Intercompany Costs posting in selling plant & Payments to supplying plant

Hi,
I have an issue with posting costs and vendor payments (to supplying plant) from selling sales organization.
Supplying company code has generated an intercompany billing document (billing type: IV) with the selling sales org.  We have single controlling area for both the selling & supplying company codes & sales organizations.  Actually this is a make to order variant config scenario on the supplying plant side. So the production order is having a settlement rule with SDI as category.  So costs are posted in the supplying company code correctly.
Now the issue is how will the costs posted in the selling company code and how will the selling company code know what amount to pay the supplying plant?  Will there be any document refernce (like PO) for the selling company code to pay the supplying company code?
Thanks,
Surya.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the reply.
Actually both the ordering company code and the supplying company code are in a single instance.  Already the ordering company code has raised a intercompany sales order with which the supplying company code will run MRP and manufactuer.
So again if the ordering company code raises a PO on supplying company code.  From your suggestion, I understood that we can do a two way match without any GR to make the vendor payments.  Will this be an open PO at ordering company and how will the MRP effect on the supplying company code side?
Thanks,
Surya.

  • Donot want Planned Order to be created for STO in supplying Plant

    Hi Gurus,
We have material A which in being produced in Plant 1000. This Material A is being used as a Component for a product in plant 2000. By Using Stock Transport order we get the material from supplying plant 1000.
when we run MRP for the plant 2000, schedule line is generated for the plant 2000. at the same time planned order is generated for the Material A in plant 1000.
My requirement is i dont want planned order to be created in supplying plant i.e plant 1000.
    Afzal

    Hi,
Let me Clarify my requirement again.
Material A is being Produced in plant 1000(supply). The same Material A is being used as Input material in plant 2000(Demand) for product B.
    <b>Master Maintained.</b>
    <b>Material Master</b>
I maintained Procurement type as F and Special Procurement as 40 in Plant 2000 for Material A.
I maintained Procurement type as E for Material A in Plant 1000.
    <b>Schedule Agreement</b>
Schedule Agreement created in Plant 2000 referring plant 1000 as supplying plant and agreement type as LU.
    <b>Source List</b>
Source List Created based on the schedule agreement and maintained MRP indicator as 2.
    <b>MRP Run</b>
During MRP run for Product B in plant 2000, It creates schedule line for the Material A in plant 2000. At the same time it creates planned Order for material A in the supplying plant 1000.
My Requirement is we don't want the planned order in supplying plant 1000. The reason behind is that we want to run MRP in plant 1000 seperately at a different frequency.
Running MRP in plant 2000 should limit the requirements raising in plant 2000 only and the MRP run for 1000 should limit to plant 1000 only.

  • ME27-enter supplying plant.

    Hi,
    1)  I am creating stock transport order through ME27.On the first field supplying plant I have entered valid supplying plant appearing through help (f4).After entering supplying plant, document type,po date and purchasing org.I am getting error "Please enter supplying plant-Message no. 06098".
What could be reason for this error.
    2) We enter supplying plant in me27.I was viewing some old orders where i can see vendor number for corresponding plant in ME23 .My query is how this vendor number is picked up from supplying plant.
    3) I have checked some of the inter company stock transfer order .In these orders item category U is not mentioned. Is it not mandatory to have item category U in all stock transport order.
    Thanks & regards

    hi,
Check whether you have defined shipping data for plant under SPRO- MM-Purchasing-PO-set up stock transport order.
and  check the delivery type NL for UB & NLCC for NB is assigned and also check the proper checking rule is assigned for both.
If you are  doing stock transfer with delivery & without billing then,
    1. create customer for recieving plant and link the customer no. in define shipping data for plant.
    2.  check the delivery type NL  assigned for UB document type.
    3. While creating PO use doc. type UB.
If you are  doing stock transfer with delivery & with billing then,
    1. create customer for recieving plant and link the customer no. in define shipping data for plant.
    2. Create vendor for supplying plant and assign supplying plant in vendor master under additional data.
    2.  check the delivery type NLCC  assigned for NB document type.
    3. While creating PO use doc. type NB.

    Hi,
this is one of the problems caused by an organisation structure that is not quite matching the "real world".
In SAP each Plant should have a unique address and the storage locations are thought of as areas within that address.
If you have two sites that have different addresses, they should <u>ideally</u> be separate plants. You can then use all of the available functionality within SAP that you would expect.
If you want to set up a route that goes from one address to another than this is possible, but in your case you are actually saying that you want a route for s delivery from and too the same address, not really a real world scenario.
So if you really want to do this then each site should be a plant. I expect that it is too late to change your design but it is important for others reading this to understand the problems that are caused when Storage locations are used instead of Plants for physically separate addresses.
Sorry if this is not much help to you but it should help you to understand why you are having a problem.

