I cannot use my bluetooth card! :(

Hi, i'm configuring my notebook ( a dell xps m1330).
i have an integrated bluetooth card, so i followed the wiki ( http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth_Mouse )
and:

so i think that arch recognize the bluetooth adapter. but when i try to use hidd:

Inquiry failed.: No such device
what can i do to let the bluetooth starts?

Ok, I just tried something similiar and for me the very same problem appears when I try to connect my Motorola A780 to my IBM X60 Thinkpad.
Running 'hcitool dev' should display local devices but it only reads "Devices:" without listing any devices. For the commands you tried I get the same results, so for the dmesg call.
We seem to have the same problem, that the device isn't detected correctly. Otherwise we should get a device node /dev/hci0 that I do not get.
After starting to write this post I was looking around the web for a while until I hit a gentoo HowTo about Bluetooth Headsets. There I found out that dbus is needed for running bluetooth. I checked, had no dbus running, started it and there was my device. Probably this should get it going for you, too, I guess.
However, during my inquiries, I found the following hint together with some corresponding links on ubuntu forums:
On some Dell laptops it appears to be necessary to install newest drivers from Dell's support pages in Windows to get the bluetooth module working under Linux. (At least D430 for with Gutsy / Hardy and D830 and D630)

Cannot use seconf graphics card with Hp envy Recline

The HP recline has 2 display adapters , INtel integrated 4600 and Nividia Gt730A. I tried to force use of the Nividia card by selecting it in the nividia control panel as the default card but it does not work. I ran dxdiag and it still show intel as the default card.
I tried to run 3DMark11 buy selecting Nividia but it wont run and I gethis error message:
"Workload Single init returned error message: No outputs found on DXGI adapter"
3Dmark11 will run with either Auto or Intel graphics card selected (but with very poor frame rates )
So now I am not sure whether the GT730 is working of not or is there something wrong with DXGI? , DX11?
Advise please.

The 3D mark11 support forum informed that this is normal. Explanation is as follows:

At end of the 3DMark 11 Tests , the summary did indicate that GT730A was used . So it's not really an issue but rather the way the dual graphics cards work in the HP Envy Recline.

I cannot use my pci5112 card with LV ver. 6.0

I'am trying to use my pci5112 card with LV 6.0 using the DAQ solutions. I get a message saying that I have not configured any DAQ devices. When I launch MAX I see the card there and the test panels are ok.
I have the niscope1.6 driver installed.
Any ideas?

The PCI-5112 can only be programmed with NI-Scope. That's why the PCI-5112 does not work with the DAQ Solution Wizard.
Fortunately, there are lots of good examples for NI-Scope in LabVIEW. You can find these in the C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.0\examples\instr\niScope directory. I would recommend starting with the Configured Acquisition example and then going from there depending on the needs of your application.

Satellite 3000 x11 cannot use its network card

On my friend's satellite 3000 x11 I'm trying to configure it to connect to my uni halls internet, but to do that I need the MAC address. If I do ipconfig it just says "Windows IP configuration" and nothing else.
If I go to device manager there's no category for network adaptors, even though I can see the ethernet port on the back. Its almost as if it doesnt know it has on-board LAN.
Back home her brother used to use it with the built-in modem , but not the ethernet port.
Any ideas?

Some Toshiba models have an RJ45-port (Ethernet) but nothing behind it - means no network controller. The machine is prepared for LAN but no LAN built in.
So you have to get f.ex. a PC Card to hook it up to the LAN.

What sort of card are you trying (debit or credit) and what happens when you try to buy something, do you get any error messages ... ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is and it's being declined then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

I created an account two times, now i cannot use a gif card number

Somehow I tried creating an account while I was in Germany, but had no success since I had no bank account there. Today I got a gift card and tried to use it, reentering all the information. It redeemed my gift card, but once I tried connecting, it logged in with old infos. How do I get m gift card back?

Tried to purchase Garageband sounds, and cannot use iTunes gift card.

I redeemed the code and added the funds to my account, but when I go to purchase from Garageband, it only gives me credit card options. I closed it and retried multiple times and now my account is locked because I signed in too many times and couldn't answer my security questions. All I want to do is make the purchase and be on with my project, but now I'm hung up on this one step. Am I missing something?
