I unplugged my ipod touch 5th from computer when it was updating, after that the screen keeps showing me a pic of a plug aims to a iTunes icon, every time when i tried to shut down my touch, it automatically restart with the same pic

I have tried to connect to iTunes to restore, but after the restoration completes, it asked me to do it all over again, so what should i do?

Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. that is what the screen is telling you to do.

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Why does my ipod touch not automatically sync with itunes

When I connect my ipod touch to my laptop it says that it has sync'd on itunes but does not sync the music that I have downloaded onto my ipod touch!! I am going round in circles with the troubleshooting manual as the page on itunes that I have looks totally different to the page that is described in the manual. My laptop is new and Windows 7 and I have downloaded the latest version of itunes. My ipod touch is new as well. Can anyone help?

IPod Touch freezing and restarting with new iOS5.

I've restored settings, and its just gone back to how it was, except even worse. I turn it on, and it'll either instantly freeze, and restart, or freeze then work, then freeze again, then work again, until it eventually freezes and restarts. Also, the battery life with the new ios is dire, before my iPod would last a week or so without being turned off, now it only lasts a couple of days...
I presuming the iOS is 5.1, and its a third gen iPod touch.
Was just curious if there is a way to revert to an older iOS, as this one will not work, and if not, what else could be done.

Sorry to hear about that. Here is some info:
-you can't revert back to iOS 4.3.7 or earlier if you have upgraded to iOS 5.
Follow these steps to make your iPod stop freezing:
1- Double click on the home button. Some apps should appear. Hold onto the first one until it starts to jiggle. Then go through all of them and tap the little minus button.
2- Hold the power button down until your iPod completely turns off. Wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. That should stop it, but if it doesn't, do the following.
Plug your iPod into your computer and open up iTunes. Then click restore. (This will take a couple of miunutes). Then Put all your apps and music (and whatever else) back onto your iPod.
*OR*
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup >Back Up Now. Let it back up your iPod to iCloud. (This shouldn't take very long). Next go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BACK UP YOUR IPOD TO ICLOUD!
Now it will delete EVERYTHING off your iPod. (This includes iOS, and sometimes if your iPod is freezing, it is because you dropped or banged your iPod on something when you where upgrading to iOS 5). Now you need to go through and select your language, location settings and other stuff. When you get to the part where you need to decide where you want to restore your iPod from, choose iCloud and select your WiFi network. Now you need to decide whick restore point to choose. Most people choose the latest one, but you may want to choose the one before that. Now it will restore your iPod.
This should work. If this doesn't, go to you local Apple store and talk to a specialist in iPods or someone behind the genius bar.

Ipod nano (5th generation) - want to use headphones and charge at the same time

I have an ipod nano (5th generation). Do I need a special set of headphones to use the headphone jack and charge the ipod at the same time?

The iPod nanos have a 30 pin dock connector and a headphone jack. When you charge the iPod you use the dock connector therefore you can use and charge at the same time. You cannot use and charge the iPod shuffle at the same time. You might have the two mixed up.

When i try to shut down my iphone it just restarts itself

I just accidentally dropped the phone in a cooler full of water pulled it out right away and took it out of its rubber cover and wiped it all off... its working fine except the occasional message pops up: "this accessory is not made to work with iphone..."
so now i figure i would turn it off and let it dry out over night... when i go to shut it down it goes through all the motions and shuts down - a few moments later the apple icon pops up and it restarts. i cant get it to shut off.
what should i do? should i take the battery out? its going to run out of power pretty soon and i am not plugging it in until its dry.

Welcome to the discussions,
some people with water damage put their phone in a sealed bag of rice for a couple of days to take out the moisture. You can't exchange the battery, it's build in. If this does not help, you'll have to get your phone serviced. With your device connected to the computer, click on the Music tab, and uncheck the Sync Music box and sync. Then go back in and reselect the Sync Music box (and any other filters you want), and re-sync. See if that will download your music.

[SOLVED] - xfce4 and error when logging out or trying to shut down

Its problebly something I missed.
when Im trying to shut down the XFCE4 session (using SLIM) I get the following error message:

I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. Are you sure that these times are still selected to sync in iTunes?
When you connect your iPad to your PC and with iTunes running, select your iPad under the devices button in the upper right corner of the iTunes window. Then click on the Movies tab and make sure that the movies are selected (checked) to sync. Check the playlists in the Music tab as well.

Mail is open but it is frozen, being this the reason why you cannot open the Mail window. Press Alt, Command and Esc keys or go to  > Force Quit, select Mail and force quit it. Finally, you will be able to turn off or restart the MacBook

also, make certain your Mac OS X software is completely up-to-date. There is a Trojan Horse that pretended to be a Flash update, and installed Flash with malware included. The latest security updates removes the malware and all older versions.
