HTTP Website testing
Hi,
I am looking to test a website by following a flow and filling out a bunch of forms. Is there a tool out there which can help me do this ? I have looked at httpunit but seems like I have to program in everything. In my case,
1. the flow remains the same i.e. login, enter data in form A, then click go to form B enter data ..... and then you save the data when you get to form X.
2. People might say what if you fill out data which leads you to a different flow ? Well that wont happen for this website and please dont ask why :-)
Thanks.
Thanks but latka is validating a response and not constructing a request. for a form. I guess with some smart programming you can replay a session with different form attributes but that is just what I dont want to do.
What I am looking for is a basically a "UI tool" which goes to point x,y on a screen clicks fills out form a, b and c and saves the result d.

Lync mobility and HTTP authentication test failed. Is reverse proxy required?
I currently have the following setup.
1 x 2013 edge server lync1.local.com
has 3 dmz ips for external names
has 1 internal ip
2 x 2013 std front end servers lync2 & lync3.local.com
Ive read that in 2013 the mobility service is installed automatically on the front end servers and i do see it running on both.
All my clients can connect from the windows and mac clients(internally and externally) but not from phone or windows app store client (internally or externally)
running the exchangeconnectivity test on the website i get the following error
Testing HTTP authentication methods for URL https://lyncdiscover.external.com/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root/user.
HTTP authentication test failed.
Additional Details
A Web exception occurred because an HTTP 404 - NotFound response was received from Unknown.
HTTP Response Headers:
X-MS-Server-Fqdn: lync1.local.com
Connection: close
Content-Length: 64
Content-Type: text/plain
Server: RTC/5.0
Elapsed Time: 427 ms.
After some reading I notice that many people refer to a reverse proxy when dealing with mobility.
I do not have a reverse proxy server installed. Is this required for the mobility to work correctly? I cant just use the edge server?
Thanks in advance for any help.Take a look at Georg Thomas' blog: http://www.lynced.com.au/2014/04/configure-citrix-netscaler-vpx-as.html also the Citrix official documentation: http://www.citrix.com/global-partners/microsoft/netscaler.html

Unable to open https websites with Firefox 4 beta 5 after updating from beta4
I am unable to open any https websites with Firefox 4 beta 5. This is happening after I updated to beta5 from beta4 this morning. I reverted back to beta 4.
This happened to most of the secure websites including mozilla's support & add-ons, bank and gmail websitesLooking through the bug notes, it looks like there is a simple work around, switch to Private Browsing Mode.
Works for me for all https sites I have tested. -

Maximo Vizcainothats where you are going to check what it is supposed to be.
lets say your page shows as SSOL Status : running you
probably want to use "if($totalstrng.ToLower().contains("ssqlL status
: running"))". its
checking if the html page contains the string you are looking for.
you might want to print $totalstrng
and see what you need to look for.

Parental controls blocks all https websites
When I enabled parental controls for my 9-year old, I didn't expect her not to be able to use Google, Gmail and just about every single other website that requires logging in. The reason? Those websites are all https websites and parental controls blocks *ALL* https websites.
With https becoming more and more prevalent on the web, adding an exception is not really an option anymore. I don't want to add an exception for half of the internet. It's gotten so bad that she's encountering a popup several times per minute when just doing a little research for her homework. Web filtering is apparently a whilelist only solution, suitable only for the smallest of children - the ones that you sit next to because they can't type a web address themselves, 5 years or younger.
The only solution I could find was to turn off web filtering completely and use OpenDNS instead. Does anyone else know of a better solution?Hello,
A alternative application as a option that is very worthy,

Airport Extreme to https websites
Via wifi, have no problem accessing the normal http websites and access is blocked to https websites. However no access problem to https websites using an ethernet cable. Looks like a problem with my Airport Extreme security setting. Thanks for your help. jim
Welcome to the discussions forum jim.
Why do you believe the the problem you're describing is related to your wireless security settings?
You're not really using Internet Explorer, are you? Use Safari or Firefox. I do not recommend Explorer, not for Macs, not for PCs, not ever.
I would also recommend using OpenDNS. -
Hello everybody,
since a few day I can no longer access to https websites.
Can anybody helb me?just use the normal browser, all those useless extra browser are not doing any thing else than the normal browser and most of the time they are unstable as it is the case now, and in the worse case they will even force you to re-install the whole PlayBook as losing everything in the process because they cause corruption in the OS
My advice stay with the normal browser it works for 99.9/100 web site, including the banks which are the one using HTTPS
Using the Playbook and the Z10 and the Z30 and loving them

HTTP Load Test - Stop Proxy info to be set by open Script
Created a HTTP Load testing script in OpenScript. As soon as the browser(Firefox) opens up, the HTTP proxy settings were set to localhost: 7777.
Our application would not work on that proxy. Please help on how we can override the proxy details.
I tried the option in View -> OpenScript Properties -> Record(HTTP)-> Use broswer's proxy. It did not work either.
Please help.Hi
Port 7777 is the proxy that OpenScript uses to record the HTTP traffic, if you are using a proxy to access the application you will need to chain it.

