Internal orders to track rev and cost

Hi
How to track revenue and cost, related to utilization of land using internal order and offset revenue against cost..
Pls advice? What we can use on this statistical internal order on real internal order ????
Pls advice in details ... Thank you in advance

HI,
If at all you want to use Internal order for this purpose, you have to create a real internal order only for settlement purpose.  Statistical IO can not be settled.
Try once.

  • Internal Order process config details and process flow

    Hi All,
    Please help me,
I need process flow and configuration for assets to buy from vendors and store it and sell to our stores.
how to config Internal order configuration step by step and post to Asset management. (Instead of normal sales for revenue account).
    Thanks and regards

    Dear Ravi,
    1. first create an internal order through KO01. That internal order type should be for investment purpose.
    2. Give the relevant detials and go to investment tab and give investment profile.
3 Then in toolbar go to extras and select "asset under construction". An asset under construction would be created and give the details of this asset.
    4. Then release the internal order in KO02.
    5. Then go to GB60 and post a invoice with this internal order as account assignment object.
    6. GO to KO02 and in extras see the order balance. that amount would be reflected in the order.
    7. now go to KO88 and execute the internal order through which your internal order will be credited and AUC which you created would be debited.
    8. Now go to KO02 and see the order balance it would show 0 as it is moved to AUC.
    9. Now to go to settement rule and give the asset to which u want to transfer this amount and take the category as FXA and give the detials.
    9. now go to KO02 and change the status of internal order to "TECO complete".
10 Now go to KO88 and execute the order and now the AUC is credited and your asset is debited.
This is the exhaustive steps which i think wil solve your purpose.
But make sure the configuration about the order type and investment profile are properly maintained.
    Thanks

  • Internal Order to track revenues

    Hi All,
Wanted to know what setting we make in Internal Order Type so that it can be used for tracking revenues instead of costs.
If we don't set this in Internal Orrder Type , then how can we acheive this?
When I look at 'Control Tab' at Internal Order Master and try to check 'Revenue Postings' options system is not allowing me to do so .
    Please suggest

Edit the order type in t.code KOT2_OPA and enable "Revenue Postings" under Control Indicators.

  • Internal order config for R&D Costs

    Hi Good Morning,
I have scenario, my bzness want to capture their R&D costs using the IOrder to a particular cost center, this will be going to happen more than an year and they will settle.
What are the config steps i should follow, is this belongs to a real order or statically order.
Your valuable inputs are appreciated and awarded with full points.
    Thanks

    Hi,
We have used internal orders for the specific same purpose.  You have already received a response for that.  However, we are now transitioning to Project systems.  We believe that this will bring in more control and easier reporting.
As of now we have to create Internal order groups or cost center groups to report for specific departments.  We spent a lot of time updating the groups and setllement rules etc etc.  With PS, the reporting will become easier as WBS elements are created inside the project and as such will form an automatic tree for reporting.  There are additional functionalities in PS in terms of progress analysis and networks.  You can also use the concept of milestones to track important events etc.  All in all you can easily map complex project scenarios.
Before you finalise internal orders, would suggest you havel a look at PS.
You can read in detail on Project systems, by following the link below.

  • Internal order settlment to GL (primary cost)

    Hi Friends,
I got and issue like that client wants to settle internal order (primary cost) to GL only, but do not wants to settle secondary cost to GL.
I maintain allocation structure for that where i include all the range of all primary and secondary element; and defined settlement rule in order master record for G/L. When i tried to settle it, it is also picking secondary cost element type-43 and settling to GL.
client wants to settle only primary cost to particular GL. I tried to restrict it by reducing range from source, but than while settlment system is not alllowing.
please let me know is there any restriction can be applied to settle secondary cost.
    Thanks
    Subodh

    hi..
I think you can try the following changes in your allocation structure to solve your problem :
    01.     Goto OKOA > set "can be settled Indicator "> donu2019t tick 100% validation.
    02.     Create Source structure (Exam:S1)with relevant and Not relevant assignments
And assign cost elements you want to settled to relevant and which you do not want to settle
assign to nonrelevant (you can define CE group also)
03      Goto OKOA > Set the Source structure (S1) into the field.
04        Goto order settlement rules set the source assignment u201Crelevantu201D  and set settlement type u201CPERu201D.
Only cost element group you assigned as relevant will settled and other part will remain in the order. Subsequently you can repost the other part to other object as per your requirements.

