HT5070 Cannot open purchased TV show

I recently purchased an entire season of a TV show but when I go to open the episodes, it tells me it cannot locate it.  HELP!

  • Cannot locate purchased tv shows

I cannot locate purchased tv shows on my pc. They appear in the 'my purchased' folder in the itunes store, but I cannot play them. I have searched my hard drive thoroughly. When I go to re-download them, it just tells me that they have already been purchased. It says the same thing on my iphone. I deleted them from my itunes, hoping I would get the option to re-download. How do I access these shows that I've already paid for?

Whether you can redownload them depends upon what country that you are in (and whether you've changed countries since buying them and if they are still in your country's store). If you can redownload them then they should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, and the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone. If they don't show there then check to see if you've hidden them : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support.
If you can't redownload them then copy them back from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library

  • Cannot play purchased tv shows

I have been unable to play purchased TV shows on iTunes. iTunes software is the most current, and the TV show was puchased from iTunes. The software will present the first screen to view the show, but will not automatically start. If I press the start button, then it will immediatley go back to the pasued state. I can open and play all episodes directly with quicktime, so it does not appear that the file is corrupted in any way. It also seems that if I play a movie that did not come from iTunes, and then play the TV show once the movie has run for a few seconds, then I have 1 shot at getting the TV show to play. This is happening on iTunes version 10.5.3 (3) and on the previous version as well.
    Thank you.

After being more though and reading a few other posts, I have identified the problem. The downloaded shows are HD, and I was trying to play them on my 30" Cinema Display. And it seems that is not possibe. That is annoying. I hope apple finds a way to get my apple cinema display to talk to my apple computer.
Problem solved. Now I am greatly annoyed.

  • Cannot find purchased TV shows on iTunes

I purchased TV shows but cannot find them anywhere on my iTunes list. And cannot play them or buy them again, because they are marked as purchased. Where are they? I can see other TV shows I've purchased ..

I am having the same issue.  Have been looking for reasons why and how to fix.   For me, they show up on my purchased TV shows list but are grayed out....????  I don't understand.  I am ready to go back to my 1st gen iPad.

  • Itunes 11 cannot play purchased TV shows or Movies

I recently upgraded my PC to itunes 11.  Since the upgrade, I have been unable to play any purchased TV shows or Movies in itunes.  I use Home Share, and the videos will play on my iPad and iPhone, but will not play on my PC.  The video screen opens to a black screen, and the times shows it is playing, but the screen stays black, with no audio.
    What I have tried:
    1.  Rebooted several times, and restarted iTunes
    2.  Ensured there were no updates pending
    3.  In Quicktime, set video to Safe (GUI)  -No change
    4.  In iTunes, deauthorized and reauthorized my account.
Really a pain, and now I am holding off on upgrading other devices until I can make sure that this is resolved.  This is exactly why Apple needs to remove restrictions on their files, as all of my other Movies and TV shows that were no purchased from Apply play fine.

I have resolved this issue.  Here is the link to the solution:  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1277
I did not feel comfortable deleting the files, so I renamed the SC Info folder to oldSC Info, and then rebooted.  Once I went back into iTunes and played a TV Show, it asked me to autorize again, and then everything worked great.

  • Cannot download purchased TV show

I'm an American who moved to China at the beginning of the semester to teach at a college. I cannot watch the TV show "Lost" for free online because it's not available outside the US. I decided to splurge and get a season pass for Lost so I could enjoy it here in China. (The Lost website offers the option to let US viewers watch the most recent episode free via iTunes). But there's a problem. I get the following error dialog when I try to download the show:
There was a problem downloading "Every Man for Himself / Lost, Season 3 / Lost".
    The network connection was reset.
The error code is showing up as (err = -3253).
I'm really frustrated because I should be able to view it, but I cannot for some mysterious reason. I paid good money to be able to watch Lost. I have the most recent version of iTunes, and I was able to download previous weeks' epsiodes without a problem

  • Cannot locate purchased TV Show

I purchased a Spongebob Squarepants episode on my ipod touch. I plugged the ipod into the computer where I saw the episode showing up under "TV Shows" and "Purchased" in the ipod section. I dragged the tv show out of the purchased section into the music section. I realized what I did and so I deleted the tv show out of the music category. when I went back the main screen the "purchased" section disappeared and I cannot find the file anywhere. I've checked under the library's purchased section, trash, tv shows...everywhere I can think of. I even transfered the purchases from ipod to itunes. it's nowhere to be found...any ideas?

