Inspection plan based on workcentre

Dear Sir
We have one plant,in that we are using two interfaces, result recording has to come from this interfaces for that there is only one material code,we are using workcenter in inspection plan and even for that plan there are two operation,so how get the correct plan for the production confirmation
Aim if there is eg X work center  its should take X plan
If there is Y workcenter it  should take take Y plan
We donu2019t want to use dynamic modification rule ,and in search field in we use some to detect  the plan,it will peak but how to segregate that w r t to workcentre

Dear Kunal,
I am not so sure what sort of user interface you are dealing with.
First of all may I request you to clarify with which inspection type you are working (03, 04, 01 or 89)?
For every operation you can assign only 1 work center and 1 inspection plan may contain several operations.
Inspection characteristics are defined at operation level only. These MICs may also vary operation to operation depending upon nature of operation. For example, if your inspection plan contains u201CDrillingu201D and u201CInner Threadingu201D as 2 operations, you can have diameter as inspection parameter for drilling and pitch for threading. Kindly note this entire information is associated with only 1 plan.
When the inspection lot is created and you click on results tab in QA32, system throws pop up of operations. There you need to choose for which operation you want to perform result recording. If you select Drilling, only diameter will be displayed to you to put observed reading.
To sum up, this mechanism ensures to pick operation specific (work center specific) inspection characteristics. There is no need to create 2 inspection plans if your plan contains 2 operations in a single plan.

  • Inspection plan as per customer sale order

    Hi QM Expert,
I want to create Inspection plan automatically when inspection lot is created against production order which is made by reference of sales order which contain the specifications of product required by customer every time the customer change the value as per it,s requirement ,is it possible in SAP ,please Guide me step by step
    Regards
    Aaditya

    Dear Aditya
Is it that all mics keep on changing or is it only some of them randomly. As this is a MTO automizing the inspection plan is not possible.
I could see only 2 possible solution
    1) If only some of the mic changes make use of addition mics in result recording. manualy insert the mic with the specification at the time of result recording. you can also give the specification while inserting
    2) create an inspection plan based on the customer using differernt group counters or using a single group counter and dependent charactertistic. You can change the specification before the GR is made or even after the GR is made
If you think you have some idea about automising please let us know

  • Customer specific Inspection Plan

    hi experts,
Can any one help to create customer specific inspection plan. Our client requirements as follows,
In Inspection plan based on Usage we can able to assign vendor wise inspection plan for single material in material assignment, like that is it possible to assign customer name in inspection plan. so that we can choose the Inspection plan based on customer specification. any one can help me in the above requirement.
    awaiting for your replies,
    Muthamil

    Dear Muthamil
There is no configuration setting required . A typical cusomter inspection plan can be given as
    For a material X Suppose you have Customer A, B , C, D , E. Customer . A & B have the same specification c, D,& E has a another set of specification in this case :
QP01 > Material (X) / plant > Usage and status > material assignment > give the customer A. As you have mulitple customer ie B also with same specification then in material assignement input the same group counter in the below line of the material assignment along with /material and customer B combination.
The give the operation details and in inspection characerisitc MIC details as you normaly give
For the next set again goto QP01 ( for customer CDE
QP01 > Give the same material X and Plant > Click on New entries >  Usage and status > material assignment > give the customer C.
As you have  mulitple customer D E,  also with same specification then in material assignement input the same group counter in the below line of the material assignment along with /material and customer Dcombination and repeat the same for customer E
By doing this system should automacticaly pick up the customer specification when sale order of Customer E is used
    hope this helps

  • Task list usage inspection plan - Universal 3 and GR 5

    Dear Friends,
while creating Inspection plan for GR inspection from Procurment it is advisable to use Task list usage 5 or usage 3 which is universal
may i know what is the difference
    Please advise also
There is task list type  Goods receipt model  -    501  which  is Material, vendor and manufacturer what that mean and where it  is used
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Hi Rajkumar,
While planning an Inspection, which Task List gets assigned to which Inspection Lot is linked through combination of TaskList Usage and Lot Inspection Type
In spro (at the location as suggested above) we assign TaskList usage to the Inspection Type. When any Lot is created based on the setting in QM view of MM, it looks for this link for automatic assignment to the lot.
For your question "while creating Inspection plan for GR inspection from Procurment it is advisable to use Task list usage 5 or usage 3 which is universal"; both options will work as long as the above config in spro is maintained.
It is however advisable to use the standard option of TaskList Usage of  05 as it is easier to segregate and analyse TaskList / Inspection Plans based on their usage; in case any need arises.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,
    RKM.

  • Inspection lot creation based on "right" inspection plan version

I manage inspection plan ( inspection lot origin 01 ) with Change number; in this way I have differents inspection plan version based on date.
When I do a Good Entry based on purchase order , I need that system creates inspection lot version based on the purchase order creation date and not , as now, based on good entry date
    Is it possible ?
When I create the purchase order I send to vendor also the inspection plan characteristich that have to be maintened ; for this reason I need to find same characterist during good entry inspection
    Regards
    Silly

You need to use one of the enhancements that Do-Wook has suggested.  There is no standard SAP way to suppress the inspection based on the vendor batch number.
With the first enhancement you use the system to check for a previously received vendor batch and if one is found, then that batch number is proposed and not the next one from the numbering series.  In this case, the lot isn't created than due to the inspection lot control of the inspection type.
With the second enhancement you check the vendor batch number and if it's been received you suppress the inspection lot creation and the stock goes right to unrestricted.
You'll probably need to do one or the other.  Myself, I prefer the first enhancement.

