HP PSC1210 connected to express stopped working on PC

Hi,
It looks like many people have had the same problem I have - my HP PSC 1210 all in one printer has just stopped working when connected to my airport express. The PC is connected to a Netgear WGR614 v4 wireless router, and the Airport Express is across the room. This setup worked flawlessly for atleast a month.
I tried every suggestion posted to this list to get it working including:
- unlug Airport Express, turn printer off, turn printer on, plug in express
- deleting and reinstalling printer
- the efelix site
- resetting the airpost express, deleting and reinstalling software
- Distribute IP addresses in Airport Admin is unchecked
Still, every time I print to the HP printer connected to the Airport Express from my desktop or laptops, I get an "Error - Printing" message in the print Queue, and my computer slows way down. I can not delete the print job unless I stop the Print Spooler service and start it again.
Could someone please help me get my printer printing again?
By the way, Airport Admin does recognize the printer.
Thank you very much,
John

Thanks very much. Bonjour for Windows worked (at least for now). I had to search my hard drive for the drivers, so I chose the first .inf file that started with hp (after autorun.ini) out of the list of those installed with my HP printer in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital Imaging\long string of numbers.
That seemed to work. I did get a message saying "argument is invalid" but the remote printer appeared in my printers and faxes list anyway. I printed a page successfully.
Hope this helps other people.

  • Express stopped working today

My Express stopped working today. Moved it from a plug where it had been working to another and no I can't see it from my Mac, though I can see it from my Windows laptop as a live wireless connection, it shows up on the PC as Apple Network 5f7ea1, but is absent from my Mac.
I've reset it, and confirmed it has version 6.1.1 installed (the updater could see it) , but I can't get AirPort admin to see it from either computer. Now it just displays a blinking amber light and doesn't work.

I've seen references to "Turn it off" before, but the only way to do that is unplug it. Or am I missing something? I've unplugged it a few times to no avail.
For the record, I'm connecting to this from an Extreme base station.

I am trying to move a pdf file onto my iPad2, and it says that the device is not connected or has stopped working.  But Windows 7 recognizes the device and I can see my pictures.  Same thing happens when I try to put music onto the iPad.

When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up.

  • Satellite T110 - WLan connection has recently stopped working

I have a Toshiba Satellite T110 with Windows 7 Home Premium.
The wireless connection has recently stopped working, with the yellow exclamation mark showing over the device symbol.
On looking at the driver management screen, the following message is shown.
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
Nothing I have tried seems to shake this error.
I tried the Toshiba assist diagnostic tool. It simply says the Wireless Connection failed its test.
I don't know how problem came about because the system worked for about three weeks without a hitch, but I would like to know if anyone else has any experience at solving this problem.
I could try a rebuild, but I'd prefer not to loose my OS.

Yes, I downloaded the driver, and re-installed it so it over wrote the existing driver and the WLAN came back and works OK, using it now.
THis issue was more complicated than I initially thought and I pass it on to help/warn others.
All my LAN connections were lost, while I was using a public open connection. I suspect a virus. I still have parts of the LAN hardware out, but not stuff I am currently using.
The Toshiba recovery options were in fact quite limited, without an ability to access all the dud drivers, other than each by hand. A painful process.
THanks for your help. Another 'gator sunk.

  • Airport Express stopped working...

My airport express stopped working some time ago so I bought a new one so I could play my music remotely again. My ld one just "disappeared" , it no longer showed on iTunes. I am having problems setting the new one up. I am using airport utilities and going through all the prompts. It is making me join my existing wireless network. At the end when it goes to restart, I get an error message "Airport utility was unable to find your Apple wireless device after restarting".
    I am stuck, any suggestions?

    Quick check list
Is your AE firmware updated to 7.3.2?
    Is your OS 10.5.4?
Is your Airport Utility software 5.3.2?
What are you using for a wireless base station? is it a combo modem / router, or are you using an Apple Extreme Base Station in bridge mode with a third party router?
All of the above are possible issues.
Provide some more detail in your post and the group will be more likely to be able to help
    Cheers

  • Had a Airport Express connected to my stereo and it was working.  I brought an Airport Extreme and suddenly it took over and Airport Express stopped working and disappeared from Airport Utility. What I am supposed to do?  ar2ro

