Hp Pavilion 750n just beeps and LEDs stay lit

My Hp Pavilion was on Saturday and now it just beeps every 2 seconds and the LEDs stay it and it never shuts off. And there is no video to the monitor. Can someone help me????

If the XP machine is still functional, you can use the Easy Transfer XP to WIN7 or WIN8. In either case, the WIN8 link is a great read, as it covers a tutorial for WIN7 and 8. Easy Transfer Cable for the computers.

CFP status led - stays lit solid red!

I have a problem with a cFP-2120 RT controller where the red LED status light stays lit. On the instruction manual it says that the unit was not powered up correctly and to contact NI. The controller used to work fine until we had a short on the mains side of the power supply The AI, AO and thermocouple modules did not power up but the DI and DO modules seemed to be getting power. Is there anything we can do or just send it back for repairs. When I replaced the controller with another one, the system worked fine and the status LED turned off after a few seconds.

Sounds like you've proven that the controller is bad. Next step is an RMA from NI. Make sure NI tells you what failed in the controller and see if they will comment on what might have caused it. The idea being to see if you can do anything to prevent this failure in the future.

FP2015 status led stay lit

While turning on the system the status led stay on. Doing this few time, now the Status led doesn’t stay on but it seems that the controller doesn’t make the booting procedure (the Leds doesn’t turn on and off at the begging)

This issue can generally be solved by formatting the internal Compact FLASH memory on the controller. There is a < a href="http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/6D0F9F74FD2DAD0186256EE5007198D4?OpenDocument">Knowledge Base that describes in detail how to format the controller. Sometimes you will first have to switch both the Safe Mode (switch 7) and Reset IP (switch 8) dip switches and cycle the power to first get the controller into a safe state.
The Compact FLASH corruption is generally due to losing power while writing to a sector on disk. This can cause that sector as well as other adjacent sectors to become corrupt.

Brand New Hp Pavilion - Hard Disk *beep* and *scratching*

Bought an Hp Pavilion dv4-2145dx from Best Buy about a month ago.
2 weeks into the purchase, I noticed the computer making a "beep" sound (not from the speakers). Each time it would beep, the light below the picture of "3 discs" on my laptop would light up. (hard disk, or hard drive I believe)
It would do this maybe once an hour, or a couple times an hour, or even a few times a minute. It varies. Recently it started making a "scratching" noise (very light, not loud though, coming from the hd area). It will "scratch" for either a quick second, or a few seconds. Each time it does this it sounds like my brand new $600 laptop is about to just crap out.
After the support on HP chat got me absolutely nowhere (even the chat support cant speak english..unbelievable.) im still stuck here. I flashed my BIOS, it didnt do a **bleep** thing. Here I am with a brand new $600 laptop that feels like its about to just crap out. I did some research and I heard Pavilions are known for having faulty hard drives or something on new models.
what should I do to go about fixing this? for free, also. Theres no way im shelling out more cash for a faulty product.

HP does not make the hard drives so HPs are not any more subject to hard drive failures than any other brand of laptop, but such failures do happen. Hold down F10 as you power up to enter the Setup (BIOS) and look for the hard drive self-test. Run the full version. If errors are noted, HP will replace the drive under warranty for free. As I understand it they will ship a new drive and you have to give them a credit card number but they reverse the charge when you return the old drive. Or you can send the unit in. And Best Buy would have let you return it within 14 days and exchange for another one without a restocking charge if it was bad and then BB would have had to deal with HP.

PS2 and Qosmio G20 - using the monitor in button it just beeps

Could anybody please help? Hooked my ps2 up using the composite cable but when I press the monitor in button it just beeps and does nothing.
I know the jack is not broken as I can get a picture thru win DVR.

Thanks for the advice, I have found the picture enhancement in the toshiba utilities but there is no monitor in option, I just have picture tweaking bits and bobs. Thanks though. Anyone got any more ideas? cheers!

Thunderbirdd just beeps when I try and share a file by it.

On numbers for Mac, if you click the share by mail button and select Thunderbird, it just beeps and does nothing. You be to drag and drop attachments in.

If the reset doesn't work, you have to force the iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

My ipad asks me repeatedly if I want to "trust this computer" whenever I plug it in to my desktop PC and I can't get it to just connect and be able to sync or access files.

Whenever I plug my iPad into my desktop PC (windows 8.1), the "trust this computer?" popup keeps displaying on my iPad. I tap it but it just beeps and a few moments later it shows up again. Meanwhile, itunes keeps giving me error messages and giving me the message "Do you want to allow this computer to access information on this ipad?" I click continue but the ipad keeps giving me the trust this computer message every 3 seconds. I've never been able to sync this ipad with my computer yet because of this problem. Any suggestions?

I finally was able to solve my problem. I'm not sure why it happened but after updating my iPad to the most recent iOS, it works just fine. I had iOS 8 before, but it was the first release, not the update. I have the latest iTunes on my computer so maybe they weren't compatible. Anyway, if anyone else is having this problem, make sure everything is up to date.

Trying to run a script (java) - it just beeps

Using InDesign 5.5, Mac 10.7.3 - every time I try to run a java script, it just beeps and does nothing. Applescripts run OK. There's no error message or anything .. just a beep ... then ... nothing.What would cause that behaviour?

Giving specific examples is what leads to solutions.
While it does not sound like a specific script is the problem here, it is a burden to try to assist you if you cannot answer direct questions.
I recall someone else having this problem a month or two ago in the main forum. I don't believe a resolution was reached.
If you could tell us the specific script, I could ask you some diagnostic questions like whether the problem is specific to a user account, and whether you have trashed your prefrences. But since you can't, I can't ask you those questions.

Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

RAM Problems after update and Restart. 3 beeps with led. Memories and Slots work alone, but together the problem continues.

I make some updates and restart my Macbook Pro, and the screen became Grey with 3 beeps with Led.
I read it could be the RAM memory. So I opened it and tried to reconected them.. but the problem continues.. So I asume it was one of the memories or one of the Slots... But when I tried them separetly all the Slots and memories worked... But togheter the problems continues.
Any suggestion?
The Mac worked perfect! There where just some updates...and before the restart, a pop up appeared saying that the updates could not be done because of an error... after that... the restart, the grey screen, and the 3 beeps with 3 leds.

Have you tried putting back the original memory and seeing if that works?
Also if you could tell us the mode of the MBP, how much memory was in it and what you are upgrading to it would help.

Make sure it is charged for about 10min using the adapter, then connect in recovery mode, explained in this article:

That normally indicates an issue with system memory. The startup sequence can't complete the boot due to a memory issue. Take it in for service.
