I updated my payment information on my PC, but it isn't showing up on my IPOD touch?  What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to buy an app on my ipod touch, but it isn't recognizing any payment information.  I had to log on to my PC to add a credit card and successfully updated it, but when I go back to my ipod touch and try to buy the app, it is saying there isn't any payment information.

You probably need to set up (or update) automatic syncing.  The iPod may be set to Manually manage music and videos.
Select the iPod in iTunes, so that you see the iPod's Summary settings screen.  If the checkbox for Manually manage music and videos is checked, the iPod is currently set to use the manual method.
In iTunes 12, in the iPod's sidebar, under Settings, click Music.  To the right, the iPod's Music settings screen is shown, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.  (In earlier iTunes versions, on the bar of buttons starting with Summary, click Music.)  Check the box for Sync Music, if not already checked.  NOTE:  If the iPod is currently set to Manually manage music and videos (so the Sync Music box is not already checked), checking the Sync Music box enables automatic syncing.  Any songs on the iPod that are NOT in your computer's iTunes library will be lost.  If this is a problem, please reply back (do not proceed).
Below that, if your iTunes music library can fit on the iPod, select the option to sync Entire music library.  With this option, iTunes keeps the iPod "in sync" with your iTunes music library, so any new song added to your library gets added to the iPod automatically next time it is connected (or you click Sync if already connected).  Click Apply to use these settings on the iPod's Music screen.
NOTE:  If your entire iTunes music library cannot fit on your iPod, you can use the other option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Or you can manage content on the iPod manually.  Please reply back for more info...

    Thank you Gail, but not to be ignorant but can I send you a print screen on what I am looking at.  I will try am explain what I see: I hooked up my I Pod Clicked on Music checked Sync Music 1909 Songs select Playlist, Artists, albums, and genres checked Include music videos Playlists checked 50's Music checked 70's Music checked 80's Music checked 90's Music checked 2000 Music checked 2010 Music   These are songs that I downloaded onto my I Tunes.  I bought me a new computer but when my data was transferred from old computer to new computer a lot of my songs on my hard drive were lost, but they were able to save all my songs on I tunes.  My I Pod is still connected Clicked on "On this Ipod" Music 938  Songs 2.2 days So my question to you is if I have 1,909 songs on my ITunes how come only 938 transferred to my IPod.  I checked my IPod and it shows only 938 songs transferred.  This did not happen before until I Tunes asked me if I wanted to update to a newer version.  Last month I did have all my 1,909 songs on my I Pod.  I hope this explains what I am asking

    Did you restore the phone as a new device when you did the restore/unlock, or did you restore it from an existing backup?  I have found that when unlocking an iPhone on the AT&T network, you don't get the message that the unlock was successful if you don't restore as a new device.  The unlock still works, you just don't get the message. Perhaps it is not carrier specific for this behavior.

    Sounds like it's hardware issue. The iPhone warranty is based in the original country of purchase. Since it was bought in Korea you will need to ship the phone to someone you know in Korea to be taken in and then they will have to ship it back to you. The cost of shipping will be at your expense.

  • Help! Can't update my Payment Information.

    I've recently had to cancel my old credit card. I've just been handed my new one. Same bank, same billing address. I've been trying to update my payment information for two days now, with no success. iTunes says one of two things: "Your credit card informatin does not match your bank's records. Please enter a US credit card and matching address." Of course the credit card is US as well as the bank. I
    've already called the bank twice to check that all the information is correct: billing address, credit card number and that the card is activated, etc. And they've said yes to all the aforementioned.
    The other legend I recieve is: "Enter a valid security code." So it's either one or the other, but I just can't get it to work. And the bummer is that I can't update nor download anything from iTunes nor the App Store until I get this corrected.
    Any takers? Please Help!

    And something else to try...
    Launch iTunes then from the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
    Click:  Reset warnings and Reset cache then click OK.
    See if that helps.

    I have tried repeatedly to update my payment information for iTunes.  My new inforamation will not save and I cannot download ANYTHING, including free apps. This is really REALLY irritating the **** out of me.

    i went back to check the Mac entry just to make sure it stuck.  when i enter the CORRECT security code it seems to accept it.  i click done and it seems to save the info.  but when i re-log in, the security code and exp date are empty.  this is the correct info.
    this is so frustrating that you are not able to speak to someone by phone at Apple about this type of issue. 
    i fully appreciate your help but there seems to be something going on with apple's recognition of my credit card info...

    You should be able to update your payment info as described on the page that you posted from e.g. by logging into your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes. If that isn't working, then are you getting any error messages, and what are you trying to change your payment method to e.g. debit or credit card ?
    If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
    If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ?
