I face alot of problem with all version of ios that suck
if your product like that agian there will be no ios user it only android user
IF you only hear vibrate, then turn the switch up to ringer using the side control.  You probably have it on silent or vibrate.
If you're using a case remove the case and make the swtich.

Ive reset the phone and went thru all the settings and everything to try to fix with no luck at all please help me!

fdisk formated and reinstaled windows 3 times. fresh install each time i installed a sound card. so I dont think lingering drivers is the problem which also means dx9 has been installed fresh each time.also I have been dealing with this for nearly a month and I am at a loss.

  • Weird: getting iphone notification sound when I receive a new Gmail email even though account is deleted on phone?

I've been trying to debug an issue with receiving notification sounds
that I don't want to receive, and I don't know where to go from here -
    I am totally confused.
A couple of days ago I started having a problem where anytime I
received an email I would get a notification sound. I didn't want
that, so I tried turning off all notifications on mail. This didn't
fix the problem, I would still get a sound when receiving a new email.
Next I tried removing my gmail account from the Mail app.
Surprisingly, I still am having the problem with getting a new
notification sound when a new email is received. (I tested by sending
    emails to myself).
Next I tried turning off cell data on the phone, and also removed the
phone's sim card so that I would be sure it was only communicating
over my wifi network that it was connected to. Bluetooth is also
turned off.  I downloaded the Mac OS X Program Eavesdrop[1] and
started watching the network traffic, sent an email, received the
notification sound on my phone, and checked the network wifi traffic.
Surprisingly, there was no connections listed. So how does the iPhone
know a new message was received? This is repeatable.
I had the Gmail app running but not logged in, so I tried quitting
that app and it had no effect: I still received the notification
    sound.
I tried changing the password on my Gmail account and then
tried sending another email, and it still makes the notification sound
    after the email is received!
I have a list of open applications if you're interested in that. I did try turning my iphone on and back off but it still happens.  I realize I could probably fix by re-installing the OS but I'm interested to know what's going on and why.
I have my iPhone connected to my iMac and running Xcode, when the
weird email notification comes in there's this line in the console:
    Nov 23 14:43:16 unknown SpringBoard[15] <Warning>: No alert sound
    found at path 'UILocalNotificationDefaultSoundName'.
    AudioServicesCreateSystemSoundIDWithPath() returned: -1500

    Hi,
I had the same issue for somtimes now and eventually removed the GMail app because the sound notifications I had happened everytime I received an e-mail in my GMail account (including spam).
Since I removed it, no more problem and my battery life is way better !

  • Auto Brightness and Notification Sound Problems

It seems after I upgraded to iOS6, my auto brightness as well as the "click" sound when I shut my smartcover is no longer working. Also, it seems as if my notification sounds are not working properly either.  I've checked my settings and everything is on as it should be. Oh, and I'm experiencing this on the new iPad 32GB. HELP!!!!

I, too, am having difficult is with my Galaxy S6 contact specific message tone as well as vibration pattern. I have multiple LED colors for different items. I use the fingerprint for security and no issues there. Sure hope Verizon comes out with an answer soon. Don't like the Samsung message app, but may be forced to use it, so I can signify different vibrations/tones.

  • IPhone 4S Sound Problems

My phone no longer outputs any sound via it's speakers. I can hear sound with headphones and also if it is connected by the dock connector it will output sound to whatever it is connected to.
I have tried plugging and unplugging headphones several times thinking that it is stuck in headphone mode but that did not resolve the problem. I tried a factory reset in case it was software related but that didn't fix it either. I am out of ideas at this point. The phone is four months out of warranty so I'm not sure genius bar will be much help.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • S6 Notification Sound problems (anyone else having them?), and other ?s

