In NY verizon is a little afraid
New Yorks Attorney Generals have nailed them for millions. Additionally the States Consumer Protection Board has authority over them, as well I have read in addition to the NYS Public Service Commission. But by different actions of authority.
So sometimes a local complaint is far superior to Federal complaints. There is always a private right of action and verizon wireless does lose quite a few of those actions. The NYS Register can attest to that.
But in fairness be pretty accurate in what you are asking for since a court or regulatory agency requires absolute truthful facts. You would need names, places, dates, remedy sought. Documents and telephone logs. Since the burden of proof lies with the filer not verizon wireless.
Good Luck

  • I filed a complaint with the BBB of NJ for basically ripping people off! I wanted everyone to know this...

I know in today's world everyone has a smart phone... Well I currently still have an old LG ENV VX9900 with the $50.00 prepaid unlimited plan. My charger recently broke and I tried looking for the charger at a few stores and realized this is going to be hard unless I go on eBay or Amazon. Well my friend had a good idea and gave me her old LG ENV TOUCH vx11000 instead of searching around for a charger. I called Verizon yesterday 2/18/2014 and explained to them about everything that happened and what I wanted to do. After speaking with 3 different representatives, they will not change my phone to the LG ENV TOUCH VX11000 because it's considered a smart phone! The phone was released in 2009 jerks!! How is that equivalent to an iPhone or Android?? It doesn't even have WIFI!! I just added money to my account a week ago and have service until 3/11/2014, they advised me if I want to activate the LG ENV TOUCH VX11000 I have to re-purchase another $50.00 plan and basically just waste the remaining time I have.. How is this fair??? I didn't want to change my phone because of boredom, my charger broke and a friend gave me another older phone that I can use. What is the big deal?? I paid for my services, what does it matter... The basic phone plan and the smartphone plan are both the same price jerks!! $50.00!! So I did what any person would do after this, I filed a complaint with the BBB of NJ hoping to get some justice for this. I don't see anywhere on their website (the prepaid section) where it states this that you cannot change your phone and have to pay more $$$. Verizon, this is another way of you scamming money from people because your so expensive for your contract plans and people are dropping you like flies, so you have to make the money up somehow!! Well, doing it like this you should be ashamed of yourselves!!

On the Verizon website it shows different plans based off a smartphone or a basic phone.
Even though it's the same price, it's not the same plan.
Actually Verizon has more customers than any other provider and for every 1 they lose they gain 5 so Verizon is not hurting for money.
The BBB will not be able to do anything because it clearly states there are different pre-paid plans for smartphones and basic phones.
    Anyways, Good Luck

  • Filing a complaint with Verizon regarding a customer who is harassing me

I am looking for the correct(and best) way to file a complaint with Verizon regarding a customer of theirs who is sending me harassing emails, attacking my website from his home.
I do know his IP address and I know that he is a Verizon customer.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks.

Log into your Verizon account.  At the bottom of the page you will see contact us.  Click on that, but you can't send an e-mail.  You have to send your complaint via US mail.  They will give you the address.  I know it is ridiculous but there is no e-mail address to address your problem.
    Hope this helps!

