  I do have Time Machine so any recommendations where I can back up on would be appreciated.
1&1 have said that I can transfer my MX records back to them to restore my mail and then transfer them back to godaddy, but I have been waiting for 12 hours from the original transfer to take place and it still hasn't happened and I can't afford another day without being able to send or receive any emails.
I would also like to know how to ensure that i have a back up of my existing mail to make sure that i don't loose any more.
    Any advice greatly appreciated. :-)

Was this a POP account, and where is your backup?
From now on use Time Machine to backup your Mac, for Mail you can also (not instead of) export any or all mailboxes to the desktop by rightclicking on the mailbox and choosing Export.

  • Missing inbox / sent items in users online archive

Hi, I have quite an alarming problem with a users online archiving setup in exchange 2010 SP1.
I have online archiving setup for a relatively small group of users. Its working fine for everyone except 1 - everyone has email moved to the archive after 2 years.
The one user with the problem however has no inbox and no sent items on the archive mailbox. They have subfolders from the "root" with mail in them, but no inbox / sent items.
Email are however being deleted from these folders after 2 years from the regular inbox!
I have tried logging in through OWA (same) and other machines (same). I've tried using MFCMapi to check for the hidden properties on the archive mailbox (both false). I've tried using powershell to view statistics on the folders, and it appears to have 1
item in the inbox on the archive at least.
Can anyone help me?  Frankly I've ran out of ideas at this point.

    Hi,
It is so strange that there is no Inbox and Sent Items folder in a user’s online archive mailbox. Please check whether there are no older than 2 years emails in Inbox and Sent items folders.
Generally, within the archive mailbox, Exchange will automatically create the complete folder structure that was present in the user’s primary mailbox. The folder structure is not created within the archive mailbox until messages need to be moved into a
given folder from the primary mailbox to the archive mailbox.
I don’t know whether disable archive then enable it for this mailbox can recover Inbox and Sent Items folders or not. We can back up this archive mailbox firstly like exporting mailbox data to a PST file. Then try re-configure online archive
for the mailbox to have a try.
    Thanks,

  • Outlook 2010 - Shared mailbox copies sent items into inbox

Good afternoon, I have a customer which recently requested a shared mailbox addition for group emails within his team (all accounts are Exchange).  The shared mailbox is duplicating sent items in the inbox of the shared account. The default account
functions normally with sent items only residing in the sent items folder.
All the settings appear normal on the cliet side, what am I missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mack

    Hi Mack,
Does this issue occur on all the users who add the shared mailbox or just several users?
If this issue only occur on one user, please recreate Outlook profile to have a try.
You also can use OWA to help you check on the issue:
<1> Grant one user with full access permission on the shared mailbox.
<2> Login with OWA, and use the shared mailbox to send one email, then check if the sent item email will be copied to the inbox.
    Thanks,
    Evan

  • Lost my inbox, sent items, drafts mailboxes

I was sending email on a non home wifi and got rejected email message. The window said email put in outbox. Now all I seem to have in mailboxes is my outbox and none of the others. I still seem to be receiving mail as my iPad keeps pinging and telling me more mail has come in! I just can't find the inbox to read them! Where is it?

After doing what Nick suggested, hold the iPad in the horizontal position so the mailbox bar stays active on the left side of the screen. Tap Mailboxes at the top of that bar and see if it doesn't give a list like, Inbox, Sent, Trash. If so, tap each to see what is in them.
While there, you can empty the Trash by selecting that one, then tap Edit on the top bar and Delete All at the bottom, then confirm the deletion.

  • Site mailbox no sent items or draft folder

I have created a site mailbox on one of my SharePoint sites and added my self into SharePoint site owner group. The site mailbox is showing up in my outlook (2013) but no sent items or draft items folder? I have also checked OWA and no sent items or
    draft items folder aswell?

Have you tried to delete a message from the Inbox by clicking the Delete in the toolbar? or have you created a Draft by trying to compose a new email?

    Hello,
I doubt if There are some tools tools that can extract individual mailboxes in .pst format from corrupted .edb databases.
One such tool can be downloaded from :- http://www.exchangeserverrecovery.com

  • Mailbox and sent items in Home view

People do not like seeing just the unread items in the Home view. We create a new panel that points to the Mailbox folder. This displays all their previous messages as well as any new ones. However, it also displays the items from the sent folder as well. Is there a way to only display the mailbox items without the sent items in the panel?

Disregard this post. The sent items can be removed from the Mailbox panel by choosing Edit on the panel, select the Display tab, and deselect Sent under Item Source.

