Info Record Validity Dates - Future Period

Hi Gurus
can you help
we have current Purchase Info Recs in place, with pricing condition records that have a validity date that will expire in the next few days
we have already loaded the next pricing for the next cotnract period with the vendor, but wish to check the accuracy of the data before that pricing condition becomes "current"
do you know how can we pull the data from the future validity period pricing condition record, so we can validiate this
i have only found ways to get the current pricing conditions, but not the one for the future period
please advise
many thanks

hi Velu
we maintain Pricing Condition Type PB00 in ME13
when i key a Pur Ord for the part, then go to Conditions tab in ME21n, then select the Analysis of the Pricing Condition, it bring up Procedure RM0000
then Gross Price PB00, then various steps under this
a number of steps not executed due to requirements not filled etc, being Contracts, outline agreements, Plant Infor Rec Order Unit, then Material Info Rec (Plant Specific)  A017, then Material Info Rec table A018 with various field names
For Access Sequence step Mat Info Rec (Plant Specific)  it does say No condition record was found for this condition using the document data.
any thoughts
If we cannot resolve i shall leave it for now, and review on the day it becomes current
many thanks

  • Info record validity date is in Past

    Hello,
we got an error saying "Info record validity date is in Past" while creating the PO.
But we had checked all validity conditions in PIR and all are fetched correctly from PIR to PO.
Due to this error we are unable to post the PO.
kindly guide me further where we need to check the settings in the system.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    SI

Check your posting period. Use OMSY to check. MMPV to reopen.
Check the info record. There you have Available From and Available To fields for the Vendor. Recheck the Valid to field in Conditions tab.
Check the souce list (ME01) for the material and plant. There you have valid from and valid to dates.
These are just suggestions. Let me know if your problem is solved.

Look up the error message Number and then get the error message to warning and this will solve your problem.
Follow this path to change message from E to W: Spro>MM>Purchasing>Enivronment data>Define Attributes of system message, click execute, then look up your message.

    Hi Phemmy,
it is possible to create  PO before info record .info record establishes the relationship between vendor and your particular material.
    to answer your 2nd question:
it is possible to create inforecord automatically during PO creation. in the ME2N screen, in the material tab, put the material code. then go to item details.in the materail data tab, you will get infoupdate  check it.and then inforecord will be created automatically.
    Thanks

  • PO creation date and info record validy price relation.

    Dear Gurus,
While creating a PO, when I change the PO creation date, price in the PO will change according to the validity start date based on the PIR.I believe thats the logic right? I have a scenario, I'm facing a problem that when I change the PO creation date between 2011 and 2012 period,  the price of the PO at times will not change according to the PIR validity start date. Is there any OSS note related to this issue or I'm missing out any logic?

    HI,
By default, the pricing conditions are dependant on PO document date.
But there are different options like, whether you want your pricing to be dependant on Delivery date of PO item or current date (sy-datum) or GR date etc.
This filed is available in 2 places: 1. Vendor master>purchasing data> Pricing Date Control
    2. Info record>Purchasing data> Pr.Date Cat.
Check in these 2 places and then simulate pricing by changing the corresponding date.

  • Supply Option dates in info record

    Hello
My users specified "Available From" and "Available To" dates in Info Record. They would like these dates to be automatically emptied when both dates are past dates.
    Can this be done ?
    Thank you.

Our users would like to use info record to temporarily (for a period of time) block a PO to be assigned to a vendor. One option is to specify the available from and available to fields in info record.
Once the period is over, the users would like the two dates to be emptied so POs can be assigned to this vendor again.
    Thanks,

How does Info Record tie in the procurement cycle, or how does it integrates with the purchase cycle
    Thanks
    Ganga

