  • My purchase history shows an audiobook I purchased but my iTunes wont let me download it.

    Last year I purchased the audiobook Sh*t my dad says on my iPod Touch, My purchase history shows that I did in fact for pay this audiobook, but my iTunes says I have never purchased a book. My old computer was destroyed, so I have no access to the file. How do I retrieve this purchase if my iTunes thinks I never bought it? I obviously did if it appears in my purchase history?

    You don't.
    You buy one and only one download.  It is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
    Sorry.

    Would be problems with purchases, billing, and redemption option.  It's not 100% exact to your issue, but it will get you to the right department.
    Go here https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do then select ITunes, then Store, then Purchases, Billing, and Redemption.  Then.. probably pick "My topic is not listed."

  • Ensuring that variable is initialized only once in a movieclip

    Guys, what is the way to ensure that variable is initialized only once in each instance of a movieclip?
    I tried:
    if (!isLocked)
        trace("setting up isLocked variable");
          var isLocked:Boolean = new Boolean(false);//I need this variable to be initialized only once for each instance of this movieclip and to value of false
    but this doesn't work.
    Any ideas?

    Note that new Boolean() makes zero sense. And this is the beef I have with the convention of checking for existence with !someVariable. Because inexperienced programmers will use that logic with Boolean (which always exists if you're checking it, but is either true or false) or Numbers, which might exist with a value of zero and will make that expression false.
    Try
    if (!this.hasOwnProperty('isLocked')) {
         var isLocked:Boolean = true;
    This may not work because of variable hoisting in AS. It's hard to know what the addFrameScript code will do to this in the background.
    Note that you can avoid this by using a proper Class with accessors and mutators and avoiding timeline code.

  • Not all my purchase history showing up for redownload

    OK, so I'm enjoying iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 and finally have access to download previous purchases directly from the iTunes app. The thing is, not all my songs or albums are showing up as available to redownload. I took a look at my history through iTunes on my Mac, and I can locate the purchase in my store history, but yet no option to redownload.
    An I missing something here? Is there a licensing issue or restriction on certain songs or albums preventing redownloading? When I friend reporting the problem, the iTunes rep emailed that I wasn't eligible for a refund, which isn't what I'm looking for.

    Well after sending a second email I got a more helpful response instead of just "not eligible for refund":
    I understand that you are unable to download entire album using iCloud feature. I can certainly appreciate your eagerness to get this resolved as soon as possible, and I'll be glad to help you.
    xxxxxxxx, the iTunes Store gives you the ability to download your past purchases without incurring additional charges as long as what you want to download is shown on your Purchased page. This does not include any item that has been modified or removed from the store since you purchased it. If you don't see what you want to download in the list, it may have been removed or modified since you purchased it, and no longer available for download.
    I took a look at the Scream album for example, and noticed there is a difference. When I originally purchased the album, it was a preorder, and had an extra song with it (#12). Now that the preorder doesn't exist, my album is considered "modified or removed" from the iTunes store. I have other songs (single purchases) not showing up, but I can't tell if the albums were changed.
    How much modification would cause this is unknown to me... Change of description? Price? Album cover? I find this very disappointing. I was hoping iTunes and iCloud would make it more "secure" to purchase digital media. Anyways, just be sure to backup any digital downloads.

  • HT204088 There is a charge on my cc bill for $3.99, but no such charge is listed in my purchase history.  What is this charge for?

    There is a charge on my credit card bill for $3.99, I cannot figure out what it is for.  I searched my purchase history, and nothing comes up that could be it.  Can somebody help me with this?  I am starting to think that maybe it is a subscrption to something...but don't know what it could be.  This is the second month in a row I have seen that charge.

    If this is the second month that it's occured then it might be a subscription - there are instructions for checking if you have any, and how to stop them, on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098

  • HT204088 See purchase history on iPad

    Im trying to check my purchase history, but I can't seem to be able to get there on my iPad. Suggestions

    No - how would you propose to "amend history"?
    Here is how to view your purchase history:
    On a computer with iTunes installed, click purchase history to have iTunes open and display your purchase history. You will be prompted for your Apple ID and password.

    I purchased a movie that don't play & a cd but only 2 songs play

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music and films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete music tracks and the film from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music and/or films or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and/or film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • HT204088 How do I find out what charges are for on my bank statement

    Outrageous charges posted to bank account associated with apple- id. I can't tell what they are for. How do I find out?

    If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it - if you click on that then you should then see a list of your purchases with the most recent at the top. I'm not sure if that shows auto-renewing subscriptions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
    If there is a charge on there that you don't recognise then you can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
    If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • My bank, First Direct, informs me that I am unable to print off my bank statements if I am using Firefox as my browser due to a change in Firefox software.

    I have recently changed my browser to Firefox and can no longer print my on-line bank statements. I have queried this with my bank, First Direct, and I am informed that this is due my using Firefox and a recent change to Firefox software. I am using XP and have the latest Adobe software. Your help, please. I notice that other users have registered similar problems.

    Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have or may not function properly otherwise.
    You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
    You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
    You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.

  • HT203167 how can i recover past purchases from iTunes that were bought under my account but were on a different computer that is now dead? I have a new computer but my past purchases are seemingly gone.

    I had an old DELL in college and a 120gig ipod.  Both the computer and ipod have, "gone to a better place," and now i have a MAC Book Pro and the iphone 4.  On my old computer i had bought and downloaded various tv shows, movies, and music from itunes.  I am wondering if it is possible to recover those products that I had bought a few years ago and transfer them onto my new computer and itunes account.  They are seemingly lost and it bothers me because I bought them and I feel as if they should be mine regardless of having a new computer and iphone.  Somebody please help me.  thank you

    Depending upon what country that you are in (the types of content that can be re-downloaded varies by country), and whether they are still in the store, you might be able to re-download some/all of them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the left-hand side of the iTunes store home page : re-downloading.

  • How can I download my past purchases that are not in my icloud?  Somehow I lost songs that I purchased they say that the orginal files are gone but I did not delete them

    How can I download past purchases that are not in my icloud?  Somehow I lost songs it says that the orginal files can not be located.  They are still available in the store but it doesn't give me the option to download them.  I did not delete any songs or files but I am missing a lot of files

    The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.
    If you have to resort to trying to pull back the library from your iPod see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
    Note also that if iTunes has an entry for a song, even if that entry is broken, then it won't offer that track for download since it "thinks" you already have it. If you can't find the original files or recover them from a device, then you may need to delete the broken entries, close iTunes and reopen before you can access the past purchases.