  • Filed a complaint with FTC

Dear friends after my horror with Verizon I have finally filled a complaint with FTC
    https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
i would encourage other customers who have had a poor experience with Verizon and Nexus to do the same.
    Dear FTC,
this complaint to bring to your attention the poor customer service Verizon is rendering to its wireless customers. I had the misfortune of purchasing a new cell phone with a 2yr contract with them late last year, it was a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone which was recommended by the Verizon sales representative. Soon after getting the device I started having issues with dropped calls 3-4 times each day, I did some research and found that many other Verizon customers with this device wee having similar problems.
I then started calling Verizon Tech support and was told that they are looking into this problem and subsequently they replaced my handset 3 times however I continued to have the dropped call issues with this phone as did other Nexus customers, this is not a signal issue because in this very house my previous Verizon device worked fine and so does my wife's cell phone(no dropped calls).
After my third replacement also did not work I called Verizon again and was told to wait for a software update which was going to fix a software glitch I waited for this update but unfortunately even after the update the problem continued, I was in the meantime offered to exchange my Nexus for another device Razr Maxx, after everything else failed I called in to get the replacement, the Verizon customer service guy agreed to send the replacement and asked me wait for a few minute to get a confirmation number, after a few minutes he came back to say that his supervisor had taken back the replacement offer as Rzar Maxx so too expensive, after this I sent an email to Verizon Customer service (email below)
This letter is to bring to you attention the absolute worst customer service experience I have had with Verizon Wireless over the last 6 months.
I had called to start a new account 6 months ago and wanted to buy an I phone 4s, the customer service agent persuaded me for 30 minutes and urged me to buy the "brilliant new Samsung nexus" , I did buy this device upon his recommendation, however I do wonder now that did he or Verizon have any other motives??. Since the day I bought this phone I have had 5-6 dropped calls a day, and have been in constant touch with your tech support, I have been sent 3 different handsets(Nexus) but the problems remained, finally I was told that ICS 4.0.4 uldate is about to come and will solve this dropped call issue, or I could swap this phone for a Rzr Maxx this was offered by Miss Rachel one of your senior supervisors, I told her that I have $300.00 in Nexus accessories and will wait for the update and if it fails to fix the problem will request Maxx or Galaxy 3.
The ICS update happened few days ago and made the problems even worse, as a result I called it to the customer service (on 06-08-12 @ 7.55pm) and asked them to send me the promised Razr Maxx, they agreed to do so took confirmed my address and 2 day shipping method for $6.99 and asked me hold for confirmation, five minutes later they turned around and said Maxx for way too expensive and they cannot honor the previous offer and will send me a Razr (non maxx), this is really as low as you can get in my opinion in terms of customer service, first you sell me a device which i never wanted, the device is riddled with problems, you promise a replacement and when time comes back track from it.
I would really like to get a clear written explaination in this matter, if it is worth your time, you have the permission to access all my account notes.
    kind regards
    Prashant Singh
after this email I was emailed by Verizon Customer service promising to rectify the mistake and send me Razr Maxx - email below-
    Dear Prashant,
I am so glad you took the time to write us about your experience. When I read what happened, I was truly disappointed. I realize that things go wrong sometimes when it comes to technology. However, at Verizon Wireless, we are empowered and expected to go above and beyond for our customers. And I deeply apologize for each of the issues you experienced, and that we did not exemplify this approach in your situation. I would have called to apologize personally but it was too late. My name is Tracey and I hope you will allow me to rectify this situation.
It is my goal to get you a RAZR Maxx replacement sent out tomorrow. I work at 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM tomorrow and will try calling you at 5:00 PM EST. The last thing I want is for you to feel that we habitually offer poor customer service. There are some things outside our control of course. But I feel it is my job to take care of everything that is within my control. I pride myself on providing my customers with the experience and respect you deserve. And I assure you, I will handle this issue personally.
I hope you can accept my apology on behalf of Verizon Wireless in the kind spirit which I offer it. I truly appreciate your business and I will contact you tomorrow, Sunday, June 10th at 5:00 PM to process your replacement order. If I do not reach you, I will text you and you can respond with the best time to call back.
    Sincerely,
    Tracey
    Verizon Wireless
    Customer Service
I patiently waited for the Razr Maxx to arrive the mail came today but to my amazement it was another Nexus, I called Customer service again and they said they could not do much at this time, I am completely frustrate for being provided a third grade equipment after paying a premium price for this device at their sales representative recommendation and paying $125.00 each month for 8 months for a extremely poor quality equipment which drops calls several times in a day, this problem is not isolated and the web is full of customer complaints about this device.
I would urge FTC to kindly spare sometime and look into Verizon's poor customer service and inability to honor their written promises.
    many thanks and kind regards
    Prashant Singh