StageWebView does not display a https website with captive runtime library on Android
Hi,
I'm working on a flex app for tablets (both iOS and Android) and it does not display a particular https website in a StageWebView. The strange thing is, that this issue happens only with this url (required for Google OAuth) and if I deploy the app with a captive air runtime library.
I see the below stack trace in the system logs:
W/System.err(26027): java.lang.NullPointerException
W/System.err(26027): at java.io.File.fixSlashes(File.java:185)
W/System.err(26027): at java.io.File.<init>(File.java:134)
W/System.err(26027): at com.adobe.air.JavaTrustStoreHelper.getX509TrustManagerFactory(JavaTrustStoreHelper.java:8 1)
W/System.err(26027): at com.adobe.air.JavaTrustStoreHelper.getX509TrustManager(JavaTrustStoreHelper.java:110)
W/System.err(26027): at com.adobe.air.JavaTrustStoreHelper.enumerateRootCAs(JavaTrustStoreHelper.java:195)
W/System.err(26027): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.run(Native Method)
If I deploy the same app with a shared air runtime library and no code change at all, there's no issue at all. Also no problems while debugging or executing from Flash Builder on the device.
The issue happens only with this Google URL, it's all okay with Facebook's auth url (https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth).
The device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) on it.
I would appreciate any idea with this issue.
Thanks,
GaborUpdating the AIR SDK from 3.1 to 3.4 has resolved the issue.
Too bad that this needs to be done manually as described here: http://www.flashdeveloper.co/post/10985842021/overlay-adobe-air-32-in-flash-builder-46
Many thanks for the hint, Pata.

Any additional settings are to be done or it works.
My BASIS PEOPLE are tilling it is not a problem.
But, my sence is not permitting.Hi,
I guess that you run sm59 on XI server towards business system on which you want to implement server proxy.
The RFC destination H type. If it is right, then the response that you have received from business system is correct.
You can go further with your development.

showing "navigation to the webpage was cancelled".
Can anyone help me which approach will be feasible to achieve this.

Mac + parallels and https site test = router restarts
Ok I have an interesting & very frustrating problem happening. I'm going to explain it the best I can.
I work as a graphic designer & web designer on a mac and have a Comcast internet connection that comes through a Comcast branded router (SMC8014) which then ties into an Airport Extreme Base Station which runs my office network. I run OS 10.5.7 and also run Parallels 4.0.3 (running Windows XP) for testing websites in Internet Explorer and so on.
Ok, so that the basic background. Here's my issue.
I've been collaborating an ecommerce website with another designer/developer and when testing the site on the PC side we have started to run into some sort of network problem. The site is https if that matters at all I suspect it may. Basically when I run parallels for testing I am constantly having to restart the router in order to connect to the test site (it's hosted). Funny thing is I can access the rest of the internet fine, just not this site I'm working on until I restart the router (It's sorta like the site is timing out). This never happens when just running the Mac side of things. It only becomes an issue when Parallels is open and I am doing page refreshes while making css or HTML edits via something like Coda or CSS edit (connected to the hosting server via ftp). The real problem is that once the problem starts I only get about 2 or 3 page loads before I have to restart the router again. It's absolutely crippling. I cannot get any work done when I have to restart the router every couple of minutes.
So, if you think this problem is isolated to me, the answer is no. The designer/developer I'm collaborating with has an office a couple miles away and experiences very similar problems under slightly different setup. He also has Comcast as his internet provider and connects his router to an Airport and primarily works on a mac. The main difference is that rather than using a visualizer like parallels to test the website on the PC he uses a real live PC that is on his network. Once he fire up the PC to do testing he runs into the same issue described above. After a couple of page refreshes in Internet Explorer or other browser on the PC the site becomes unresponsive and the router has to get restarted.
Any thoughts on what is going on here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Hello bigbobber,

I can only access https websites
Hi!
I don't really know what happened to my computer but since Wednsday, when I open Safari (or GoogleChrome) I am not able to open any websites without https in the address. I can do a google research and see the different websites but if there are not https, I can't open them. I resetted safari, I cleared the caches and cookies...I did everything I've thought about and it still doesn't work. I have a MacBook Pro 13" with Version 10.0.3 of OS X.
I also did a diagnostic test but I don't know a lot about computers so I am not able to understand what it means. If somebody could help me to read the test, that would be great :

Thank you so much!kislai,
it appears as though you either once had installed or currently have installed Sophos, Avast, MacKeeper, and VirusBarrierX6. Make sure that they’re all uninstalled, reboot, and then try Safari again.
