HT201089 I don't want my 5 year old child to get prompted for her iTunes password when she clicks on install or buy.
II'd like her to get a prompt to Ask Permission only. Most children can't remember complex passwords. Kids don't have any CC info so I don't see the need for a password prompt every time. It should be an option at least, since I'm sure some young kids will press install/buy on everything and spam the parents with requests!
This is not a feature request site. Use Apple Feedback instead.

I have an iPhone 3gs and since I made the 6.01 update everytime I want to join a wireless network I get the same error "incorrect password" when I now it's correct, any one have a solution for this? Tks
I would say that you would want to look into the "Exchange Mode" for GMail. That would allow your iPhone to sync calendars, contacts and email with GMail just fine. Doing the same with your outlook should also then sync those same with your PC using Outlook. I've done teh iPhone side of this, but I since I don't run Lookout for my email client, I'm not sure how that will work on the PC side.

apple boosted of 200 improvements/changes to ios 6. I have yet to find more than 15. does anyone know where these can be found? I hate not running an os I don't want, but after hearing about ios 7, I think 6 is the lesser of 2 evils and installed it.

I Have followed all the steps and still cant remove iCloud to my existing account and add to the new one, the old email account was changed a year ago and cant get that email plus the password don't work please HELP!
Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I jailbreaked my iPhone 5 and now i don't want the jailbreak any more so i restored the iphone without iTunes and then it turned it self off and now its stuck on the black screen with the loading sign. So please how can i turn my iPhone on again?
I figured it out by pressing the home button and the off button but when i turn my phone on again it's not restored. And when i try to restore it with iTunes it has to update but i can't update my phone because it's jailbreaked but if i can't update it, it won't restore the phone.

My photos are showing on my Apple TV (I assume through the iCloud) and I don't want them to. How can I get them off Apple TV and make sure this does not happen again?

I accidentally bought an app i don't want, is there any way i can get the credit back on my account?
Apple usually offers a refund one time. You need to decide if this purchase is the one that you wish to use that one-time refund with.

I have just found out my 10 year old has spent £721.77 on my iTunes account in the last 6 days. My bank can't help me and there is no one available from Apple to help me at all. What on earth am I going to do? Am in tears here. I am a single mother and my rent is due at the end of this week!!!!
You've tried contacting iTunes Support ? Purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting them via this page and see what they say : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
If the purchases were done on an iOS device, then to try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions on it to turn off in-app purchases, and to require your password to be entered for every download (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering). You can also hide the App Store ('Installing Apps' set 'off') and the iTunes store app via the Restrictions screen. -
My system is Mac HD OX S 10.8.5. I want to upgrade 10.9.1 and have downloaded it. However, to install it I am prompted for the Admin Password. I don't believe one was ever set up. I have tried my Apple Id Password but not accepted, Advice appreciated?
If you have 10.8.5 you don't have a PowerPC Mac (PPC). PPC is for pre-2006 Macs. Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to make sure you have an Intel Mac and that you didn't flip the 5 and 8 in your operating system indication. If you actually have 10.5.8 but you have Intel it gets a lot more complicated to install 10.9.
10.5.8 is the maximum for PowerPC.
10.6 can be upgraded on Intel with this tip:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2455
And it also help you get up to 10.6.6 or 10.6.8 as needed.
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6271
will help someone with 10.5.8 determine if they are ready to jump to 10.7 or later.
If you have 10.8.5, you must install 10.9.0 first (free from the Mac App Store) to get to 10.9.1.
Backup your data:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1992
and check http://www.roaringapps.com/ and your printer, scanner, and peripheral drivers are compatible with third party vendors before upgrading to 10.9. -
I was using a different itune id and now a new one but when i want to update the old app its always asking for my old app id.
Is there a way to change my old app to my new id so that i dont have to use my old id?There is no other way you can do now. Actually, you don't need to create a new Apple ID account, you can change the Apple ID from old email account to other email accout easily by all the steps below.
1, Open iTunes > iTunes Store > log in old Apple ID > Click on your apple ID on the right hand side on top > choose account > Apple ID > Edit
As long as you only change your Apple ID, then all the old apps are still under your new email account as well as you can keep downloading new apps. -
Hi,
I want to rebuild my g/f's lost itunes as a surprise. What is the easiest and stealthiest way to buy tracks via my macbook for her itunes? To be clear I don't want to buy her vouchers I want to buy the songs myself. I don't have access to her itunes account and to ask would give the game away. I don't want to own or listen to the songs myself but I struggle to think of an approach that doesn't involve some sort of piracy.
She currently has zero tracks having lost them all so the only thing I can think of is starting an entirely new account in her name and filling it and then giving it to her on a hard drive. Is this the best way to go about it?
Many thanks,
AndrewThere is no really good way to do what you want. Any tracks you purchase via your own iTunes Store account are for your personal use, tied to your iTunes Store account, and can't be given to anyone else. If you don't want to gift the tracks to her and can't access her iTunes Store account, the only option other than creating her a completely new iTunes Store account (which will require a new email address for her) is to buy the CDs those tracks are on.

How do i sign up my 15 year old child for an ios developer account
I'd like to sign up my 15 year old child for an ios developer account but need some assistance with the process.
You don't.
You need to make the account in your name and then allow your child to use it. -
My probably 10 year old MaycBook died. It won't start. When I press the power button, it gets power, but it only lights up and a scratching noise starts like something is spinning. A file folder with a question mark periodically flashes... Help!!!
You don't have a Macbook if you are running OS 9 and it's 10 years old. The first Macbook is an Intel Mac that came out in 2006 running 10.4.x. You most likely have a Powerbook. Try posting in the Powerbook forum.
A flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac -
ok so we bought an ipod touch for my daughter and when she connected it to the computer after she downloaded itunes, she was asked if it was her ipod or a new one, so she clicked on her ipod and lost all her recent pics plus is unable to locate the app store on her safari on her ipod touch. any suggestions as to what went wrong or what should be done ? should we restore or what?
much appreciated if there is anyone else who had this happen to them.- The iPod got erased since it sounds iTunes identified that the iPod has been synced with another computer and she said yes to making this computer her syncing computer. It could also she restored the iPod from the backup of another iPod, iPhone or iPad that was in iTunes. If in iTunes you go to Preferences>Devices is there a backup listed for her iPod with a date/time when she first connected the iPod to the computer. If so then restore the iPod from that backup.
iOS: How to back up
Note synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup,
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Regarding the App store. The App store is not in Safari. It is a separate app. Also, could the Apple store be hidden by Restrictions? Settings>General>Restrictions. Further, can you find the App store via the Spotlight search on the iPod?