I too have experienced this.  Purchased the phone on launch day, and since then I've experienced nothing but problems, having the phone replaced 6 times, Despite Ice Cream Sandwich being an amazing operating system, this phone is the worst piece of equipment I've ever had the displeasure of owning.  Everyone of them has a weak antennae design resulting in bad reception, dropped calls, and 4G speeds half that of every other LTE phone. plus the extraordinarily poor battery life, and bizarrely large energy consumption that causes the phone to drain faster then the AC wall outlet can charge it should be more then enough reason for Verizon to recall these things entirely. Making matters worse is the fact that they only send you refurbs, and in my experience, each one of the replacements I received only gave me new problems to deal with (defective screens that look like old newspaper photos, etc).  Ive been begging VZW to exchange it out for a Razr maxxx for 4 months and they refuse, and will only offer the regular Droid Razr.  Considering I already have 3 Samsung batteries for the Nexus (its the only way I can make it through the day and have a working powered up phone) there offer of the old Razr is in no way a solution.  It's also notorious for its poor battery life, and to make matters worse, the battery isnt removable.  At least Im able to swap in a new battery when my Nexus gets low!...
I found a place online that pays 200 for the Nexus.  Selling it to them then probably going to use the cash to pay the early termination fee, then Im going to Spring for the unlimited data and a Galaxy S3-Im also grand fathered into the unlimited data plan, so now I cant even upgrade and get a phone I want without losing that feature and that one feature is the only reason Ive stayed with VZW at all

  • Ongoing Billing Problems - Filing complaint with FCC - Seeking Attorney

This is only the latest in a constant, year long, cluster**ck.
My internet service was fine for 10 months. The billing was wrong every single month, but the service worked. Then Comcast sent multiple letters demanding that I MUST upgrade to their new modem (which, also comes with a new monthly fee). After installing their new required modem, my internet became virtually useless. It didn't work at any time of day or night for 3 weeks, during which time I made more calls to Comcast customer service than I can count. After dozens of hours of phone calls, Comcast finally agreed to send a technician, free of charge, to identify and fix the issue. (It is also worth noting that they refused to pro-rate my bill for the 3 weeks of downtime.)
The technician arrived and before he even attempted to review my problem, told me I had to buy a new modem. When I refused, he left. He made absolutely no attempt to diagnose my problem or repair it. He simply said that another technician would "come by in a few days" and left an invoice showing that the visit was free of charge. No additional technician ever came. I ended up researching my issues and repairing my connection myself.
This morning, I sat down to pay my bill. Wouldn't you know it, there's a $70 charge on my bill for a FREE technician visit.
So far this morning I've spent four and half hours on the phone with Comcast. 3 hours of which have been spent on hold.
The first person I spoke to said he'd be glad to help me and then hung up. The second person said there is nothing they can do to change my bill despite my having a copy of an invoice saying the visit was free. They then transferred me to a third person. The third person verified my personal account information and then promptly hung up on me after I told them I was seeking a bill adjustment. I called back. The fourth person I spoke to asked me to verify my account details and then also hung up. 4 and a half hours on the phone attempting to fix a billing error and 3 people refused to assist.
I called back. This time to cancel my service outright. The fifth person I spoke to verified my account information, asked what they could do to help, and upon my saying I'd like to cancel my service - hung up on me.
4 Comcast employees hanging up on a customer they've fraudulently charged and a refusal to terminate my account.I fully intend to visit with my attorney to see what I can do next.

I apologize for any frustration regarding your billing issue. I show that you have been contacted by a representative and this has been resolved. Please reply back if you have any additional questions or concerns.

  • Filed Complaint with BBB against Verizon

They have the worst customer service ever!  For 3 months I've been lied to by their customer service.  We upgraded a phone that had unlimited data but it was supposed to take another lines phone upgrade which would leave the unlimited data intact.
I've talked to 8-10 reps since July that have told me they'd get the unlimited data put back on and as of today it has not.  Yesterday a rep told me there was nothing they can do and the other reps were giving me false information.
They just are trying to get rid of all unlimited data plans even though we were grandfathered in and they've been giving me the runaround for months.
I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be leaving Verizon ASAP!

