IPad 3 & iMessage

For some reason I cannot log in to iMessage with my iPad 3 (iPad New?). Even if I log in with my Apple ID, whenever I enter my email address it tells me it has sent me a confirmation email (eventhough it's the same email as in my iPhone's iMessage) but I never get it.
Any ideas?

Is this an ipad, iphone, or what, you do not say.? I have iMessage on ipad2. I compose a message, address it, and send it, the slide bar at the top zips up to show delivered (its grey coloured) and then a 'delivered' note appears next to the message text box in the main window.,, or a red enclosed exclamation mark if it cannot be sent. Can you do a screen shot, hold home button in and then press the on/off button to do a screen capture- the result will be in photo roll. Can you attach the screenshot of before you close out your App - and then one again with the green bar you mention.

How come i keep getting a network error when trying to register my ipad for imessage?

I am trying to register my new ipad to imessage, when i click on message it says to enter my apple id to autherize this ipad, so i do.... then it sits there for about 30-45 seconds and comes back with a pop up apple error saying "imessage activation - could not sing in. pealse cheack your network connection and try again" and i am on Wifi and everything else works (with the exception of facetime which gives me the same error). I live in IL, USA

What you need to do is go into settings
Then go to wifi
Tap the blue arrow to the wifi you are connected to
Tap forget network
Retap the wifi you want
Reinsert your wifi code if you have one

Phone number missing on iPad or iPod touch
If your phone number isn't listed on an iPod touch or iPad, follow these steps:
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you're using the same Apple ID that you're using on your iPhone.
On your iPad or iPod touch, sign out of your Apple ID in the following locations:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Sign in to your Apple ID with FaceTime and iMessage.
If your phone number still isn't listed, follow these steps:
Sign out of your Apple ID on all iOS devices, including your iPhone, in the following locations:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Sign in to your Apple ID on your iPhone.
When activation is complete, your Apple ID and all verified email addresses should be visible in Settings > Messages > Receive At and Settings > FaceTime.
Sign in to your Apple ID on your other iOS devices.

But this is not the first problem of apple. Today I bought an album with the booklet 15 f...... Euros. Music is there but digital booklet isn't! On iTunes before I bought, was an information booklet only with full album... That's a lie!!!!!

Yes. On your phone make sure it is set to send messages from your phone number, not your apple id or other email address. That way when they reply it will go to your phone.

A "non-iMessage-enabled text) would be an SMS message. iPads do not handle these and they do not go through an Apple server to be "converted". SMS is a function of a cellular carrier, not Apple.

You will only receive messages from other users using an Apple product with iMessage. The cell phone carriers service from your cell network and other messging sources have no way of making it to your iPad. iMessage is stricky for Apple.

IMessages go through to a specific contact using an iPod while signed into a different iMessage account on an iPad, but iMessages do not go through using my main iMessage account or iPhone number. Have I been blocked?

I have a friend who uses an iPod to iMessage me and about two nights ago, my messages to him from my iPhone were no longer listed as delivered and then I started getting the message "Contact is unavailable. This person cannot be reached by iMessage at this time." I have my main iMessage email and phone number linked to my iPhone. I decided to try messaging him from an iPad that only has my iMessage email linked to it, and the iPad gave me a message saying his email is not linked to an iMessage account. After that, I tried ANOTHER iPad. This one runs iOS 5 and has a separate iMessage email linked to it and the messages were not listed as delivered, but they did not give me a failure message. I unlinked my main iMessage email from my phone and linked the secondary iMessage email to it. I still got the first message about the contact being unavailable when I attempted to send a message from my iPhone. Then, I messaged him again from the iPad running iOS 5, and the message I sent showed up on my iPhone and was listed as delivered. Is it possible this friend has blocked me? He has not messaged me for two days. I was under the impression a block would simply result in my messages being listed as delivered, not that the contact would be unavailable or that his email is not linked to an iMessage account. Is there any way to force my iPhone to send messages to him using only my iMessage email and not cell phone number? Is this actually a fluke and he has deleted his iMessage account, but the iPad running iOS 5 did not recognize that? But why would my iphone list the messages as delivered then?

After much research went with Comcast. Package includes 12mbs, phone service, all premium channels, 2 HD dvrs, 1 HD receiver. After promos end I will be paying more, but I'm getting more. Customer service before purchase and installation phenomenal. I actually set up order over phone instead of online because of the customer service. No complaints about Direct TV, but canceeling them also because from having to shop for new Isp resulted in this. My speedtest now says I am 85% faster than most of the U.S. I am very happy. I would consider my verizon problem solved. Oh, free router also.

Try resetting your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Ipad Mini imessage not sending messages over wifi

I've my ipad mini for a couple of days now and I've consistently run into imessage problems.
I can surf the web, use apps that require Internet (ie. Facebook, Pinterest, mail, etc.) but it seems like imessage refuse to work.
My imessage is working and syncing just fine between my iPhone and MacBook Pro .
I've tried restarting my router, restoring my ipad mini to factory settings, soft and hard reset, and just about everything I can think of but nothing seems to be working. Maybe I have a defected ipad? Is anyone else having these issue?

Try the following.
Turn off Messages, sign out of your Apple ID on the iPad, restart your iPad, go back to Messages, turn it back on and then sign in again in Messages and in the store settings.
Settings>Messages>Off. Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart your iPad and then go back to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Sign in. Then go to Settings>Messages>On. Then sign in and see if it will activate.
Here's what Apple suggests when running into problems:
Troubleshooting Apple ID activation
After each step, toggle iMessage and FaceTime off and then on again in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection. Check your Wi-Fi network using standard Wi-Fi network troubleshooting.
If you receive an error when signing in to your Apple ID, visit myinfo.apple.com, sign in to your account, and ensure that the primary email address has been verified.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
In Settings > General > Date & Time, ensure that Set Automatically is on. If Set Automatically is on, but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to another Wi-Fi network in a different location.
If "Waiting for Activation" is displayed, leave FaceTime and iMessage enabled for 24 hours. Toggling FaceTime or iMessage off and on will cause the registration process to start over.

Oh, so you don't want your phone number linked to your iMessage on your iPad. The way to fix it, is to sign out of iMessage and Facetime on both devices. You then need to sign into the iPhone iMessage first, then the iPad. The only way I can see to fix it with your iPad in a different state would be to wipe it in iCloud.

When I am calling from my FaceTime through my iPad it's showing that the person u r calling is not available on FaceTime , and similarly I am doing message from my iMessage from my iPad then also my message are not getting delivered to that person.
