There seems to be a business card jammed in the automatic document feeder which is not allowing the paper to go through. Is there anyway that I can get it out

Scanning multiple pages into one document with an automatic document feeder

when using automatic document feeder to scan in multiple pages - using the Image Capture app, this process does not work for more than 2 pages. However works perfectly in PC environment.
Using a MacBook Pro with 10.8.4 and a Lexmark Interpret 405S All In One Scanner.
Is there any other all in one device that can perform this function in a Mac environment?
Please advise.

I see by your post that you would like to know how to scan multiple pages into one file. I would like to help you out today.
From the HP Scan Software, click on the link for Advanced Settings, then uncheck Create a separate file for each scanned page.
Here is a URL for how to scan and change the settings. Just select your operating system.

Acrobat 10 not Scanning all Pages from ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)

Acrobat 10 does not scan all of the pages from the Automatic Document Feeder from an attached scanner, and only scans some of the pages. The ADF works fine with the built-in Windows 7 Scan and Fax, as well as with HP's software, but it just won't work with Adobe Acrobat for whatever reason. The scanners that we are using are brand new, and the model is: LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276mw. The issue has been duplicated on four computers and two scanners, in a Windows 7 x64 Enterprise environment. Thank you for the suggestion! We wound up figuring out a way to make their "full feature" software (which does include the TWAIN drivers) install mostly silently, and install only if they've connected the device locally to their computer, as noted in the other post that was submitted a few minutes ago. I really appreciate all of the help that you’ve given us!
In order to duplicate the WIA driver issue, use only the “HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color M276 PCL6 Print Driver (no installer)” (LJ-Pro-200-color-MFP-M276-driver-only-13170.exe) driver package. This driver only package doesn’t appear to have any of the files you mentioned in your previous post in the Scan_App folder for the TWAIN functionality (but those files are available in the “full feature” setup). We copied the entire “driver-only” folder to our plug and play driver folder, and the drivers automatically install. Once they get installed, there isn’t a TWAIN option anywhere to be found in any scanning application, just the WIA driver as far as I can tell. Adobe Acrobat 10 when using the ADF then skips some pages when scanning.
However, now that you’ve found the install files for the TWAIN driver for the scanner, this should be a non-issue for people as they can just install those and use TWAIN instead, so thank you!
Also, I find it rather amusing that you were able to help us with what appears to be an HP issue far better and faster than HP did or could. We spoke with seven people at HP, and not a single one of them pointed us in any useful direction or provide us with any useful information on the matter; had we followed any of their advice we would have lost countless hours (one person suggested taking the scanners apart and thoroughly cleaning the rollers, even though it was clearly stated they work fine from a hardware perspective with the full feature software installed and that they are brand new). So anyway, thank you. If you require anything else from us, let me know.

Multiple contacts in one business card in Address book

Does anyone know if it is possible to add more then one contact into the same card. I have business contacts where sometimes I have two reps I work with. It would be great to have them on the same business card in the Addy book.
Any ideas.

You may need to use Add Field in Preferences/Templates to turn it on for new cards, or Card/Add Field for individual cards. Once on it can have label values such as "Friend" "Father" "Assistant" etc, or of course you can set your own. You put a name in the value portion of the field; subsequently clicking on the label allows opening of the card with the related name. You can have multiple related names on a contact card.
Unfortunately you can't set up the link automatically; it would be nice if you could drop one card on another and it would prompt you for which related field label to use.
You could for example have a master card for some company that you do business with, and on that card put links to the various people within the company.

Lenovo C200 All in One Wireless card issues

I have a brand new Lenovo C200 Atom DC 2 All In One PC (Desktop). I seem to have a problem with the wireless adaptor which is a Atheros AR9285. When I first power up the PC it connects to my router and gets internet speeds of around 5MB per sec, after a few minutes it spows down to around 120kb per sec! I called Lenovo support and after holding for 50 mins to get through I was told that I needed to contact my internet service provider who would be able to change the channel on the PC and improve things!
I have seven other PC's connected to my router and none of them have any problem. Also I cant transfer files from my central storage drive with the Lenovo because the connection times out because it is so slow. I am convinced it is a problem with the wireless card, there is nothing else that could possibly cause this that I can see. Also this is the 2nd Lenovo with the same fault, I sent the original one back and this is a replacement.
Technical support are supposed to be calling me back tomorrow but I dont hold out much hope with them after they told me to speak to my internet service provider.
Has anyone got any ideas what I could do to cure the issue?

OK after many hours of searching I found the problem, the issue isn't exactly with the Lenovo although you would expect them to supply a wireless card that is compatible with Windows 7!
The issue is with the Atheros AR9285 wireless card, if you Google the Atheros card you will find numerous posts where people have had issues with this, there isn't any one straightforward fix, it seems dependent on what router you are using and how you have things set up.
I played around with my router settings and the settings on the Lenovo and finally found a configuration that worked for me, the Lenovo dosent like some channels on the router but does others, if anyone else gets this I would recommend changing the router setting from auto channel select to one channel between 1 and 11 to find one that works best. That seemed to fix
mine.
Thanks a bunch Lenovo support, call my internet service provider, yeh right! Also when you keep people waiting on hold for 50 mins before answering a simple "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting" would be nice not an argument with your CS rep saying "You haven't been on hold for that long".
Anyone with the most basic knowledge should know that if files can not be transferred from a central drive by the wireless card its nothing to do with the internet service provider!

