How to return Delivery Costs in a PO?

Hi everyone,
My client has a scenario of vendor return with PO, where we indicate that the PO item is a return item.
The situation I am facing is the following: we create a normal PO, where items have their price + delivery costs. MIGO and MIRO are done perfectly. My problem comes when we have to create a return PO for that item. I do not have the same provision for PO returns, because when we return the item through PO indicator delivery costs can not be included as SAP does not support negative delivery costs. The thing is that returning the item at Purchase Price without consideration of the deliver costs, will result in high WAC. How to resolve this issue.
Could anyone advise on this? Thanks in advance!
Nisha

Hi Nisha,
I have run the scenerio in my test system with return PO.
In this I have considered the net price to be 10 rs out of which .50 rs is frieght (condition type is marked with accrual/statstical in config)
i was able to create PO since the condition type value is coming in positive and its statastical and on doing mIGO system created the material document with the below accounting entries
GR/IR dr for 10 Rs
Stock account credit for 9.5 rs
Frieght account credit for .5 rs
I think this solves the issue
please check the config of the frieght condition type make it statastical

  • Question on uplanned delivery costs need to go to GL account

    Hello
I have a question regarding unplanned deliver costs. I am a FI analyst  Can you please explain my how I can solve my problem . My user wants unplanned delivery costs to go in to the GL account .
In MM account determination GL account is set up but when I am doing MIRO
. I am putting  total amount in amount field and freight costs in unplanned field under ‘detail ‘ section.
When I simulate it gives me ‘tax code ‘ related warning when I hit enter it credit vendor and debits  GR/IR clearing and some debit  to inventory  account but not  to freight account,
What’s  the problem. Can someone explain me :
    1)     What do I need to do to make it go to GL account ( account is set up but what is tax code related error . how do I fix that,
    2)     How does unplanned delivery costs work if I have tax, discount and freight.
    3)     Is tax calculated off total amount (inventory + freight) and discount too. How can I prevent that so that my tax is calculated just on inventory amount?
    4)     DO I have to put total in amount field (meaning inventory amount + fright ) or not .
I will be grateful if someone can guide me towards right direction. Please give me a detailed answer. How does it work???
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. If you eant ot post to a differnet GL account the GL tab is there.. there you have to mention the Gl account.. like Fb50.
    2. When you put some amount in unplanend delivery cost ..
    a. If material is Moving average price then the amount will be debited to inventory account
    b. If material is in standard price then it eill go to price differnece account.
    3. frieght vendor , discount why not u calculate through pricing schema in PO and after that in MIRP for firght vendor u will have different option..Just check with MM guys..
    4.answered in point 1.
    Hope it will helps ..
    Assign point if helpful

in standard setting the freight amount gets debit in the stock or inventoy account and gets credit in the fright accoutn at the time fo gr so it means the amount of frieght is gettting invenotrised
now at the time of IV IN MIRO SYSTEM CREDITS THE VENDOR ACCOUNT AND DEBITS THE GR/IR account
if u want to settele the planned delivery cost then select the laout variant for the planned delivery at item level
or in case if u want to make use of the unplanned delivery cost then u r doing the right step
but as u simulate the g/l accounts sytem will debit the inventory or stock account for it  rather then frieght account (i belive so )
as the uplanned delivery cost may be getting inventorised that is added to the material price
and as u said u dont want to have tax calulated on the unplanned delivery cost then i suggest u to post it as subsequent debit and there do not make use of the claulate tax option or do the direct posting for the g/l account option

  • User forgot to add delivery costs to purchase order

Got a user that forgot to add delivery costs to a purchase order, now it has been GR and IRd, now they want to add the delivery costs, of course they have to reverse the IR and possibly the GR as well, go to change mode and add this missing condition manually
any other options for doing this?? dont think the invoice has been paid yet
    Thanks

