Imputed Income for Dependent Life Insurance

We are trying to configure Imputed Income for Dependent Life Insurance and having issues with the amounts being calculated.
Using the formual proivded by the IRS the imputed income is calculated as follows:

Less IRS Allowance                                   0.00
Taxable Coverage                        375,000.00
Divided by 1000                               375.00
IRS table factor                                   0.43
Imputed Income                               161.25

Adjusted Imputed Income per IRS calc           37.12
SAP calculates the folliwng amounts though. One question is our uncertainty as to which of theswe two WT's is the inouted income.
Imputed Income From SAP                              57.67 /bd1
Imputed Income From SAP                              18.74 /bt2
Any suggestions where to look to get this resolved?

I believe that you are talking about wagetype /BT1.
/BD1 - EE Dep. GTLI Cost
This wage type represents the group term life insurance premium costs for an employee's dependent.
/BD2 - EE Dep. GTLI Coverage
This wage type represents the group term life insurance coverage amount for an employee's dependent.
/BT1 - This wage type represents a group term life insurance premium
(employee's dependent) amount which is taxable.

    Jay - "Define Dependent Eligibility Rules" is where I could only find medical plans.  The life insurance only seems to allow beneficiary criteria.
    Ram - I had tried the Age grouping, but it looks like it's controlling coverage costs.  So if I create an addtional age range with a cost of $0, they could still have the plan. But they really shouldn't have it any longer.  I want them to show up on the participation monitor.  At least this was my interpretation.   I thought this may be a pretty common requirement.

    Hi,
    We have noticed that EOI is being required when the insurance coverage amount goes down as well as up for coverage level changes.
    Is this an expected result?
    We have configured "Change of Coverage" at 1x Salary and thought it only applied to increases.  For example, going from 1x to 3x would require EOI, but going from 3x to 1x would not. 
    Has anyone else had this experience?

    The EOI report monitor is what they are using to administer EOI.  The config condition as previously described is "Change of Coverage" at 1x Salary for this Life Insurance.
    I am trying to ascertain whether coding EOI for a "change" means changes up and down to SAP.

  • Spouse life insurance for same *** spouse

    We are configuring our health/insurance plans to allow same *** spouse as a dependent/beneficiary/enrollee.  We were advised to create a new subtype for family member called ‘Same *** Spouse’ rather than just using the existing ‘Spouse’.  The problem we are running into is on our Spouse Life Insurance.  SAP only allows costs to be determined based on the age of either the Employee, the Spouse or the Domestic Partner.  We are not able to choose the new Same *** Spouse.  Has anyone found a way around this?  How is everyone handling Same *** Spouses (for legally married spouses).   Are you just using the existing Spouse relationship?  If so, has that caused any issues elsewhere?

    I'm not sure why you want to use a different subtype. Spouse is not gender specific so it can be used for same *** partner as well (you will get a warning message saying that the gender is the same but it will be possible to save the record and thus have the same functions), and this is the recommended process.
    It will make the rest of the configuration much more easier. I actualy believe that it might be discriminatory to have different suptype for same *** spouse, which is probably why SAP did not provide a specific subtype in the the first place.

    If you want to pay an employee 10000 net for a housing allowance for ex. you will set up your WT in PCL 68 with the val. 5.
    SAP will take the 10000 and will calculate the gross up using either the agregate method or the supplemental what ever you set up the wt.
    So your $10000 net will became $16435 gross ( exampl for IL state) because 6435 will be the taxes that needed to be paid:
    25% Federal 16435x25%=
    3% IL state 16435x3% (each state has his own supplemental rates)
    6.2% SOcial Sec (partial or none if the employee maxed out) 16435x6.2%=
    1.45% Medicare 16435x1.45%
    The hypotax is a different story. This is actualy a deduction that the company is taking from an employee pay because he doesn't have to pay a real tax due a foreign assignment.
    Imputed income is income that gets added to employees taxable wages for non cash benefits like life insurance, LTD premium, etc

    We are using Imputed Income to calculate Group Term Life, Imputed income considers 27 pay periods (instead of 26 pay periods) to calculate per pay check amount.

    I think we can change the pay date even though you change the pay date to 12/31/2009, this is like 27 pay dates but only 26 pay periods, the pay date moved from 01/01/2010 to 12/31/2009 is for 1st pay period of 2010, any way I am into same situation we want to have 27 pay periods in 2009 instead of 2010 let me know if you guys figure it out.

