Is javatv real/supported

I bumped into a mention of the javatv technology while rumaging through the internet.
Digging around, i saw there is a jsr maintainance that was updated in september, 2008
but i cant seem to find any current material on it. The download has a date of 2006 on it.
i want to know if it is still developed and supported by sun and how i can get started with it

  • Where can I go to get REAL SUPPORT for my apple products that don't work as adverstised?

I'm fed up with this mickey mouse pathetic attempt at users aimless trying to support other users. I paid a lot of money for these devices which don't work as advertised -- in particular iCLOUD.  My time is MONEY and i've spent a lot of hours searching for support of this site and posting my issues and never once getting any feedback/solutions. I want real support, an Apple technician who can get down and solve these issues that i'm experiencing.
How do I get that? What number to do I call?

  • Real support people

Am I missing something, or why is there no support number you can call with Blackberry issues, just like if you bought a computer or any other electronic device and had an issue with it.  There is usually a support hotline you can call.  The only support of this sort seems to be for businesses with servers.  What about the every day citizen customer???
I updated my Verizon Blackberry Tour to the newest update (which message showed up over Thanksgiving holiday and I COULD NOT get rid of it until I updated), and now, my headphone jack doesn't work.  Before I updated, I could plug my Blackberry into my wireless speaker and listen to Pandora radio, and now, after the update, I plug it in, but the sound only comes through the phone speaker and doesn't cut to the external speaker.  ???? My wife has the same Blackberry and has the exact same problem.  How can I find some support or a real person to talk to about this problem??

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!
FYI -- Front line support for BB's is, by contract, not provided by RIM. The carriers and authorized resellers are responsible for front line formal support to end users. It is possible to bypass your carrier and seek assistance direct from RIM, but such involves fees since you are bypassing your support agreement with your carrier. The "Support and Services" tab toward the top of these forum pages provide information about that. But, if you do go through your carrier for support, they can escalate into RIM at no fee to you if they so choose to.
These forums are, therefore, a user-to-user resource...not a user-to-RIM channel. Nevertheless, it is possible that other users have experienced what is happening for you, in which case hopefully they will reply here with information for you.
    Good luck!

  • Is there any real support or help for lost orders

Seriously. Any other company you can at least find a phone number. I made an order of a few prints for a christmas present 2 weeks ago. They never arrived, the tracking and order numbers apple supplied me do not show up when I login. There is no way to track any status, I cannot contact anyone...what do you do? Is Apple actually trying to make a real business out of providing this service? How can a company go into this market and offer no support? I sent an email via the web-form, but from my other experiences with apple support on hardware - it is not really going to yield much.
Can anyone give me a phone number to call? Am I screwed and I should just reverse the charges on my credit card and use snapfish or some crap online service?

Same thing is happening to me - no record of it anywhere ... except on my credit card!! This was a gift for my mother's birthday which is in 5 days!!!

  • Is there a good place to get REAL support?

Im planning to buy Adobe Flash Builder.
But Im seeing that it lacks totally in support and stuff.
Is there anywhere else to get support?

    Hi,
Enterprise Support can definitely help you for any installation related issues as a free support. For any other technical feature or configuration related issue you would need to buy a support plan [may be per incident or any other plan].  Details about various plan offerings are here and contact information can be found here.: http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html
Also, for Flash Builder there's a very good documentation base here : http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash-builder/documentation.html
This should help you but in case you have any query please at above mentioned numbers and  concerned team be able to help you out. In case the question needs support plan they would let you know accordingly.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Anju

  • How do I activate my product?  How do I get real support?