    Dear Mark Ojo.
Try to think of this missing activity, User/Client can mistake/forget this delivery cost
    at anytime. so, you can consider for solving this missing amount as below ;
       - If already this finished the GR and IR procedures, (but invoice has not been paid yet),
best way is also cancellation of entire posted document, but i think that you just try to
apply this delivery cost to MIRO (-->  Unplanned delivery costs).
       1) MIRO --> "Unplanned delivery costs" on the Detail Tab Screen.
If you are using the conventional Invoice Verification component, the system splits up the
delivery costs entered among the individual items, based on the amounts invoiced so far
plus those in the invoice being entered.
If you are using Logistics Invoice Verification, how the unplanned delivery costs are posted
depends on the Customizing settings. There are two possibilities:
           - Unplanned delivery costs are split up as in conventional Invoice Verification.
           - Unplanned delivery costs are posted in a separate posting line to a G/L account set
             up for this.
         2) MIRO --> "Subsequent Debit" on the first screen.
Specifies which transaction you can choose "Subsequent Debit" for such as when you
received an invoice from your vendor for delivered goods.Delivery costs are to be charged.
on the other hand, if you received a credit memo for delivered goods(previously charged
delivery costs are to be credited) , you can choose "Subsequent Credit".

  • Delivery cost condition types in ECC

We are going for Ext clasic scenario where SRM POs will be transferred to backend. How to have delivery cost condition types in SRM which will also appear in ECC POs? In SRM condition types, condition category does not have delivery cost option , like ECC.
I created the same condition type in SRM as in back end, and marked it as statistical in the 0100 pricing procedure, but it does not appear in backend PO , although the pricing procedure in backend has the same condition type as a delivery cost condition.

    Hi
<u>You can create custom fileds in the Local SRM POs by using SAP OSS Note 672960 and 485891.</u>
<u>Map the data from SRM system to back-end ECC system using BADIs -></u>
    BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI
    BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI
or some standard SAP function modules can also be used here.
    <u>Other related Information -></u>
You can change the following credit memo data at header level:
    <b>Unplanned delivery costs</b>
You can change the unplanned delivery costs.

  • Vendor return Process - Capture of delivery costs

My client has a scenario of vendor return with PO, where we indicate that the PO item is a return item. We use VL120B to create the DO and then do a PGI.
You can do the Vendor return with transaction MBRL as well. The accounting postings in this case will reverse the entire value including the delivery costs.
I do not have the same provision for PO returns. When we return the item through PO indicator, how to ensure that the item is return at WAC ?
Returning the item at Purchase Price without consideration of the deliver costs, will result in high WAC. How to resolve this issue. We cannot put negative in the condition type also, because system gives an error saying negative delivery cost is not allowed.
    Could anyone advise on this?

    Hi Bala,
Did you get a solution for this issue? I am facing the same problem and would be very grateful for any information.

  • How to explode BOM in vendor return delivery ?

I am working on creating item categories that will help explode BOM
But I have to do that for vendor return delivery
The BOM (structure A or B) settings are visible in item category for sales order but not for delivery item
So, how can I make an item category with BOM , for delivery (no sales order will be used) ?

    Hi,
J1IS is only to reverse exice duties which were captured earlier. in oder to cancel the excise you are using J1IS. However if you wich to pass the accounting entry for the same you ahve follows as below.
it will cancel the excise invoice .If u go to J1IS and cancel the document only the excise invoice created will be cancelled, no accounting entries will be generated. In order to capture accounting entries you have to fetch the accounting document of J1IS through table j_1iexcdtl and j_1ipart2, pass a reversal entry for the accounting document through FB08.
As per norms there is no possibility of reversal entry for CST as it will to material cost  you have to pass the entry in FI.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How to get rid of "Delivery costs have not been cleared" status = MM_EKKO

    Hi dear experts,
During pretreatment of MM_EKKO archiving object (TA: SARA), I get an amazing huge amount of PO position which can not be archived due to "*Delivery costs have not been cleared*".
I tried several ways to find out how to solve this issue but without any success.
Point is that we do not clear delivery cost regarding those PO positions, but delivery cost are transfered directly to a global account.
It means that those PO's won't never be cleared.
Any ideas about how I can fix this issue?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Yep,
no idea why, but when I uncheck the "Final Invoice" box save and went back into the same PO and check again the same "Final Invoice" box, then, as a miracle, SARA=>MM_EKKO=> Pretreatment knows that this document is cleared and can be archived.
It is just that for now, really old PO's are located in the present residence time
I hope this slyness will help someone else one day.
    Regards,
    Daniel

  • How can I order more than one project to save on delivery costs?