  • Inspection plan selection based on production workcenter for Inspection typ

    Dear QM Guru's,
I have requirement of automatic inspection lot creation based on production work center.
For example :- I have Inspection Plan A, Plan B and Plan C for Material XYZ. My requirement is that, when inspection lot created for material XYZ ,when we release production order (Early lot creation) , it should create inspection lot based on production work centers in the order. In this case, if production workcenter A is in the prodiction order, system automatically assigned inspection plan A, when workcenter B,it should choose inspection plan B and same for C workcenter.
Can we have this set up in the system?
Let me know if u need any other details.
    Thanks in advance.

The workcenters in QM and PP don't have to be the same.  In the user exit your going to code in the logic you want to use to select the inspection plan.
I suggested creating the workcenters the same and the code can use that info to match up the correct task list group to assign the inspection lot. But if that doesn't work pick something else.
Your code can use any logic you want.  You can put a description in the short text if you want.
You can just have an understanding that task list group 10 is always used for production work center XYZ and task list group 20 is always used for production work center ABC and task list group  30 is always used for production work center 123.  In the user exit you check which production line and just change the group to 10, 20 or 30 then.
I don't care what you pick or how you do it, neither does the function module.  I believe the function module will pass in the parameters of the task list it is planning to assign.  You then have the ability to use the code to pick a different one and pass back new parameters for the task list.

  • How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

    Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.
    Thanks
    SAP Fans...

    Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

  • Error in LSMW in Uploading Inspection Plan in QP01

    Hi All,
I am facing problem when executing LSMW, I am Uploading Inspection Plan in QP01 transaction using Direct Input methos. The problem is on 13th step :Error that I get is 'No profile with entry tool for task list / / / in session INSPECTION_OBJ', here INSPECTION_OBJ is the name of the session. I have given the constant value of field profile (BIPKO-PROFIDNETZ) in mapping step and also activated check box 'entry tool' under profile to remove this error. But in  that case i can pass only the header data while processing the session and control does not get into Operation and characteristic screen.
    Can anyone pls help me..
    Thanks in advance...

You might need to redo the recording all over again, BDC has plentty of scenario for screen selection to go wrong, so can't really tell what cause your problem based on your desc.  I have been stop using BDC to uplaod material since 5 years ago, I always use Direct input in LSMW and it works much better. I recomend you try the Direct input method instead of BDC if still getting problem.

  • QM Inspection Plans migration - How to migrate deleted plans.

    Hello All,
I'm currently working on a migration project from 4.7 to 6.0.
Our customer wants to migrate all QM inspection plans, including those are marked as deleted (PLKO-LOEKZ = 'X').
I'm using BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE. The BAPI works fine when the inspection plan which is being loaded is not marked as deleted. But when I try to upload another one which is mark as deleted (BAPI1191_TSK_C-DEL_IND = 'X'), I get the following error from BAPIRETURN: "The object does not exist for scheduled deletion time" (Message class CPCC_DT, number 214).
Does anybody knows if it is possible to load inspection plans marked as deleted using this BAPI?

    C N,
The principal Idea is to migrate either
    - the original amounts, the installment plan and last the latest payments (you migrate payment history)
    - or to migrate the still open amount as one or more open items and subsequently an installment based on that amount.
    Kind regards,
    Fritz

  • Statutory Inspection planning in PM

    Dear Experts,
I need an advise on the Inspection planning in plant maintenance. To me Inspection and calibrations are two different processes.
Inspection can be related to any equipment (whether a Test Equipment or a manufacturing equipment). Test equipment e.g. Vernier caliper, Meggers, Current meter, Multimeter etc. helps to take the measurement reading. With time , the accuracy of the measuring equipment gets deviated from the required and then it need to undergo the "Calibration Process".
On the other hand, the manufacturing Equipment, It self need to undergo some "Statutory Inspection" (due to legal requirement from various government bodies) e.g. in large Oil and gas plants , Particle content into smoke, Noise level from an equipment, Inspection of various fire extinguishers  etc are required to be inspected on periodic basis and need to be certified by an external/ internal agency. This certificate can be submitted on demand to various Govt. bodies.
if some Non compliance is being found during Inspection, the corrective action need to taken by replacement or maintenance of that part.
I need to get some guidance on Inspection plan for such equipment. How the process can be mapped into SAP. Do we need to go through QM path for Inspection plan? How certificates can  be issued for this process?
Please provide the detailed steps ..
    Thanks

