Ihave a fairly new dell and am sick of it and windows want to switch to apple desktop and at least one laptop. any opinions
I am, frankly sick of clones and windows,these dells work but my god not as much as i work on them. its something i just take for granted 4 hrs use, hr of fix. I always liked apple and its os,should i get a desktop now or wait till july and get the new ones. also I and my wife who is computer braindead use the desktop my son and daughter both have dell desktops although my son does have an iphone. what desktop and what notebooks the airs look nice. any help appreciated thanks tim
I purchased a decent priced Mac Pro from eBay and then upgraded the graphics card and RAM. I also upgraded the CPU's, but that isn't something most casual computer users want to get into. RAM and video card was a no brainer on the Mac Pro.
I also scoured the local classifieds and found a nice iMac 17" 2ghz C2D. I bought some extra ram, and put Snow Leopard on it. Real great machine, works perfectly fine and runs anything I need it to do. Was a great price.
Or you can buy yourself a new iMac, you won't be disappointed. Looks great, has an awesome display, and is about as clutter free as possible. You can also run Windows via bootcamp if you need be.
My friend has a macbook air, real cook machine, but it suffers in t he performance area to keep it light weight. However, it does EVERYTHING he wants it to do.
I also run an eMac for internet browsing, word processing, and email. You can get them almost for free.

You will first have to install the OS that shipped with the Mac. After that, you can upgrade it to Mavericks.

In between my new iPhone and a old one, I used a replacement iPhone. On the replacement phone there were two backups created. I have a new iPhone now, but only the 2 old backups from my replancement phone. How do I get a older backup on my new phone?
Not sure where you backup to.
ITunes keeps the latest backup only.
Icloud keeps the 3 last backup. -

I have just installed prem elements 9 onto a new PC and it will not open any of the old projects
When I try to open any of the previous projects or any video file it comes up with the error message that the file format is not supported or the codex missing,. the same file will open OK on the old PC. This probems occurs for all video formats.
Without more information I can't say for sure, but:
1) You'll need to ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime installed in order to work with the MTS files from your Canon. Then start a new project and set it up for Full AVCHD video. When you do this the program will automatically install the necessary codecs.
2) As for the AVI, it could be an MJPEG AVI, which is an iffy file to edit in Premiere Elements. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Installing the software that came with the camera can help. -
I’m giving my ipad to my sister and I had the icloud account changed. I have added new ID and deleted the old one. However when updating and downloading apps, it still asks for password to the previous account. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks very much!

My Verizon e-mail account is closed and I can not access the needed updates for my I phone apps. Even if I knew the password I would have to access the old e-mail account which I can not do. I have an ID and password for my new laptop but not for my I phone which is under a Verizon service contract....ugh!!! Thanks

How do I create a new account and delete old one.
I want to stop current account and start a new one.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account.
This will not move your photo stream, however. If you have photos in photo stream that you haven't backed up anywhere else you will need to save these before deleting the account. If your computer is syncing with your iCloud account, your can photo stream photos directly to your computer. If not, open your photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos to select them, tap the share arrow button, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Once in the camera roll you can import them to your computer. -
I followed all the prompts and plugged my new 4S into my desktop, everything has sync'd but I still can't make any calls. It's obviously not connecting to the network. What am i doing wrong?

I have a new computer that will not have any web browser installed when I acquire it. So, I cannot download Firefox, say, using Internet Explorer. Can I get a copy of Firefox on a CD and use that instead.
Easiest is to download the full Firefox installer and copy that file to an USB stick.