  • System should accept particular supplying plant only in STO

    Hi Experts ,
There are 2 STO types used by one of our client . One is used to transfer from factory to depot .Another is for STO from depot to depot. Here , when users select Factory to depot STO types , system should not accept any other plant except Factory (Plant) as a supplying plant..  Please let me know if any possible ways to  achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.
    With regards
    S.Siva

    Hi,
here you are telling that you are going to use  2 sto types for factory to depo and depo to depo. menas are going to use two document types Z configured ?
I think it is normal scenario , at spro--purchasing POSTO, you are going to assign the sypplying plant with the receiving plant.
I think this will be suffie

  • Calculation and posting of discount on Payment and on net amount

    Hello,
My client would like to configure posting of discount on payment. The discount should be calculated on the net amount and should also adjust the VAT input tax amount.  Example:
PO: 100 EUR, VAT 10 EUR, Gross amt = 110 EUR, Invoice recieved: 110 (-110 on vendor,100 is posted on GR/IR and 10 on input tax). When payment is done, discount amounts to 2.2 EUR ( 110 is posted on vendor account, -107.8 on bank account, -2 on discount account, -0.2 in input tax).
Have anyone of you ever did this on SAP. Can you pleas explain me the steps if yes? Thank you for your help.

    Hi,
I have already did a test with base discount on net amount and base vat on net amount check. When those are check, during good receipt the purchase account is debit with the net amount (gross -discount) and during invoice  the difference is then transferred to the purchase account. The tax is calculated on the net amount. This is not what we are looking for. For us we want to know if it is possible that during good receipt and invoice received everything is calculated without taking into consideration the discount received. It is only when we are doing the payment of the invoice that discount is calculated and the VAT amount is adjusted for with the discount received. Thank you for your help.

  • Costs posted through FB01 to General Cost Element in TECO Status

A general cost element whose system status was changed to TECO on 10/16/2009 has had costs posted from our Travel System in PR1 and also tested posting from FB01 to the same general cost element in a test client sucessfully.  Costs were posted on 12/5/2009  (PR1) and 12/10/2009 (test system).  This seems inconsistent with the logic that PS typically follows, that TECO does not allow cost postings.  The environment is ECC6 with Enhancement pack 4.
Edited by: Rebecca Poling on Jan 11, 2010 11:11 PM

Only system status CLSD (Closed) and account assignment locked don't allow actual post against WBS
Here's the explanation on TECO status from SAP Help
You use this status for WBS elements that are completed from a technical point of view, but where you still expect costs to accrue.

  • Actual Cost Posting Into Project

    Hi,
I need clarification about actual cost flow into Projects in a typical customer project scenario. The business process is as follows. Projects include engineering, procurement & manufacturing of equirpments. ROH items are procured from external vendors & issued to HALB / FERT for in-house manufacturing. Purchase orders are being created w.r.t. WBSElements & same for production orders also. Please suggest me what will be flow of actual cost posting into WBSElement in this process. Is there any configuration required for this.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Jimmy

<b>ROH items are procured from external vendors & issued to HALB / FERT for in-house manufacturing</b>
You have to use the MM Purchase order functionality, make GR to inventory and issue to the production orders.
<b>Purchase orders are being created w.r.t. WBSElements & same for production orders also.</b>
Ideally you may be better off in recieving, <b>storing</b> and issuing to WBS or production orders
<b>Please suggest me what will be flow of actual cost posting into WBSElement in this process.</b>
You can create WBS for capturing all engineering costs. Procure materials and debit WBs for actual consumption. Create production orders for manufacturing equipments and settle them to the WBS elements.
Is there any configuration required for this.
In order to settle the production orders to WBS, the settlement profile assigned to the order type shall permit WBS elements,

  • Disposal cost cost post directly to materials NOT cost centers.

