So I follow to download the latest version. Suddenly my Ipad black out and left only an Apple logo in the center of the screen. I tried to reset and restart it but it still remains. It's been last night till now doesn't respones at all. Any expert can kindly help me on this issue?

In order to resolve the issue if it occurs again, more info would be helpful as to what occurred prior to the "hang." One potential fix would be to try a Safe Boot:
After the Mac is completely shut down, push the power button and immediately after the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
There should be a message that says "SafeBoot." After the Mac is completely booted, try restarting and see if the issue is gone.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • Failed Archive and Install.  Unable to restart from CD.

I could use some help solving a tricky problem. Please redirect me if I am posting this to the wrong forum.
My MacBook was having difficulty staying asleep. If I select sleep or close the lid, within a few seconds it makes a sound like it is testing the disk drive and wakes up. Oddly doesn't seem to happen as quickly if it just falls asleep from prolonged inactivity. This was causing severe battery drain so, unable to solve the issue on my own, I made an appointment with my local Genius at the Apple Store.
He told me I needed to do an Archive and Install, which he proceeded to try and do, but couldn't get the drive to accept the new OS. He therefore diagnosed me with a dying hard drive and told me I needed a new one. I groaned a bit since they seem to tell me this every 2 years or so, so they kindly offered to do this one for free.
I took the new machine home today and used Time Machine to restore my old settings/software. Unfortunately the problem was still there. However, this got me thinking. I have two backup clone drives with SuperDuper. One is current and regularly. The other I made 2 years ago shortly after we last replaced the hard drive and never touched. (Paranoid, I know.) When I boot from the current clone, the problem recurs but, if I boot from the earlier clone, the problem is no longer there. Clearly, I think, a software issue.
Happy, at least, that I did not pay for the new hard drive, I thought I might Archive and Install from my original 10.2 disks. Unfortunately I cannot get the system to boot from them.
I held down "C" on start up, but it still started from the HD. I clicked on the "Install" icon from the CD, but the restart again used the HD. I tried to select the CD as a Startup Drive in the System Preferences panel but the CD doesn't show up as an option.
I would be grateful for any ideas. Sorry about the length. Thanks.

It looks like your MacBook is one of these models, and that it shipped with Tiger:

    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/stats/macbook-core-2-duo-2.0-white -13-specs.html
The comment there about RAM is
1 GB of RAM is installed as two 512 MB modules, no slots free.
*Apple officially supports 2 GB of RAM, but third-parties have been "unofficially" able to upgrade it to 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM (it can hold 4 GB but cannot fully utilize the memory beyond 3 GB).
You will not want to run Tiger even if you find the original discs, so I would get Snow Leopard in any event. The original install discs do contain a machine-specific version of Apple Hardware Test which is not available elsewhere, and for this reason it is nice to have them around. Apple will usually send you a replacement set for a nominal charge if you call them with your serial number - you can decide if doing this is worth it, depending on the cost.
I do think it is worthwhile upgrading your RAM to 2GB, though your actual need will depend upon how you use your computer. If you don't do much multitasking or manipulation of of large media files you might be able to get by with your current 1 GB. Since your current Leopard system seems to meet your needs with 1GB of RAM, I guess you first could try running Snow Leopard this way also, and then add RAM if you find you need it. If you want to do it now, I think that a matched pair of 1GB modules would cost about $50.

    Hi
If you up the logging level to Information or Debug you should see something like this in the Mail.log: "NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from . . . . 450 . . . . Recipient address rejected: Service is unavailable:"
Greylisting is enabled by default as soon as you start the Mail Service. Any legitimate mail server will try and send again to your domain. Spammers will give up and move onto an easier target.

  • After loading the latest update which as I remember as ISP 5.01 etc, after the download my I Pad went dark and I am unable to restart it..... Any thoughts, I suspect it was a virus.

This is my first time as a user....when I downloaded the latest up grade last night, my I Pad showed the apple logo then went dark and won't come on. Any thoughts, I suspect it may have been a virus.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

  • Login - Macbook Hangs and I have to force restart.

    Hey,
Recently I've come into a problem. When I turn on my Macbook and login, the finder and spotlight are the only things that open - if I try to open any apps, no progress is made - and I get a rainbow-cartwheel logo. I then have to force the computer to shut down and then reboot the machine, when I log in everything is fine, except my 'graphite' setting is now turned to the default 'blue' setting, in appearances.
I have no idea how this problem has occurred, I wish to solve it. Can anyone shed any light? I don't think it's a good idea to be forcibly turning my Macbook off EVERY day.
    Thanks!
    Jeremy

Reinstall OS - works a treat now.