Hey, not concerned at all about this issue/  stop and think, have you thought about simplifying your problem>? Customer service seems like it's bad everywhere in 2014.

  • File your Complaints with the FTC and  FCC!

I have filed complaints with the FCC and the FTC online. Verizon has been deceptive in implementing the new policy change regarding unlimited data. Verizon needs to be above board with this issue and stop trying to trick everyone who assumes they are "grandfathered in" with their unlimited data. File your complaints today!

What has been deceptive about it? If you purchase a subsidized phone, you will lose your unlimited data. If you migrate to the Share Everything plan, you will lose your unlimited data.
Seems to be pretty straight forward.
If you continue on your current plan with the same phone, you ARE grandfathered in and will continue to get your unlimited data. If you purchase a new phone at full retail or activate a phone from another source, you ARE grandfathered in and will continue to get your unlimited data. Both of these could change in the future, though. Contrary to popular belief, being grandfathered in does not mean FOREVER. As of right now, this is the case, though.

  • Filed a complaint today with the BBB

I filed a complaint today with the BBB because of the horrible customer service & different answers given by several different customer service reps. of Verizon.
We have been customers of over 10 years. Never paid a bill late & have been loyal customers to Verizons all this time.
Basically, we got screwed out of a phone we paid $160 for  & a charger we paid $29.99 for.
Talked to several customer service reps and they all gave me different answers from the get go.
Got tired of the run around after trying to resolve the issue for over a month.
No one would return my call or follow up on what they said they would do about it.  Finally, got an email on 11/24 after I threatened to report them to the BBB & they said they will give us a discount on a new phone.
    WHAT A JOKE!

I believe communication with Verizon is terrible and you really have to stay on top your account and never assume anything gets done before you check first.

  • If we all file complaints with the BBB and the FCC maybe things will change

I filed complaints with the BBB and the FCC over the last round of delayed updates. I got a call from someone claiming to work in the President of VZW office. It sounded like complaints to the BBB and the FCC cause major headaches for the folks at VZW and all they wanted me to do was remove my complaints. I refused until my phone was updated then I notifed the BBB and the FCC that my issue had been resolved. I just filed another round of complaints on Monday. Maybe if everyone else who is tired of the same old ** from VZW files complaints then they might take our issue seriously. I doubt it but at least we'd be making things difficult for them.

And if enough people do this, do you know what is going to end up happening? Verizon will never update any of the phones, you will be stuck with the OS that was shipped with your phone. Is that what you want?
What are you complaining about in the 2nd round?

Since you don’t allow emails any more – I suspect because of the numerous complaints with your service and the way you treat people that you don’t want documented, I am calling and I want this call recorded for future reference.
I have been a long time faithful customer of vzw and although the past year I have been late on payments many times and really couldn’t afford your exorbitant prices for services lots of other companies offer sometimes three times cheaper than what you charge, I have hung in there trying my best to meet my obligations.
This month has been no exception. You don’t know the background; the whole story of people’s lives. I know you could care less because all you care about is the profit-the money that comes in.
I was told when I agreed to pay my bill on the third per the recorded message that I had 14 days to pay…you cut me off anyway. The phones are not the tissue; your suspending my service means I cannot work. I may lose my job…how do you justify that? In any case? The least you could do would be to keep 4986 on and cut the phones off. But no. You refuse to compromise and meet the basic needs of your customer. What does that say about your company? I tried to call back on three separate occasions to tell you I couldn’t pay because of unexpected expenses but couldn’t get out of the automated system…sadly couldn’t get to a real person which also speaks volumes to me.
All this tells me this is a company I don’t wish to be affiliated with any more. As soon as I can, I will discontinue service with you…I know you could care less. I will honor the remaining portion of the contract but that’s it. You don’t deserve my business. I am a good, hardworking person who, at the sacrifice of myself and my needs, always pays her bills…albeit late at times. I realize others tell you stories and lies to justify themselves. That’s not me. If you knew what I had been through the last 7 yrs you would marvel that I am  still on my feet…don’t judge too quickly. You could be wrong…and in my eyes you are by doing this to me.
God will see us through this extremely scary time of that I have no doubt. No thanks to your company and lack of understanding and mercy. I am doing the best I can. Sadly you are not.
See I have choices. MANY choices of providers for services you offer. I don’t have to be treated like this. I don’t have to succumb to your coldness and callousness. I intend to choose better (and cheaper). If your company doesn’t get the “people factor” back you will be sorry.