    Hi Dennis,
You can try the following process. It might help.
For Statutory requirement a time based maintenance plan can be created.
For Smoke Particle/ Noise, Mater Inspection Characteristics (MICs) can be created, with qualitative indicator.
Rest of the process might be mapped as below:-
1: Assign an Order to inspection type 14 in configuration.
2: Create Master Inspection Characteristics (Quantitative or Qualitative as per your requirement)  and assign sampling procedure.
3: Create a task list with inspection point 300 and assign Master Inspection Characteristics to it. Assign control key PM01 (for internal) or PM03 (for external processing)
4: Create a Maintenance Plan with the same task list for an Equipment with the order type with inspection type 14
5: An Order will be created as per the schedule given in Maintenance Plan.
6: An inspection lot will be generated once the order is released.
7: Do result recording and usage decision for the same.
8: I think there is a provision to print certificate as well  (I have not used it though)
    Hope it will be useful.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sanjay

  • Using inspection plan in multiple plants

    Hi,
I would like to use one inspection plan in multiple plants. Are there any disadvantages or pitfalls? (besides the fact that if I use workcenters, the same workcenters must exist in all plants using the plan)
    Marcus.

I love to use material specs.  They can be used alone or in conjunction with a plan.
There are several reasons why plans must be used in certain situations.
Dynamic modification is one of the big ones.  You can only use DMR in inspection plans.
You also need plans to work with PRT assignments.
Security based on workcenters.  Some plants require that only certain techs or personnel perform certain inspections.  And the people who can do results recording is strictly monitored.  This is especially true for those using SAP in the Pharm and food industries.
Using calculated characteristics.  These can only be taken advantage of if your use inspection plans.
Enginerring change management.  Plans can used ECM to track and document changes.  Another big requirment in Pharma and food.
If a material spec is used it is an all or nothing situation.  In many places, there might be 20 or 30 characteristics on a given material spec.  If you inspect by material spec then all the characteristics in the material spec are copied into the inspection lot.  If you inspect in conjunction with a plan, any characteristics that don't match up with an inspection plan characteristic are appended to the last operation of the plan.
Since in many places, inspections are done at various stages, or maybe derived from batch derivation, they often want to pick and choose what tests get performed at what inspection.  A good example would be 03 and 04 lots.  Many places might test some characteristics via the 03 inspection that get the tests from the routing/receipe.  If the test is done in a later operation, there may not be any need to repeat the test in the 04 inspection lot.  Using a material spec, they wouldn't have that flexibility.  Anther example are 09 recurring inspections.  Many companies may only inspect a certain subset of characteristics to requalify the material at reinspection.
Capturing costs for specific testing must use an inspection plan.  (yes, you can use general QM order in the material master if you want, but the operation header of a plan has various values and settings for working with costs)
And now in 6.0, if you want to use the multiple spec functionality, you have to use inspection plans.
If you integrate with EH&S and maintain specs in EH&S then EH&S can create and update all the inspection plans as changes are made.  But not material specs.
I think I hit some of the big reasons,  I'm sure others can probably come up with ones I've missed.

  • Automatic Results Recording for Inspection Plan

I'm trying to activate automatic results recording, at the beginning I get this meassage: "In customizing for default value of inspection type(400) you have to activate the following check boxes, " check characteristics", "Inspection with task list" & "Automatic assignment", I've done that. Yet, it sill doesn't work and the lot status is "CRTD" however it should be updated to "REL" status.

    Hi,
Did you search enough before posting this query? There is plenty of discussions over this matter.
Based on the details given above, I don't think you have created an inspection plan.
Automatic assignment will assign the task list automatically to the inspection lot once it is created. You didn't mention if you have created one or not. Pl check that.
If the inspection plan is created, there could be possibility that material is assigned to more than one task list (inspection plan). If that is the case, you wouldn't get inspection lots with REL status but CRTD only.

  • Error while creating Inspection plan

    Hi,
While creating inspection plan in QP01, system is showing error  "Material type ZROH is not defined for task list type Q''
Please help me to solve the error.
    Thanks
    Prasant

    Hi,
This is due to the configuration error,
    Just use T.Code OP50
Create an entry for task list type "Q" with material type "ZROH" and save,
Then try creating a Quality Inspection Plan, it will work

  • Sale Order / Project specific Inspection Plan

    Dear All,
I want to create Sale order or Project specific inspection plan for a material. This is because, my  customers want some specific inspection requirements for individual materials, which are assigned to Sale order or project. I want to inspect the material after receipt for these specific account assignments. I do not want to assign the customer because, my single customer may give different sale orders with different inspection requirements.
But in inspection plan, i can not see the assignment of sale order / project as i can see in Rate Routing.
Can anybody tell me about this?
    Regards,
    Prashant Kolhatkar

Create a Material ONE as Configurable Material. Assign 300 Class Type Class with Charcateristics created through CT04 Transaction which in turn linked to MICs.
Create another Material TWO with same Class but not configurable but is a Variant of Material ONE (MRP 3 View)
Maintain Configuration Profiles for both Materials.
In Material TWO, for insp. type details click on Insp. by Config indicator.
Whenever a Sales Order is created, maintain the requirements from the Customer in Characteristics and save the Sales Order. Against this Sales Order whenever a GR is made for respective Production Order inspection lot is created against the specifications given by Customer and not that maintained in inspection plan.