  • My MacBook Pro stated that it needed to be updated. I clicked yes to restart the computer and update but when it restarted it stays on the gray screen with the apple logo and then pops up, stating "unable to find driver for this platform." What do I do?

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the Mac OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac didn’t ship with Lion, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
Don't install the Thunderbolt update -- it's defective.

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • My ipad 2 turnes to black screen with the apple icon in the middle, it just hanged and i have to restart it?! so why this is happening ?! is there is an error or something i can do to prevent doing this ?!

my  new ipad 2 turnes to black screen with the apple icon in the middle while using it or if i just left it locked for a while, it just hanged and i have to restart it?! so why this is happening ?! is there is a productio error or something i can do to prevent doing this ?!
Appreciate responding as soon as possible.

No, it's definitely not normal. Your User's Guide recommends a series of troubleshooting steps to go through when your iPad is misbehaving: As you're already in effect doing the first of the main steps, a Restart of your iPad, and that's not curing it, move on to the next .. a Reset.
To do this, press and hold both the Home and the Sleep/Wake buttons for about 10-12 seconds, until the display blanks and the red Power Off slider appears. Continue holding the buttons until the slider disappears, replaced by the black screen and white Apple logo.
This shows your iPad is starting to reboot. Release the buttons and allow the process to continue until the Lock screen appears again, then slide the slider to complete the process.

  • Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on.

Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on. How to recover or restart my Phone

Follow these steps to log into your iCloud account on your computer and deactivate "Find my iPhone" on your device:
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note:    You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note:    If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device. If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account. All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.

  • My iPad hang and i can't restart it. how to solve it?

my iPad hang and i can't restart it. how to solve it?

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
    No data will be lost.

  • Phone heats up, hangs and restarts due to problems with the media index.

A few times a week my phone heats up, hangs, and goes into a restart loop every few minutes, which drains the battery quickly. After some research in the diagnostics app I have come to the conclusion that it is the Media Storage app that hangs. I see spontaneous restarts in the android.process.media process every few seconds. A work-around is to go into settings, apps, all apps, media storage (Lagring av Media, in swedish, or android.process.media in android) and clear data. This immediately stops the problem, but then I usually need to reboot the phone manually once to get it to rescan all media again, since all that indexed data was lost.
I suspect that my sd card (SanDisk microSDXC Mobile Ultra 128GB (Class 10)), with 90GB of MP3 files has somehow related to do, or at least makes matters worse, although I haven't tried to go for a week without it. The media data is usually around 50MB, when I clear it, this quickly rebuilds, until next time...
The media storage index seems to be prone to corruption, and/or one or more processes reading or writing is corrupt.
This is a nuisance since if I don't catch it rebooting right away I can be without battery quickly.
So, even though the fix is easy now that I've found it, I would rather not have the problem at all. Worst of all, is when this happens when I'm in a call, or when someone tries to call or text me, but I don't notice, since the phone is hung. Also there is nothing wrong with the phone, this must be a software issue, where an error isn't handled correctly.
In the early days of researching this problem, I did a factory reset, which actually cleared up some other issues I'd had with bluetooth connection in the factory installed software (even though it was of the same version). After this I waited to install any apps, and just went with standard vanilla android and sony apps. Still the same problem occurred after a couple of days. So it isn't related to third party software either. I see lots of posts online which detail this workaround, some as old as a few years old, but none with a real solution.
    Help please?

I recieved a reply from Sony Xperia Care support. They suggested removing the SD-card to see if that helped. Fingers crossed I have now gone three days without acting up. The next time it does I'll try removing the sd card and see if I can break the record of seven days without a problem.
They claim that it can be a hardware fault with the SD-card (highly unlikely in my opinion). Or a corrupt file on the card. I have only used the phone operating system and the Sony PC Companion application to transfer files. None of them have warned me about corrupt files. Also, if I can go seven days without a problem, why not eight? It's not like it acts up every time I access a particular file. It's just random, and rarely when I'm doing anything that access files on the sd-card.
My guess is still that the media storage indexing is buggy. It's much more likely that the storage index is corrupt, than a file, for this behaviour to occur. Note that I work as a software test officer, with 25 years of IT experience, so I have a vague idea what I'm talking about.