Problem here is you admit you cannot afford the service.
And you want to blame Verizon for losing a job because you have no cell phone.
If your job depends on that phone I would pay it on time every time if you need a job to pay your bill.
No other service is going to treat you any different. And if you cannot afford Verizon's monthly invoice how are you going to afford new devices, activation fees, possible security deposits on any other cellular carrier? You can't.
Also if you made an arraignment to pay and then decide you cannot do so, why should Verizon extend you service or credit, or why is it you want to use the service and data and not pay for it as agreed.
Get a prepay phone. Its evident the cost is too high for you to afford on post pay.
    Good Luck

  • Re: Filing a complaint

    Branched from: Filing a complaint
I am having a similar issue.  I have gone into a store, dialed *611 and even posted on their FaceBook page.  Here's my story.....
Warning!! Verizon Wireless will contact you and offer you a rate reduction and then tell you that you are also eligible for an upgrade - what they don't tell you is that this offer is not an "AND" offer - its an "OR"... I've been trying to get my upgrade for 2 weeks now and am getting nothing but a run around unless I agree to have my bill go up rather than having them honor the offer that they contacted me about! First, I watched my account and online it stated that I was not eligible for my upgrade until 7/20. However, a representative from corporate customer service contacted me a week and a half earlier and said that I was already eligible. So I drove to my local store only to be told that I wasn't eligible unless I paid an extra $20 a month for the edge program. I chose to wait. I drove back to my local store today (7/20) only to be told again that I could not upgrade again because there was a pending order on my account. The pending order is the rate reduction that the representative contacted me about earlier in the month. Then I'm told I need to wait until after that goes through or they would have to cancel the rate reduction. When I asked to speak to a store manager - my request was denied (multiple times). I called *611 from inside the store and now I'm told that if I upgrade in the next 12 months, I will have to forfeit my rate reduction that I cannot have both - reminder, they contacted me to make this offer, I did not contact them! So now, I either have to accept my rate reduction and wait an additional year to upgrade my phone or I can upgrade my phone and forfeit the rate reduction. A Verizon representative made the offer, and corporate is now saying they will use this to "coach" the representative, but the only choices I have is one or the other, unless I want to find a different carrier... I have been a customer of Verizon for over 20 years and this is how they pay me back for that loyalty??!!!?? Verizon - error or not on the representative's part - you need to honor the offers that you make your customers!!! And the fact that I waited over an hour in the store ( Verizon Wireless at TriCounty, 55 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati , OH 45246) and STILL was denied access to have a conversation with the store manager is really suspect... do you even have store managers???? You have a very unhappy customer right now and I'm sure no one cares. Watch out folks - even if this company contacts you with an offer, you still won't get it!!!! Yea, they'll offer a rate reduction, but that reduction will actually cost you more per month if you accept it....

This is no surprise.  Here is my story:
I was eligible for a device upgrade and took advantage by getting a NEW Droid Mini.  I had the phone for a week and i noticed that the battery would not hold a charge.  I opened a case with Verizon after one week and discussed the issue with them.  They had me do some tweaks and i told them i would try it out.  2 weeks later, i am still having the same problem..........which means the phone is DEFECTIVE.  I contacted them again immediately and they said they would send a replacement.  They sent a replacement phone and it is a REMANUFACTURED phone.  What kind of warranty is that?  3 weeks with a brand new phone i paid $500 for, and they send me a reman??!?!?!?  If you buy a printer, or a monitor or even a pc and after 1 week you determine it is DEFECTIVE, the company won't just fix it, they will send you a NEW one.  Right?  They told me that's how they roll......reman.  This is not the first episode with Verizon either.  Verizon has the absolute WORST customer service and customer relations in the business today.  Unfortunately I don't have any other carriers in my area, but as soon as i do, i will quit Verizon.  MB2508........don't worry, you're not alone.  Verizon doesn't care about any of their customers.  It's all about $ to them.  If they've got you backed into a corner, they aren't going to budge. They'll just keep squeezing.  Period.