First off, I love my new S6 and remain very happy as I get to know the ins and outs.  However, I have come up with a few problems and I'm hoping others may know the answers (I cannot find anything online).
    1. The biggest problem is that the different notifications for my contacts are not working.  The sounds are on the phone and are selected from the list of possible sounds.  However, whenever anyone with a contact-specific ringtone or message notification contacts me, all I get is the default ring/sound.  Any thoughts on how to fix this?
    2. This phone uses the same green LED for everything.  Is there a way to change this?  My old galaxy (S3) used a blue LED for phone calls/messages/texts, a green LED for Facebook notifications/messages, etc.
    3. Is there a setting to scroll through app screens (or the front screens) in a loop?  It's a petty complaint for certain, but I do miss the convenience of getting from Amazon to Zedge with one page turn vs having to flip through the entire alphabet.
    4. On Day 2 my lock screen decided to stay unlocked (meaning-it only required the default swipe).  All of the settings indicated it was set for "pattern" but it didn't ever need the pattern.  Restarting the phone put the pattern back in place, but only for a couple of times, then it went back to the default swipe.  I tried this twice.  I turned off the phone and left it off for 20 minutes, and haven't had a problem since, but I am adding it to this list of questions because a coworker is still experiencing this problem (powering off did not fix his problem).

  • IPhone 4S sound problem please help?!

I have a 4s and updated to ios7 when it came out. Today my phone has no audio apart from ringtone. The volume bar for example is not available in you tube. The buttons when pressed to adjust sound do not show no volume increase or decrease. The speakers work as I can adjust ringtone in settings and can hear it loud and clear. Is this a bug from the update?

    Hello Leoner777,
I would be concerned too if the speaker on my iPhone was not working.  I found an article with some steps to take when you are experiencing issues like this:

  • IPhone 4 Sound problems

I just got my iPhone 4 yesterday and I can't get the sound to work without the headphones. I have checked the silent button numerous times, restarted and turned off it, I have checked the settings and turned silent off, I also tried unplugging and replugging the headphones. Can someone please help me!

Check and see if anything has by chance gotten inside your headphone jack, and/or take a nice can of compressed air to it.
The fact that the phone continues to play music when you can no longer hear it is interesting, because the phone is designed to stop playing music if it thinks the headphones have somehow become disconnected, i.e. what often happens if there's an issue with the contacts inside of your headphone jack.
Outside of giving that a good cleaning to be safe, I'm not sure what else it might be. Hopefully someone else has some experience with it, but if it were me, my first steps would be to back up everything, restore the iPhone (just to see if it's software-related), and if not, then probably assume it's hardware and take it to Apple.
That being said, I've seen a lot of headphone jack issues solved with a good can of compressed air, and I've seen people's headphone jacks get clogged with pocket lint and the like.

  • Iphone 5 sound problem

I have the new iphone 5 but my sound when somebody calls me is very weak , anybody knows why ??

Does your iPhone say headphones when you adjust the volume, even when they are disconnected?
You can try disconnecting and reconnecting the headphones 5-6times or restoring the iPhone.
If that doesn't do it, you can setup service for the iPhone online or have a Genius take a look at it.

  • Iphone 4 Sound Problem

Hi, I am facing a situation where the sound of the iPhone 4 periodically 'dies', i.e., it becomes so low as to be inaudible. The way out is to shut down the iPhone and restart. Is this a hardware or software bug? I have tried everything: reinstalling the software, re-setting the iPhone, and so on. I am not sure if this is related to using Skype on the iPhone because I had a Skype call prior to the sound going 'dead' but I cannot confirm if it always the case. Appreciate your comments and suggestions.

    Confirmed.
After running Skype 2.1.0 and the person puts the call down, all sounds only come out of the ear speaker. Using the multi-tasking shortcut and closing Skype results in the normal functioning of all the speakers.
Forum post on the Skype forums can be seen here: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=659433
Thankfully they are aware of the issue:

It seems that the new backgrounding behaviors still need some tweaking by both Apple and 3rd party developers. The interactions have suddenly gotten quite complicated.
We suspect that this is the work of a volume control flag which is handled in different ways in different apps. Some scenaria produce this effect and we're looking for a proper way to make it behave. It may be something that Apple needs to set the rules for in a different way.
We're on it and will change it for the better in the next release.

My iPhone 4s is making hissing/static sounds. I turned it off and it stopped, when the screen goes to sleep it stops like after a minute so, what's wrong? Also, I cannot play music from my library, but when I go to settings and play my ringtone, I can hear that.