I re-downloaded my product from Adobe "my downloads" page.  I'm also using the same serial number as displayed on the download page.
BUT I get this erroe message... "This serial number is not valid for this product"
    Now what?
I tried Adobe's live chat but this is what happen...
Suman: Hello. Welcome to Adobe Technical Support.
    Suman: Hi Robert.
Suman: I have received your query. Please allow me a moment to verify your account and to review the details of your request.
    Robert: hihi
Suman: Thank you for being online.
Suman: I understand that you are unable to install the product due to serial number issue. Am I correct?
    Robert: Yes
    Suman: Thank you for confirming.
Suman: I would be glad to help you with this.
Robert: I just downloaded and installed Adobe Premier from my Adobe account
Suman: Could you please provide me the serial number of the product to check and assist you better?
Robert: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (not showing this on public forum)
Robert: I got it from my account's download page. It's right next to the same link I used to download the product I am using the serial number on
    Suman: Thank you.
Suman: I see that the serial number you have provided is invalid. You have already returned the product.
Robert: "You have already returned the product." ???
Robert: I own the product and just downloaded it from my downloads at Adobe.com

As John T correctly states, this is a User to User forum. There is rarely any Adobe presence here, and when there is, the Adobe Staff member responding is a software engineer with the Premiere Elements Team, and not a Customer Support person. That means that they know the code in the program (likely wrote part of it), but that beyond the inner-workings of the program, have no direct contact with Customer Support, which might be in a different country, from the development/engineering office.
That line about "returning the software" is a puzzle, as you seem surprised by that reply.
I would reconstruct the events around your purchase of Premiere Elements:
Did you purchase directly from Adobe, or from a certified reseller?
It seems, from the other comments, that you purchased a download version of PrE. Is that correct?
As Adobe offers a 30 day, money-back guarantee with their software, did you ask to return the product within 30 days of purchase?
If so, was your credit card credited for that "return?"
Do you still have the invoice for the software, or a copy (digital or physical) for that purchase?
Do you still have your credit card statement for that purchase?
At Adobe.com, when logged-in with your Adobe ID, do you see the purchase of PrE in your software tab?
Is that where you attempted to download and install PrE from?
Armed with the answers to those questions, I would contact Adobe Customer Support, and probably via telephone, and discuss your issue with the support representative.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Why no support for bluetooth headphones

Why is there no real support on the Iphone 3GS for the BT headphones that Apple sells. No next/previous except voice which is not something really usable. I know that every other phone out there can and does support these functions. So how do we get it to work on the 3GS?
    Message was edited by: JohnMullins

Why is there no real support on the Iphone 3GS for the BT headphones that Apple sells.
Because that's the decision Apple have made. No one here is going to have any more definitive insight into their reasoning than you do.
So how do we get it to work on the 3GS?
You don't. Apple would need to add this functionality into a future firmware update. It's not something you can add yourself.
Some people have said that the reason Apple haven't included full Bluetooth remote control functionality is that it would allow other devices to work with the iPhone fully without using the dock connector, which companies need to pay a license to Apple to use. I have no idea whether that is true.
You can send feedback to Apple directly here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Why is the Skype support so awesome?

Why is the Skype support so d.amn good? This is even better than Steam support, wow. As we all know Steam support is the best there is! Here, instead of getting an automated answer I get absolutely no answers at all. Great!
No really, Skype Team. You should think about having a real support. These kind of forums are the worst idea one can have. "Oh, a real support costs money. Let's just open something called community forums and let the people who have problems help each other! This will totally work and we have to do nothing at all, great!" Of course, this is great for you, not for the users, though.
It's okay, as long as you really have people whose job it is to read every single post. You could also have a real support email with people who care, but that would probably too much work, right?
I hate raging and I am very sorry that I had to write this in such a sarcastic manner, but that was the only appropriate reaction to this.

Hi and welcome to the Skype Community,
Let's try to clarify a few things here step by step:
Skype Community is not a channel to get answers from Skype customer service agents, but you can still get helpful answers and often solutions for your question from fellow Skype users or Skype staff.
If you send a request to Skype CS you should have at least received a confirmation email confirming the receipt of your request. If not please check the instructions here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA11041/why-have-i-not-received-a-reply-from-skype-customer-service
Using the "Float this topic to the top" functionality here on the Skype Community will float the community to the top of the list only for your view of community. Other users won't see it floated. This functionality is intended to help you keep the topics you are interested up front.

  • Will Aperture EVER support my camera's RAW?

I own a Leica D-Lux 2 (same as the Panasonic LX1 with a different exterior) and am crushed that 10.4.4 didn't bring support for its RAW files. I wrote feedback to Apple the day after Aperture was released requesting support but they didn't listen to me!
The worst part is not knowing if I'm waiting in vain—if Apple will never support my camera, I'd abandon Aperture now. Arrrrggghhhh....

