Integrating new system into CPH (Central Performance History)

Hi,
I have configured (CPH( in Solution Manager 7 EHP1, during the configuration I have assigned 2 systems into (CPH)
1. Solution Manager system itself
2. R/3 system
in both systems CCMS configuration is done
when displaying report in (RZ23N) I see only solution manager itself, data from other system is not readen, or displayed.
Does someone have the procedure (Document) how exactly to assign system in to CPH, and display required information
Thanks for your help in advance.
sahmad

Dear Shamad,
Check this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/2b/05120ab0aade4c8b5eaa86211b2c7f/frameset.htm, may be it is useful for you to configure the systems for CPH.

  • Central Performance History from satellite systems

    Hi,
I'm investigating Central Performance History at the moment but am having problems getting the statistics from the satellite systems from Solution Manager.
I have our Solution Manager system setup as the CCMS CEN. I monitor about 10 SAP instances using CCMS and a number of non-SAP systems. CCMS works okay and issues alerts. I believe that this means I have the necessary RFCs in place for communication between Solution Manager and satellite systems to collect performance data.
When I use RZ23N to review the data being collected it only shows the Solution Manager system, it doesn't show any of the other SAP systems.
How can I configure the other systems to send their performance stats to Solution Manager so I can report centrally?
    SolMan - NW 7.01SP4 on Windows 2003
    Satellite systems - NW 7.0
I've read through the help pages but them only seem to reference one system, rather than collecting from satellite systems.
    Thanks,
    Gareth

    Hi David,
Thanks, I hadn't looked at the note.
Section 2 - history of all connected systems showed me what to do to collect the data. I had seen that in the setup but not understood the implications of it fully. The note explained it much clearly than the SAP help.
    Thanks again,

  • Need some hints for evaluating data from Central Performance History

    Hi Experts,
I am pretty new to all the BI-stuff and hopefully someone can provide some hints. I got the requirement to read data (CPU usage/peaks) from central performance history of "system a" into "bi system" to generate overviews/charts/etc
Now I guess there might be a standard report/info cubes and stuff which will help to solve this.
I would really appreciate if someone could throw me a few keywords about this topic.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Central Performance History of SLR-SOLMAN

I need to define in Central Performance History of SLR-SOLMAN,
Background monitoring object - AbortedJobs Attribute name but this
indicator doesn't exist in CPH, ALPERFOB table doesn't know this
    indicator.
Is it possible to define a new object in CPH ?
If yes, how can we insert it into CPH ?

  • Integrating new acquistion into SAP

    Hi,
We've recently acquired a new company and it needs to be integrated into our current SAP system.
From a business perspective I believe there are 3 possibilities:
    1. Use a separate SAP company code
    2. Same company code but use profit centres
    3. Same company code but use sales orgs and purchasing orgs
From an implementation viewpoint, is there any information regarding the pros/cons of each?
    Thanks in advance.

  • [Solved] Integrating new Partitions into the Filesystem

    Hello,
I reinstalled arch a couple days ago. I'm not using GPT with
    /var, /boot, / , and /home partitions.
However, during the installion, i didnt add /var, /boot, and /home to my fstab [ i assumed genfstab would do this]
Thus, i've only been using one of my partions, my root partition.
So, now that i've discovered this, i would like to use them [20gb is not enough for me lol]
However, i've already installed lots of programs and the /var, /boot/ and /home directories on my root partition are full of stuff.
So how do i integrate these partitions into my filesystem? I need to copy all the files from the /var, /boot, and /home directories onto the
    /var, /boot, and /home partitions.
I could just mount each onto a dummy directory, copy the files onto their respective partition, umount, then remount onto the correct directories.
Is that the safest sequence of steps to take? If not what is?
    Thank you

lol. Didn't see the arch wiki post on this exact issue. The steps i outlined are those suggested by the wiki.
Add new partitions to an existing system
Should this be marked for deletion?

  • Integrating new acquistions into SAP : Approach

    Hi
Our Client has decided to integrate one of their newly acquired companies into SAP.  As a key technical resource i have been asked to identify critical areas within RICEF developments. What would be a good starting point for me ? I am new to this kind of work and was hoping if anyone can help me with the broad picture or approach to get me started. I do not expect anyone to spoon feed me or provide exact solutions.