Is it possible to order more than one project (book) in iPhoto at the same time to save on delivery costs? I have several to order and I dont want to get hit for £5.99 three time if possible. I cant see how to do it or even if this is possible. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Andy

You can only order identical projects on one order. If they are different then a seperate order is required

  • Free of charge return with delivery cost

We have the issue that we want to send material back to vendor free of charge, but there are some delivery costs that need to post to expense account. So I created PO where one line is with 0 value with this material. But how to enter the delivery cost as those fields are not active when the value is 0?

    hi..
you can create two line items in that for first line item u define the material and check the retrun check box and in the second line item u can assign cost center in which u can adjust delivery cost..
    Hope it works.
    Thanks.

  • How to Archive PO for which delivery costs has not been settled ?

    Hi dear experts,
For Intra company STO, documents weren't getting archived due to the error message.Scenario is mentioned below.
During pretreatment of MM_EKKO archiving object (TA: SARA), I get an amazing huge amount of PO position which can not be archived due to "*Delivery costs have not been cleared*".

    Dear Jurgen,
    Scenario is as follows:
An Intra company STO is created without delivery costs.
    Next step is delivery creation.
Shipment is created with creation of shipment cost document
The shipment costs are distributed accordingly to the items in the PO and they're stamped back in the PO with the condition type ZFRB(copy of FRB1)
This will act as a reference and added to the material cost in the receiving plant.
As the shipment cost document creates a service PO and its cleared with a Invoice being posted in MIRO and subsequently in FI,they aren't clearing the value which is open in the Original stock transport order.
    Regards,
    Deepak

  • Planned delivery cost(in PO), but like to pay other vendor(in MIRO). How?

To someone who knows planned delivery cost very well:
    I have 3 points.
    1. Planned delivery cost(in PO), but like to pay other vendor(in MIRO). How?
    2. Condition type for Planned delivery cost, like FRA1, FRB1,ect, have Acc. key& Accrual key like FRE, FR1 in PO pricing procedure(calculation schema), it controls dlv cost value into Mat. stock value, but we like to post those value into a expense account, it is possible by cond. type FRA1 or FRB1, how?
    3. I did testing, I have impression, for cond.type of planned dlv cost, FRA1 or FRB1, SAP always credits the dlv cost value into Accrual/provision clearing account(after GR) and debit to clear the account after MIRO.  Is it correct? If yes, why in condition type configuration, it has an indicator Accrual , this indicator seems to have no difference whether it selected or non-selected.
    Thanks,
    [email protected]

1)while doing the miro,in the details tab give Inv. Party as ur other vendor code.
also at the right hand side where u can select the layout, just above it choose planned delivery cost and proceed with ur miro.

  • ERS for Return Items with Planned Delivery Costs also as credit

    Hi
I have the requirement to process ERS-Returns (MRRL) where I need to have a credit memo for the product cost and the planned delivery costs incurred with the original order. ($15,000 for product and $1200 for delivery costs = Credit Memo for $16,200)  I have tested this extensively but in all situations the planned delivery costs creates an 'invoice' not a credit memo.
Has anybody encountered this requirement?  If so, were you able to resolve without implementing an enhancement?
    Thanks.

For delivery costs you need to maintain the following customizing:
      > OLMR
        > Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS)
          > Specify Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs
The flag controls whether to include or exclude planned delivery costs
    from automatic settlement.
Regarding the planned delivery cost, it will not listed in
transaction MRRL. This is the standard SAP design. Instead, please
    use transaction MRDC.