  • Complaint to FCC about Comcast's broadcast stations and prices!

Complaint ..   Comcast -- have several broadcast stations that are showing repeat, repeat shows for the last 2-3 years such as Murder She wrote, Hart to Hart, Golden Girls, I love lucy, Little house on the praise, Food Network,  HGTV, and many more  as well as QVC, HTC and so many other stations are repeating. Why should I pay $22 more?  Comcast should FREEZE the prices until Comcast gets all new shows.   Comcast does not respect Senior Citizens who has very limited income under $14,000.  Comcast refuses to honor that to discount, they claims it can't be done because of promotion.   I think it is unfair.   I will write a letter to FCC soon.

    Hello youarecrazy,
As dwitham said, you need to understand the difference between a broadcast station, actually called broadcast networks, and a broadcast provider.
A broadcast network is an organization that provides live or recorded content to a provider.
A broadcast provider is an organization who receives the content from the broadcast network and distributes it.
In other words, the shows that air on the channels that you watch have nothing to do with who is delivering you the content. No provider has any control over what is given to them and is only responsible for airring the provided content.
If you wish to write a letter, do as dwitham suggested again, and write to the network channels themselves as they are the only ones who have the ability to change what you're seeing on them.

  • How to file a Complaint with Verizon

I don’t know how to file a complaint with, or about, Verizon customer service.  After calling Verizon I was shuffled between departments, supervisors, and finally directed to “verizon.com/contactus”.  After spending an hour browsing the “contact us” section of the website, it became abundantly clear that I would not be able to find what I was looking for on the website.
A month ago I was in the middle of the moving process and was dreading the seemingly inevitable process of setting up the internet/television/phone, a process that I had to do many times before.  My son had informed me of Verizon’s transfer service, also known as “Moving with Verizon”.  As we were only moving 3 miles down the road, I figured that I would visit my local Verizon store as this would continue to be the store I turn to if I chose to stay with Verizon.  I had several concerns that I wanted to have addressed, chief among them were:
    - I have built up a significant number of movie titles in my digital library.  If I stay with Verizon, will I be able to keep the movies that I had purchased?
    - Each time I move I am inconvenienced with having to distribute my new phone number to my friends and family.   Will I be able to keep my current phone number if I stay with Verizon?
    - When I first started with Verizon I had significantly less credit with Video on Demand than I do now.  If I stay with Verizon, will I have to go through the grueling process of building up my credit again?
The sales associate was very kind and willing to help.  I was assured that
    -          I should be able to retain my purchases with Video On Demand
    -          I can bring my phone number from my previous address
    -          My Video on Demand credit could possibly be reset after the transfer, but a single phone call to customer service could set my credit back to normal with minimal effort
Throughout my questioning I was assured that my current services would transfer uninterrupted by the time of the move.  As you could imagine I was ecstatic.  We scheduled a technician to show up to the new house, when I asked the representative on the phone “What should I do with my current cable boxes and internet router while I wait for the technician?”  I was told that the technician would handle it.
The technician arrived two weeks ago, we were given a box and instructed to package the previous equipment and drop it off at our local Verizon store.  The technician gave us our new number, when we asked him about our previous number he appeared to not know what we were talking about.   He was apologetic about the mix up and gave us a phone number that we could contact.  Shortly after the technician left, my family noticed that our digital library was completely empty.  The next day I went back to the Verizon store, was apologized to, and then instructed to only place one order in at a time, because multiple orders on a single account tend to slow each other down.  We decided to resolve the issues one at a time starting with the phone.
My wife called and was told to wait a day or two.  After waiting two days, my wife informed me that she was bounced between different departments over the course of several days, but was assured that the issue was resolved.  I told my wife that I would handle the future endeavors with Verizon as she appeared to be a little flustered by the experience.  I later received a courtesy call from Verizon confirming that our phone number was restored.  I asked the lady whom I was talking to whether she could help me with my VoD service or transfer me to someone who could.  She assured me that she could help and asked me whether or not we had received new set-top boxes for our televisions. After I informed her of the new boxes, she apologized to me and informed me that due to copyright infringement laws that our digital library was lost and that we could not receive any kind of compensation.  I decided to call customer service, and after talking to representative for almost half an hour I was placed on hold and then told that there was nothing that could be done at this time and that I was going to be disconnected, before I could respond I was hung up on.
Three nights ago I took my concern back to the Verizon store as I dropped off our previous equipment.  I was given several new phone numbers.  That evening I spent over 2 ½ hours on hold waiting for a representative.  After explaining my situation I was transferred to another representative who worked with me and put in a work order to have our digital library restored.  I was quoted 48 hours, but the issue was resolved that evening.