    Dear experts,
Currently we are posting the disposal cost to the cost center as a cost object.
Later the disposal cost posted in cost center will be allocated to material through cost center assessment (KSU5) and material level assessment (CON2).
However, our client said that they want the disposal cost to be directly posted to the material which is scrapped instead of sharing the cost among the relevant cost centers.
Is there any good standard SAP solution?
*I don't want to develop any add-on programs.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jiro
If the material being disposed is a saleable material -> Post it directly to COPA at material level
    For this,
    - you need to default the Cost element in OKB9 to "Prof Segment"..
    - Map the cost element to PA Transfer Structure FI in KEI2
If the material being disposed is not a saleable material, then what you are doing makes sense...
You can also follow the above process for Saleable material in this case for non-saleable material, if you wish

  • Costing run for the material in Physical distribution Plant

    Hi experts,
There's a material both creates in productoin plant 1000 & physical distribution plant 1999. (same material number)
However, BOM & routing only create in prodution plant 1000.
How do we copy BOM & routing (in prodution plant) for the material creates in Physical distribution Plant and excute costing run for it? (we need to excute costing run every month, so standard cost for the material in productoin plant 1000 & physical distribution plant 1999 needs to be the same every month.)
    Thanks in advance.

    HI AO
    1. There is no standard feature to copy the BOM/Routing from Plant 1 to 2...
While creating in PLant 2, you can give the reference of Plant 1.. Or you can use some BAPIs to do the same
    2. If you want same std cost in Plant 2 as in Plant 1, then easier way would be to create a Special Procurement Key and assign the same in Material master - Costing View of Plant 2 (1999)
    Follow the steps below
    1. Go to OMD9
    2. Click on New entries: Enter your Plant = Plant 2 (receiver plant) "SP Pr Type" = Z1 and Proc Type = F;
    3. Under Special Procurement Secrion
Enter U as special procurement and Plant 1 in the Plant Field (Transferring plant)
    4. Save this entry, and in Mat Master of Plant 2, specify Z1 as Special proc key in Costing view (NOT MRP VIEW)
    5. Run CK11N in Plant 2... and release from CK24

  • Costing Variant not visible in CK24 for my plant.

    Hello Experts,
Using transaction OKKN, I have created a new costing variant ZPC1 to take the place of PPC1 for updating standard cost in the material master.  I basically copied most of the parameters ( including the Costing Type) from PPC1 but changed to a different Valuation Variant.  Running CK11n successfully generates a cost estimate without error (status KA) that meets our requirements.
The trouble is in transaction CK24.  I click the Marking allowance icon and I see both our actual plant, and the dummy preconfigured plant 0010.  For our actual plant, I also see the fields populated for Costing version 1 and Released check mark.  If I drill down on our plant, I get a pop-up for "Permitted std cost est variants", showing only PPC1.  However, if I drill down on the dummy plant 0010, I first get a search pop-up for "Permitted std cost est variants"  with an open field for "Costing Variant".  Drilling down further shows both PPC1 and ZPC1.
I think maybe a "Costing Version" has been defined for our actual plant, and that is pre-selecting PPC1 and preventing me from using ZPC1, but when I search in config (transaction OKYD), I see nothing defined.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My problem has been solved.  There was actually nothing wrong with the configuration.
The problem was that the Marking Allowance had already been activated for costing variant PPC1 in period 11/2009.  This was visible from the marking allowance screen by the population of the fields Costing Version 01 and the check mark in the field Releaded.
Now that we have moved on to period 12/2009, the Costing Version is blank and I see both Costing Variants available.  When I select a variant to allow marking, the Costing Version gets populated.  After running CK11N again to create a cost estimate for period 12, I was then able to Mark and Release my new estimate and verify that the new Standard Price updated in the Material Master.
Thanks for your help, and I hope this record may be of value to others.

  • How the information goes to the supplying plant in Inter com Billing

    Hi friends,
I know the configuration of Inter company billing process in a standard system(IDES).
Also I know we have to change the delivering plant in VA01 and shipping point in VL01n and twice we hav to do the VF01 to get the customer invoice & Intercompany invoice in IDES system.
    But
1st Q.  In real life scenario
How the information goes( i mean the media, out put determination) from the receiving company code(Sales Org) To the supplying company code(plant)
that the delivery should happen from the plant belongs to a different company code.
I mean is there any special output determination process happens for inter company billing process?
    2nd Q.
How the Internal Inter company  invoice goes from the supplying plant belongs to different comp code to the sales org of different company code.
    3rd.Q
As an end user of a receiving company code what should be the step by step process  &
As an end user of a delivering company code what should be the step by step process ?
I expect the answer should be question specific. Correct answer will be rewarded. No unnecessary answer pls. Thanks with regards