  • Internal Order: Change Co Code and Controlling Area

    Hi,
We have setup internal order -> <i><b>customised</b></i> order type, to store data regarding our projects. The setup involves choosing a Controlling Area which will inherit the Company Code (1:1 mapping between controlling area & co code) once we Create the Order (transaction KO01).
The field Company Code is greyed out and not maintainable.
There is no posting involved. Just for storing data related to the projects (cost centre is defined though).
A problem occurs when our client asked to change the company code field from A to B. I used transaction KO02 and tried to change it from "Environment" -> "Set CO area" but the change is not reflected later once I go into the Master Data screen.
Since the Company Code field is already greyed out in the Master Data screen, I also can't make changes there.
I tried changing the Screen layout (i.e. Order layout) of the field selection in IMG, but also not working.
Does anyone has any other ideas? Many thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Nik

Since, you have one to one relationship between company code and controlling area, you will not be able to change the company code in order master.
If there are multiple company codes attached to same controlling area, then you need not enter company code in the order master. For this you will need to make company code as optional field in the field status for order type. This will facilitate posting from multiple company codes (attached to same controlling area) to the same order.
If company code is entered and some postings takes place then system will not allow you to change the data.

  • Report Internal Order needed - showing Plan and Budget Values?

    Hello,
I want to create a report (Report Writer/Painter) which shows for example in one column the planned values and in another column the budget value of an order group.
I know the standard reports S_ALR_87012993 - Orders: Actual/Plan/Variance and the other standard report S_ALR_87013019 - List: Budget/Actual/Commitments.
My question: Is it possible at all to have these both values plan and budget by order/order group in one report? - Or it is not possbile because these values are stored in different tables and different libraries?
If it is possible with Report Writer, I would be very glad - if not, is there any other chance (e.g. individual programmed report)?
For any comments or hints thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    VCG

    HI,
both are report painter reports for libraries 6O1 and 6O2 which are based on reporting tables CCSS and RWCOOM.
Try to find all value fields that you need in 6O2 / RWCOOM as this is the "big brother" of 6O1/ CCSS.
    Best regards, Christian

  • Internal Order Report  S_ALR_87012993 showing settled cost

    HI ,
The issue here is related to IO report  S_ALR_87012993 showing up settled cost against a particular Cost Element/GL account. However when we use the drill down function it says "No actual Line Item exist". I have checked the line item details for that particular GL account which does not have any posting to it with the said IO and moreover no FI Posting is done to that GL account during that relevant period. Hence the IO report is showing up variance .
I have checked the Settlement documents for  that period for the said IO (Table AUAK ) through Transaction Code KOB8 , but none of these settlement indicates that particular Cost element/GL Account.
I have executed KOB1 which does not show up any line item with the said combination.
Any idea why the system /report showing up such settlement to that particular Cost Element/GL account which does not have any Actual Line Item posted with that particular IO.
    Regards
    Jaydip

This is very very strange. Are you sure is not facing some profile problems to view information ?
KOB1 and S_ALR_87012993 have the same information: actual.
When you run settlement, it goes to inventory delivery account or to wip account depends on order status.
Sometimes people set a different account for settlement.
Check the balance account in transaction FS10N/FBL3N it must be the same because FI and CO are balanced for this account.

  • Tracking Inventory and Costs

    Hi
One of my client who has a full Oracle E-Biz suite in cluding finacials, PO, Inventory, manufacturing and projects is seeking advise on the following issues. In essence the client want's to perform some window dressing which should be out of their books. However, they need to monitor inventory and track costs of the same.
CFM & Repair Assts requirements: (CFM is an American confirmity for manufacturing companies)
The client needs the cost of CFM and RA to be in the system to:
    Operate cycle counting. (Material)
Have cost feasibility. Project & Finance)
Evaluate their liability to the customer (Projects)
Evaluate inventory for insurance purpose (Contracts)
Meet special contracts requirement like not to exceed limit.(Projects)
The client don’t want the cost of CFM and RA to be part of their inventory value since it's not their materials.(Finance)
The client don’t want the CFM and RA to affect the material unit average cost.(Finance)
appreciate any suggestions. pls mail to "[email protected]"
    Regards,
    Rajani

    Hello John,
Probably your honest declaration of I am preparing for a demo this week scare everyone off.
You know, it is not that easy to solve this problem unless you have complete knowledge of all UoM in item master.
My suggestion will be: instead of getting other's option, try to change Purchasing UoM, Item per Purchasing Unit, Packaging  UoM, Quantity per Packaging UoM in your master to understand how per pound can be set up correctly in your case.  If you know exactly how these works, all concept will apply to sales UoM too.
    Thanks,