Not intending to cause any more issues with Verizon until our digital library issue was resolved, my family abstained from renting or purchasing any movies from Video on Demand.  I had promised my son and grandson that if the movies were restored, I would add the new Star Trek movie to our library so that we could watch it together. I was slightly irked to realize that when I tried to add a new title to my library an error message would pop up.  I called the number on the message and entered the error code.  I was placed on hold for almost an hour.  When I finally reached a representative, he informed me that the problem was that my credit had been reset during the move and the issue could only be resolved by another department which had just closed for the evening.  I decided to work at home the next day so that I could watch the movie when my son came home that evening.  The next morning I called and realized that the opening time quoted to me was obviously in a different time zone.  When I finally reached an agent, 2 hours later, I was told that I was 5 dollars over my credit limit.  I informed the representative of my situation, as proof I pointed to the fact that the bill that I had paid earlier this week was almost 200 dollars more than my current statement.  I was asked to wait 30 minutes and to call back if the issue hadn’t resolved itself within an hour.  An hour later I called, explained my situation to another representative, and was told to call back in an hour if the problem hadn’t resolved itself.  An hour later I called and after being sent to several different representatives I was asked to call back in an hour if the issue hadn’t resolved itself.
Meanwhile my wife was contacted at worked by Verizon, informing her that there was no record of us returning the equipment and that we could be facing additional charges if we did not straighten out the issue.  After spending the next several hours assuring my wife and showing her how on the receipt, each piece of equipment was clearly scanned and entered into the system, I decided to call customer service again as my VoD was still displaying the same error message.  I was apologized to yet again, and was told that my order was being slowed down due to a high number of unresolved issues on our account.  I was assured that he would clear out the mess and that we should be able to order movies that evening, if not I should call back in 24 hours.  I apologized to my son and grandson yesterday evening, both of them took it surprisingly well.  This evening I waited until 7:30 to contact customer service (31 hours after I was told to wait 24 hours), I was placed on hold again and again for over an hour and a half.  I finally was told that my account would be cleared out to resolve the issue, I informed the gentleman that I was already told that would be done and then referenced the ticket number that I had received (and double-checked) from the gentleman the day before.  After speaking to his supervisor about the issue I was informed that there was no record of this action nor was there any ticket number matching the one I had given him.  The gentleman tried to help me for several more minutes until he transferred me to another department because neither he nor his supervisors could understand why my account wasn’t letting him change the date on my ticket, as he had reset all my resolved issues.
I explained my situation to the representative who after reviewing my account information informed me that I could have had the issue resolved on the 29th of August but someone during my process removed my order.  She then informed me that due to the number of unresolved orders on my account the system could not let her schedule a credit increase until the 26th of September.  After repeatedly asking her what I could do to expedite this process, I came to realize that all she could do was repeat to me the information that she had already said.  I then asked her who I could talk to resolve this issue or file a complaint.  After rambling for several minutes I was then transferred to the billing department.  After explaining my situation, yet again, to another representative, my account was reviewed again, and I was once again informed that I was over my credit limit.  After going into details a little more intimately, I was assured that the earliest that I could receive the credit increase was the 26th of September, and that I should make another payment.  I informed her that I had just paid over $550 dollars on my last bill and had given up the majority of my free time over the last 2 weeks trying to resolve issues that I was assured wouldn’t be a problem by a Verizon representative.   I asked if I could receive a small credit to my account ($30) so that I could just watch the movie and feel like I received a small victory for sacrificing so much of my time.  She informed me that only her supervisor could make that call.  She informed me that I would have to wait around 15 minutes on hold (what’s 15 minutes when I’ve already waited 8+ hours on hold?).  After explaining my situation to Cornell he reviewed my account and then reworded what I had just told him.  He informed me that the department that deals with my issue (the department that just transferred me to billing) was now closed and that I would have to wait until Tuesday (4 days) to have my issue resolved.  After explaining the fruitlessness of dealing with that exact department with the exact information he was trying to send me off with, he placed me on hold for several minutes and then came back and agreed to only meet me half way, a $15 dollar credit.  I was extremely offended.  This is not even 3% of my average bill.  $15 for 2 weeks of unsatisfactory service, in addition to 12+ hours of my personal time in addition to my wife’s time and visiting the Verizon store.  After explaining to Cornell that $15 was less than satisfactory, I asked for an email address or a complaint line.  He agreed with me that it was frustrating and explained to me that it was getting late for his department “almost 11:40 in the evening”, the exact time where I am.  He gave me Verizon.com/contactus, which after reviewing the page, I became insulted.  I have continually followed up with my phone calls and stayed loyal to Verizon, following the instructions of each representative that I have talked to in the last several days.
Verizon has provided both my family and me with an excellent entertainment package as well as outstanding customer service in the past.  I would like to believe that despite the fact that I was lied to by both a sales representative and a supervisor that my family’s experience over that last few weeks with Verizon is not a common one.  I am more than willing to place this movie order on my next bill, all I ask is that you please help me to enjoy the advertised early release and to enjoy the services I previously had with your company.

