Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

iPad lost it's "touch screen" you can't turn it on because you can't slide the slider. I did a simple reset, and then a full reinstall from iTunes - neither worked. Any ideas? We are a school so I can't even afford a "chat" with Apple. So thank your help.

I have no idea what happen I just got on my ipad to face time with a friend and I lost my Wi-Fi signal then. My friend called me back on face time and I couldn’t use my Ipad and I don’t know what happened. And I looked it up online to see how to fix this I found an article on apple saying how to fix this problem. So I fallowed the directions and it told me to plug in my device and to restore the IoS software on the iTunes summary pane. Anyways long story short is that I can access my ipad to do this because I have a password on my ipad so I can do this reboot.
So I am going to let my battery run down and see it that fixes the problem.
Conclusion
The main problem I am having is I cannot shut down my ipad because I can’t slide over the shutdown slide.
And I can’t do the recovery software on iTunes because my ipad is locked. And this is my dilemmaFirst Try This...

Is this a cable modem? It has to be off for at least 20min and sometimes much longer before it will give up the old settings. You might even need to power down the cable modem overnight.
Tell us exactly what broadband you have with what ISP and exact model of modem..
The new TC cannot be setup without using the latest airport utility 6.3.1 or 6.3.2 and you need Lion - Mavericks to use it.
The computer also needs to have ipv6 setup to local link on whatever you are connecting with, wireless or ethernet. -

Help, my iphone 5 is locked and will not function! I've turned it off and on and it has the same fault. What ever you press on the screen highlights with a box round it. When you press the round button with the square in the centre the voice on the phone tells you the time. Then the voice says screen lock. If I try and unlock the phone the voice says phone unlock but you can't put the code in. If you hight the box it will say the number but not put the code in?! What's the crack?

Claire, please post your machine specs as requested. There are some variants of the MBP with specific hardware issues. Example: the older "silver key" MBPs with 2.2Ghz and faster processors can have a defective video chipset that produces a black screen or distorted video. It's too late. If you had been syncing your phone with that computer prior to the screen failing, it wouldn't be asking you for a passcode...