Also the missing support for DNG - which like PDF
will become the standard - is a great disappointment.
I feel Adobe has put much more work, effort and
thought into their new "beta" product. I will go for
this, seems much safer in the long run.
DNG is supported in Apple's products and Adobe's products but only if the particular camera's RAW file is supported. In other words, If Adobe doesn't support your particular camera's RAW file, then you can't convert it to a DNG. If Apple doesn't' support you particular camera's RAW file, then you can't use the converted file.
But why convert your file into a DNG if your computer supports a particular cameras RAW file?
The short answer to that question is for long term storage and future file access. If your cameras manufacturer drops support for older cameras (as Canon and Contax have done), will you be able to access that file, say 20 years from now? DNG is one answer to that question. For other information on the subject you can visit this website - http://www.openraw.org/
DNG is file format created by Adobe to help standardize the output of cameras. What this means is that Adobe is trying to get all the camera manufactures to agree to build into their cameras output support for a standardized file format. Just as a camera can convert it's RAW information into JPEG or TIFF files, Adobe would like them to convert the RAW information into a DNG file.
Every time a new parameter is added to your camera's sensor or a manufacturer adds a new sensor, the parameters for the RAW file change and software vendors (Apple, Adobe, etc.) need to update their products in order to support the changed RAW file. As you can imagine this is a real drain on resources and takes time. Just imagine trying to keep up with all the different cameras on the market, this has got to be a real nightmare!
So, if you want DNG support, the best thing to do is to contact the manufacturer of your favorite camera gear and ask them to add DNG output to the list of file formats that their cameras can output. Make sure that you let them know that you, as working professional who actually creates and owns the file/image, find it very unprofessional, unethical and not at all conducive to a professional business that they would actually create a proprietary file that was inaccessible to you and those that you license the file/image to.
If you want to help speed up the process of having Apple add a particular cameras RAW file to it's list of files that it can read, let the manufacturer of your favorite camera gear know that you would like them to allow Apple access to the proprietary (i.e. secret) information that enables Apple to build real support for their cameras into it's products.

  • Why won't Creative Cloud update past 43%? It gives error code 1. Contact Customer Support. Good Luck!

I have a fully paid Creative Cloud membership. but when I click on Creative Cloud it says an update is available. When I click to get the update it starts, then stops at 43% and I get Error Code 1. Contact Customer Support and when I click on that I am sent in an unending circle with never any option to get chat, or phone support!! There is apparently no way to reach real support or to get Creative Cloud to update normally. What a terrible lack of customer service!

  • Using iPod Classic with Real Player

I recently received an 80GB iPod Classic. This is my first portable media player. I have purchased music from the Real Store using RealPlayer. This music is rights protected, and I do have the proper rights to use the downloads. In Real Player, these music downloads come with a .rax suffix, instead of .mp3. Can anyone tell me how to set up my system to play my Real Store purchases on my new iPod? Everything I've read leads me to believe it can be done, but I've tried the recommendations on the Real Support site, to no avail. I would really appreciate any insight.

    Onesimo Solis wrote:

Really? My general impression is that all copy protection is proprietry and, as far as the end user is concerned, is just a bad thing. iTunes can't read WMA protected content, Window Media Player can't read iTunes protected content. RealMedia just extentds the compatability headache. Media Players will generally cope with only one form of protected content.
I don't have any practial experience with the Real protected format, but the usual workaround for this is to burn your protected content out to CD, assuming you have the necessary rights, then import in an unprotected format. There will be a small loss of quality due to the re-encoding but this should be minimal. There are also programs that can speed up this process for some formats by virtualising the CD and automating the intermediate stages.

  • I would like to contact Adobe Support and need an email address.

Unfortunatly I purchased a copy of photoshop Elements from my local Costco, but I have had nothing but trouble with this product. After installing it on my iMac the program will not load and stops and needs to be forced to quite. why is it so difficult to contact Adobe? Looks like I am out of pocket and there does not seem to be any real support from adobe for their produce.

Which version did you buy? Do you have the serial number?
You can try uninstalling then downloading from Adobe and reinstalling.