We've been having problem with our Verizon Fios set up since the moment we moved in to our new place. We've had several technicians come through, and then eventualy aftet two weeks of setting up appoitments and calling the customer service folks, they were finally able to resolve the issue. However, the nightmare doesn't end here. Last week, our neighbors switched over to Verizon Fios, and their technician swtiched our cables with theirs ( what a sloppy, lazy, job) meaning that they unplugged everything that was running to our apartments and transferred over to their becuase they didn't want to put in the extra work to chech and make sure that everyone was getting service. After, we had noticed the problem, my husband called  customer service to put in a ticket for the technician to come through and resolve the issue. The ticket was made for Wednesday, Nov 7th, 2013  under ticket number {edited for privacy}, the rep had clealry stated that a technician will come anytime from 3 - 7, which meant that one of us had to be home. My husband took off work and waited for the technician to come through, however, NOBODY showed up. Instead, they told us that they were came at 5 oclock but nobody was home. The same day we called customer service again, and reschudeled to the next day. Thankfully, someone showed up at literally 7pm, meanwhile my husband was waiting at home since 3pm. After hounding them down and calling every hour to make sure that they would show up. Sure enough, they coudn't fix the wiring with out a bucket truck, which the technician mentioned he didn't have since it was already late in the game and eveything was closed. So again, my husband called to make another appoitment, for Saturday, November 9th, 2013, and again, the customer service people  confirmed that someone will show up on this day from 8am-12pm. Guess what!? NOONE came, because NOONE issued a ticket, meanwhile we knew for a FACT that we made an appoitment. It's been one week, and no end to this problem. I am appalled, that a multibillion dollar company such as Verizon has such poor customer service in this area. It is sickening and sad, that noone can come and fix a small issue such as this. I hope that this will be resolved tomorrow, ( as they confirmed that they will come on Sunday) if not we have no other choice but to cancel our services and switch to something else. If only Google fiber was in town, things would have been so much easier, and not OVERPAID, especially now with the CRAPPY service we've been getting.
