HT5312 there is no option to send an email to my rescue address, only the two security questions. now my id is locked for 8 hours and i cannot purchase/do anything.
*** apple
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I first thought the Ipad would be used by my wife so I set up her email account. She didn't use it that much so I did and set up my accounts and took her off. Now when I send an email it shows her address as the sending party (some of the time and I don't know why only some of the time) - how do I fix this

Under PHOTOs on my iPat there is an option to send a picture to an email address.
. I cannot make this work. HelpWhen viewing an image full screen you can tap on the icon, and then on Mail to send the image over Email. Note that you must have an email account setup in Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Accounts
Alternatively you can tap and hold anywhere on the body of an Email in the Mail App, and then choose the "Insert Photo or video" option to add one to the email. You may need to tap on the arrow on the left of the context menu options to bring the insert option into view. -
You can edit or delete your rescue email address using the Apple ID website. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions. (
Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.
My answer lose. I want reset security questions answerIf you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Resetting my password with no option to send an email to my rescue email address.
Just as the title says. Before you go linking to here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312?viewlocale=en_US, I have already done all the steps to a T, however, there is no option under my security questions to send a reset email to my rescue email address. (And yes, I did verify both email accounts). How can I fix this?
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address - if you have just added an address then it will be an alternate/secondary email address which is different, a rescue email address can only be added/changed by answering the 2 questions that show on that screen.
If you've forgotten the answers to your questions then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get them reset.

I can't remember my security questions, but I have to enter them in order to download new content on my iPod 5. I've been looking on iTunes support, but it hasn't been much help. I need a way to reset my security questions through email.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
Good Luck friends! -

HT5312 How come the option to send an email to reset the questions doesn't come up?
I have forgot my security questions, and I was told there is an option to send a reset link to your second email account. I do have a second email account linked with my apple I.d but the option to send a reset link does not come up. Will loveeee for someone to help thanks x
1. Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
2. If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
3. If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support. -

HT5312 there is no option to reset apple security questions
there is no option to reset apple security questions
The option to send reset info will only appear if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you aren't getting then option then that implies that you don't have a rescue email address, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted fromto add a rescue email address for potential future use.