I have an Airport Express connected to my stereo and it was working without any problem.
Recently I bought an Airport Extreme to use it as my Base Unit connecting it to my DSL.
I followed the instructions of the Airport Utility, and it started working.
Suddenly, problems started happen the Airport express that was connected to the stereo , stopped working and it disappeared from the Airport Utility area , as it did not exist in the network. I tried to reset it but it did not appear in the Airport Utility page.
Apparently I have other problems with the private network that it created because I cannot use it because of problems with the password that was created.  I can only use the network that  I created for my guest...
I dont know if my problem is a configuration problem or  there is problem with the equipment.
I read that other users where having the same problem with the Airport express , using non apple equipment as their base unit , but I thought that using the Airport Extreme was going to be compatible and no problems would happen.
    What should I do?

    Common Problem. Common solution.
Connect your Express via ethernet cable to the Mac while other network connections on the Mac are switched OFF.
After the Express shows up, change the settings of the Express to join the existing network. Take the appr. settings.
Unplug and reconnect your Mac to the network.
Check if the Express shows up in Airport Utility
    Alternative solution:
Hardreset the Express to factory settings
(while on power push the Pin next to the audio plug with a paperclip. Plug out the Express still holding down the little button then replug the Express to power and release button)
After that, the Express will show up in the Airport Utility.
    Make all needed settings.
I would prefer the first solution, its easier just to plug a cat5 cable.

  • I am using Outlook 2010 on a PC with Windows 7 and was effectively using iclould to synch it with my ipad and iphone.  Within the last month the connection to icloud stopped working.

I can still see Icloud contacts and calendar on my outlook, but it is not synching with the cloud.  I can't seem to pinpoint when it stopped working.  Help!

Are you sure that you have the iCloud control panel downloaded and installed?
You should also check the iCloud add in. Click the File menu. Then click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window. Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window. Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" make sure "iTunes Outlook add-in" and "iCloud Outlook Add-in" are selected.
To add enable the add-ins, in the Manage box at the bottom of the Outlook Options window, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go. In the COM Add-Ins dialog, navigate to the iCloud add in and and you should be able to enable them.
Once you have the refresh button, the push connection is ON again
Let me know if it work

  • SBS 2011 RWA "Connect" Button randomly stop working

I have an SBS 2011 Standard Server that recently has had problems with its RWA site.  Periodically, the "Connect" buttons on the RWA Page for workstations simply stops working.  You can not establish a remote desktop connection via the
site to workstation or server.  None of the workstations or servers registered is accessible.  When you click on the link, it does nothing and provides no error code.
To restore the feature, I have to restart the RD Gateway Service and Reset IIS.  Once the services are restarted the "connect" links work fine for anywhere from 12-48 hours before the next failure.   I have checked the event logs and
found no errors as to why the service stops, and when I restart RD Gateway, it still indicates its running.  After about every 3rd or 4th failure, you have to reboot the server to restore the service.
Anyone seen this type of problem?  The server was fine and stable up until about 3 weeks ago?  Any help or insight would be appreciated.  Thanks.

  • Connect Add in stop working when sharing camera

When sharing the camera, the error message with connect add-in comes up and then the meeting is crashed.(used IE)
I've learnt that addin is only related to the function of sharing screen ,not camera.
Anyway it happened and I've tried many things like deleting and downloading the latest addin / Flash Player and using other browser as well.
Redownloading was not helpful on this matter.
Using Chrome seemed OK,  but after that, I knew other collegue still has the problem, who uses chrome.
Apparently both are not a real solution for this situation...Those ways are unstable.
    Why is it happened?
Actually sharing webcam worked at the first few days, but suddenly the problem is taking place.
Please let me know if anybody know how I can handle this issue....
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Scarlett,
You mentioned that there was an error that you got before your addin stopped working. Can you please let us know what exactly is the error that you are getting?
Also, are you using Addin or browser? It is unclear from your statements above as at one place you wrote that the addin crashed and at another you mentioned you used IE and Chrome (which seemed to work fine).
Can you also give us details about your Adobe Connect account, for instance, Connect version, Licensed/Hosted, Addin version you have etc.. Also, other info like OS, hardware specifics etc will be helpful.
    Thanks
    Sameer Puri

  • Airport Express Stops Working

Dear All, My Airport Express just stopped working. I tried to reset it (while plugged in, use a pin to punch the reset hole) but the amber light keeps blinking. Is this normal? Or have I done anything wrong? I truly appreciate your input.
    Jimmy Chiu

A persistent, flashing amber light indicates that any of the several potential conditions may require your attention:
o The base station has not yet been configured because it is new, or the reset switch has been set.
o You have selected a security configuration that is not recommended.
o One of several other conditions, such as a disconnected Ethernet cable or invalid IP address has been detected.
    (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305101)
If you run the AirPort Utility, it will show an amber circle on the summary page next to the area(s) causing the problem. Click on this amber circle and it should provide an explanation.