Setting up WiFi for a 7280 All-in-One Printer

I have a C7280 All in One printer. I set up the wireless but cannot find instructions to set up wifi on the printer. The book that came with the printer does not address wifi. Is it possible to download anything to enable the printer to be wifi?

C6180 All In One Printer only prints 1 page per document after Windows 7 64 bit upgrade

I loaded the software for my Photosmart C6180 all-in-one printer as part of a computer upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. My printer is networked and everyone else in the house can print to this printer with no problem. However, whenever I try to print a document I only am able to print the last page of a multiple page document. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver/software package multiple times to no avail.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

HP 7280 all-in-one says ink cartridges are empty and will not print from PC, but it copies fine.

Replaced 2 ink cartridges in hp 7280 but still says both cartridges are empty and will not print from PC, but it will copy fine. When I try to print I get a error box that says "Ink cartridges empty - replace black and yellow ink cartridges to continue." They are brand new - just bought them - expiration date Sep 2015. Have tried rebooting and disconnecting and reconnecting everything. Same error, but it still will do color copies fine - all cartridges are working. Help?!

I understand you have a Photosmart C7280 that you are unable to print to from your computer. I'm sorry to hear about this, but I will certainly do my best to assist you in resolving this issue.
Before I can offer any suggestions I do need to know which version of Windows or Mac that you're using and how the printer is connected (wireless or USB). Once I have that information I should be able to help you better. HP 7280 All-in=one - can you automatically print the fax log?

On my old HP, you could set a regular day for it to automatically print fax logs. I can't find that setting on the HP 7280 (Win 7 computer), and I often forget to print out a log. (and nothing appears in the fax log box from the HP Solutions Center).
Does anyone know if there is a way to set up a log auto print? Or retrieve faxes from prior to the last 30? thanks

I just wanted to respond with the information I have found. Click here and start on page 142 to read about printing the faxes in the memory. Also, I do not personally believe you can reprint faxes older than 30 days from the history.

Photosmart 7280 All-in-One makes a weird squeeky noise when photo printing. Why?

Since purchase it has made this squeeky noise when printing a picture using the photo tray (4 x 6 w/tab). When the photo paper (or photo tray?) is going through to begin the print job. Once the photo paper gets to that point of printing the photo, I no longer hear that squeeky sound.
I've looked, searched and cleaned every where I dare to but it still makes that sound. I've had this printer for two plus years and the photo's turn out just fine as well as any other type print/copy functions I use.
Any ideas?

Photosmart C 7280 all-in-one

The paper does not always feed straight causing ruined 2 sided bridge tallies. Is there something I can do to fix this problem?

Is it dog-earing the RHS of the leading edge of the paper?
If yes, I believe there is a malfunction of the "strange little black plastic finger" that the RHS leading edge hits the instant the page starts its feed.
The finger has bumps on it so the edge of the paper cannot slide which would cause the paper to buckle when fed.
However, the finger is cam actuated by a complicated mechanism made of small, light weight black plastic parts.
It is my belief that this mechanism is somehow malfunctioning so that this finger is NOT retracted resulting in the consistent dog earing of the paper.
I successfully removed the cover from a 7260 which I think is probably near identical and discovered this mechanism.
Unfortunately, these printers are obviously not meant to be serviced like a HP 4 Laserjet. This is further apparent when you see the complete absense of any helpful postings on the internet which is really quite unusual.

HP Officejet All-in-one Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Roller

I have a problem which I believe is mechanical. The roller on the ADF will not descend to the pressure plate when I try to copy or fax from the ADF. I talked to the online chat people and they kept trying to get me to remove the faceplate and clean the rollers (which I had already done).
I'm thinking something which would normally cause the roller to descend became unhooked. I searched but can not find any schematic for the ADF on HP's web site nor on google. Would appreciate any suggestions on how I might repair this problem or obtain a schematic so I could try to repair the problem.

I have a similar problem. It appears that the first gear on the main crossbar does not drop down and hold when trying to feed paper. There doesn't appear to be a broken or missing part. I can rotate the sleeve covering the crossbar and manually drop the gear so it meshes with the gear that drives the pickup roller, but it resets and lifts when I try to feed documents. Still looking for a fix.

Office Jet 5510 All in One - Why Can't I delete a document from the queue?

In what is becoming an infuriatingly more frequent problem, my printer is jamming up when feeding the paper. When I clear the paper, the document in the printer queue (, or however you spell that) is stuck there, it won't delete, even after rebooting the computer, and it won't finish printing. I'm getting sick of deleting the printer from my computer and re-installing it, there must be something else I can do when this happens. If anyone can tell me what that is, I'll be eternally grateful.
