HOW TO USE HOST COMPUTER VI TO CONTROL COMPACTRIO DIGITAL OUTPUTS

I am designing a closed loop control system using Labview FPGA and CompactRio real time target. I am using FPGA for the control system coding. I want to use the host computer to monitor some signal levels and send out a signal using NI9401 module to control external amplifier. The host computer does not have memory capacity to hold labview software. Can I use executable on this host computer so I can have this front panel to monitor the control system? Could you tell me how to monitor signal levels going in and coming out from FPGA (is there sample vi I can look to get an idea? I am using Ethernet cable to connect compactrio to host computer ) Thanks!

if you work with LabVIEW 8.6, then you can use the scan engine to get the values from your fpga to the real time target. If you do so, then you only need to work with shared variables. To see all your values on your host pc, you can create an executable which can read and write values over tcp/ip. There are a lot of examples about it, use the example finder please. To use the scan engine is only one way, you can write all the communication by yourself. For the communication between real time and host, i would use tcp/ip instead of shared variables.

I use spry to create an autocomplete form that works great across browsers that have javascript enabled. You can store info in a database and parse the info to xml for a dynamic approach. Take a look at the filter examples in spry.

Really confused here. I have somehow created both a managed account and an administrator account. The admin acct is now highlighted in system preferences. We are now blocked from using our computer because parental controls keeps popping up.

In attempting to add a music lesson program for my daughters band lessons we have messed up our computer. I now have both a managed account and an administrator account (both in my name). It is using the managed account now and not letting use the Internet because parental controls keep popping up. I would like to delete the managed account and get back to the admin account but I have no idea what my login is for the admin account. We have never had to use it before this problem started and what we thought it was when we set it up does not work. Any ideas?

I have install EM grid control in VMware with SO windows XP.
was installed my repository in ORACLE_HOME, one service in OMS_HOME, one agent in AGENT_HOME, use the option "Installing Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Using a New Database".
i understand that automatic the oracle mangement service and oracle manegement agent communicate and can see other hosts in EM grid control.
all services is up
dont see other hosts, dont see other databases
can anybody help in this issue??

How to use SetRotate with a AcroPDF control and VB6?

I'm creating a program in VB6 that has an Adobe Reader control (using AcroPDF.dll version 9.0) on the form that allows the user to open and view PDF files and I need to know how to use the SetRotate command programmatically to set the view of the PDF to a different angle (the view angle, like 90, 180 degrees, etc.).
According to the API reference, you use AcroPDPage.SetRotate but some how I need to tell it which control to apply it to and that is what I don't understand. If I just create a new instance of AcroPDPage and try the SetRotate or even GetRotate it gives me a 'object variable not set' error, which I understand since PDPage is supposed to be part of another object (such as a view control of some sort).
My question is, how do I get or create a AcroPDPage object that is part of the AcroPDF control on the form so that I can use GetRotate and SetRotate methods and apply it to the PDF view control (AcroPDF)? Although this is the prefered method of solving this problem, I guess if I could just get the AcroPDF control to show the view menu, that would be good enough.
I'm using the AcroPDF.dll version 9.0 and have Adobe Reader 9.0 installed on a XP SP3 machine. Again, I'm writing this program in VB6.
As you can probably tell, I'm fairly new to programming, especially using references to other program components like Adobe Reader.

How to use HOST call DOS continuous running problem but NOT hold Forms scre

In my Forms, I have a Button a start a MP3 recorder program to record voice, I use HOST command to init the program successfully. However, since the MP3 recorder program in continuous running, the HOST command hold my Forms screen until the MP3 program stop.
I have try to use Open_form to open another form to start this MP3 program. It still hold the whole Forms system.
Is there any solution to start a continuous running DOS program but NOT hold the Forms screen?

You didn't provide your host-command, so i simply guess its something like
HOST('"c:\Program Files\mp3.exe" someoptions');instead of calling the program directly, you could use a commadn batch along with the start-command, for this should launch the program asynchronously:

Frankly, I tend to agree. However, if you _need_ PID control and _if_
your two-state heater is solid-state switched, there are other
options. For example, commerical PID temperature controllers with
zero-voltage switching (ZVS) operate by generating a slow enabling
pulse, then achieving proportional control by varying the duty cycle of
this enabling pulse. For instanance, if your enabling pulse is running
at 10-Hz, with 50% duty cycle,
then your heating element will be on for
50% of the time every 0.1 second.
You can use a programmable timer (National includes two on their MIO
cards) to program the 5 or 10 Hz output and its duty cycle. You might
have LabView execute the PID subVI once every two or three seconds to
adjust the duty cycle on the programmable timer so as to minimize the
feedback error=(tempSetPoint-currentTemp).
Why are you wanting to use LabView for PID temperature control in the
first place? There are some very good PID temperature controllers
(programmable through a serial port) with built-in solid-state ZVSs
and readouts for $900 that you can buy. They'll fit right into
a control panel, display and all. Sure beats messing with a
programmable timer card and its outputs, plus you get a digital panel
readout to boot.