  • Error while integrating Windows System - Share into KM

    Hi Experts,
I am new to KM and there is a requirement of Integrating Windows System into KM.
    Portal System : a.xyz.com
    Remote System: b.xyz.com
    Share -
    b.xyz.com\d_share$
Both systems reside in the same domain and share is created on the remote system which needs to be accessed from Portal. User xyz\Rob has given R/W access to the share.
    The steps I followed are:
    1. Created a Network Path.
        - Specified Network Path as given above.
        - Added credentials for xyz\Rob
    2. Created Windows System in KM Systems Landscape.
    3. Created File System Repository.
        - Specified Share as Root Direcory.
        - Specified Windows Landscape System as the system defined in the above step.
        - Security Manger as W2kSecurityManager
Now when I saved it, default trace logs are giving following dump :

    Hi,
Check whether you are able to access the same file share form the Portal server where your J2EE is installed.
And also if you have used
    b.xyz.com
d_share in the network path try using //b.xyz.com/d_share in the network path as mentioned here.

  • New system with Neo4 Platinum doesn't work at all!!!

    Hi guys,
    I bought my new system:
    1 - AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Core Venice
    2 - MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum /BIOS 1.1
    3 - RAM S3+ 1GB (2x512 MB)
4 - Western Digital Caviar SE 120 GB SATA WD1200JD
    5 - Hitachi Deskstar 80 GB SATA II HDS728080PLA380
    6 - NEC 3500AG DVD-RW
    7 - Albatron 6600GT 128 MB PCI-E
    8 - Enermax Noisetaker 485W
    Where is the problem?
It's IMPOSSIBLE to install the OS.
    I can't install Windows XP, I can't install Windows 2000, I can't install Windows 98.......
When I try to install Windows (no matter what version) the system tell me that it CAN'T read or write some file from the CD to the HD.
No matter what files it is, once it's the shell32.dll...... another installation it's the file ntdll.dll....... another time the file riched20.dll....... another time it's the file "whatTHEhell!" and so....
I tried to connect one only HD, I tried to connect the WD and the same. I tried to connect the HITACHI, and the same.
I tried to connect my HD to SATA 1, 2, 3, 4 on nVidia controller, and the same.
I tried with the Silicon Image controller and nothing changed.
I tried to change the optical drive, I connected my old ASUS CD 50x and disconnected the DVD Writer, but the same.
I've started to think that this could be a cable issue, then I changed the IDE Cable and the SATA cable... but nothing.
I flashed the bios from version 1.1 to 1.4 with the support to Venice core, the same.
I also disconnected my SATA HD and I've plugged in my old PATA HD, an old Samsung 6,4 GB HD............... BUT NOTHING!
I can't imagine nothing more to do to solve the problem, but I'm listening for your advices.
    Thank's.

    hi elem,
Type of floppy i meant was 1 with a usb componenent like:-
    Mitsumi FA404M 1.44 Silver FDD+Int USB2 7 in 1 Card Reader so if it's just a n ordinary floppy i'd plug it back in.
I'd try 3) Memtest86+ run it as decribed in the link to verify your memory isn't the issue.
    luck
    Yes Supershanks and blazing storm,
I misanderstood, but now I reattached my floppy and performed a full scan of my HDDs
with their own diagnostic tools, downloaded from the Western Digital and Hitachi websites.
I choosed the DOS version that make a bootable floppy disk and verified the drives.
The HDDs are working fine and there's no errors on the surface, the HDDs are ok.
Quote from: SAB on 05-June-05, 19:35:43
Try swapping the optical drive that you are loading the O.S. from. Make sure SATA controller AND SATA ports are enabled. Make sure IDE controller for floppy is also enabled. Perhaps your optical drive has one piece of dust on just the wrong place. That's all it takes to throw one of those things off!!!
SAB, I've tried to swapping my optical drives yet. I've tried a DVD-RW NEC 3500 AG, then a CD Player from ASUS, then a CD-RW from LITEON.
The same problem with the new system, but these are performing very well on my old pc, then these aren't the problem.
I think the problem could be only on CPU, or MOTHERBOARD or MEMORY.
    Thank's Supershanks, I'm downloading MemTest86+ for a memory scan.
I'll let you guys to know as fast as possibile the results!

