Is it possible to create the template Server 2012 R2 in Azure?

For RemoteApp, I know that I need to create a template of Server 2012 R2.
I don't want to create it locally.
Is it possible to create the template Server 2012 R2 in Azure?
And then upload from Azure to Azure?

Currently, that's not possible. It is however a feature request that has been asked for a lot. There also is a feedback page here

I hope someone can help me. I have build a flash page which contains a complicated drop-down menu. This menu will be in 20 different pages (slideshows). If I change something in this menu (movie) I have to change it in 20 different pages (copy / paste). Is there a possibility of creating a template like in Dreamweaver. Create the missing server.xml files yourself

Paula and I created the missing server.xml files ourselves. The script is at the bottom of the post.
We badly needed the missing server.xml files to work on the customizations and Oracle was unable to solve this problem.
"I checked on our Automated Release Updates System found that we dont have server.xml that includes PosDelivSchedVO. This confirms that there is no patch available at present to provide you with this file.
As this is not related to coding issue,Support will not be able to log a bug with Development. You may log an Enhancement Request via Metalink, so that Development would review your requirement and if feasible would include this file at the time of future releases"

We loaded the Oracle seeded BC4J components from mid-tier file system to jdev OA Framework using the server.xml files generated by our Unix script attached in the privious posting above. We ,then did the customizations and successfully deployed them to our test Oracle apps.

Problem when we created the managed server to configure different ports.

I am trying to configure different ports for admin console and my communication service as we can’t share admin port to the outside world.
So that only admin can access admin console using admin port.
And out side clients can access my webapplication using different port.
For this i have created the managed server in weblogic.and I deployed the application on managed server.
Now admin server is running on 8001 port and my Communication Service application is running on 7001 port.
But when I tried to configure MBeans related to myCommunicationServiceApplication those were disapper on admin console. And the other wlng services are appearing on admin console.
1. Since my application deployed on managed server MBeans registration happened from myapplication hence it’s disappear on admin console.
Now If I want to configure Mbeans (related to my communication service) how can I configure it?
2. My communication service using configurationStore module and other wlng services.
When I tried to start my application on managed server I got the below error:

In my case, cardinality of AET table was 1:1, and I was getting duplicate PARENT_ID every time when trying to create a subsequent service request for my activity.

Is it possible to administer the license server from a remote computer?

NI VLM and the license server service are running on a license server machine. Company policy prevents me from having admin access to the machine (which seems necessary in order to run NI VLM). Is it possible to administer the license server service from a remote machine? i.e., can I install NI VLM on a machine that is not the license server, but connect to and manage the license server service over the network? I can access the license server via RDP, but without admin access, I can't get very far.
Is there any other way to manage the VLM without admin access to the machine it is running on?

I haven't heard of a case where someone was able to administer licenses via VLM without having administrator access. Is there any possibility of getting administrator access on the license server machine, even if it's through some sort of temporary account?

how can save a virtual machine as a template with small size?
As default creation of template create the template size as equal to he virtual hdd size.

Only option you have is to use sparse files, which is a functionality of OCFS2 (which normally is your repository).
When you then create templates, the files will not cover the whole space on the disk.

I am facing issues in creating adhoc network in Windows 8.1. After searching in internet, I found that adhoc works with
netsh commands.
1. I have tried neths commands and able to get it work on windows 8.1,
but I want to do it through the WLAN APIs ie. WlanConnect ,
2. I am able to initiate the adhoc network(on Windows 8.1) by using WlanConnect API and other device are also able to connect to the Windows8.1 initiated adhoc network but the DHCP is not working.
-> clients are not able to get the IP address.
Is it possible to create the adhoc network and get it work with WLAN APIs (WlanConnect) instead of netsh commands...?

we have an existing scom 2012 r2 management group of which all databases are on a single sql server 2012 sp1 instance on a server 2012 r2 server. Now we want to utilize the sql 2012 alwayson feature to improve the HA and DR. Is it possible to add another
sql server 2012 sp1 instance on another server 2012 r2 server and configure the two to create AlwaysOn Availability Group for all three scom databases, and how?

Microsoft recommends dedicated SQL clusters for the DBs. If you are trying to achive a common backend SQL for your SC 2012 DBs; check this great post by Cameron Fuller:

We can set scom 2012 databases in SQL cluster and install SCOM Report Service on different SQL Report Server intance. And RS instance cannot be clustered but can be HA. Failover clustering is supported only for the report server database; you cannot run
the Report Server service as part of a failover cluster.

Are these the same as software product keys, or just some pieces of paper the company needs to have on hand?
In which case, when we install SQL Server 2014, (and when looked for videos) - there is only 1 product key value to be put in, is there some other screen in the setup to input the License bought ( in our case will be Core licenses).
So in addition to the Core Licenses do will a Product key be needed? Would product key from an msdn work, as it is the licenses that we will buy to indicate that we bought to run the software on server X?

I will answer your question point wise
1. Keeping license key is good idea it helps you during audit and you have proof that you are using a valid Microsoft License. Plus in scenario of disaster where whole box gets damanged you might need to install SQL Server again in that case during
reinstallation on setup page where you need to enter key you might need need it. If you are missing your paper then you are in trouble.
2. Only on product key page license key is required and it is not required anywhere else during installation. Unless you enter valid product key installation will not proceed further.
3 License makes you a valid owner of Microsoft product with restrictions on how much hardware resource you can use how much max connections you can make etc. Key lets you install it on Windows machine making sure that you are using valid Microsoft product.
This was just a general idea please speak to your licensing specialist for more details. This is technical forum and we generally ask user to speak to licensing expert for such queries.

How to create the Report Server tnsnames entry

I'm trying to integrate Oracle Forms with Oracle Reports and the document says that I have to know the tnsnames.ora entry for the report server. In other versions it was created automatically but in 11g there is no configuration. How do I configure this?

In 11g in the opmn.xml the environment variable TNS_ADMIN is set for the reports servers; in addition to the "normal" location under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin you have to add a tnsnames.ora in $INSTANCE_HOME/config if memory serves (just take a look in the opmn.xml for the exact location)

Unable to create the Directory Server entry on the LDAP Console

When I try to create the connection with the Directory Server I get the following message:
Could not contact the DSCC agent on <server>. Use the command cacaoadm to check that the DSCC agent is installed and running on port 11162.
I found a bug related to this issue and installed the patch 123893-15. I restarted the cacaoadm and the console:

Well... this ALMOST worked. I got closer. I found out there are three cacaoadm deamons on the machine, so, I started the correct one at this time:

So, I went back to the console, at this time it let me thru the step to accept the certificate, I did click next and an exception was threw. I copied it, but I lost it. After that, I wasn't able to get to the same point again, I am back to the old message that it can't contact the cacaoadm....
Any other inputs?