  • Adding beneficiary to Optional Life insurance in ESS creating new record

    Hi,
    We have a insurance plan called Optional Life Insurance. IN the portal (ESS) when a employee adds a new beneficiary to this plan, system is creating a new pending record by delimiting the old record to end of that month. The problem is the newly created pending record is asking for EOI (evidence of Insurability).
    Adding or deleting of beneficiaries in portal is resulting in EOI being asked. When the same process is done through GUI, there is no problem.
    The EOI setting for action in IMG for this plan is "Create Pending record for desired option".
    (But this setting is only for enrollment, this should  not be reflected when beneficiary is added or deleted, right?)

  • Credit Life Insurance Fee on BB credit card charges since 2004

    Wow, I am in awe that this has been charged to my account since 2004 even though I never authorized it.
    I even called and had it cancelled in 2004 but I believe it gets added everytime you make a purchase at Best Buy.
    It is currently at $600 a year.
    I called today to get it cancelled again and requested I be reimbursed for all charges.  I was told it has been cancelled and would get a letter in 30 days as to the status of my request.  At this time, I will not be using the credit card ever again nor shop at Best Buy until this is resolved completely to my satisfaction.
    I plan to complain to BBC, FTC and any other source I can to get reimbursed.
    No other credit card I have does this to me.  Granted, I do not look at my monthly statements for all my accounts, something caled TRUST that I grew up with.

  • Shell window for the life of the server??

    We open a shell to remotely start a server on another machine, but we can't then
    logout of the shell without killing the server! Do we really have to maintain
    that
    shell for the life of the server? If someone starts a server and then has to
    bounce
    their machine, it would mean ungracefully shutting down the remote WLS.
    What are we missing? Cannot find an answer in the WLS 6.1 administration guide.
    We tried putting the command in the background, and using nohup, but nothing
    seems to work.
    Answer??

    that is obviously ``WebLogic" you will, depending on Unix version, see a
    bunch of proceses all called Java. Also the ``weblogic.Server" you are
    referring to is a class inside the weblogic.jar file which is located in
    $BEA_HOME/weblogic81/server/lib. You could not simply issue the command
    $java weblogic.Server anyway as that wouldn't be enough to start the
    server completely. Username and password information can be passed in a
    number of ways. First you can add the system properties
    weblogic.management.username and weblogic.management.password to the
    start script. You can also create a boot.properties file in the domain
    directory containing the 3DES encrypted username and password. Third,
    you can create a UserConfig file which contains the encrypted username
    and password. All of this and more is detailed in the administration

  • HT5731 I bought a full season of a TV show. I downloaded all episodes. When I go into my iTunes library, select the episodes I get a message of: This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. I can't for the life of me get the TV show to play.

I got this message: This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. I can't for the life of me get the TV shows to play. I went on iTunes and when to my purchases. Clicked on the episodes and the same message popped up. How do I get these to play? I also see my download box with an error message saying it has paused the download. I click unpause and it just pauses again. I have been able to get one of the episodes to play once through, but now it gives me the same message.

    It's been months, so you may not care anymore, but you can't download songs from multiple Apple IDs over a 90 days period.  Sorry, it's not allowed for legal reasons.

    You have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials.  This deletes the account and your synced data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing to a different account, your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.

    With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
    In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer. 
    There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
    In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

    You should maintain proper MRP related parameters for both FG and SFG.Check all the MMR parameters :
    1.MRP Type -PD for FG/SFG
    2.Procurement Type -E  for FG/SFG
    3.Planning Startegy -10  in FG
    4.BOM/Routing Explosion -Keep it Blank
    5.Indiviaul/Collective Indicator -not applicable as it is MTS  so keep it blank
    6.Validity of BOM /Routing should be corrcet before MRP run in MD02-NETCH , 2,1,3,3,2
    7.What is the Lot Sizing Set up-EX in OMI4-Scheduling Tab -Requirement date =Delievery Date and BOM Validity Date  .
    Ref .Re: MRP not plalned for dependent components
    8.Check in MRP4 -MRP Dept Requirement Parametre should be balnk for plalling the SFG  in MMR of FG -MM02
    I hope this issue may be with BOM explosion as per the validity and lot size -schedueling set up .