  • Quick Connect VPN client stopped working - now won't uninstall

I've been using the Cisco QuickVPN client for months, then it stopped working...doesn't get past "Connecting..." (and other clients are still able to connect to our RSV4000 router without issue).  So I finally decided to just install and reinstall the software, except now I can't even do that...it gets hung at "Preparing Installation" in the InstallShield Wizard.  Can you help me get this uninstalled so I can start from scratch please???

Just to let you know..  I fixed MY problem..  I get my machine to  connect to a different wifi network and run quickvpn to the same rv082  (the other end of tunnel) and guess what it is now working!  Even when I  hook my laptop to my original wireless network, my quickvpn is now  connecting to same endpoint as before.  I powered down my system  numerous time and have no problem.  I don't know whether this lady's  quickvpn problem is same as mine but i would suggest her to bring her  machine (hopefully it is a laptop) to a different router and see if her  quickvpn is now connecting!

  • Airport Express Stops working when broadcast is turned off

    Router: Linksys WRT54G version 2
    Using: Airport Express
Purpose of Airport Express: To enable wireless speakers.
After a lot of trouble with the router and eventually having to update all router firmware, changing the type of security the router was working, etc I finally have the router up and running.
Everything is working fine but the last step I'd like to do is not have my SSID broadcast. As soon as I stop broadcasting the network the extreme loses it's connection.
The audio bridge I used before (Sondigo) hasn't updated it's drivers for windows 7 in months so I switched to the airport express but the audio bridge didn't need the SSID to be broadcast to work once it was connected to the wireless network.
Is it possible to have the SSID NOT broadcast and the extreme to continue to extend + broadcast the wireless speakers?
    Thanks!

Welcome to the discussion area, Carl M!
You'll enhance your chances of the AirPort Express joining the hidden Linksys network if you "hard reset" the AirPort Express by holding in the reset button until the amber light blinks more quickly, then release.
Configure the Express again to "join" your Linksys wireless network. Since the network will not appear as a choice to join, you'll have to type in the exact name of your network, security and password to give the Express the best chance to connect.
This procedure will sometimes work, sometimes not. Might be worth a try.

  • Airport Express stopped working with my Airport Extreme Network

Hi. I have an airport extreme as my base station and I have an express that is used to extend the network and plug into my stereo to allow for streaming music from iTunes. The system has worked great for months and now suddenly the extreme dropped. The light used to be solid green but now its yellow. I've reset the express to factory settings and now its blinking yellow. I can't figure out how to get it back online. Any help would be appreciated. It seems like an airport utility program could do this but I can't seem to find it on my Macbook Pro.
    Tim

Sorry...I meant to say that the express dropped. The extreme still works fine and gives me good internet connectivity.

  • I have an Airport Extreme as my wifi hub and an Airport Express to beam music. All of a sudden the Express stopped working and I get the error message "this version of Airport Utility does not support this base station".  All my software is up to date and

I have a WiFi system in the house that uses the Airport Extreme for a hub and an older Express for sending music from my Mac to my sound system. Everything worked great till yesterday. When I go to Networks I see the Extreme and I see the Express but the Express is no longer connected and I get an error message "this version of AirPort Utility doesn't support this base station".  Any ideas?

This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if  that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express.

  • Connection for panel stops working

I activate a panel from several pushbuttons by setting Panel.activate=Pb1 or Pb2 or Pb3 or ...
This seems to work until I close the process and then open it again - the panel will not activate. When I rebuild the above statement from scratch, it works again? What am I doing wrong? Is this a Lookout (5.1) bug?

Sometimes Lookout "forgets" things it's supposed to do when done through expressions. The proper way to do this would be to (in object explorer), right click your panel and go to edit connections. Select the activate data member (I prefer to use the maximize data member instead), and make your connection "pb1 or pb2 or pb3" then click accept and you are in business.
