    I have received charges on my credit card from ITunes for amounts that I have not made.  There are 6 different purches on 3 different days.  One day the two amounts were 20.95 and 20.96.  The previous day the amounts were both 109.99.  The day before that they were 139.99 and 99.99.  I have tried to contact ITunes, but no answer.  The statement on my credit card says APL*APPLE ITUNES STOR 866-712-7753 CA.  I did not make any of these purchases, did not receive an e-mail about what was even bought on these days.  Anyone else have this trouble and resolve it?  Looks like I will be going to the bank today to cancel my card!  Very disappointed in ITunes lack of security.

    I have had the same problem with a credit card that I have never used at Apple. The amount was $21.23 and was described "MC Authorization 00112507 APL*APPLEITUNES STORE 2010-04-07 12.31.59"  Apple's email help desk couldn't help me because the card isn't one of my stored cards.  I was told to contact my bank.
    It seems to me that somewhere in AppleLand there is a record of the charge which is still pending.  I don't want to go through the hassle of changing cards.

    Have you checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases (the most recent purchase is above the list).
    If you can't find the charge or don't recognise it (and nobody else has access to your account or devices) then you can contact iTunes Support via this page (we are fellow users here on these forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    I need to talk to someone about charges to my credit card that I have not authorized and cannot get to anybody.  I have never been so frustrated in my whole life!

    First point of call is to contact your credit card company and put the items in dispute.
    Next you need to change your iTunes password.
    Next use the following form to contact Apple as they do not have a phone number for iTunes issues:

    I had this happen, itunes won't do anything. You have to claim it through your credit card and change your itunes password. I was able to cancel some pending orders but itunes support was not able to help at all. It took them three days to respond. I was also able to change the shipping address on an order and send it back.

    If they don't show on your purchase history on your account then have you have you added or changed your credit card details on your account - when you do then a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the details are correct and valid, which should disappear within a few days) ?     The most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
    Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. 
    If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