  • Usage of Cost Centers, Profit Centers and Internal Orders

    Hello everyone,
i have perhaps for some of you a simple question but it bothers me alot.
Imagine we are using Cost centers and Internal Orders. For them we create statistical key figures using transaction KB31N.
Now we are installing SAP BI and want to create a report which would be generated acording to cost centers but with statistical key figures.
The question would be how to make a connection between cost centers orders and those stat.key.figs?
In our case the economists say that we are using this kind of scenario:
    Dist.chanel ->
    Sender: Cost center, Cost element
    Receiver: Int.Order
    and Stat key fig.
This is the only place where we have a connection between thos objects. Is there other way how to connect them. perhaps using profit centers?
If somebody didnt understand it, maybe ill try to explain it a bit better
    Reagards
    Laurynas Prikockis

    Hi Laurynas,
Pls try to understand the concept as explained hereunder...
    Cost Element:
Primary Cost Element : Replication of GL to bring costs into CO module when they are posted in FI
                                       module
Secondary Cost Elements: Carriers of costs between two Cost Objects (when we want to transfer the
cost from Cost Centers to Internal Orders, vice versa and more, we create
Secondary Cost Elements to carry the costs and transfer them to the
                                            reciever objects from sender objects)
Cost Center: It is a Cost Object, maintained on long-term basis, where we can capture the costs (Ex:
                        Marketing Cost Center)
Internal Order: It is also a Cost Object, maintained on shor-term basis, where we can capture the costs
(Ex: Internal Order for Special Marketing Campaign). Ultimately, whatever the costs
posted to this Internal Order, will get settled to Marketing Cost Center.
Staitistical Key Figure: It is used as a basis for allocation of certain expenses (Simple example would
be, Total rent paid for office is $100000 per month. This cost has to go to
different Cost Centers like Finance and Accounts, Marketing, Purchase Dept
etc on the basis of "Area Occupied". So, We will define "Area Occupied" as a
Statistical Key Figure in our system.
Now, when the Rent amount is posted in FI, it wil reach a Virtual Cost Center
(An "Allocation Cost Center" with name "Rent" to be created under your
Controlling Area) "Rent". From there, it has to reach the other Cost Centers (lie
F&A etc as explained above) on the basis of Area Occupied (SKF Created
                                     for "area occupied")
For this, you need enter the Area Occupied values (Ex:Sq Ft) in KB31N and you need to create an Allocation Cycle (Distribution / Assessment) where in you will select "Area Occupied" (SKF) as your Receiver Tracing Factor.
I hope I am clear, don't hesitate to revert back for more explanation...

  • Production Order and Internal Order for each item of the sales order

    Hi
I am developing Make To Order Report where I have to display the MTO Line Items and non MTO Line Items. For non MTO Line Items I have to display Internal order with Planned and Actual Costs and also Production Order with Planned and Actual Costs. Could anybody tell how to get the Internal order no and production order with Planned and Actual costs for each line item for a sales order.
    Thanks
    Naga

    Hi,
You can get the Production orders, Planned orders, Internal orders generated for Sales order item from AFPO table (use fields KDAUF-Sales order number & KDPOS-Sales order item). Then to identify the order type use order category (AUTYP) from table AUFK.
Once you have the Production/internal order, you can ge the cost from COSS and COSP table. Use the object number from AUFK to get the cost entries from COSS & COSP.
You can use the following sample code as reference.
Hope this is helps.. (Don't forget to mark it... )

  • Internal Order Report - For the documnets when the cost ele. was not create

    Hi,
We created internal orders for tracking capital expenditure relating to assets. At that time, we were not created asset GL's as cost element. Recently we created asset GL's as cost elements (category 90).
Now we are getting the internal order report after creation of cost element for the transactions done thereafter. We mentioned the internal order number in PO but not in accounting document earlier. Now we are maintaining internal order number in accounting document also.
So when we run OKBA we are getting CO document but, it is not tracking against internal order (since order number was not mentioned earlier). We executed one MM document in which internal order was mentioned through OKBB but there is no change in the internal order report.
Is there any possibility to get the internal order report for the transactions done before creation of cost element.
    Please guide me
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for your quick replies.
Can we get the report as follows.
    1. Total Po's value for the internal Order (through Table EKKN)                                                      xxx
Less: Value already posted to Internal order after creation of cost elements (S_alr_87013019)  xxx
Less: Total Value to be invoiced (Tcode -ME2N)                                                                             xxx
Net amount to be posted to Internal Order manually                                                                        xxx
    Is it correct?

  • *Internal Order* or *Cost Center* on SD Sales Order

    Hi Gurus,
please can you tell me how we can set automatically Internal Order or Cost Center on SD Sales Order (without putting it manually).
    Thank you very much
    Kind Regards
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,
As Ambrusa told, one Z table should be created where you can maintain order reasons, sales org, sales order type and the internal order no. as combination and use the below mentioned user exit.
When user create sales order, system will default the order reasons maintained in the z table and internal order no. will be picked as user select the order reason.
Hope this will meet your requirement.
    Regards
    Suresh.