    Hi,
Purchasing Info Records serves as a source of information for Purchasing. The purchasing info record (also referred to in abbreviated form as the "info record") contains information on a specific material and a vendor supplying the material. For example, the vendor's current pricing is stored in the info record.
The info record allows buyers to quickly determine:
Which materials have been previously offered or supplied by a specific vendor
Which vendors have offered or supplied a specific material structure.
    Content of an Info Record:
    The info record contains:
Data such as prices and conditions that you can store for the relevant purchasing organization or plant.
The number of the last purchase order.
Tolerance limits for overdeliveries and underdeliveries.
The planned delivery time (lead time required by the vendor to deliver the material).
    Vendor evaluation data.
An indicator showing whether the vendor counts as the regular vendor for the material.
The vendor sub-range to which the material belongs.
The availability period during which the vendor can supply the material.
The info record contains quotation and ordering data. The data in the info record (prices for example) is also used as default data for purchase orders.
For instance, you can store the current and future quotation conditions (discounts, fixed costs etc.) in the info record, in order to be able to copy them into Pos. You can also maintain the vendoru2019s conditions directly in the info record.
    Organizational Levels:
An info record can apply to the following organizational levels:
    Purchasing organization
    Plant
    Procurement Types in Info Records:
    Standard
A standard info record contains information for standard purchase orders. The info records can be created for materials and services with and without master records.
    Subcontracting
A subcontractor info record contains ordering information for subcontract orders. For example, if you subcontract the assembly of a component, the subcontractor info record would include the vendor's (subcontractoru2019s) price for assembling the component.
    Pipeline
A pipeline info record contains information on a vendoru2019s commodity that is supplied through a pipeline or pipes (for example, oil or water) or by similar means (for example, electricity through the mains). The info record contains the vendoru2019s price for the consumption of such commodities by the buyer ("pipeline withdrawals"). You can store withdrawal/usage prices for different validity periods.
    Consignment
A consignment info record contains information on a material that vendors keep available at their own cost on the ordereru2019s premises. The info record contains the vendoru2019s price for withdrawals by the orderer from consignment stock. As in the case of the pipeline info record, you can store prices for different validity periods.
    Order Price History
The purchase order price history logs the various prices charged for a material by a vendor.
    Texts in the Info Record
The info record contains the following text types:
    Info record memo
An internal note or comment that is adopted in the PO item. The info record memo is not printed out.
    PO text in info record
This text serves to describe the order item and corresponds to the PO text in the material master record. It is adopted in the PO item and included in the printout.
    Short text
For material that has a material master record, the short text (short description) is adopted directly from the material master record in the PO or the outline purchase agreement.
PO Text in Info Record Versus PO Text in Material Master Record
For an info record linked to a material master record, you can specify for each purchasing organization whether:
Only the info record PO text is to be displayed and printed in purchasing documents (To do so, set the indicator No m. text in the purchasing organization data of the info record)
    or
Both the info record PO text and the material master record PO text are to be displayed and printed in purchasing documents
Both texts are displayed and printed if the indicator No m. text is not set.
    Reward if useful.
    Regards,
    Komal

  • Costing run with values for material from info record.

    Hi All
there is requirement with my client, that when i run my costing run the values of the components in BOM should be from the latest purchase order.
For this i am maintined valuation criteria as price from info record and sub strategy as gross price from PO.
When i am create a PO the info record is created automatically in background. So when i run costing run the value is picked correctly.
Now when i create a PO with same material from diff vendor the info record is generated, but on costing run it picks the value from the info record of earlier vendor. For this i go and check the conditions tab in info record, ensure its balnk and save it. Again generate new PO and then run a costing run. This time the system reads the latest info record.
My problem is that i want to ensure that during the costing run, system should read the latest info record w/o manual intervention. System behaviour is not consistent when there is multiple vendor and same material info records. Sometimes it pick up the value and sometimes it refers the old info record.
Can any one help me out in resolving this issue. Its critical.
    Regards
    Rakesh

    Hi!
Generally first info records will be created with vendor, then PO will be created, based on info records price, price will be updated in PO.
If you have more than one vendor for same material, you have to create info records for each vendor. then you need to maintain source list, where you can fix the vendor. If there is no fix vendor, then you can do schedule agreement with vendors, where you have to give proportionate percentages again each vendor.
    Now for costing run :
    1. if you have only one info record, the price will take from that info record.
    2. if you have more than one info record, you need to mantain source list, where you can tick the fixed vendor, then system will take price from that vendor info record.
    3. if there is no fixed vendor and you have maintained scehduel agreement with weightage to vendor, then higher percentage vendor info record price will be picked up.
    4. if you have more info reocrds, not maintianed source list or schedule agreement, price will be picked up from first info record ( based on info record creation date).
    5. if you have a schedule agreement, but you have given equal weightage for example 50% and 50%, then also system will pick up from first info record.
i think it is clear now.

  • Need BADI or user exit to check info record on MM41/MM42.

    System:  SAP ECC 6.0 Retail
Problem:  During article maintenance (MM41/MM42), we want to check certain fields on the info record (EINA) for only one valuation class.
    Steps already taken:
Checked the current BADi.  The current BADi, BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK, did not contain a parameter for EINA.  (It did contain parameters for MARA, MARC, MBEW, MKVE, etc.)
Searched for other user exits and/or BADiu2019s.  In SPRO/IMG under Logistics General, Material Master, Retail Specific Settings, Settings for Core Master Data and BADi: Additional Checks and Data Adjustment, I found u201CWRF_MAT_MAINTAINDATAu201D which contains a method u201CMODIFY_INFORECORD_DATAu201D.  This looked like it may be what I was looking for.
So I created an implementation ZWRF_MAT_MAINTAINDAT.  It insisted on defined filters.  So I set up the following filters:
01     Core Article  Master Data Maintenance
    02     Article Copy Functions
    03     Article Mass Maintenance
    99     Not Specified
    Then I activated it.
I put a break into the method, but the transaction MM42 (nor MM41) would stop at the break point.
Did I miss a step?  Is this the wrong BADi?  Are the filters wrong?
    Can anyone help?

    There is BAdI for this.