  • Best solution for bringing new systems up to date with software updates

I have read that I can create a non-deployed software update group that contains previous months patches and use that for reporting purposes to find out which systems do not have all the updates, but that is where my understanding falls short.
For some reason I am not getting how I can update new systems with all the updates before its existence in a domain, wrapped around my brain.
Can someone help me get this through my noggin please?
    Thank you

I understand how to deploy SUGs to a dynamic collection.
    This is my dilemma:
I currently piloting SCCM 2012 and bringing new systems into SCCM 2012 every 2 weeks to a month
I have a monthly Patch Tuesday ADR configured that creates the SUG, but does not enable deployment, so I can ensure everything is in order before I enable it
I then enable the deploy and target a collection that includes all of my pilot collections that consist of computers from remote sites so I do not have to deploy a SUG to each collection\
Now this works great for me, BUT many of these systems that I bring into SCCM 2012 every 2 weeks to a month do not have the patches installed on them, so I am trying to understand how I am supposed to get all of those previous patches deployed to them.
Can you tell me if this solution would work:
Put previous month's patches in a non-deployed compliance SUG and name it something like "2014 - Compliance Reporting" and use that for reporting purposes.
Create another SUG and name it something like "2014 - Compliance Deployment". Then deploy the "2014 - Compliance Deployment" SUG to a collection containing systems that do not have the updates installed on them from the "2014
    - SUM Compliance Deployment" SUG.
    OR
Do I just simply deploy the "2014 - SUM Compliance Deployment" SUG without running any report and let the clients figure out what to install?
    OR
Do I tell the remote site admins to manually update the system by going to the Windows Update site and after that, allow SCCM to take over after the systems have all been updated that way?

  • Integrating new SAP systems into GRC 10

I already have one landscape configured into GRC AC 10 and running successfully.  As this was done by vendor, now I would like to add different landscapes exisiting in our company into GRC 10 to take the full advantage of AC 10.
I do not have the total step by step guide to do it, so i wish to know if anyone can briefly suggest the instructions on how to achicve tihs.
I remember the following steps to be done:
    1. Adding rfc connections in sm59 in both target and host systems.
    2. Adding connector and configuration settings in SPRO.
    3. Can we use the existing MSMP and BRF+ workflows for new systems?
Please suggest more steps required to configure the new systems.

    Hi there,
This can be quite involved and it is unlikely that you'll get everything that you need on this forum as it will vary considerably depending on your existing blueprint and requirements.
If you want to add multiple more landscapes, then you are correct in that you'll need to create RFCs and then perform the additional SPRO configuratiion as appropriate. However, take great care around your management of the connector groups and managing the transports around connector settings.
In answer to your workflow question, it depends whether you have workflow which is dependent on the system or connector. If connector is not important in the workflow derevation, then it should work fine for additional systems. If there is an element which is dependent on the system, then you'll have to augment the rules to identify the new ones in the configuration.
I would look at the scope of work and work out what you actually want to do then make a decision about whether you need to engage some additional assistance (either from your previous supplier or a new supplier) or whether you wish to upskill your own people to support it. I would have thought that some administrator training would have been provided though by your existing supplier?

  • Split one PI System into two new PI systems

    Hello,
I support one PI System from our company.
My company would be splitted into 2 new companies.
My Question about the PI system:
    Alternative 1:
I will be crate 2 new PI Systems (one for company 1 and one for company 2)
    - I will be move the content from IR and ID to the new Systems (File Level Transport or CMS).
    - Is it possible, to move the messages and the payload of the processed messages (from the past) with the archive function ??
    Alternative 2:
I use the existing PI system and dont create 2 new PI systems.
    - could I measure the PI traffic for the new company one and the new company two  separately ?? (I will be use differnt message interface names for any company)
Whats the better way (alternative 1 or alternative 2) ?
    Thank you in advance
    Uwe

    Hi,
We can create two PI systems for new companies but configure SLD centrally so that we can work/configure SLD objects easily for three systems. meanwhile configure IR/ID objects separately for each system for data flow variation. Meanwhile IR/ID objects we can import/export easily with IR/ID windows import/export option.