  • Cannot play purchased TV show

I have an imac with an external hardrive where all of my itunes content is stored. I purchased a tv show a few nights ago and watched it. I tried to watch it again today and i receieved a message saying that "the original file cannot be found. Would you like to find it?" I said yes and it took me to the TV Shows folder on my external HD but the show was not there. I checked my purchases through itunes and it indicates that all purchased items are on my computer. I searched for the show using the spotlight and could not find it. Any thoughts on where this show might be? Is it possible that itunes is configured to only play this show once? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am unable to play and have paid.the screen comes up but the play button doesn't work. Did you get that far?

  • Cannot open purchased movies

I purchased a movie from Itunes and it tells me that I cannot play the movie because the computer is not authorized. It then tells me to download Itune 4 or beter. The computer is authorized and I am running Itunes 10.6.  I am using X 10.5.8

    QuickTime 7.5.5 for Leopard - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL27
    QuickTime 7.7 for Leopard - http://support.apple.com/kb/dl761
= New version of Quicktime installed but application reports it needs to have that version installed =
Open Application > Utilities > System Profiler and check the Quicktime version in Frameworks vs. the version in Applications.  One person had re-installed their operating system.  It had kept the newer Player application but had reverted to an earlier version of the underlying support framework files which many applications utilize.  Re-installing Quicktime 7.7 took care of the problem.  Do this manually, not with Software Update.

    Hey there Px13,
It sounds like you are getting an error message after a recent iTunes update. I recommend the troubleshooting in the following article named:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
It will involve uninstalling iTunes and its associated applications. The links in the article will walk you through uninstalling them all.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • I updated to iOS 7.0.2 and cannot open purchased books not yet downloaded

At first I couldn't purchase the book using the iBooks app, then I purchased it on my computer and tried to download it to my phone.  It looks like its downloading but then it never actually does and every time i try to open it, it just tries to download again.  Its not the book or the file because I tried it out on another book that I had already purchased I had the same problem.  Books that I had already downloaded on the old iOS work, just not new ones.  Any ideas?  Its pretty annoying to buy a book and then not be able to read it

try a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
You can also try - settings - general - reset - reset network settings.

  • Cannot dowload purchased TV show

I purchased a season pass for a show through AppleTV.  After the purchased, I was asked if I wanted to download episode one now.  I declined since I wanted to watch a different episode.  When I wanted to watch an episode later, AppleTV would not indicate that any of the season's episodes were available for download.  But, if I went through the purchase season pass again, I was reminded that I already purchased the season pass.
Later that evening I was able to download one episode.  But that has been it.  I have tried on PC and iPad, but the shows are not available for download.

  • PDF created in Excel cannot open is CS3- shows error

I saved a 4 page PDF document in Excel 2007 and tried to open it CS3. It keeps coming up with an error. 0x 4 000 000 c.
I was able to do a workaround by opening it up in Illustrator - then saving each page as single PDF's and then opening them in CS3 but that's a lot of extra work. HOW CAN I GO STRAIGHT FROM EXCEL PDF's TO CS3 w/out the error?

How is it you're making a PDF with Excel?  I don't have Office 2007, but I thought you needed a separate component (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) to make a PDF.
I ask because I should think that separate component that makes the actual PDF (and the settings there) would be where you would look for the answers to this.

  • HT1725 I purchased several books from itunes and on my iphone it shows the book cover, but I cannot open them.  There is a solid black line on each cover.  Any suggestions?

I purchased several books but on itunes but cannot open them on my iphone 4S.  I purchased one without problem.  However, the next several appear in my library but have a solid black line on the cover as though they haven't downloaded.  When I check my itunes account for possible downloads, it shows everything has been done.  Any suggestions?

Could you take a screenshot of this line?
