    According to Apple support (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534) - i can create an apple id without credit card details.
    In practice you cant, as both on iPad/iPhone and on PC you dont have the "Payment type - None" option
    Have you manage to bypass this?
    Is there a reason why this page is not updated per the actual use?
    How would you give your kid an apple ID without a credit card? i dont want him to start wasting all my money :-)

  • Paid for an App Twice?

    I recently purchaced the new Ipad and downloaded a number of apps, including a number of paid ones. Unfortunately, I shortly thereafter dropped it, and busted it up, causing myself to need to get it replaced.
    I got it replaced with no hassle and brought it back home to recieve the backup from my computer. For some reason this process didn't seem to work, It didn't restore any of my apps or anything, but I figured i could just go redownload them.
    I checked online to see if it would charge me again for any of these apps, and was relieved to see that there would be a dialogue box saying that I have already purchaced the app once I go to download it.
    I went through the process and began downloading the app again, but I didn't get the dialogue box... Was my credit card charged again for an app that I have previously purchaced?

    You don't get charged the second time. The process isn't as clearly described as it could be.

    Contact itunes support and ask if they will remove the second charge.

    This same thing happend to me,  you have to make a new account and you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16,  because if you dont own a credit card,  you shouldnt be over this age,  so basictly just make a new email and appleID and when you chose your birthday,  do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options,  but if you want to buy something,  you will have to do the credit card stuff,  or you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store,  So this is how i fixed my problum,  i hope it works for you,  write back your responce of how it worked out please!

    Hi! I recently bought an Iphone 4S and tried creating an Apple ID but was not successful because I don't have a credit card. What I did was I just registered using my laptop and was able to create one without any credit card details. However, when I tried using it on my Iphone, it still asked for a credit card which again, I don't have. I read on some topics here that you need to initially put in your credit card details and then just change it to no credit card afterwards. How can I do that if I don't have a credit card at all. It's sad that Apple assumes ALL people have credit cards. Is there any other workaround for my problem?

    Having had recently a problem with my credit card with itunes (the only place I ever used that particular card), and several fraudulent charges, I no longer wish to give my credit card information to itunes or any other apple outfit. Can we pay for icloud by cheque, or money order, or some other way, perhaps a bank account where I would leave just enough money to cover the payment. This would be the only I would pay for icloud.   • Paid for Beepus app, won't install, Can someone help please??

    Hi,
    I have a BB Curve 8520 and remember having Beepus when it first came out and it was free. After a while I deleted the app. A year or so later I want it back again and now it costs money. Ok fine thats no problem, so i paid the money for the app and it took me to my uninstalled folder in my app world and began re-installing it. However it keeps failing and I have no idea why and what to do about it.
    This is the second time I have paid for an app now and it hasnt installed, i let the first one go but don't see why i should be paying for an app that won't install on my blackberry. It's been on there before, so I don't know what the problem is. Has anyone else had problems with this?
    Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to fix this problem?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
    1. Open App World
    2. Go to My World
    3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
    3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
    3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
    3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
    KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
    4. AppWorld should close.
    5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
    6. Return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
    If step (4) does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.

    i read soemwhere that it automatically gets credited back within 3-5 working days.
    waited for more than 7 days but no credit was given back.
    m feeling bad that i got charged without making any purchase.

    Each time that you add or change the card details on your account (and possibly also if you change your name and address, as the card needs to be registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account) you will be charged a temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active, but it should disappear within a few days or so (the amount of time that it takes will vary by card issuer) : store holding charge.
    Give it a few more days, and if it still hasn't disappeared then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