  • Exchange 2007 - restored (merged) Mailboxes - Problem with items in Outlook

    Hey guys,
last week we had to restore and merge our Exchange Mailbox Database. We had a running Database with data until Oct 14 and merged a recent backup into the User Mailboxes.
Some mailboxes didn´t have problems, others have from then on doublicated Mails, Calendar Items, Tasks, ... even deleted/renamed folders appear now again WITH email content.
I don´t understand what happend there and if I can do something.
    Hope someone could help me!
    Regards

    Hi,
According your post, I understand that some mailbox contain duplicate items after restore and merge mailbox.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Are you run Restore-Mailbox with AllowDuplicates parameter? Please double check in OWA.
Besides, please run below command to check the structure of mailbox folder:
    MailboxFolderStatistics “identity” | Select Name,FolderSize,FolderAndSubfolderSize
If the issue only occur on Outlook client side, please run Outlook with online mode or reconfigure a new profile for testing.
    Thanks

  • How can I import only the Sent Items file from Outlook 2010 into TB?

I have saved Sent Items as a distinct .pst file. Is there a method for importing it into TB? The Sent Items in Outlook were not included when I imported mail from the original Outlook.pst file.

well I have read the question and the answer and the response and seriously I have no idea what your talking about TwoLeftFeet.
    these instructions are fairly clear
    3. Copy the outlook.pst file to that PC and configure Outlook to use it. (may need to be in the default location)
    4. Compact the .pst file using Outlooks File -> Data File Management commands to permanently get rid of any deleted messages. Don't confuse this with compressing or zipping a file.
    5. Import the messages using Tools -> Import -> Mail. You can use Tools -> Import to also import the settings and address books.
Repeat steps 3-5 as necessary for any other .pst files.
You obviously do not need steps 1 and 2... as you say your files are on the same computer.
And you files are on the same computer so steps 6 - 9 would not apply.

  • How do I setup a new Mini IPad using ICloud backup from my IPad 2?

I have an ipad2 which has cloud backup - I have bought an IPad mini an d when I tried to setup using the backup from Cloud, because the Mini did not have the latest iOS, it would not allow the backup. I then used iTunes to setup and upgraded the software, but now I would like to access Cloud so that I can restore the Apps, photos, music, and data. Do I have to reset the Mini, and if so, will the upgraded iOS be retained so I can access the Cloud. Alternatively if I synch with my computer, is that going to be the most efficient method.

    Restore from iCloud Backup
    1. Erase all contents and settings (Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings)
    2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
    3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
    4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
    5. Configuration start
    6. Set language
    7. Set country
    8. Enable Location Service
    9. Select network, enter password and join network
    10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
    11. Selected Restore from iCloud Backup
    12. You'll be required to enter Apple ID and Password
    13. Agree to Terms and Conditions
    14. Select Backup file
    15. You'll see progress bar
    16. Red slider will appear; slide to unlock; step #1 to #16 is fast
    17. Pre-installed apps will be restored first
    18. Message: Purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
    19. You'll see a pageful of apps with Waiting/Loading/Installing
    20. When the restore process is complete, your device will restart. You should connect the device to iTunes to sync data not contained in the backup (such as music, videos, apps, and so on).

  • I just got my Ipad2 and have my email accounts set up.  When I go to the folder icon at the top of the page and click on Sent Items they disappear to somewhere.  How do you look at your sent items?

I just got my Ipad2 and have my email accounts set up.  I have sent messages but when I go to the folder icon at the top right of the page and tap on SENT emails it makes the inbox email on the screen disappear.  How do you check your sent emails?  Thanks for your help.

You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

  • How to delete single MRP element line item

    Hi gurus,
I need to delete a SINGLE line item for an MRP list for materials.  Is there a transaction to do this?
I have tried MD08, but that only deletes whole lists.  I am trying to clear out old elements that are years old in my list for a material.
    I will reward useful answers
    Thanks!

    Hi,
It's very difficult to say what to do since I cannot see what you see, and I do not know anything about your system.
In MRP there are: stock, requirements (IndReq, DepReq), transactional data (PO, SO, Delivery, PurRqs, etc)
    1. What you should do is to define which materials are related in this issue.
    2. Which kind of MRP elements are related (you have got old requirements, transactional data, etc?).
If you have old requirements you should find the source of them. DepReq cannot be deleted > they come from higher levels > you should find where they come.
Do they derive from old transactional data?
Do they come from higher and higher level, I mean there are IndReqs, SOs for FG?
(you can use 'pegged' function if you click on the MRP element)
If you know from which kind of source they come (only they come from old transactional data or from IndReq, SO) > you should eliminate them accordingly.
    A. If they come from SO, IndReq you can use the steps written by me in my previous message. (You can use MD62 to delete old IndReq).
    B.
If they come from old transactional data, you have to find the way to eliminate them. Maybe you cannot eliminate them by mass processing, I do not know.
But you canmake groups / categorize the transactional data > after that maybe you can use mass change / handle them accordingly.
I mean if you have SO and Delivery, you cannot delete the SO when Delivery refering to that SO exist.
So, in case of requirements please delete the requirements (IndReq, SO) that exist at highest level and running MRP you will get rid of a lot of mess (top > down). In case of transactional data the strategy is the opposite: bottom > up.
If you get error messages > double click on it and read what SAP says > if it's not clear search for the number of the error message on the forum.
Sorrowfully, I cannot help in case of HU, I do not know them.
